I have tried for a little over a year with this company. Price gouging, allowing us to run out of fuel multiple times when we were on an auto fill account, refusing to discuss a contract or lock in prices with me. Robin stating she would mail the paperwork out and/or call me back and she never did. Yet every time I called to discuss my contract I was told I had to wait my turn. Our initial set up a year ago was a nightmare. Over charges, constantly telling me I needed a tech for this and a tech for that. Even when the tech was the one who didnt set our stove up properly! Finally told them to come get their tanks, a year is more than enough time to give a company to work with us. I have paid them thousands of dollars in a single year and to still being given the run around is wrong. Its not that difficult to discuss a lock in price for an existing customer. I shouldnt have to call several times and keep being pushed back further Robin. If we had a scheduled call date and time you uphold your end of the contract. Not keep stalling so you can charge me the absolute highest price possible.

I signed a 3 year contract. The prices started out reasonable, but increased steadily. The last year they were way over NYSERDA averages. I was told that its because I used less than the average (I also burn wood). When the contract ended, I contacted 3 other suppliers and found prices were nearly half of Suburbans, with no contract and no minimum usage. Its been a year, and Im much happier with the new company.

We called to get our 100lb tanks swapped out. We were told this would happen on July 15th by Melissa. It did not happen until July 23rd. Called after the 15th and was told that Melissa called my husband to reschedule on the 23rd. No such call was on his phone.

We have been customers for over 20years and the service has slipped dramatically. We have nearly run out of oil 2xs this year and the dispatcher always has the same response. We will schedule you for a delivery !. Then when its scheduled they dont show prompting additional calls and when they do arrive its a mini tank with a few gallons? They serviced our furnace didnt know where the shut off was and left our home smelling of oil to where they had to return and remedy the problem,, Then they wanted to charge us for their major error. . We are not calling to speak to anyone nor are we e-mailing our concerns since the e-mails i see to folks in return are copy and pasted with the same response, We are not using this company moving forward the customer service doesnt exist..

Worst company ever!! Price gouging to the point the attorney general’s office will be notified and the Better business bureau. If I have to get a lawyer I will! When we moved into the rental we were told we had to keep this company. They are the highest priced propane ever! $3.89 per gallon when other companies offer it at $1.47. We finally more after 4 years of dealing with them screwing us over. If you have the money to just throw out the window then this is the company for you! We got a bill today after moving for $685 with $200 marked off as we had the credit in our account. They charged us $4.29 per gallon and charged the new tenants $485 for the same fuel! I don’t know how they sleep at night doing this to the average middle man trying to make a living! I could go on and on with negativity with this company! Shop elsewhere people....and they say they care about their customers....what a joke!! Price gouging is all I can say!!

Your repairman was very thorough and helpful in getting our furnace running again when we ran out of fuel . However, we didnt expect to run out of fuel when we are on automatic delivery. Your office insisted we still had x number of gallons when we called them. As customers for over 50 years, we hope that your policy of providing free oil if one runs out will be honored. The transition was great On March8th & the delivery person said Suburban would be back to top off tanks in days. I ask that it be done & me billed before March 20th as we are leaving for a month & I wanted to pay it before leaving--as of now March 18th it has not happen

This site is super friendly easy to deal with. I just had a tank set and the guys where very nice to deal with. They went and checked for all gas leaks made sure everything worked as it should. Number one thing they seem to care about is safety of your home and quality of work. Thank you for the great experience.

Had to call when tank was basically empty while on prepay program. Not much of an apology. They seemed more worried about their image. Did not offer free fuel like other reputable companies do when failing to show up on time. Their prepay plan seems random. One friend got 1.69 quoted while another got 1.59 during the same period and for similar contract. Their contract, btw, lists a slew of extra costs like hazmat training.

Suburban propane charged me an exorbitant $4.92 / gallon for propane delivered on Jan 13th 2020. This was part of their automatic refill program. I canceled the automatic refill on Dec 2019, but suburban ignored my request. When I called again today (Jan 14th), to question the delivery, I was treated to a long, complex and intentionally confusion discussion of propanedelivery cost (suburban has many different prices per gallon depending on???) . Today, another local propane company quoted a price of $1.99 / gallon for delivery to the same location on the same date. Can you say price gouging and predatory pricing practices. Perhaps a complaint to the NYS attny general would help?
