Half the shelves were empty.. not the 1st time.. lately this store is lacking big time
Very badly treated by employee Kareem at self service check out. I dont know what I did wrong but after I entered my card to pay I didnt get my receipt. Kareem treated me as I I was trying to scam the store. She took my credit card to her supervisor and I ended up with 3 payments for the bill of $89. 37 even though I showed her my card statement listing my payment. I am a 83 year old widow and I have spent hours trying to correct my credit card bill. I am not a shop lifter or a scammer. I have been a customer of stop and shop for over 20 years. I was disrespected and treated like a liar.
Self checkout machines are better, reps there are actually helping now
Today Wednesday the 22nd I went to purchase my groceries and was stopped by two woman employees at the door asking me did I pay for my groceries I showed my receipt and was told you can leave , no apology very unprofessional it was done in front of other customers and I was very embarrassed. They were very hostile. I will no longer shop at this establishment . I spoke to the manager who was very polite , thank you Gus . Smh terrible experience .shopping should be pleasant and relaxing.

Stop & Shop is super expensive and the food in the produce section is not fresh. Three regular bags of groceries for $128 dollars. 😫
This market is always neat, clean and you can find unusual things that you may not be able to find, or even know about, in other markets. The quality is always great and the set up of the store is airy and inviting. Been shopping here with my family for many years. Like it a lot!

How is it that this store has tons of customers and 3 cashiers on during an evening rush? If the Instacart shoppers knew what they were doing, then Id use them. The Stop n Shop in Graniteville is staffed way better.
Stop and shop is very organized store for food purchases and produce and meats. This store is always clean and have fresh ingredients but the problem is they have a problem when checking out especially when it is so crowded. No enough registry most of the time. This place has a lot of parkings in a great plaza

Best supermarket on the island! Very clean, everything is always fresh. The bakery is great especially for custom cakes, I have ordered from them a few times and they were always fresh and exactly what I asked for.
Open 24 hours but some areas out of stock. Went 10pm.
This supermarket is hit or miss. Sometimes the shelves are near fully stocked, other times, not so much. Items that are popular (or are on sale) dont seem to be in abundant supply and are therefore gone when you go to make a purchase. The latest wrinkle in the shopping experience is the lack of cashiers, causing lines to form up the aisles, people cutting into lines and general confusion when trying to LEAVE the store. Some employees have said its because hours have been cut - thats nice but to what effect - having people wait 20 minutes to check out? Really? Some rethinking needs to be done regarding the stores general overall posture regarding inventory and customer service.

I had yet another similar incident with the red hair cashier joanna, I found this very rude when not wearing a mask above the nose, Feeling highly unsafe that this store does not follow proper guidelines for it’s valued customers! Also while ringing up my items was constantly on the phone, very unprofessional. As I shop frequently in this store
I love the Richmond Ave store but the self checkout was changed and has become a total inconvenience. It takes an extra 15 minutes to scan and then pack groceries. Because of that I will only give it 3 stars.P.S. where are the Bounty Napkinsand lysol spray????????
One of the best Stop&Shop supermarkets. They always have products in stock, fresh bread and all other bakeries. The morning shift staff seems nice and helpful,while the night shift staff members seems a little weird and way too tired. Love new self checkout, makes the whole process go faster & easier if you know how to scan products yourself 😎.
Generally well stocked supermarket, carrying most major brands and a complete line of their store band. Large (10 stations) self checkout area in addition to several regular checkout lines. Shares very large parking lot with several other stores. Pricing competitive with other supermarkets on Staten Island.
Normally I have a great experience here but today one of the cashiers was being rude. When I first got up there and started loading I asked her if I can input my phone number for my rewards. I had to ask a few times while she kept ringing me up. Seems she was ignoring me completely. Next thing while I had a lot of groceries, she kept bagging them and piling them on top of each other in the corner, crushing the items. Next when I have her some coupons to include the circular, she told me I had to cut them out. Not an issue since I usually do but the last few times they just scanned the coupons and took the circular. Also one of my coupons did not want to scan and she asked me if I was sure I had the item. I told her yes. Didn’t take the coupon. I would say if she was in a bad mood, I could understand but she didn’t seem to be in a bad mood as I left and she was laughing with her co worker. Just found it off putting and rude on her part.
I bought a large package of chop meat, brought it home to discover it was bad. (This is the second supermarket in Staten Island this month with this problem. Does quality control go down because of Covid?) I dont believe for one moment that the person packaging the meat couldnt smell it. Theres no way it shouldve been put for sale. Disgusting. I wont be back.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, they maintained order by having one way aisles (but some customers disrespected it), everyone I saw was protecting themselves and trying to keep their distance from each other. I enjoy coming here to shop. The staff is friendly and attentive!!

The reason why I’m rating this one star is because when you enter stop&shop the carpets they keep the shopping carts are absolutely disgusting! it’s foul, it has an intense smell. The shopping carts are also so incredibly old rusty and hard to push.if I’m spending my money shouldn’t the shopping carts at least be up to date?! When was the last time they upgraded the shopping carts it’s terrible
Deli counter very pleasant and helpful. Staff was stocking shelves mid afternoon, which made it a bit difficult to maneuver through isles. Overall good experience.
Ive been coming to this location for almost 30 years before it was even Stop & Shop and it used to be Shoprite. Its so much nicer than the other 3 locations on Staten Island, almost no comparison. Their fruit is always fresh, much better than other supermarkets. The only thing I would love them to bring back is they had a Boston Market and a Starbucks inside when they first opened and they took it out. It probably wasnt cost effective, but I loved the convenience of it and miss having it.
If you think about it, a supermarket is a magical place, and there are supermarkets all over the place! We live in wonderful times, throughout mankinds history most of a humans time was devoted to finding food but now there is never a shortage of food, always open, take credit cards... Simply amazing. I would give 5 stars if the bathrooms were cleaner.
About the only thing guaranteed here is good rain checks.Horrible stop and shop Items are never priced right either on shelves or in registers.They never have ample stock on a lot of things which for a store of their size is pretty horrifyingThe self checkout attendants almost always have entitled attitudes.One time I was helping my 71 year old mother with the groceries. And I had to grab bags from the next register This middle aged attendant rushes over and tells me I should have said something. I said thank you and was going to make some silly remark in humor. But when I looked up this woman was seriously looking at me as if I had to do her job for her. The store wasnt crowded at all. She had two eyes and could have come over with bags to refill the regier long before I was forced to take them from the next register. IThis was the fifth bag I was starting.Scary thing is this is actually in character with how service is at this store.Aside from the people at customer service who handle rain checks and disabled ♿ customers. Who have an awesome track record.The rest of this store leaves a lot to be desired.
I would like to share with you my great experience I received today from Carl in the produce department. I needed to purchase Escarole and the shelf was empty. I asked Carl if the Escarole was sold out and he told me he would check in back of store. He came out with two beauitful heads . He surely made me feel like a valued customer. This was the first time anyone checked their stock. I usually was told we are all out. Thank you Carl.
I like the cleanliness. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I Love that Im able to find Plant-based Food along with everything else I shop for at this location. VERY HAPPY 😊
Been going here for all my big shopping trips these past couple of months. Well stocked shelves and very friendly employees as well. Vast selection of products to choose from. They also have a separate section that offers flower bouquets, orchids, mini flower plants and across from that, they offer another section where you can purchase cards for any occasion , household items, toiletries, and personal necessities. The pet isle has a lot to offer when it comes to food selection, pet toys, etc. I would recommend checking this supermarket out for those that havnt.
They need to keep up with the vegetable area and the meat area.
I shop here every week, customer service is horrible, workers always gossiping about the other workers 😂😂 and cashiers are always talking instead of helping customers, I think Trumpsters run this market 🤷🤷

The store is clean and shelves are pretty much stocked overall. Waiting at the deli is a total nightmare. Waiting at the checkout is equally horrible. Cashiers pack your bags haphazardly. Something is always open or damaged when I get home. Wish there was another place to shop close to home.

The deli section works very efficiently. We were called by our tickets and served by friendly staff. The lines can get crazy, but I feel the cashiers work as fast as they can.
VERY CHIC, NICE CASHIERS. WELL LIT AND STOCKED. THE PRICES ARE FAIR... THE MEAT IS FRESH AS WELL AS THE FRUIT & VEGETABLES. VERY CHIC.
Place went down since it opened nearly 13 years ago. When it was new they had such fresh produce, everything was clean, well organized and ahead of its time with the natural products and non-foods products. Now I go in there and its the total opposite. Shelves are a mess in every department (except grocery). Store looks generally unkempt and low quality. Produce is not too fresh either. A lot of it looks like its borderline old. Barely any usable carts or baskets either. The prices are also very high but this was always the case with Stop and Shop. Unfortunately, now that Pathmark went belly up this is the only game in town within the local neighborhood. The store could use an overhaul.

This Stop and Shop lags behind the other stores. The shelves arent well stocked on Sundays, the deli counter is extremely slow, and the produce could be fresher. The design is dated and feels cramped. However, prices are better than Shop Rite in Charleston and there is a good variety of specialty foods, when in stock. (Ehrmann grand desert, Im thinking of you). I found the cashiers to always be friendly and helpful. Sadly, the check-it self serve scanners are no longer available at this location.
Why open up on Sundays if you are not going to stock your shelves with product. Most sales items are nowhere to be found, the produce area is only offering the rotten fruit that nobody wants, bread aisle is barren, and the ice cream freezers are empty. Better to close for the day than opening up with limited or poor quality products.....very disappointed...may have to go to Key Food despite their higher prices....guess you get what you pay for!!!
Bottle machines are often out of service. Bottle return room is filthy and closes early (before the 9 PM posted closing time). Courtesy counter? Most of the employees behind this counter are not helpful. Positives? It is a big store with a good selection. Most workers are doing a good job
I look forward to the recipes in Savory magazine. The problem is S&S does not have all the ingredients which is very frustrating. If you ask a floor person no one has any idea.The meat department is not very helpful. Again, depending on the recipe a certain cut of meat is needed and not available and no one is available in the meat department to help.
This is my neighborhood store. I have been very disappointed lately in that many of the shelves are empty . Id like to know whats going on with that !?!
The self check out machine was malfunctioning - it said I didn’t place items in the bag that were scanned but I did. The lady who was supposed to provide assistance acted as if it was all my fault, gave me a blank stare and walked away. She provided no feedback as to how I could avoid the problem in the future nor did she apologize for the inconvenience when I complained.April 1st at 10:00am.
The shelves were stocked well. I stopped in for some produce and deli meat. Deli foods were fresh and staff was nice. Lines were long,but moved quite steadily.
Do not go in expecting to get your first choice of what you need unless you go during the week. Twice I have went and had to change my entire Sunday dinner because of lack of choices for my dietary needs.
45 minutes at the deli counter. There are only 2 people working. And that was not for just today. The poor guys behind the counter did not stop working. Customers were NOT HAPPY. Give your staff more help!

I enjoy shopping at Stop and Shop. There is plenty of parking . Most of the time the shelves are stocked and the workers are friendly. The only problem I would like to see corrected are the shopping carts. Most have defective wheels.
Great cashier he recognized I could not bag because of a bad back and he jumped right in to help.As always great selection and great sales.
Very large and spacious store has plenty of items that other stop & shops do not have and they also have one of the best fish and produce.

Unfortunately this is the only store in the neighborhood. Most of the time the store is dirty, the isles are narrow and usually obstructed with workers restocking the shelves. Would be nice if the carts went where you pushed them.
This store is one of the better supermarkets near the area of Staten Island in which I live! Big store, wide aisles, good variety available of items, personnel are nice, I like shopping for my food here!

Solid supermarket. Fruits and veggies on the pricey side when not on sale. Good sized aisles. Need to time visit right. Waits can sometimes be long.
Nice store going for years however they have to get the meat dept together we go about 8:30 on sat or sun and unlike the other stop and shopsl the meat is never fully out just some so you have to ask the butcher or come back which is inconvenient

Not a bad store I only go here if Im in the area...I prefer the stop and shop on Richmond Ave...richmond Ave is much more convenient for me and in my opinion much cleaner and always stocked

Got a salad, they offered me a spoon because they had no forks. I bought the salad anyway, and about 20 minutes after I have been sick to my stomach. Up all night sick as a dog!
Its very convenient..it has express check out booths and a express check out line were you can play lotto..and the prices are affordable...yes i would go back and would also recommend..
Cashiers are nasty. I tried to bag my order but there were no bag available. The cashier told me to wait until the end of my order because she had to count the amount of bags I needed. Flabbergasted , I waited and just vowed to not return.
I really would like to thank the bakery department at the amboy road store you really made my Christmas day my brother bought a a cake from the bakery it was chocolate truffle dome cake and I have to tell u it was to die for thankful u have such a great baker there thank u again
Now this Stop & Shop supermarket off of Richmond Avenue, in the New Springsville, section of Staten Island, to me is a much larger one then the one on Forest Avenue, I dont want to say that this makes it a better supermarket, but it sure seems like it..
Sometimes you can get a good deal here, however the store seems very dirty and unorganized. Most of the shopping carts have broken wheels.

Not a horrible supermarket if you pay attention to the expiration dates on the items. They dont rotate the dates and ive accidentally bought expired items before.
Excellent selection, great prices, fantastic meat department. Very fresh produce, accepts all coupons. I love this store.
What a stink by the meat department . And the freezers are always defrosting onto the floor of the store. And the large delivery trucks behind the store are always in a hurry and dont care about safety

I like this Stop & Shop way better than the one on Amboy. The aisles are wide, the store is HUGE, and the selection is quite vast in my opinion.
I sometimes have to come here when my Stop and Shop does not carry the meat I enjoy. Either way these stores are not up to par with the Giants in Pennsylvania.

They have organic food & produce here. But they do NOT have Boars Head Domestic Swiss Cheese. I can buy Quorn products here.
Better than most stop&shop. Clean, not crowded, good selection of products overall, like the quality of most products, good artesian bread selection, good angus filet mignon.
I normally dont go or care for this Stop & Shop but I was in a hurry. It feels uncleaned and disorganized. I prefer sticking to the one on Hylan blvd.

There was no one at the fish counter. It took 15 minutes to get help. I was annoyed at the lack of service and felt my time was not important to this store. I will go back to ShopRite after this experience.

Customer service is being rude and disrespectful, I tried to return a bottle today and the woman said its not from there and then laugh behind my back....she act like I intentionally tries to do that and acts all smug about it....you are just a low level worker, stop acting all superior before I call my lawyerThe water bottle return machine also NEVER works because no one does anything there

2022-04-20Beautiful flowers. Bouquets are always reasonably priced and impress.I prefer their fresh produce dept. (VS OTHERS IN AREA). Bigger selection and variety. Fun seasonal finds. Most importantly the produce always seems to be fresh and not over ripe or worse.Their bakery dept makes donuts better than Dunkin..they are fluffier /lighter. Their muffins are also fresh, have more variety and a better price as well.Location is surrounds by many other convient stores..Best Buy..a dollar value type store..pizzeria and Bed Bath and Beyond. Target is right behind it and the mall across the street. Super convenient to speed up errands.

2022-03-10Last week I’ve been to a stop and shop and shop rite and I wasn’t impressed. This morning I was at primark so I decided to try out this store. Store looks out dated but the produce looked great. Nice and full.Deli workers was very nice. The seafood section looked a bit dark but the manager back there was very good, I was looking for smelts and clams and he knew right of the bat I was a fisherman. The meat section looked ok. Every isle looked nice and full. And the wait time to buy my items was very fast! Good store!

2022-05-27Love this place, but, they need to check the meat before placing them on the shelves. This is my third time returning smelly meat. Today was, disgusting lamb chops. I bought a second package dated for June 2nd, and smelled too. I have to now drive back to return it. Please punch a hole on the package when you buy meats! Not nice.

2022-06-11Yesterday the store is stocked only about 63% I cant find what Im looking for and I have to go other stores. What is the reason for this we are not in a full pandemic lock down anymore. I feel like Im living in a third world country this is terrible whats going on in the United States of America I also seen a worker spraying a chemical on the shelves by the cookie aisle I dont know if he is mentally challenged because when I asked him about it he started to stutter and I couldnt understand him why would he be spraying chemical right by the cookies. Whos idea was that the store manager. You dont spray a chemical by food only when the shelves are empty. It has become a guessing game when the delivery for certain items will be in stock. And people shopping or the workers leave empty or half full cans or plastic bottles or Starbucks cups on the shelves disgusting. And I use to see Danielle spying on the shoppers .

2022-06-03Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. The produce section was filthy. The mangos were so old they broke open when I tried to pick them up. There is Never anyone behind the fish counter ever and when I asked for help the guy behind the deli said someone will be there soon. 15 minutes later I gave up and walked away. This has happened each and everytime I have gone to this grocery store. I have never been able to purchase fish there. Who treats a customer like that? With total disregard. The last straw for me was that they had chicken on sale for 1/2 price. I got home and went to cook dinner. The chicken was rancid. The small was so bad when I opened the package I almost vomited. Know wonder it was on sale. I wont ever go back to that store again.

2022-06-17This Stop & Shop is a very Large Store . This Store Has a much better Seafood Section Than the Stop & Shop on Forest Avenue. Their Shelves are Well stocked .👍Thumbs Up To Stop & Shop

2022-06-24I like shopping here but the old lady employee at express checkout (day shift) isn’t the friendliest. She hates it when customers ask for help, particularly when asked to void items they don’t want. She always makes the irritated face and complain. Isn’t it her job to help customers for any reason?

2022-01-21Very nice deli guy , he was very sweet and patient. Had a karen in front of me but he spoke to her w/ such respect & made sure hers & my order was perfect. Didnt get his name but he was a very nice guy

2022-03-21Bought a pack of chicken thighs 2 tomatoes chips 2 things of breyers ice cream and a pack of pencils. Was rang up I believe under 50 dollars. Checked my bank statement 2 days later they charged 117.46 cents. criminals work there
