Ive had my storage there for a few months now. In Nov we went to get our Christmas decorations.... We get there and the lock was a different lock. Went to front desk to confirm I was at correct unit which I was. I had spoken to the Manager on duty E. Filled out form to open lock. My unit was broken into..... how is this possible w cameras? Have NOOO idea. They dont have answers. No one has answers. I am still waiting for a phone call from storage post even apologizing for the inconvenience..... absolutely absurd!!!
Mortimer was the gentlemen that helped us today! We booked mainly based on our experience with him. He was professional and personable and knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.The establishment is clean and well lit and accessible. But the customer service is where they won me and my wife over. Highly recommended.
Everything was seamless. I know Eric from a previous storage space. He as always was personable , knowledgeable and made everything easy. Every other representative was equally as pleasant and helpful. I will definitely recommend you to all my friends and family. Thank you.
Mortimer made my not only terrible move but truly terrible day....not so terrible simply by being a lovely human!! Not only is he a lovely kind soul, he was extremely professional & extremely knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure i got a unit not just on the same floor as my mothers unit but only 3 units away from hers, then went back & forth from office to unit with me multiple times...for my self created issues...which he solved all of.Mortimer deserves a raise or promotion at the very least some acknowledge from upper management for his outstanding professionalism, customer service & all around exceptionally pleasant demeanor. He didnt just do ...his job. He made a very cranky upset customers bad day a little brighter! I have been a customer for years, the majority of employees there are great but like i said Mortimer is exceptional !!!
First time utilizing a storage unit, George, made the procees as simple as possible. His knowledge was greatly appreciated. All questions were answered in a professional and caring manner.I took advantage of the 2 month free offer. Place was clean, liighting more than sufficient and left having a feeling my stored items would be safe.
I forgot how to open the garage doors to the loading dock. It took me a long time to find the open buttons- They should be closer to the doors for entry for convenience.I really struggled w the cylinder lock, getting it back in & lined up to close - I had to do it twice & both times I was so grateful other people were with me... I REALLY would appreciate a regular heavy duty key lock!!
Storage Post in Floral Park is by far the best storage facility I have used. I have a business that requires use of storage space and I have patronised about 4 different companies over the last 6 years and Storage Post has been the best so far with great customer service, large loading docks, and long open hours. I have been a tenant for about a year now.The place is clean, well lit, feels secure, the staff members are courteous & respectful and best of all they can recieve packages on my behalf.
The website and the call center gave me some misinformation about the availability of time that I did not realize would cause me serious inconvenience until I actually got to the space (which is under construction). However, I was super impressed with the effort and overtime that the company (the staff in office, the manager out of office, the district manager and others on the phone) affixed to resolve the issue. They worked really hard to help me out and made the necessary adjustments to get me to be able to move in that day without a hitch. The manager, Ivan and his staff member Hassan, really made all the difference. I am giving them a four out of five, because the facility is still being constructed. If it werent for the experience of working mainly with these two, I would have given them a one out of five. Thats how much they improved my impression of the company.
I dont like how if you have a unit in 2 different locations when you call it will never ring the 2 nd location so if you want to call the office you cant. That is very stupid and frustrating. I tried to downsize the space I had but was given one price and when I said ok it was suddenly a higher price at the desk and told but I already transfered you. I said we have to agree on a price first. So I was able to cancel only because another worker was there and backed me up. Then an hour later when I tried to open the gate my pin failed to work. They hadnt told me my pin wouldnt work. Luckily the office was still open for another 20 minutes and I got a temporary code till they could update my ticket. The worker worked kind of slowly finding the units scrolling through the alphabet of units even though I would of had to rush to move things by closing. Not satisfied.
I recently transferred a smaller unit for a larger one. I was told I couldnt take advantage of the 2 month free offer on the new one because of the transfer.Later on I found out that i could have just canceled the 1st unit and gotten a new one instead of transferring. This was not explained to me.You live and learn. Im now looking to go somewhere else with my storage needs.
Had to wait for the one employee to come back and unlock the front door after 20 minutes waiting. Which is ridiculous. They should have at least 2 people manning the place. Also, there needs to be signs in there on the corners. You can very easily get lost. Had some trouble opening my unit too.
Did try to reserved online for a storage that’s located on the first level. Somebody offered over the phone a different storage unit on a different level but very close to the elevator. But when I got there the storage unit was on another level and too far from the elevator.. had no choice because I was already there.

2022-06-28It is a storage place. Management does the best they can under their corporate guidelines. Not really climate controlled (depends on where your storage unit is). Nice location.

2022-05-19Its a nice facility and clean. The staff is very helpful. Just make sure you know where you are going, when you are inside. There are loading docks but parking is minimal (on a Sunday).

2022-01-26When I called they rushed me into buying the space before seeing it telling me it was the only one and that it would fit everything. I get there and it is too small and had to get a bigger spot. When I got the bigger spot I lost the free month and had to give them more money. Also they lock the loading docks after the office closes so you have to lug your stuff up and down the stairs at the entrance. Its not a 24 hour facility, it closes at 930

2021-09-17Positive: Great price compared to other storage providers. I recently decided to use this facility and move contents of my storage unit. It is clean.It Needs improvements in the following areas:I had to use the docking area. If I had physical challenges, it would have been impossible to climb or carry boxes to the loading carts.This facility is best suited for trucks to move items.I checked the other entry points and there isnt flat ground level loading area. The other entries have stairs (imagine having to carry boxes!) or very steep incline!The first day I got lost trying to find my locker. Its a bit of a maze. The numbers arent sequential! I had to call the office (got call service), a gentleman came and helped me locate it. The elevators arent numbered. I ended up at another area the first day while trying to exit... Eventually I figured out there was another elevator taking you to the docking area exit!It helps having groups of #s as well as markings and a map by each elevator! Please have a number allocated to each elevator.The third trip, I had to call the office for a cart to load my boxes.For better client service:With all the security cameras, the office should be aware that there arent enough loading carts and make sure to have enough and not having to call the office (goes to call center)!Overall, I find it challenging using this facility. I hate having to climb the docking area to get to my storage unit.I hope they take into consideration the above improvements for better client experience.NOTE: I gave 5 stars, hoping they will take the above suggestions seriously.

2021-08-29They dont shovel when it snows,nor will they put down salt so you dont slip. The garage where Im supposed be able to pull my car in has been broken forever and it doesnt look like its ever going to get fixed! Ive spoken to the manager several times and sent pics,didnt care didnt offer me a discount for all the months the garage has been broken. And lets not forget it closes at 4 ,5 and 6pm ya because normally people are home from work at 6pm rykm!!!! Thats why its the cheapest around you need to take the day off of work to get your stuff in n out! Uggghhh

2021-10-04The only person that knows whats going on at this place is Erik. Everyone else is a clown, and Erik is busy doing other things leaving the rest of the employees to muddle around and do nothing but waste your time.The shortage of dollies make it impossible for everyone that needs one to have access to their storage units. There were customers that waited so long for a dolly that they never could unload - and then the place closed. There are no lights in the units, so you had better bring your own. All in all it was a horrible experience.
