I had a bag of nearly new maxie dresses. All nice brands. The owner ending up offering me $3.00 per dress. I had 2 identical dresses new and she threw the one back at me stating it was a solid color. Too plain she said. I looked at dresses on the racks. Plenty of Solid/Plain Dresses which were kint material and 2 of them were pilling. Are you kidding me? I was told she would take my size 8 1/2 sandals. I pull them out, brand new, and was told we arent taking sandals with heels.These were brand new wedges and if they knew the style now, wedges are popular! As I was leaving, another woman was coming out of the store, fuming. She was told they needed and would accept her sneakers. Guess what, this woman was turned away. I have heard that the owner wont give you a fair price. Many, many people have told me negative stories. I wish I had listened. 🙄
Went in a few weeks after they opened, looked at many different clothes. I spent 30 years in upper retail clothing. Some were worn {shoes had scuff marks ,soles were worn}. Saw a couple of items that I actually owned. Some items had small pills, or just general gentle wear. Went home and went thru my closet brought them items of equal or even better quality. Came back 2 hours later and was told they would not take anything after being made to stand in line.1 large bag of shoes 2 large bags of assorted clothing. Unfortunately I had a few of my recently deceased husbands shirts in there and they decided since it was mixed it was not good enough for them. This is not the first time I have encounter this. Their sister store Platos closet is just as bad. Maybe because they have more inventory than they can possibly sell they are super picky. If you dont have tags on it and purchased it longer than 2 months ago, dont bother. Give it to a womens shelter and take the tax write off. Youll feel better in addition to helping someone in need.
I like both the stores, Plato’s closet and style encore.. but I would not recommend bringing stuff in to sell to them. I brought in L.A.M.B boots that still had the price tag on the bottom for over $400 and they wanted to give me $25 for them. Then a pair or brand new hunter boots that were $165 and she wanted to give me $9 dollars!!!! And they had a pair in there listed for $100!!! Like what the heck. Not fair at all. Maybe I’ll buy from there if I see something I love but I definitely won’t be selling to them. Also all of their Louis Vuitton And name brand stuff is almost listed as the same price as it was new. When they’re used.
I love this store! The variety is amazing and so is the lady Addie that helped me. I will return again and again. The store and Addie get my 5 Stars!!
I have for many many years as a single parent at both stores differant locations found such great buys and stylish clothing.i truely love both stores!!!!iv also as well sold clothing to both stores differant locations most times i would be offered a excellant amount for what i was selling but at other times depending on location of stores i was offered an amount as if they wanted the clothing and shoes and or sneakers given to them when in fact we keep the kids /adults clothing and foot appreral all name brands in excellant excellant condition....so word of advice if one store seems to be not giving you what you believe you should be given for what your selling then kindly leave that dtore and go to another one just word of advice from a frequent shopper and seller to both stores differant locations...happy shopping at both of there stores and differant locations ..you truely can not go wrong spending your momey at both stores...in the meantime stop by any of there locations and find some excellant buys.....

Brought them ALL summer dresses. Ann Taylor, Club Monaco, Guess, and Dillards dresses. The girl said we couldnt take any of your dresses. because we are looking for summer dresses. I was confused as not one single dress was NOT a summer dress. The girl said they were out of style. They are not even a year old. She said that they couldnt take any of my clothes. The interesting part is they had lots of forever 21 items. Perhaps employees should be aware what Club Monaco and high end brands are before rejecting or accepting clothes. Do not waste your time. I called before I picked the clothes up and asked if they would be taking them - they said they couldnt tell me anything over the phone. I believe if they arent taking any clothes they could at least let you know that over the phone as a convenience. WASTE OF TIME.I have had great experiences at Saratoga Closet and will continue to go there. I will never go here again.
Super shop with lots of great previously loved and new items. Staff is friendly and helpful. Accessories and shoes as well as womens clothing. Once you stop in it will become a habit!!
Employees are very nice, and helpful. The store is overflowing with clothes but still organized and clean. I will definitely come back for all my clothes shopping, saves so much money and get like new clothes. Cant beat it.
This place is simply bizarre with the way they select which items to purchase. I took in brand new name-brand items that either had tags on them or have never been worn without tags. They refused to accept Kate spade, Michael Kors, Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, north face and Ralph Lauren, but took worn, unbranded boots and some worn unbranded belts. The process appears arbitrary and is rather perplexing. I would not recommend selling to them but rather posting items on online platforms such as mercari, Poshmark etc.; at least you will be able to receive some of your money back on those sites.
Well I tried to sell some items which I thougt Calvin Klein jacket blouses which I got jcp and boscov im goumg to bring a liz Claiborne jacket only a year old see what happens i.shop there and from what I saw things looked worse thsm mine oh well.still nice to shop there

The store is packed yet organized and I find gems every time I shop.
Love saving money on clothes for work
Watched a live and got a bag, they charged my account and the next day told me I didn’t get it, refunded my account and then gave it to another customer. Won’t waste my time shopping with a business that treats customers so poorly.

Suggest you just leave your stuff at Salvation Army ! Terrible service - They don’t take anything ! You have to go twice in one day ( drop off then pick up) Not worth the effort or time!
Been twice now to try and sell and they are never accepting anything. Don’t bother trying to sell there, chances are they are only accepting leopard print shorts in size 0 (or something else you likely aren’t trying to sell).

2022-04-04This store has a nice selection but if you are selling I would suggest trying other avenues. For 4 nice, basically brand new (worn one time with no damage) Michael Koors dresses, they gave me less than $20. Not really even worth the gas I spent to get there. At least now I know!

2022-08-21Called ahead to bring in items for buys got up there after 45 minutes of driving to be told no. Going elsewhere from now on. Had totes of loft items too. Style encores loss!

2021-04-14I have to be honest with you. I haven’t yet shopped at Style Encore, because there isn’t one in my area. I never have good luck with shopping online so I don’t do it. I tune in purely to be entertained by one of your employees. She does the live shows. Her name is Crystal Howard and she is an amazing talent. Not only is she a stunning woman, she has an amazing sense of style and she knows how to put it all together. Then there’s her personality. She is so welcoming, inviting and entertaining to watch. I don’t even know if she realizes how fun she is to the viewer. She represents your store well, which is obvious with how many likes she gets. You found a gem in Clifton Park, and I only hope QVC doesn’t take her away from you!

2021-03-08Love the store !! I frequent many consignment shops but this is by far one of the best ones. I live in Arizona and always tune in for their live shows because a I love Crystal and the presentation and the information that she shares you almost feel like you’re there feeling it and touching it in person. She tells you what the fabric looks like gives you a good idea of the texture the color n brand if it has pull or give and if it’s really true to size. Being out of state I appreciate that because I know what brands I fit into on a general basis but it’s always good to have additional information. They have a wonderful variety n selection of merchandise and sizes . I love them as they tend to get a lot of Chicos n Talbots which is my absolute favorite and can be expensive. Addie has a great show on the weekends too I love watching her and the shipping is just beyond belief if I’m not able to attend a live show I take pictures send them what I’m interested in n want what size it was the number and they’re able to tell me quickly if it is still available or not. For the price of shipping I’m able to get a large number and quantity of clothes that are high caliber for a relatively low priced as they know how to package it and get the most bang for my buck I appreciate and love these ladies

2020-12-06I tried to sell my stuff and while she was processing my clothes and all I took a look around the store and what they have isn’t really of great style. When I came back to see how my clothes were doing she selected only 5 items out of sooo many really nice ones and gave me a horrible price. It seemed like they didn’t really know the real value of some things or they just tried to rip me off. Not a place to sale to. But the customer service was very friendly and understanding.

2021-05-05I enjoy the live shows as I’m a mom of 4 that lives 45 minutes away. It allows me to shop from the comfort of my home, even when my 1 year old twins are raiding the snack cabinet and climbing all over me! 🛍

A amazing individual who just will sye you to perfection.They employees are knowledgeable about fashion , they know what true customer service is all about. The store has amazing prices to fit anyone’s budget. Convenient location and wheelchair accessible. Where can you go in upstate New York and have nice friendly service and no judgement. If you haven’t stopped In yet , you are missing out ! The clothing selection the accessories the purses are perfect !
