This store has to step up. They had nothing I needed. Their shelves are often empty... for days. I go for convenience... how can a deli dept be out if everything... how can pet shelves be empty for almost a week and frozen food dept often not supplying major items.. oh and because your management doesnt give you the right to be rude.
Store is ok. It’s Small so the selection is limited. If your from the area and looking for specific items your better off going the extra few minutes to the Holbrook stop and shop. The Holbrook Store is bigger and also you get out quicker to. One tip I’d give this store is it needs more cashiers. I know it’s a small store but every time I go there is always maybe two people on register if even. Overall not terrible.
Good bakery. Great selection of all the things youd expect to see in a supermarket. But terrible fruit and produce. The quality of the fruit is so inconsistent that I usually avoid buying any here.They do have a large and varied selection of fresh and packaged organic products. The folks that work here are great. They are friendly and helpful, always. The store is clean but its an older store so the aisles are kind of narrow. Theyve upped thier game since competition in the area is increasing. Did I mention the employees? Theyre wonderful.
I have lived in Sayville for many years and this has become the WORST grocery store around. Staff behind customer service are rude. Today a young brunette was especially nasty. Also, I’ve reviewed the produce department in the past. It is horrid. Yesterday all the strawberries were molded. You need an overhaul. I don’t know who is managing this store but there is no excuse for the terrible experiences I’ve had.
Decent Organic selection. All the fresh foods are always of great quality. Rarely is something shelved as close to the end of its lifespan. With Fire Island Ferries right nearby, the store gets a lot of turnover on its products, so things are always moving - meaning rarely will things sit on shelves.
Constantly moving products around making them difficult to find . They are inconsistent with the products they do carry. They cant seem to get their shelves restocked which is surprising as they are a national chain with massive buying power yet uncle Giuseppes is a small chain and their shelves are stocked as if bothing was happening ad far as carona. Dont get me started on the deli department. Everythingbis preslice now and i can understand why but does that mean they should be slicing cold cuts 1/4 inch thick!? Shows pure laziness and complete lack of care which seems to be the stop and shop montra in almost every department. I no longer care that this store is 1/2 mile from my house i will be spending my money elsewhere.
They ha a billboard with signs, you couldnt see no returns no refunds not even if sold yp sour milk for $5.00 during Covid-19, normally $3.79.Price iguaging everything in store, no restock, manager was extremely rude would bot take back sour milk paid $10 to purchase another half gallon- for Silk Lactose free milk-$500!! Signs for customers not pose properly bu customer service. Whenu go in go straight in te market to shop, register to pay & leave.Ypu would only know if u had to stop at Customer Service, responsible for taking back bad products they get credited for it!Tey wouldnt, although I was very nice, she light brown short hair lady was very rude!Again, with ice cream walled out adyer paying & right back in, realized both icecream with Dairy.Just wanted to exchange, or store credit, told me sogns al over, u would hvto go through SURROUNDING signs to see & read instead OF ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS O EXCHANGES AT THIS TIME.Easy to read!No.U couldnt see!Read te whole thing, found a couple in parking lot after she was rude.Customers , always be curious to.We all are going through.If u cannot kep pur disposition a kind & curtios one no matter ypr day, you neve b rude.Never will go back!!The p lost apt in VAN wre so hapygave safely with gloves& mask, wanted to make sure SMG god cane of it as I wa very upset way I was treated at this particular branxh.One manager could ruin a customers whole shopping experience !I made it end well, with gvg to a needy couple instead of throwing away. Dont believe in wasting anything. They BLESSED me and I felt good to be nice so easy to be kind!
Worst shopping check out experience at Stop & Shop Sayville this morning. I ran in for two items. The checkout person Ruthie cursed saying JC when i wanted to run and swop something because of the price. Unfriendly and rude ensures that i will never ever go back to that store.
Losing products and getting more expensive ones. Some folks just cannot afford name brand stuff. For what I used to get for $25...now costs about $40.And who hires these people? One....one is lovely....the rest pretty much have no customer service skills and zero respect that they are working IN THE PUBLIC ARENA
Stop & Puke. Gag me with a spoon. If you make it past the pan-handlers and the outside-the-door employee smokers then maybe you have a chance at surviving to shop. To avoid a real nightmare dont go during rush hour. Can I get a key? PS: The motor-mouth curly hair guy at the deli counter mustve been vaccinated with a phonograph needle.

2022-04-19I just have a suggestion maybe, We love shopping at your store. Always clean and very friendly employees.I love the bakery Department. You guys make the best muffins/pies. Mind you, when you get them fresh. I have recently purchased some peach and apple pies that were prior frozen. And some stale muffins, which is such a disappointment cause when they are fresh they are the best.Now I’m not being unrealistic, I realize at times you make more then you can sell. But why not offer a discount on the older product. It’s just so disappointing when you buy a pie to serve after dinner to guests and it’s still frozen but being sold as fresh. Why not sell them and warn consumers that we are buying frozen pies and maybe even with muffins or other baked goods out the old ones in a plastic tin stating day old, maybe give an incentive like a dollar off. Just a thought. I’m not trying to nip pick cause you guys when you do it fresh it’s done right.

2022-01-10Ive been shopping here for years. Cashiers Lori and Angela are great. Very friendly. I go out of my way to make sure Lori checks me out. She is an absolute sweetheart. Highly recommended.

2022-01-13The place is a mess! the floor is really dirty and the prouduce isn’t that grand. the staff however is very friendly! especially the customer service department, the young ladies who work it are very friendly and understanding when it comes to me having difficulties with the digital coupons! the young girl, i think victoria? helped me out greatly! i will be returning!

I am both thankful and grateful because I lost a $20 bill while rushing around the store and you to the team effort of the staff I was able to get it back.The store is clean efficient and everyone is friendlySpecial shout out to the woman behind the counter who ran out in the parking lot for me, it meant so much to me

2022-02-02Weve been to numerous Stop&Shops over the years.This one is in Sayville and we havent been there in a while. We love the way that all Stop&Shops are set up.You can walk in and know where look for what you need.

2021-12-11Tuesday I witnessed My mother who’s 80 years old, being treated with such respect and kindness from the two young guys she thinks there names were Matt and george behind the customer service counter. Great work stop and shop. This store is always a pleasure to shop in.

2021-12-14I am writing tonight as I am very disappointed & upset at our local Sayville Stop & Shop. I went into pick up items tonight. I was astounded at how many people were shopping without masks. I went to customer service ,asked why they arent enforcing this new mandate? the young woman expressed that they are yelling at people who arent wearing themI looked at her in disbelief ,said theres no one yelling at anyone- they dont even have one single sign anywhere. Even employees were not wearing them, I saw the gentlemen in the seafood area without one. She asked me if I wanted to talk to a manager, I just said Id appreciate you to tell them and please put a sign up and if I have to wear it, then everyone should be … its only fairNo one is better than anyone else.Just wear the mask!!!!!!

2021-09-20I waited over 20 minutes to be checked out. Then I bought alcohol and it needed to get an override from a manager. Except the manager was running the self checkout. So I instead decided not to get it at the register and to pay it at the courtesy desk. Only to find out nobody was at courtesy! Sorry to write such a review I feel so bad for this store and it’s staffing issues but you definitely need more employees.
