This supermarket is terrible theres never any food . Theres not enough restocking being done. The food it either High price for garbage quality or its just disgusting. The sale items are never there to actually buy . I go almost everyday hoping to get a restock item to feed my family and make dinner . Im glad we are getting two new supermarkets in the area and I really miss best yet market. What happened to you guys???its truly a shame how you serve your customers.
What happened to this store!?Low on stock on everything.. carrots were slimy with mold. Just all was sloppy& in disarray & out of stock :(Lots of new markets coming to town..they better look deep & hit the reset button!!!Larger stores than them have gone out of business...

Maybe I will get an answer.Good Morning,I searched extensively for your email address this morning. As a business owner myself, when clients have feedback I listen. Service is important whether direct or indirect. I am perplexed that such a large company has not corrected an Inherent issue with your paper bags.As you know, in New York due to local ordinances we are required to purchase bags. I am fully aware this is to encourage reusable bags in order to better the environment. While going green is important, busy adults like myself forget these bags often.This morning shopping in your location (Store 2505) my day was met with an on going frustration with most of your stores. Not only are the bags attenuated they lack handles. I am a father of 3. Most trips to your location usually include sizable items. These items have sharp corners. The bags tear almost immediately. This is even worse that they do not have handles for easy transportation.Once you arrive home they are futile thus adding multiple trips to and from the house. As a loyal customer I am asking these bags be changed. While I do also understand the “selling, general and administrative expense” of doing so. Your loyal customer everywhere will appreciate this.Thank you in advance.
Prices are okay, workers dont seem eager to help in fact one was totally clueless when I needed help recently and just told me to ask someone else. Last 2 visits there was no disinfecting wipes for carts and the hand sanitizer dispenser was out of power. Gross. Asked a worker nearby and she basically blew me off, she seemed completely unaware of any solution to the problem.
I like going to this store, but i am disappointed though that this stop and shop does not carry much Caribbean food, which makes me drive all the way to Riverhead (old country rd) to Gala Fresh for all the Caribbean food items i need and my family needs. Other than that, Stop and Shop has great prices.
I’m giving 5 stars to this place because of how reliant my family and I are on curbside. Inside the store is constantly packed and the parking lot is totally insane but that isn’t their fault. As in any place if you are kind and friendly they are kind and friendly back. The curbside only spots always have empty cars in them but again that isn’t their fault. They have been so important to my family for helping us keep our fridge packed and food on the table while keeping us safe that we are very grateful to have them and their employees who answer the phone politely and are very polite when they come to the car.
I purchased some items this morning. The freezers in the store were not working properly. I purchased two Natures Promise Organic Coconut Fruit Bars. I went to return them because both boxes were totally melted. I was told by Customer Service they cannot take back any returns. I understand that but, it is not a customers fault that the freezers in store are not working. Customer Service should have refunded my purchase. They also need more training dealing with customers.
This place is the worst if youre expecting the registers to actually have cashiers! They only have like 3 open registers which equals angry & aggravated customers-people need jobs-i suggest hiring some! Also many sections of the shelves & store are empty,cleared out so leaves you confused-store closing? And how close are they monitoring expiration dates being that they have no employees.
Getting worse. Even with the makeover the aisles are tight. They never stock enough of sale items. Have to go 10 miles out of the way to other store because they have it. They ladies buy the registers are the best. Very helpful when your self check out is acting weird like usual. Still go only out of convenience. Got expensive cut my bill at this store almost in half. One of the managers is so loud and curses constantly.
Not one-time goes by that they are not out of product.They recently upped the price per pound of their so called value pack of boneless chicken breasts from 2.99 to 3.49 overnight and when I asked the manager how they could raise the price by 50 cents, he didnt know. How can a so called manager not know? I called stop n shop corporate offices twice and they said both times they would get me an answer and they never did.
Stop and Shop was wonderful!! Alexa at courtesy is the best. I bought the wrong item (light) and needed to e change for regular and she was so pleasant and helpful. Shirley Stop and Shop is very well run with great staff. The guys at the food court (buffet) were great too!!
For a store twice as big as King Kullen I was shocked at some things they did not have. They carried the brands, just not the varieties. Also found local mill brand Tuscon for 5.09 a gallon, $3.59 most other stores, bacon Smithfield 9.69, $2 more than Handy Pantry and KK. Ill stick with King Kullen.
Theyve improved. I used to complain that carts were impossible to find when its busy as I have mobility issues. They actually listened and now they have cart parks in the lot and staff frequently sweep the lot for them. Good selections and sales and staff is nice. Problem is when store is crowded not enough cashiers open. I refuse to use self service because it kills jobs.
I went there this morning to pick up an item and I was appalled by the customer service at the self checkout lines. An employee was standing there not helping anyone at all. A lady was calling out to her repeatedly and her response was, Im not on the clock! She begrudgingly helped her. Inevitably I encountered an issue as well and needed help. I called out to her and she ignored me saying she was not on the clock. Even though she was standing right there in her uniform. Thankfully, a young employee with blonde hair helped me with my issue and she wasnt on the clock either. She was very polite and attentive. I wish I remembered her name... She needs a raise.
While they have a good selection of just about everything, I have had multiple problems with dairy products from this store. At least four separate times I have bought milk or half & half from them and it has gone bad well before the marked date. In one instance, the milk was sour two days after bringing it home even though it was dated 3 weeks out. I havent had this issue with other area stores Ive shopped at so its not the way Im storing the milk... its obviously them.
Excellent selection of products and a well trained staff to answer your questions. Theyve added a food court to their sushi section where you can get timely meals throughout the day on the run, and you will be a happy - and full - camper! The parking lot is huge, and you have a choice of the small basket for a quick stop, and a large or smallish shopping cart. Theres extended carriers on some for the kids to keep the cart open for products, and several motorized riding carts. Cheers!
It is definitely one of the better super markets left in the area. It is more expensive then say Best Market but you do get higher quality items from the deli and produce. The service there is also better then in Best market. Look the bottom line is that super markets are from an era where life was more simple, conservative, and shopping was an experience ( miss those times). Today most families go to their local BJs or Sams club for bulk items. Stop and shop king kullens, for large families, are for that rare time a member wants to get a quick item. These stores best serve the singles or empty nesters who dont have to do bulk shopping for a family.
Shelves no matter when you go there are half empty. Frozen section even worse. As far as checking out with your wagon there is very limited room for you to put your carriage on the end. Some Einstein decided to put Seasonal merchandise along the whole length of the store! In the weekend its Custers Last Stand! Walbaums was set up much better!! They even shrunk the isles! So youre filling your cart and happen to look over your shoulder and see something in that ridiculous makeshift Seasonal isle & say, Oh Well. They lose. Would rather pay alittle more at King Kullen on William Floyd.
Produce, Seafood, Cheese selection are all 5 stars. Today I assume corporate was here, every employee at every department was being spoken down to, which leads the public to follow this disgusting behavior. This is obviously a chain effect from the top to the bottom, but my advice to Stop&Shop is stand by your product, talk to people that are racking up the money for you like humans and if they cant learn than fire them. Theres no excuse for the belittling behavior. By the time I got to the register I had enough of it and made the manager take my basket instead of the nice young man simply greeting me at the register. Look at my reviews and see how frequently which is never that I write negative reviews.
Good sales on most items. Not too happy with the selection in the meat department. Buying ground beef is expensive for some reason. The check out is usually long too. Fish is ok for basics. Produce, frozen/dairy and grocery are better than the other shops in the area.
Very clean store and mostly well stocked. The pharmacy is really good. The staff is very professional, friendly and respectful. I love the pharmacy for that fact and also because they always have the medications I need. Even when they dont have it, they special-order it for me. Excellent place to shop and to get your prescriptions filled.
I always shop here now, between the sales and getting the gas points it really pays to shop here.It can be crowded at times but the lines seem to go quickly. The quality of the produce and meats is always good. I wish they would stock up sales items more quickly- if you shop after Saturday alot of the sales items are gone and might be back by Wednesday.
Terrible at the deli department never enough workers it takes very long ! you can stay in there for at least almost an hour sometimes everybody complains nobody says anything!Totally ridiculous..I can tell you I will never go back to cold cut counter.. and I visit there every single day.. The Deli doesnt give the brand of cheese you ask for, it seems they give you what is already unwrapped. Ive ordered land o lakes cheese and all three times it wasnt right. I was given what seems to be presliced cheese, like Kraft single slices. Also I was given some brand that was cheaper, tasted like black bear. So, I would suggest asking for a slice before you buy it. The rest of the store is good but, as always a few more cashiers wouldnt hurt...
The supervisors are always in such bad mood, first I thought.. they may had a bad day.. but every time.. absolutely no acceptable, not the cashiers tho .. the person on charge they are no help at all, always a negative answer. Absolutely no friendly people. Dont you dare try to go at night, they are the worst. There is this little old man with glasses, who is on charge.. absolutely nasty. He wont even listen to you at all.. No looking forward to ever go there again.the produce is always bad and the cold cuts pre-cut they are green.. the place where they had the pre-cuts ham and cheese is dirty..

Prices were high but there were many sales. The pharmacy leaves a lot to be desired. The. Pharmacist there was rude and callous when dealing with my prescriptions. He made comments about a discount drug for those without insurance or poor coverage as a waste of his time and profit. Unless he owned the drugstore of this chain of stores why would he even have to respond the way he did? It was humiliating. I even asked if their was something I could to facilitate it. He, abruptly, said no.. Never again!!!
Im a native new Yorker.. Having lived Upstate until recently, this store could benefit from an overhaul. Its not a very inviting place and the shopping experience was nothing to write home about. Charging customers for bags is ridiculous, though New York is ridiculous to act on this, period. That said, there arent enough super markets in the area to compare to.
I want to say that the deli department is the best. Lenny recently made me some deli trays, one especially awesome vegetarian that made a huge hit at my grandsons first birthday party, he went out of his way to have it ready early on a Saturday morning and it was so delicious and special with avocados and mushrooms, not just cheese....cant speak to the professionalism and care that went into this at the Shirley location. A big thank you to Lenny and his team.
I was not happy with the store. The bathroom handle was broken and customers could not close the door..My wrapped chese from the deli was not fresh..It was Yarlsberg cheese. The date was fine but it seemed a bit old. The fish that I got was not so good..The cod had ingredients added to it. I was not happy with the taste. I will go back one more time and try the cheese again..If its not fresh again it will be the last time
By passed Best Market to fome here because i thought that they would have a nive try of suger free cookies, turns out should have gone to my fo to Best Market, silly me. Webt ro baker, everything looks so nice just wish they had workers who knew what to so. Ask for sugar free cookies and was told the girl was new and didnt jnow if they had any or where they wpuld b if they did. I looked around but coouldnt find them. Ask if she coukd ask noif toldshe xould ask anyone else and she said no. Went to service desk they called the manager but they didnt reapond so i left which didnt bothwr anyone. Need to put accurate expiration dates on products on shelves. The front product in meat or produce on the shelf usually expires the next day where the back of the shelf expires in a week. Stop and shop needs to either discount the stuff or not sell expired or next day expiring products.
Went to the store for fried chicken because that’s what the kids wanted for dinner it was around 5:30 and none was out so I asked if they had any coming out and the answer was no it will be about an hour It’s around dinner time they had no hot rotisserie chicken out either so I left and went to Boston market
The millenials at the checkout are sometimes mind-numbingly out in space, seemingly in a fog regarding matters of calculation and the ability to reason. We are entering an age of darkness in this country, Stop & Shop representing a small microcosm of episodic errands to overpriced businesses where each and every transaction ends with the gratuitous HAVE A GOOD ONE. I am awash in sadness as I choke on my NON-GMO alfalfa sprouts ... 🤣🤣🤣🤠
This place has turned to CRAP!!!!!!! It used to be my go to spot.. they had everything I needed and for the right price.. then they decided to reconfigure the store to make it look nicer a while back and it went down hill from there.. they slowly stopped selling certain products and then bring it back.. only to take it away again.. they hired a bunch of teenagers with no manners or brains.. while you are waiting to check out the cashiers are yelling over you to each other about personal things and would use foul language.. so inappropriate! The adults working there are no better.. one guy in produce stares at every woman that comes in as if he were undressing them and as they walk bye he says hello with the same creepy stare... Who hired these people and said you are the perfect person for my store??!! As soon as I see him working I avoid getting anything on my shopping list by him! And ever since Pathmark closed the store has made a turn for the worst.. all the seedy people who shopped there are now going to stop and shop.. or should I say stop and rob cuz thats what goes on more times than it should.. the store no longer keeps up to date with produce or meats..the only day you are lucky to find anything fresh is Saturday morning at the crack of dawn.. before the vultures get there by noon. Tonight I walked in and theres creepy produce guy staring every lady down.. I try to sneak and grab some zucchini fast that I really needed and they were tiny and mushy.. Really? I needed mint.. one prepackaged box left.. none fresh.. and the box was already turning black.. Seriously?? I felt my blood starting to boil..so I left ny cart and walked right out of there so pissed off... now I am sitting in my car writing this.. venting.. and going into Best Market!!Corporate if you are reading this... you need to take a little road trip and see how they represent your brand!! Disgraceful !
Very rude staff . I try to do WesternUnion they close early timing for it 10 , when ever I come here they have different Excuse they never let me do it . More over manager is so rude . They all who ever work in customer service they all rude and loud. Never come back this place
My wife stopped here on her way home from work. It is nowhere near our house, so returning the items that she came home with would be a chore. The deli department gave her what appear to be Kraft Singles instead of white american, and the half pound of turkey that she ordered is 1/4 pound of one brand of turkey and 1/4 of another.

2022-04-14Too big and confusing for me. Seemed messy. Didnt see any good sales. In addition..I waited at courtesy desk for 16 minutes to check how much was left on my gift card. I had to walk away. People in front purchased $75 worth of lottery tickets and I had to wait and wait and wait. Finally, I just had to step off line...tried to shop at that point

2021-09-29Pretty cheap for the Mastic/Shirley area, but still on the pricier side. When I visited home last summer, this store was always well stocked with tons of produce (a respectable selection with diverse choices). It can get busy lines can be slow, but all in all not a bad spot to stop. Id look at the more recent reviews though, looks like stuff isnt all roses and daisies. With regard to the grocery pickup option, I never had an issue and the clerks were super awesome. One time I had a 8:00pm pickup slot, and I had to wait over an hour to receive my groceries, poor kid looked frazzled beyond belief, looks like they need to work on their employee scheduling.

2021-10-28I live right down the road so I come here about twice a week. Staff is always pretty nice. Never had an issue until last night when I left my card home so I had someone send me a pic of it. The cashier allowed me to type it in but it wasn’t working. Some young kid that said he was a manager said I’m not aloud to manually type in the number. I told him I could show My ID with the card. He still refused me in such a judgmental way it made me feel like I was garbage, like he looked at me in such a degrading way. I spent 2hrs in the store, got about $300 worth of food in the basket just to be rejected for using MY card. Great customer service kid 👍

2021-12-01Doesnt have a lot to choose from these days and your limited to a certain amount to buy due to supply shortage. Id rather shop from home so I dont have to walk around in a store trying to find things they dont have & safety protocols. Everyone can SAY they are following safety guidelines etc. Yet in plain view you can see that it is to an extinct.
