Went there for our first and last time. Advised the hostess we wanted to have dinner and see the band We went to the bar for a drink while waiting for a table. My husband was standing and after approximately 20 minutes or so watched her seat people walking in at the table that had opened. When he asked her why she sat someone else she rudely laughed and asked if she wanted her to put 2 chairs in the middle of the room. Management should be aware of poor customer relations. Had to give 1 star. Fortunately there are a lot of other great places. To choose from
Friendly staff with great recommendations and locally sourced ingredients where possible. Reasonable prices and a beautiful view of the golf course and sunset.GRASS FED TWIN BURGERS FROM SUGAR HILL FARM with Swiss was a delicious option. Two small patties with of some of the best burger beef around.
Super friendly and customer friendly. They gave us free appetizers, drinks and were extremely welcoming. Not to mention the view was pretty amazing.
I am really perplexed at how this restaurant could get such a high rating. Maybe my experience was an outlier but it was really poor.Sure, the view is great. Can’t argue with that. I had plenty of time to admire it, waiting and waiting for my food to arrive.Let’s start from the top:- I was with a party of three and we were seated outdoors, as requested.- we were however given the wrong menus and given different menus after we had already selected our meals.- we then waited over an hour for one burger and two salads. The restaurant was far from full and I am pretty sure that tables seated after us were served before us.- when I asked after 45 min where our food was, I was answered that “this is a chef’s place, this is not like McDonald’s”. Wow. Not what I was implying. But again, 45 min for two Cobb salads and a burger seemed excessive.- needless to say our drinks were hot by then, our water depleted despite several assurances that it would be replenished.- after an hour our food finally came. One Cobb salad was fine, the other had mostly raw chicken in it. The burger was over cooked and the fries tasted like cardboard. We were so hungry that we made do. I pushed the raw chicken aside and ate the salad.- not one to complain usually, I had to say something. Thankfully, the restaurant manager comped the better part of our bill. He/she never made an appearance, however.
My son had his wedding reception at Storm King Tavern. The location, staff, food, and site were all excellent. We received many compliments and no complaints from those who attended.
Beautiful view, elegant atmosphere, and polite service. The food however lacked flavor. We went for a late lunch. We each got the prime rib sandwich and were disappointed.
The food was delicious! The waitress was so nice. The drinks was excellent. The place is very nice and clean. One of my new favorite places.
Ive dined here multiple times. High quality ingredients prepared by a chef that cares. Great place to go for lunch or dinner. Nice view of the golf course too!
This place is now terrible. Dont go. Bad food. Bad service . They started out so good and they are awful. Only open 3 days a week and you can taste it. Avoid it or you will be sorry. Started with a culinary chef but it taste like he is long gone.......... I visited on November 15, 2019. Sat up front.

Found this place after a hike nearby. Food was delicious and the servers were very prompt and attentive.Loved their Angus burger and the twin burgers were a big hit in my group!

2019-08-06We held our wedding reception at Storm King Tavern. Phil and Angie were phenomenal! They took care of all the small details and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of.Our guests loved the cozy feel of the venue. They loved how beautiful the patio was, being able to dance in one area, dine in another and also get some fresh air outdoors. The food was incredible (not typical wedding food - it was so good!), the deserts provided with the meal were delicious and the drinks were so refreshing!I can not say more about how great the staff were. They were very attentive to our guest, making sure everyone had food and drink. I was short handed and they were so kind to help me make sure the venue looked decorated and beautiful.

2020-10-06Exactly what you want as your 19th hole 🕳️😉. They do after golf food and drinks well. A good selection of sandwiches, burgers, salads prepared well. I had a traditional reuben sandwich - there couldve been more meat - good thing I got the sweet potato fries to fill me up. The curried chicken salad also seemed a bit lite on the meat. Both were good though. Service was friendly and pretty quick. We were on the outside deck and everyone out there seemed friendly.

2020-02-23This jewel. I dont normally visit a place twice but I cant wait to come back when its warm to sit outside, enjoy the view and eat good food. They have limited menu in the winter and only serve on Fri-Sat when the golf course is not open but still have really good options. The caprese salad and salmon were devine! I love Ali! She is an amazing server, super friendly and her husband is from Asheville. Score points with the NC gurl! Ill be back and the hubby can play golf since its a public course.

2020-07-29Not a bad spot for lunch! Headed here after hiking Storm King Mountain for a hearty lunch. After a challenging hike, I wanted something hearty and filling. I ordered their classic burger, cooked to medium. Their classic burger includes swiss cheese, mushrooms, bacon, lettuce and tomato. I did enjoy the burger but mine was a bit inconsistently cooked. It was more well done than medium at some parts. Overall, staff was friendly and the outdoor space is really nice. Would recommend coming here in the future!

2018-09-30My friends and I came here for dinner after hiking in upstate NY. The service was pretty quick, and the staff were accommodating to certain diet limitations. Its on a beautiful golf course and we had the honor of watching the sunset during our dinner. The burger was pretty simple, though it somehow turned out a bit smaller than the bun, which was a little disappointing. I enjoyed the beer braised short ribs and the lemon pepper honey wings were fantastic.

2017-08-01Wow! Other reviewers are absolutely correct. Amazing view. We had two burgers that were outstanding. Really good quality meat. Excellent sweet potato fries. Our server Bailey was wonderful.

2019-07-17I cannot fully express how perfect Storm King Tavern was for my shower. Everything about the Storm King Tavern was wonderful. I wanted a location where I could have my own separate room, but that wasn’t a huge hall. The room at Storm King Tavern is beautiful. It has incredible views, and is so open and has plenty of windows, and has a fireplace.My mom and I worked with Phil to plan the shower. He was amazing! He was incredibly professional and helpful throughout the whole process. He was willing to work with us on our menu to really customize it. He helped us add food and add a mimosa bar. He also let us into the room early to decorate. He is so relaxed and friendly!The food the day of the shower was absolutely delicious! It was served family style which we loved! Everyone raved about all of the food. The servers were so helpful throughout the whole shower and really made sure everything was taken care of. They were so sweet and friendly.I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Storm King Tavern for any event!!!! I could not be happier with my decision to have my shower there.
