I visited this store on 7/15/2021 to purchase Some items while there I attempted to use the mens Rest Room when I entered there was urine all over the floor The smell of urine with so bad that I had to leave. There is no way that the urine smell was from today. This restroom had not been cleaned for some time. It smelled like walking into a housing development from back in the day.When I got home I decided to extend a courtesy call to the manager at Stop & Shop and make him/her aware of my experience however I was placed on hold for approximately 10 minutes and no one ever came on the line. Unsafe , unhealthy, unacceptable.
I asked if they had an item and they sent me into 3 different aisles. Waisted my time looking for my item and never found it. I asked again if they can help and they just pointed fingers. No one wanted to actually get up and help me. Very annoyed and disappointed. The tops and shoprite in Carmel are way better!
The best part of my day is going to Stop & Shop in Somers Commons. I look forward to going to the Starbucks in the store. The employees are always friendly. Shout out to Barbara who works at Starbucks. Without even asking shes preparing my favorite drink the way I like it. Ive been to other Starbuck locations and I just dont get the same great beverage I get when Barbara prepares my drink. Thank you Barbara for your attention to details and always making my day! 🙂☕

Great food store and pharmacy. Got my flu shot, then a few weeks later got my covid booster shot.Went grocery shopping after both and was able to find almost everything I was looking for, except temptee whipped cream cheese.
My star score doesn’t really reflect what I’m going to write here. I just stopped by to grab something and while I was pulling into the lot I observed a man taking in the shopping carts that he collected from the parking lot.He got up to the entrance by the time I was parked and walking up. As I was approaching the doors I noticed that another man who works there was screaming at the worker to bring them somewhere else, either inside or to the other side.He was in the workers face, shouting and screaming and making a big scene while others were walking in. First of all, I really do hope the managers have a talk with this man because you do not scream at other employees especially when there are customers around and can see/hear. Second of all, whoever this man is should also get talked to because he has no sense of professional authority while giving directions to an employee. You don’t scream at a worker who is lugging in carts when it’s 25 degrees outside. And I will reiterate this, you certainly don’t do it while customers are around.Also, it’s a pandemic. Try to get your employees to refrain from getting in the face of their other employees during this time. No one needs to see that. And no one meeds to endure getting yelled at like that.
Great for senior citizens to shop comfortable between 6 to 7:30 am before regular hours open...
I was in this morning to see my favorite Starbucks batista, Barbara! Barbara is always friendly, courteous and kind! She is an added value to Stop n Shop and Starbucks! There should be more Barbaras in this world!!!
They have food and a variety of personal care products, medicine and seasonal toys. Thats pretty much all there is, but its great!

Always a pleasure going to my shop &shop supermarkets. The employees there are so helpful and pleasant. I have a Certify service dog I wear my tag around my neck and theres never been a problem. However the employees just love him. Thank you for caring.
Go here all the time. Friendly staff and store it self is very clean. Produce is lacking though. More bad than good so you really have to look before you buy. Deli never seems to have enough people working when its busy so always long line. Something with meat. Seafood is okay and the stuff they bake is good. Good selection of beer as well. Prices are sometimes high as well u less you get a sale. Also has a Starbucks and bank inside

Several weeks in a row their clorex wipes were dry and their purell is empty. I reported this at the curtesy desk. Concerned about the cleanliness of the store if these basics aren’t monitored. I hope this comment encourages them to rectify the situation. I will shop their one more time and if it’s the same I will shop elsewhere. The staff is nice and helpful but with Covid concerns cleanliness is an essential issue.
Standard grocery chain. The location further up Rt 6 is more updated. ut smaller. I prefer that store. More choices for prepared foods

Lady at the self check out just told me the machine was broken then 2 minutes later she touches the screen and its working, dont be a liar just say give me a minute. Horrible i will be only going to the mahopac one from now on
I buy beer here (of which they have a nice selection of local and non-stop local craft brews). And yes, its expensive, but hey, its New York people!They also have a decent healthy section which I frequent. The produce is it or miss so it really depends.Employees at are helpful about 60% of the time so that could improve. But I live a mile away.
Your card readers must have had an update. Had to re-enter my card 2-3 times because it couldnt read the chip. This happened at the pharmacy checkout and at the self serve checkout at the front of the store. No other problems.
Today was a rainy day. The floor were clean, and not slippery, though crowded with shoppers. The employees are hard at work to keep the inventory stocked. The cashiers work hard to keep the lines short. Overall, this is a very good, local Stop & Shop.
The store is clean, well stocked, and has a variety of specialties. There is a florist, pharmacy, organic selection, bakery, and a large meat, seafood, and produce department. They also have plenty of cashiers and Check Yourself registers. They also have scan it guns so you check yourself out as you shop.
The prices are cheap, Ill give them that.The QUALITY is the pits! Im very disappointed every time I shop there.In particular, the meat simply sucks. Very poor variety and selection. The cuts look like they were done with a hatchet. The packaging is the worst Ive seen . . . obviously, nobody CARES ABOUT MUCH here.The veggies are OK, but you must be careful not to choose rotting stuff.I dont do deli. The rest is prepackaged.The staff is friendly and helpful.

Worked here for years and other stop and shops and can tell you this is one of the nicer stores in the area. Not many places carry more products and have the same selection or variety of goods. The store is well maintained and clean and is kept pretty organized with the staff of hard working people there. I would recommend shopping here if you live in the area. Make sure you say hi to Warren for me.
The meat department is lacking in every way. More needs to be done regarding Hispanic cuisine - missing many items in this dept. There is no bank inside this store. The staff are wonderful!!
My issue is with the deli department, Ive gone a few times and every time I get ham or deli meat its not fresh. This is the third time I have gone and got deli meat and its discolored with freezer burn, Ive had the throw out over two pounds of deli meat because of this, it is unsanitary and not safe for customers please get your act together
I have shopped here for years, but since they remodeled, I have become more and more disappointed with the store. They no longer carry products I buy, like San Marzano tomatoes. Last week, I had to return a bag of celery that was moldy when I opened it. Within the past few weeks, they have been out of stew meat , turkey cutlets, and fresh ginger. These should be always available. I have found several items in the dairy case that are outdated. Lastly, the auto machine for ordering from the deli is oftentimes not working. Overall, this store has gone down hill, and the managers need to assess what real improvements need to be made.
Really nice store with fresh produce, fish stand and quality meat. The cashiers are friendly and helpful too! But favorite part is a Starbucks within the store 😉
I went into Stop and Shop at 8:30 am. It was the perfect time to shop there. It wasnt crowded at all. I was able to make my purchases and get out in a timely manner. Any time Ive gone there in the afternoon it is always very crowded.
About the same as previous times I have reviewed, but they have established areas for buy online pick-up at store parking (8 sign marked spots) and pick up (half the old customer service desk and adjacent space).
My favorite is the store at Baldwin Place. Good staff, good prices, great selection. (though I wish they had Planet Oat CREAMY oatmilk and Stella Dora SESAME COOKIES).
This week again I would have to say a 2. The only reason is that I have been to other stores this month and have gotten fresher produce ( way fresher and ripe) and non glue meat from the rack so to say. Today I went to the Baldwin Place Stop and Shop.... my hometown store.... I looked in the meet section for either Sirloin or Tri Tip steak. Didnt see anything that looked worth serving my family, nor potential culinary clients. So I asked the butcher to cut me 2 3/4 sirloin steaks, he proceeded to walk out to the meat rack as I call it and handed me a package of a fatty substance labeled Sirloin, but it was old and looked like glue meat. To prove my point I had the butcher watch as I held the old meat package on its side and the meat fell apart!!!!! The so called butchers response.... sorry to busy to help you. SMH
Been going here since the place opened, but will move to Acme. Im so tired of standing at the deli fo2 15-20 minutes with 4-5 people behind the counter and only one cutting meats. And the older black gentleman thinks its a dating pool. Just ew. Im done.Stop & Shop requests we give them another chance. Please tell me how youre rectifying the long wait times and I will return.

Such a dirty store. The only clean aisle was the frozen meals section. As an individual who works in Quality the cleanliness of the store leads me to question their Food Safety. Disgusting! When is Wegmans coming to Yorktown?!?!?!
Overall things were pretty good. Two things I was looking for were not in, but not the end of the world.

3 times now I have ordered Boarshead ham and was deceived with store brand ham... Shady practices in the meat department and I will not be ordering without watching them slice the meat. Will be contacting boarshead too, so obvious what they are doing thinking nobody will notice...
I like the variety of items, often not found elsewhere. Would be 5 * but I routinely have problems with their self check out scanners.
We used Celina as our wedding florist, and I couldnt be more pleased. She did an amazing job with all the bouquets, an altarpiece, and a beautiful floral pumpkin decoration. Honestly for a fraction of the cost, you can get just as great service and quality flowers for your wedding at your local grocery store. If you live in the Westchester area- go to Celina for sure!!

Its a supermarket! Bigger variety than many Stop & Shops, and busier, too. They havent run out of hand wipes for the carts yet, although thus far they are unlikely to have any in the store for customers to buy...
Clean, well stocked and convenient but nothing unusual for a supermarket.
One of the better supermarkets in the area, I do like they have a healthy size organic section.

Good store but missing a few items and the price game can be annoying.
Only real complaint is many of the sale items are sold out by 11:00am on Sunday. So best go early if that is your mission!

There is a better variety of product in Stop and Shop then there is an Acme and ShopRite. At times someone needs to have a better judgement call on how many registers to open at one time.

Brand new ,hugh ,grocery store ,kinda expensive ,shop 4 youre vargins but meats n veggies are the very best n sometimes spending more 4 food n so very worth the extra pricing
Ive always loved Stop & Shop at the prices are going higher and higher and you seem to be getting less for the money and around the holidays the flowers seem to almost double in price

2022-05-21No credit cards accepted today, although right after I retrieved $$ from the ATM I saw customers using cards.When I questioned the customer service person she was very short and rude.

2022-05-04Excellent quality of variety of food choices. Great deli, bakery and meat departments. Fantastic customer service workers. I highly reccomend Stop & Shop for others for shopping or delivery of their groceries. Parking is excellent including handicap parking. Very Organized. 👋👍😀

2022-06-15Its a grocery store, plenty of registers, the app is awful compared to Acme but the prices are cheaper overall. If you shop here, youll get what yah need. Theres a mini Starbucks inside but the workers are lame and cant be bothered, skip it. Business as usual otherwise.

2021-09-15This was my main supermarket to go to before we moved out of state. Very well planned out S&S with a pharmacy and a starbucks within. The store sadly got more and more dirty over the years but it was definitely a very good supermarket.

2021-06-09I have always loved Stop and Shop and have been shopping here since the opened many years ago. My issue today is that it seems that the trend is to discourage those of us with large families from shopping here. I have a growing family with 3 children and the carts keep getting smaller, and the checkout lanes get smaller. It is far more convenient to bag as you go, but the carts no longer hold 4 bags, 2 maybe 3 squeezed in. And since the size of the carts discourages one from using the bags in the carts, you are forced to go to a checkout lane and unload everything. The problem there is, the checkout lanes are too small. So you cannot put all of your groceries on the counter and have the cart empty. So, you must then leave the checkout lane and go outside to get a second cart in order to start bagging. In total, completely inconvenient. I shop once a week, and do not have the availability to shop multiple times a week just to make the orders smaller.So the question is, why did they make everything smaller, if not to inconvenience and discourage those who purchase a lot at once?

2021-09-08Sadly, I must rate the Somers S&S on a lower scale. I have shopped here for years and I just find that this store has declined in the following ways: 1)cleanliness...get rid of the robot and hire a person to tidy up the place. 2) flower shop....you had a beautiful flower shop that I often utilized and now there is no staff and the selection appears to have declined in quality. Too bad. 3) its just not the same shopping experience that I used to have there and I find myself either going to your competitor (with cheaper prices) or driving up to the Mahopac store (cleaner).
