I attended the old Peter Stuy on east 15th (Class ’69) and keenly remember Stefanacci (colorful history), strict Mrs Crystal (biology), Fliedner (principal), Donodeo (history), Mrs Tunis (math/probability), Marks (english), and many, many more dedicated, top-notch teachers. Many wonderful friendships formed there. Best education in New York City imo.
(Translated by Google) The large community where my son feels welcome. Lots of work, but good people and soft maturities. Its very hard to get in, but if you do, it has an amazing education! Plenty of clubs to join and groups to engage in. I love this place!(Original text)Great community where my son feels welcome. Lots of work, but kind people and soft due dates. 2010-11-17If your child is lucky enough to get in - send them. Its a great location and the education is top-notch. I got in, but didnt end up going. I stayed at Trinity - great education, but a huge price tag for my parents.

2013-10-12The people at Stuyvesant are some of the nicest people youll ever meet. Yes, they give a lot of homework. However, the homework is one thing that brings the students together. The teachers love what they do, and theyre really interesting. There are so many clubs!

2017-03-17Stuyvesant High School class of 79. The years I spent there were really amazing, and seem to get more so with each passing year. If you are a motivated student, there is no limit to what you can achieve here. A middle of the road student can get a great education - middle of the road for Stuyvesant is pretty much at the top of the class for most the schools. If you can get in, take advantage of it.

2017-11-29Im an alumna. I think of gaining acceptance into Stuy as one of my most significant achievements. The standards and academic competition are such as to bring out the best in us. The result of our time in Stuy is the finest preparation for college achievement and, for that matter, for highest caliber life achievement. You are inspired and personally challenged, life long, to complete whatever projects you start with impeccable greater-than-expected end results. Congrats to students and faculty.

2016-01-17Challenging, intense and completely worth it. Take it from someone who went there. Just try your best while youre there and dont stress. Youll be surrounded by a ton of smart people so make to most of it and contribute; there are plenty of things to do there. Trust me... get involved, stay for things after school, and take challenging classes (dont take the bare min, even though thats more than other schools). Do that and college will be a breeze.

2013-09-22Possibly the best high school in all of New York. The teachers are amazing, but thats not what makes it magical. This school has over 150 clubs, so there is something for everyone. Our robotics team makes it to championships almost every year. Our hallways are lined with trophies from the robotics, sciolimpiad, speach and debate, and other teams. Actually, we are running out of space for our trophies.

2013-09-22Stuyvesant High School has been an amazing and life-changing experience! The teachers there are friendly and try to help students in every way possible. In addition, there are over 100 clubs for students to join and actively participate in, ranging from Key Club, Rave, Robotics, and even Mah Jong! The culture at Stuyvesant is truly wonderful and anyone can fit right in once you attend this school.

2013-09-22Its a rather good school, but it isnt for everyone. The thing is that it is rather competitive, but for me its not too bad. The thing that takes the cake for me is the robotics team. Too much fun has been had on the team, its great.

2013-11-09Stuyvesant High School has been the best thing that has happened to me so far (other than the loss of sleep LOLOL). The teachers are great; they are friendly and helpful. afterschool tutoring and ARISTA tutoring is available for anyone that needs help. Best of all, you dont feel ashamed when asking for help because people will applaud you for your efforts! The science and math departments of Stuyvesant are undeniably strong, but so is every other department! There are so many electives offered that its really hard to choose what you want to do! (FILL UP THEM SCHEDULES!)Best of all are the hundreds of clubs, teams, and publications! If you dont find a club you like, which is very unlikely, you can make your own! Yay!Last but not least, the people at Stuy are amazing, and the positive energy here is contagious.
