Ive been to this place multiple times and can say with full confidence that this place has great food (The image is of their fillet tartar which was perfectly done and extremely fresh), and a good selection of beer but what puts this place over the top is the amazing staff. Servers are terrific. Bartenders are amazing. They are friendly without being over bearing and pay attention to all their guests. The atmosphere is great as well i love the high ceilings. It makes it feel veey open and even if there are alot of people you dont feel cramped. This is by far my favorite place to go after work and have a quick drink ... or even two.
Fine neighborhood bar pub spot. Some food choices were very good, others were ok. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Personally I wouldnt go out of my way to go again, but in the area and wanted a high ceiling, almost open air inside with big viewing screens for sports I consider it
One several occasions, both over the phone and in person, we had scheduled our groups cast party. Although the follow up responses from Mike (the owner) were delayed, to say the least, we were supposed to have an arrangement that would allow for 40+ people to gather with a drink special arranged around their POS system which closes happy hour after 7pm (our party started at 7pm).40-50 show up and I am getting calls and text message saying that the bar said that the reservation was canceled. I went to the bar to discuss the matter. I was told theres no manager and was dismissed by the bartender, a bearded white male, working the bar. Apparently, there was no one there in charge at all. I indicated that I spoke to Mike, did not matter.Having an error with the booking is one thing. Mistakes happen and we understand that places are understaffed. To not recognize the bar was full of people from one party and that this was because we had a booking in place and doing absolutely nothing to resolve it is inexcusable. They clearly were presented with evidence of a booking - crowd size, call records, name and description of the persons I spoke with. The bartender who said they didnt have a manager was dismissive. He refused to call a manager, Mike or anyone else. He acted like there was no way to resolve the issue. We (literally) filled their bar with folks looking to celebrate a special night after a long hiatus due to COVID. Instead, people left early, frustrated with the event. The only silver lining was after leaving there we found a bar, close by, that was happy to have us. The bartender there was efficient, attentive and even made eye contact when he spoke to us. It salvaged what should have been a joyful evening. We have never felt less welcome then we did that night. If you want good service where customers matter, I do not recommend this place at all.
A fabulous, large and lovely bar with great food, wonderful, friendly and very nice staff. No one is a stranger and fantastic music. Make sure you meet and say hello to Fiona she is fun and amazing even though she stands on her tip toes to work the computer. 😂❤ I highly recommend!
The worst experience ever!Waiting time was insane, we could not order food for 45 min. It wasn’t busy tho. So, When the food came cold, we asked to fix it and it came cold again. There rest of our group could not eat either - orders were missing some ingredients and sauces…So, never again.
Sweet little Irish tavern on 6th ave on the edge of Chelsea. Food was served fresh and hot. Had the chicken sandwich and my wife had the salad. The sandwich was good. Nothing spectacular but no complaints. I think they use a fresh de-boned chicken thigh. I liked the extra effort of not just using another foodservice frozen chicken breast. Wife said the salad was very good - had a fantastic dressing! And lunch came with a free draught beer. Cant beat that!
Worst experience Ive had in a while. Not only did it take 1 hour to get a crispy chicken sandwich, but it also arrived cold. Asked them to heat it, but it came back in the same condition. Took a bite to try it... they even forgot to put the house sauce...Not coming back...
We just happened to pass by and were looking for a spot to get a little bite to eat. Tried their hummus with Chris and it was just delicious. They were kind enough to send us some additional crisps on request. The drinks were great as well. And we forgot our credit card on the way out. They were kind enough to hold on to it and we were thankfully able to get it back from them. So helpful! Highly recommend this place!
Was quiet for a Saturday evening. Perhaps still early in the night. Good selection of beers and drinks, friendly staff, good service. Food is well prepared and tasty. Not much presentation and portions rather large. The stuffed chicken breast could have easily been made in to 3 meals. The prosciutto in the stuffing was a bit hard to find. Lots of big screens to view various sports and entertainment items. Overall very good place for a late Saturday night meal and drink.
Brian the manager is incredible. Extremely witty and quick on his feet when it comes to innovative ideas and new yet tasty cocktails. The chef also makes a hell of a lobster fettuccini to say the least. An overall great experience. Be prepared for great energy, outstanding vibes, and your new favorite pub/restaurant.
So the server was great. Decent food typical midtown prices. Be ware the bartender is clueless. Ordered a Brooklyn hazy IPA. I received a darker beer that tasted like a hefe. I asked our sever to see what was up and she came back and said the bartender agreed that the taste was wrong and he went to check the kegs. She came back and said the bartender said the beer was a different taste because of of European hops. Really? What a weak response from a person who was too afraid to deal with a customer. He knew the beer was wrong but sent the server back to the table rather than be professional and deal with the situation. I give the server credit. The bartender was a total coward and I would never return.
I stopped in the other day during Pride. Yes, I understand things were busy. I was given a drink menu at the host stand. I picked out a drink, waited at the bar to order, and then gave my order. I was then told they were using a limited menu and I needed to pick something else. This is something the hostess should have known, but fine (she even recommended the drink I initially ordered). I then ordered one of the available drinks, and started drinking it while the bartender took my card to run it. She came back and said there is a two-drink minimum. This AFTER I had started consuming my drink, mind you. I did not stop in for two drinks, simple as that. I told her I did not have cash and it was too late now, giving her the choice: take the drink back or simply run my card for the one drink. She said, you dont need to be rude to your bartender; they just now changed it to the two-drink minimum and told me about it. I said, So, you expect me to be responsible for a new rule that I didnt know about, and that even you didnt know about two mins ago? It was rather brazen to try to bully me into buying a second drink after-the-fact. Customer service here is clearly lacking.
Was disappointed in this new restaurant that is still searching for an identity. The food was fine and the service was nice but the quality of the food did not come close to justifying the price. Additionally, The drink menu did not have prices on it -- a move I find to be disrespectful to the consumer.Pros:- Football games were playing- Service was incredibly friendly and reliable- Good Music- Clean restaurantCons:- Food was generally overpriced for upscale pub food, even for Chelsea standards- Burger I ordered was quite average- The drink menu did not provide a single price point for beers, wines or liquors (this was absurd considering the brunch menu advertised $2 off all drinks -- $2 off whatever they feel like charging that day)
Great staff, great atmosphere, great food.Hungry and tired after a later Broadway show, we ended up going to J.J. Kinahans because it was the only place that was open at 10:30/11pm on Presidents Day. All we wanted was some food on our way to our hotel...what we got instead was a fantastic late night dinner, a chill atmosphere, and a top notch bartender and host. We enjoyed the place so much we ended up leaving well after 1am.As noted above, the food was delicious and plentiful. Happy Hour lasted till 11pm. And Ciaran was an outstanding host and bartender, recommending local eateries and readily sharing his knowledge of NYC.If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend popping into the place be it for a sit down meal or a quick drink!
JJ kinahan is the hottest bar and restaurant in the block with 2 floors, huge projector screens for the game night, very neat and tidy environment, delicious foods under the supervision of chef victor and very friendly and easy going bartenders and servers. You can visit the place with friends or you can make one. They also have everyday lunch specials and dinner specials that include food and drinks in very reasonable price. This my third time here grilled skirt steak with asparagus and mashed potatoes is just as good as it tasted since first time , steak pie at its best and forget about hibiscus cheesecake because no word i can put in to explain this dessert, you just gotta go and try.overall this spot is highly recommended. bang for the buck.
BEST BURGER in Manhattan. We came here by chance one evening and were completely blown away with how great it was. JJ Kinahan’s has a huge open space with 2 floors, mega TV screens and a lively atmosphere. It’s a great spot for after work HH or to watch a game. The menu is not your typical ‘bar food’ rather an assortment of well thought out quality options that offer something for everyone. Let’s talk about the JJ Burger, it’s absolutely phenomenal - we’re talking delicious beef, caramelized onions, perfectly melted cheese and we got the truffle fries are an added bonus. We also got the Rogue Sliders which were out of this world. The staff was warm, welcoming and truly cared about each person that walked through the door. Added bonus, if you’re a whiskey, Moscow mule and speciality cocktail enthusiast, your going to love JJ Kinahan’s! We plan to go back Thursday for the burger, yeah it’s that good.
Great friendly local Gastropub, very friendly staff , nice twist on the menu to fit the feel of the bar , we had a few great cocktails and finished w wine, super friendly service , and had all the games on , 2 massive projection screens as well as TVs ... a great addition to the neighborhood... we will be bk ,

2021-08-15Everything I want in a NY bar. Great music. Great people. Great ambiance. The prices are good and so are the fries. Stop by if you’re walking by and you won’t be sorry. It’s a neat spot that nobody bothers you at and that’s my favorite. I can just exist here without needing to have discussion and conversations, BUT if I want to that’s available as well 💜

2022-03-21Overpriced cafeteria food that took an 1 1/2 to arrive. (We got chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, and chicken pot pie.) At best, reheated Costco? If we’re just talking the bar, the bartender was a nice guy and the tap Guinness was decent. This place would good for just drinking and watching a bunch of different sports’ TVs. But the food took so long and was ultimately bad, so the poor bartender had to make excuses for the cook.Insanely overpriced too … scarf some McDonald’s or street food before drinking here if you’re hungry.

2022-06-18Me and my friends were going to sit down and He rudely came out and told us that we weren’t allowed to sit even tho we were about to order. I’m not sure what that was about but that was very rude and as we were getting up he was still saying things through the door to myself and my friends. Would not recommend if you’re black and minding your business.

2022-05-28We came to watch the Champions Final and there is no waiter in the bar. Zero. Only one person, only one bartender and there are more than 50 people. No idea what’s going on.

2022-02-18Food there is fresh and good. The chips that come with the sandwiches could use an upgrade. When I got them it was kind of the bottom of the bag Ruffles type chips. Some nice kettle chips would be a better option.

2019-05-10I had a very good lunch experience here. When it first opened, I was a bit skeptical based on the prices, but recently I noticed they introduced a happy hour and lunch specials. I tried the lunch special for the first time today and it was great. For $16 you get an excellent burger, perfectly cooked w. cheese, caramelized onions, and bacon, a side of high quality fries, better than bottled ketchup, and a solid, crisp pickle. You also get a beer or glass of wine, and not Bud Light either, it was BP Toasted Lager. All in all, a great lunch for a decent price. The service was perfect. The space is very nice, super high ceilings with classy finishes. There are huge TV screens if you want to watch sports. I will definitely come back for a game or for happy hour.
