Suitsupply in other cities:
Steven is the guy. He worked so well with our 20 year old son buying his first ‘interview’ suit. He was knowledgeable about the dress norms for the world our guy is trying to break into, seemed expert in his opinions about fit and tailoring and was endlessly patient. So rare to get this complete package of customer service. Thanks Steven.
The ideal shopping experience; I’ve never been in and out of a menswear place so quickly or so we’ll taken care of. Alivia was my rep and I’ll definitely be working with her again — sizes me up on sight, everything fit perfectly on the first try. Tailored super quickly, and done for the day. Highly recommend.
Went there for a wedding fitting of one of my close friends and it was awesome! There was a very minimal wait for our 2pm appointment, even though I made the group a bit late by arriving 5 minutes late. In any case, Arthur was our tailor and he handled things beautifully. He was very clear with who needed to go where and took special care of everyone he was dealing with at the moment. I appreciate his attention to detail because he wasnt happy with something fitting well enough instead he wanted to make things fit perfectly. In addition, he was very good at explaining why he would make a change in outfit in laymens terms and in ways I wouldnt have found a way to vocalize. Highly recommend and if you can get Arthur please do yourself a favor and ask for him
I definitely recommend booking an appointment with Logan!! I have been buying pieces/suits from suitsupply for some time and I have had good and bad experiences. However, I have to say Logans fashion expertise is exceptional and he cares about his clients... Highly recommend!
The gentlemen who guided me through my shopping experience was very friendly and professional. He helped me put together a solid summer fit. Outside of his exceptional customer service, the rest of the staff was frustrating. They rushed us and made it clear that we should be making an appointment beforehand. Nothing worse than spending $500 and feeling unwelcome. However, it was all made up when I was able to enjoy 3 standard drinks on the soho rooftop. 4/5 stars, great spot, a couple of bad apples in the store
You know, its hard to imagining having a better experience then what I just had. I made an appointment and got lucky to get paired up with Art.I had a pretty specific need. I fly out today, and I needed a suit ready to rock for a wedding asap. Art rescued me with strong opinions, knowledge, and really kind vibes. He quickly helped me navigate a fit, color, and a medley of options to dress something up or down. We landed on a solid fit for my frame and helped me coordinate adjustments in another city to accommodate my lack of preparation.I look like Ive casually been prepped and ready for ages, when in reality I winged it and let Art do the work.#ArtisthebossThanks brother!
Customer service that leaves a bad taste in your mouth, limited selection, preference for those buying full suits vs. individual items (such as pair of dress pants, shirt, etc).Arrived here with my boyfriend to buy a pair of beige dress pants for an upcoming wedding. Upon arrival, the front desk greeter was negative and short — asked what we were looking for, discouraged us that they had what we wanted, warned us that all items were now fall styles instead of summer styles, and begrudgingly put our name down for a salesperson.25 minutes later, they assigned us a salesman named Max and told us to go find him upstairs. We headed up, found Max, and told him what we’re looking for — suit pants in a beige/tan color. He didn’t seem to want to help and said something vague about how pants were all downstairs. Confused, we headed downstairs again and asked the front desk person if my boyfriend could just try on a pair of pants that caught his eye. Figured we’d take things into our own hands. The front desk person was peeved and radio’d Max, asking if he was preoccupied with helping somebody else. Max seemed to respond “no” from the other end, and the front desk man brusquely asked him to come down and help. Based on their interaction and the front desk guy’s apologetic attitude, it seems like Max has a history of selectively choosing which customers to help. The next half hour was pretty unpleasant — Max was irritable, condescending, and seemed just short of rolling his eyes many times. At one point, my boyfriend and I joked about how Suit Supply was a great place to go to if you wanted to be belittled. We felt like an inconvenience as well as a strong pressure to make a decision and get out. Very weird. My boyfriend eventually bought a pair of dress pants that he felt iffy about. We left the store, came to our senses, realized how awful that customer service experience was, then called to cancel the order. It’s not fun to pay $200+ on a pair of pants when the whole experience leaves you uncomfortable. My boyfriend had also bought a suit here in the past and experienced something similar — so it’s not just a one off thing.TLDR, belittling customer service experience that is almost laughable in retrospect. Suit Supply needs to figure out their commission model because it seems to be driving salespeople to their worst/lowest behavior. Avoid if you have self respect
While I appreciate the store associates dedication to finding something that works, they have one mind set in terms of fit there and it’s skinny. Every pair of pants was rail tight until I sized up to a 38 waist. Im a 33 waist and I would’ve busted the pant seams had I tried to bend my knees. But mainly the problem is they pump so much perfume and cologne in there I’ve had a headache since I left several hours ago.
I was recommended this store by my friend. The first time I bought very nice shirts and the helping person was super nice. The second time I returned to purchase more, the front employee came up and said ‘you can’t do this, it’s not how it works’ when I took a t-shirt to look at. Shocked, I was followed by a few rude words and an angry face. Sad to feel not wanting to come back to this store ever again.
Not worth going here, try somewhere else. The staff is rude and dismissive. They seem to be stressed out at all times, and very much act like they don’t have time for you, and it shows up in the product, so it’s not worth your time or money. It is not the customer’s fault they can’t keep up with the appointments they have scheduled…don’t overbook! I had to wait for my appointment, and had to go back twice, waiting again both times, including just to pick up. They also have issues with their inventory system, and don’t even know what they do or do not have available. They hurry you through a process that shouldn’t be super fast if you’re spending thousands of dollars on a new suit(s). They also screwed up my order. when I was there to pick up I pointed out damage / terrible stitching quality on my suit, which they then had to fix, so I had to wait again; the quality is poor due to their internal issues.
Visited three times this summer so am quite familiar with the store. Takeaways from my visits:-People holding the iPads need to change their attitude. They seem way too uninterested and frankly made me want to turn around and take my money elsewhere. With a commission based sale structure Id expect much friendlier, attentive employees but only received this once out of my three visits.-Suits seem mediocre for the price. definitely dont feel like I walked away with a great value buy especially considering my suit was tailored horribly. sleeves are two different lengths which brings me to my third point.-tailoring is questionable. maybe they were in a rush, their hand sliped, they misplaced their glasses. who knows? but when Im paying thousands for suits the bare minimum I expect is for them to be tailored perfectly. wasted probably over 3 hours of my time during the work week to try to sort this out to no avail.tldr: customer services mids, tailoring mids, suits mids so why pay a premium? honestly search a bit longer and find somewhere better. probably could get bespoke suits for suit supplys price points and hell of a lot better fit and customer serivce....
Avoid this place like the plague. Cheap fabrics, sized poorly and the customer service is literally the worst you’ll ever see for a store that is over staffed. Completely disinterested would be putting it mildly, a store that thinks it’s high end but is far far from it, employee attitude would be better suited to the DMV. Buyer beware.
Appointments literally don’t matter at this place. Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever received at a suit shop. Arthur was not only mean and rude but his style sincerely lacks any taste and refused to listen to what I wanted. I was pushed out after 20 minutes. I refuse to give them my business again.
The overall experience had potential, but was pretty disappointing. We arrived 5 minutes ahead of our appointment, but they were running behind, so they had us wait on the rooftop. This was definitely the highlight of the experience! However, once we met Arthur for the appointment, it went downhill from there. He refused to listen to what my fiancé wanted, only presented one option, rushed us throughout, and did not care to ask a single question. When we asked if they had any other pant styles (because the one he presented was completely opposite of what my fiancé had asked for), Arthur got incredibly defensive and rude, and said that they only carry one pant style (NOT true). When we asked if there was anything else we could try on, he told us to get out of the store. This was an overall disappointing experience, especially since the other Suitsupply employees were warm and helpful. My feedback is to make sure each customer feels heard and has a special experience, especially since suits are a large investment and appointments need to be made in advance. Please do better.
I wanted to write a review to call out the excellent service I received from Ayanna Dickinson. I got a custom suit for a summer wedding later this month and had to come back 4 times for different alterations of the suit and spoke with a different associate each time. Some of the associates seemed dismissive of my concerns of bagginess in my trousers, stating that the bagginess was due to my posture or rushing me through with alterations that didnt work or went too far, which resulted in me coming back 4 weeks in a row, but not Ayanna. While Ayanna was not the person who originally measured me, she was the friendliest by far, which was important to me because its been 5 years since I got my last custom tailored suit, so I needed someone who was friendly and responsive to my questions and concerns and not someone who made me feel like they just wanted me out.All the associates are working with 2-3 customers at the same time, but Ayanna really made sure to communicate well to each of us and provided excellent service without sacrificing efficiency or friendliness.
It was quite a saga, but Vishal, the manager, got me wedding ready. Custom tux, multiple jackets and trousers that originally were delayed due to supply chain. He made sure the delivery was made and that an acceptable replacement was done on time. Can’t beat the personal touch.
Visited this location to purchase a suit for an event coming up in a month. Sadly I never made it passed the door. Erle, who was checking people in, was more lifeless then the zombies on the walking dead. I quickly left after he was negative and condescending. A cardboard cutout might be a better approach next time. Wouldn’t have to pay it anything and would give you the same effect.
It REALLY matters who you work with at SuitSupply. I had a very mixed experience. Laurencio was terrific: sharp, focused and efficient. Max and Vanessa were very understanding and apologetic when I went to pick up my altered suit and had an absolutely awful experience with a different staff member. This staff member clearly resented having been assigned to me, possibly because all I was buying on my second visit were shoes and a belt. (I suppose the commission on those small items wasnt going to be high enough to inspire her to provide good service.) Or maybe she was just having a bad day. I was truly dumbfounded by her visible irritation and resentment. When I told her I was a size 10.5 shoe, she pushed me to buy a size 11 instead because it was too much trouble for her to go all the way upstairs to get the proper size. Yes, you read that right: she tried to sell me the wrong size shoe because she was too lazy to climb a flight of stairs! After that she simply disappeared. When I came to the counter looking for her, I noticed that she was chatting on the phone. Had I not left the fitting room, who knows how long she would have left me there. To top it all off, the shirt Id ordered a few days earlier -- and which I was there to pick up along with my suit -- was so wrinkled that it was unwearable. Youd think SuitSupply would have more self-respect, and respect for its customers, than to send them off with an unwearable shirt. I will acknowledge that Max graciously offered to have it pressed; but I didnt have time to wait. All in all, the products are of high quality ... but be sure to work with the right salesperson. Laurencio, Max and Vanessa were all great. But it was too little, too late. Oh, I was notified that a store employee would contact me to address the situation. Well, over a week later Ive heard nothing. I suppose the only thing worse than the service is the follow-through.
I have been there for many times for suits and polo. Today I received the most arrogant service from the checkin person. He skipped us to check in others behind us in the line. He made me feel that he was discriminating customers who were looking for suits and those for shirts/polo. I asked him why he skipped us to check in others. He said ‘Do you need help or not’. Shame on him.
Pretty bad sign when you step into the store and the person checking you in already has an attitude and is condescending towards you. The tall, thin gentleman who greeted me must really dislike his job or at least I hope so cause that’s the only justification for the attitude he had.
Do not buy a suit or anything from this place. I ordered a suit for my daughters wedding. Went to pick it up 2 days before the wedding they tell me the suit won’t be in for a few more weeks !!! Tried calling this place numerous times they don’t pick up the phone!!! Buyer beware!!!!
These guys were honestly amazing.I went in with my then boyfriend and his mom. These shots are from a few weeks before our wedding and of course he left getting a suit to the last minute, lol.The space is several floors high, and feels new, but with an old-timey tailor vibe. There was an old restored elevator that was cool and nostalgic, and the staff are all super nice and well dressed. They also had a woman’s section on the top floor which I checked out briefly - beautifully designed and perfectly tailored suits and professional wear for ladies. They spent tons of undivided time with us, marking the suit and letting him walk around to ensure the perfect fit.It was a great experience!
My husband bought a suit here in October and got it tailored there as well. The day I went to pick it up I didnt plan ahead for parking, I drove around aimlessly not sure what to do as I couldnt find anywhere to park. Cameron came down and met me, safely with a mask, and brought the suit to my car as I pulled over for a second. Top tier service, thank you so much! Also, dont be like me - plan ahead for parking - dont make Cameron come downstairs. Suit is great too.
Suitsupply soho is one of the best CX experiences I’ve ever had. We walked in and were greeted warmly and asked if we wanted anything to drink. Everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It felt like no time was wasted to help us find what we needed. Not to mention, the alterations we needed were complete within 20 hours of us coming to the store. A seamless experience from start to finish. We’re coming back!
I have been a loyal customer for Suistudio, their womens collection that discontinued recently.Naturally, I had to recommend this place for my husband when he was searching for a new place to get his new suit.Few weeks ago my husband went with his friends to get a new suit tailored at this location. The tailored new suit arrived to our house completely not wearable. Sleeves were set in incorrectly where it was clearly visually twisting when he wore it and the sleeve seam line was facing forward hiked up when he rested his arms straight. Clearly, something happened during alterations. Pants were so short that his ankles were visible. This is supposed to be his everyday suit not a fashion pant.... We called Suitsupply and someone from there told us to come in. Today we went to Suitsupply and the two workers there were VERY aggressive and rude. The manager with pompadour hair was getting angry as we are discussing our concerns and my husband and I felt extremely uncomfortable. We felt threatened by his body language and speaking manners. Not apologetic at all and blamed my husbands posture for the sleeve twisting. Little did he know that Im actually a menswear suit designer... I disagreed with him and he got very ferocious and brought the master tailor to us who agreed with my call outs.Im still not sure why he had to make us feel unsafe at the store when we are the customers here who paid the money to get goods. Again no apologies even after me being correct on the call outs. Really not the right model to represent the brand or to lead the team as a manager. Ill not recommend Suitsupply to any of my friends and family in the future. Extremely unreliable when it comes to service and quality control. Hope they are better at hiring staffs in the future too.
Do yourself a favor and request Steven for an appointment. He was efficient yet careful in ensuring I was getting exactly what I was looking for. He also makes great suggestions so you arent stuck with your own vision, this is rare to find in my opinion. I would recommend him to anyone who is shopping here.
Vishal (otherwise known as simply V), provided me with the best retail experience in my life. Forget the cost of the 7 identical suits purchased for myself and wedding party. The real value was the service that V provided.Suit Supply is a massive high end suit retailer with many locations. During the pandemic, I struggled with retailers after finding a suit I liked. They often lacked the inventory to provide suits to my wedding party, as well. V assured me he’d be able to get it done, and get it done he did.He navigated the bureaucracy (that giant retailers inevitably consist of) to ship suits from oversees to my wedding party in all parts of the country, communicated with Suit Supplies in half a dozen cities, coordinated tailoring, shipping, returns, etc… at one of my fittings I got to witness V at work, simultaneously providing me 5 star service while taking calls, and answering fellow employee questions. The man did it all with ease. I was surprised that he was working the floor instead of running the entire company.I’ve already recommended to several friends to see V for their suit needs and they have reported back a similar experience.Thank you to Suit Supply, and specifically V, for helping make something that stressed me out, as little stress as possible.-A newly loyal Suit Supply customer
I have 3 suits from Suitsupply, and one of them was from this location 2 years ago. I decided to go get a contemporary suit and a tailored shirt again on Saturday, March 5th. I was walking in, and it was very nice of a staff to let me know that it was a busy day and I would be helped as soon as someone freed up. And Kevin freed up in about 10 minutes, and it was great so far. He was rushing throughout the entire process, but it didnt bother me as much because I knew I wasnt going to get the best experience as a walk-in in a busy day and I knew exactly what I was looking for. We were going to have 2 of 3 items altered and have it delivered to my address in another state. I saw Kevin punching in the address and heard they were going to be shipped with a confirmation email right after I got a confirmation email/text for alterations being done. So I have got 2 texts/emails for altered items on Tuesday, March 8th, and I have followed up 4 times till today to hear that the delivery is going to be initiated on Monday, March 14th to the address I updated via customer service on the 2nd call that I thought was already updated on site. Had I not called, it would have been delivered to my old NY address. I am really disappointed with the customer service, especially when they were dealing with expensive, altered items that could not be returned or exchanged.
UPDATE 11/2: I have not yet been contacted by the store more than 3 weeks after Suitsupplys reply to this review that they would reach out to me. I recommend going to a different Suitsupply store (there are several in NYC).Buying my custom suit (on a weekday) was amazing thanks to Devante. The ultimate product was great too. Why 2 stars then? Because the pick-up was horrible. No final fitting, no service at all, no try on shirt, no acknowledgement by any salesperson. I intended to buy a belt and shoes in addition to my 1300 dollar suit. Still no service whatsoever. Left the items there and am utterly disappointed with their service this second visit. If its busy, either get more people on the floor or reduce the number of customers youre letting in because if this was my first experience I would never come back.
Upon the recommendation of a friend, I decided to pop in to Suitsupply Soho today. I recently accepted a new job position and needed to purchase some more appropriate attire. Although I only ended up going with one item, I had the most phenomenal experience at this location. I spoke with an extremely helpful and friendly sales associate, whom I believe is named Ayana, and the entire experience was pretty seamless. She went above and beyond to provide some of the best customer service Ive had lately, all the while keeping things professional yet sincere and genuine. I will definitely come back!
Terrible customer service and a waste of time. Made an appointment for my fiance to find a suit for our wedding. We arrived right on time and waited 10-15 minutes to meet with the associate in charge of us. He spoke with us for a minute before leaving to help walk-ins for 10 minutes. He apologized, and expressed that they were short-staffed today, which we understood. However, after helping us for another three minutes, he left AGAIN to presumably assist other customers. Several other staff saw us left alone in the fitting area during this time and did nothing to alleviate the situation. We looked around on our own and after another 20 minutes of waiting, cut our losses and walked out. Extremely disappointed because we had scheduled the appointment well in advance and were ready to purchase a suit today. Oh well, their loss. We will take our business elsewhere, and recommend that others do the same!
If you looking for a suit for any occasion or a very nice casual outfit this is one of the best places in the city. They tailored for you. They make you look perfect and the guys are very helpful choosing the right one for you, color and styles. The store is very organized which make it easy for you to pick.
I noticed a man impeccably dressed at work. He mentioned he gave the credit to Suit Supply in Soho and I should ask for Paris. He was 100 percent correct! From the moment I walked in I was treated like family. Paris was patient, honest, friendly and had a great eye for style considering all elements of a garment. From coloring to sizing to fit. I didnt feel pressured to purchase and left knowing I will repeat the experience. The whole store and sales team was a pleasure from the moment I entered to the moment I left. Suit Supply Soho and Paris will be my go to from now on.
My husband and I visited the store to be fitted for custom clothes. The friendly greeters at the door guided up to where we checked in. We were then sent to the rooftop bar to await our representative ( tge rooftop is amazing.) After being sent back downstairs, we were paired with our representative. This is where everything really started to go wrong. The customer service could not have been anymore subpar, especially considering the amount of money we were spending. We were told custom was not an option. Only after attempting to fit my husband, who is small, did he state “You need to make another appointment for a custom suit.” We fortunately were able to find some off-the-shelf clothes that fit. The more we shopped, the more frustrated our representative seemed. More than once he left us unattended holding our clothes, and we were told to “put this up for me” or “ fold this one.” When we were done and it was time to check out we were told to sit. He then proceeded to go and help someone else while we waited for over 15 minutes. No one else was allowed or was willing to check us out. Our total was well about $1500 and we were treated quite poorly. I was literally angry by the end of our time there. We won’t be back.
First off, I love the clothes from suitsupply and have my tux, several suits, and some shirts from here. But the staff at this location could use an attitude adjustment. I have been in several times in the past few weeks during the week and on the weekend and have been consistently ignored by the staff. Not once has someone asked if they can help me, and Ive had staff look at me as I tried to get their attention and just completely ignore me on multiple occasions. When I finally got the attention of a staff member, she gave me an attitude for bothering her while she was with another client. Meanwhile, I had picked out the exact shirt I wanted and just needed someone to go and get my size. If this were a one-off experience, Id shake it off, but this is the third time Ive had a similar experience in the past few months. Take your business elsewhere or check out another location if you want decent customer service.
My husband and I came in without a appointment and were instantly greeted and told that there would be a 25 minute wait. It was a Sunday (10/17) so we understood the long wait time. We were guided to the amazing rooftop and greeted by two wonderful staff members who consistently checked in on us and offered us beverage. Once we met our sales associate, Cameron, is when our visit went went downhill at a warped speed. We mentioned that we were looking for maybe blue suits but were open to and interested in anything. We were told because of my husbands stature that he would be an ideal candidate for custom. We said okay cool we need it by a certain date then he said it wasnt possible. Without explanation to the process of Suit Supply he just gave us one blue jacket to try on. When that didnt work he then gave us one other jacket he prefaced saying was going to be to big and wont fit (???). We then had to ask about pants, and he walked away without explanation. When given a pair to try on, just one, that were in need of tailoring. Now after many questions I believe the pants were just to get an idea for sizing, but had I not asked those questions how would I know? He also only brought one pair in one size, as a shopper generally speaking you are given two sizes. Of course a suit needs tailoring, at any height, and we understood that. But the failure of our associate and possibly his training, or lack thereof, is telling us what IS NOT possible in a room and building that Suit Supply sells as making anything possible, customizing to your taste. NOT HERE! NOT ACCORDING TO CAMERON! Stature was mentioned at least 5 times (in a rude way) and my husband was given one jacket to try on, clearly our sales associate Cameron had a very singular understanding of our needs even though we were clear about what we were looking for.Everytime we asked a question it seemed that our associate didnt have the skills to answer our questions in an appropriate and non patronizing way. His overall attitude was laissez-faire. The more questions we asked the more frustrated and apathetic he became. We have been able to easily find suits off the rack and adjust to our liking with tailoring, but that seemed impossible for Cameron to grasp. We truly asked each other maybe he doesnt want to make a sale? We left confused and almost angry that we put ourselves through that shopping nightmare. We even laughed about how it was inferred by our sales associate that he was too fat and short for suits (he isnt). We instead went to another store spending more money than we would have at Suit Supply, finding much better customer service. Guess what? It was off the rack too, just needs some tailoring, which I guess SuitSupply doesnt offer. I am embarrassed for SuitSupply that this was an experience by any shopper. We dont need glitz or free wine or a rooftop. We need customer service and knowledgeable associates.
Came for a fitting on a Friday a gentleman name Maximilian I believe assisted me an if I could give him 5 stars I would. Was notified at 1pm on Saturday that my alterations were completed. Coming from Brooklyn I arrived around 4:15pm and all I could say about the Saturday staff is the customer service was horrible. Upon checking in I didn’t get the gentleman’s name but he took my information at 4:17pm. Supposedly he called on the radio for my suit. Notifies me I have to wait until someone brings it from upstairs.I looked at my phone and saw a text to look at the waiting list app And it said my wait will be 1min. 15mins pass I walk around and purchase some socks and a handkerchief. 20 mins pass multiple employees look me dead in the face and offer no assistance or information on what’s happening. Meanwhile the gentleman who supposedly called for the suit is running around helping other customers who clearly arrived after me offering water, etc. 30 mins pass I walk to him and ask how much longer? He then acts surprised as if he didn’t know I was still there. Checks and sees where the suit is and the suit is right on the 2nd floor where the gentleman does the alterations.. I will never spend my hard earned money at that location again. Don’t want to be dramatic but you can clearly tell you have to look a specific way to gain assistance there on a Saturday , therefore I’ll never enter again. Honestly the only reason I’m giving the place 2 stars is because of Maximilian. If this review is read you should definitely consider having him teach the others customer service.
Going to caveat this entire review with the fact that I’m a huge fan of SuitSupply. I think this is the brand to buy from at this price point and have recommended many friends to SuitSupply in the past with positive results. I personally bought my wedding tux in the past from the Madison Ave store along with other suits / items and had an amazing experience. That all said, I’d recommend people avoid the Broome street location. The store itself is beautiful + well stocked but the people working the store are generally unhelpful and borderline rude. I actually ended up buying a reasonably expensive suit from this location but walked away pretty unhappy with my experience all three times I came in (to buy the suit + pickup altered / ordered items) due to the staff.
If youre looking for a quality suit and you dont want to spend a large amount of money, you definitely need to check out Suitsupply. The variety is impressive, the quality is high, and the price is hard to beat for what you get. Service can be slower atty times, but staff is helpful when you finally get someone.
I wouldnt recommend Suitsupply if youre grieving and looking for a suit for a funeral or special occasion, doubly if youre queer and/or not a man. I came in looking for a suit to attend a relatives funeral - I knew exactly what I wanted as well as my measurements from a tailor.I waited for 5 minutes for someone to help me from the time I walked through the door and asked for help. After waiting another 10 minutes, I was told that they didnt even have my size in stock, despite that being the very first question I asked when I entered. It really was far too long for a simply inquiry that took seconds at J.Crew. To make the entire shopping experience worse, one of the staff members asked whose funeral I was attending and when I told him, his remarks was so insensitive and cruel, it lacked basic consideration. There are so many unexpected funerals due to this pandemic; this is a glaring oversight, be kind or be quiet please. The customer service here is not great at all. Compared to the other stores I visited, with staff who actually helped me find a great suit and treated me with kindness, I have no reason to ever shop at Suitsupply or recommend them to anyone I know.
If youre looking for suits either off the shelf or custom this is the place to go. Vishal and Andrew are two of the most informative, stylish gentlemen you will ever meet. though the entire staff is top noch these two are above the rest. they were attentive, understood my needs and went above and beyond to more than satisy them. these are some of the best tailors in nyc. suitsupply is also a place to go for mid to highend casual and formal wear with a solid price range. really good stuff here..
I heard great things about SuitSupply and thought itd be the right place to purchase a tux for my wedding. I went online, designed a tux, and booked an appointment to try it on.Upon arrival, I was impressed with the SuitSupply store. I work in eCommerce with luxury/fashion brands, and this was a nice taste of an elevated retail experience. My appointment was with Devante, and he was super helpful/friendly. One thing worth noting - the tux I designed online didnt populate for my appointment, so I essentially had to go through the whole process of saying my preferences again. My tux required alterations and it took a few days for SuitSupply to turn this around. During this time, I realized I already had a pair of tuxedo shoes, so I didnt need the ones I purchased from SuitSupply anymore. I decided to go pick up my altered tux and return my shoes...The second time visiting the store was a disaster. The greeter was busy when I arrived and there wasnt anybody in the checkout area. A few employees walked past me and ignored more. Finally the greeter was available, but she started helping the person who came in after me. Eventually she came over and collected my ticket number to collect the tux.In the meantime, I started the shoe return process with another employee. She took the shoes and accused me of having worn them outside and threatened that she couldnt return them. The shoes were in the exact same packaging/bag as when I had purchased them and they still had the original barcodes on the soles/sides of the shoes. She was incredibly accusatory and called the store manager and essentially put me on trial for about 10 minutes. It was the most uncomfortable shopping experience Ive ever had.The store manager was extremely unfriendly and just gave snarky answers saying that the shoes had water marks on them, some scuffs, but then eventually agreed to return the shoes. Besides being accused of something I didnt do, it also made me start to question the quality of items SuitSupply would sell to customers, especially if they leave the store in a place where they cant be returned, despite no usage.Anyways, end of rant. Happy to have my tux, but Im done with this place. Good riddance.
Had a good experience with Art, but otherwise it was not a great shopping experience. When I went to pick up my suit for alterations, the employee put someone else into my fitting room while my clothes were still in there. Definitely needs to be some better training....
Terrific place to waste an hour of your time. Made an appointment to get a suit made, only to be ignored for half of the appointment. Finally got measured and then was told the fabric was out of stock, and not even made anymore. An utter waste of time - and also had a bad experience at a store in another city. Save your time and go to real tailors.
Helpful and friendly staff. Ive bought several suits from this store in the past and have been happy with the product. On my last visit I had a slightly unpleasant service experience, but the manager, Julie, did an excellent job jumping in, hearing me, and making it right. Gave me confidence in going back, which I did. Brian in alterations gave solid advice on some tricky suit alterations and left a great impression. Hope SS continues to hire great talent here. Will be back!
Where do I start, smh. ( I’ll make it short) . My customer experience felt like pulling teeth with the gentleman ( really wish I got his name) who was supposed to be helping me . I guess because I was a walk in, he didn’t have time to give me advice and the attention a customer will need to be fitted for a tuxedo. It was times, I was just waiting at the mirror for what felt like 10 minutes for him to come back.I felt rushed and a hurry up and buy type of atmosphere. Sometimes the best thing to do is take your money elsewhere, life’s too short for people to treat you like you’re begging them to spend your money.
Excellent setting. Stepped in on a weekday for help with my best men for a wedding suit. Paris stepped in and helped us with incredible ease and thoroughness. He made us feel comfortable and gave solid advice each step along the way, from what to match, what to play with, and how to order. I ended up with a custom suit at an amazing price, and coffee offered to me while I was deliberating. Awesome service. Great store.
Youll eventually find a great suit here. I believe that the suits themselves are great and the alteration service is just as good. The space is great and everyone walking around is dressed pretty sharp for inspiration. My experience has been that theyre quick to zero in on one suit that they think is the best option and hesitate to try others even when you insist that youd like to. Thats not how I operate. Im there to try a variety of colors, styles and even fits. None the less, I ended up finding a suit for my own and my friends wedding here.
I purchased a suit in November 2017 after hearing good reviews from colleagues. I have to admit that the service while making the purchase was very good. I had a few hiccups during alterations but overall very smooth and was pleased with the suit and service.Recently, the suit pants ripped in between the legs very near the seam. I called the customer service number after reading a several other reviews to make sure what I needed to bring with me which they advised to just bring the pants. I specifically asked if I needed to have them dry cleaned and the rep said “no.” I made the trek down to Soho to discuss having them repaired/replaced as I’ve only owned the suit for about 6 months. After someone there looked at them I was told that the pants would need to be dry cleaned before they could repair them, no chance at getting them replaced. But they WERE repairable.I showed the pants to my dry cleaner who also agreed the fabric is very thin. I had them dry cleaned and then went back to the Madison Ave store which is near my office. The gentleman there was very professional. He took his time and let me know that the patch would not look great and the pants are beyond repair, which I appreciated the honesty. I will have to replace the suit pants for $200 +. This review stems for this location from the lack of customer service, the quality of the pants, and the fact that I took time out of my schedule and was given the run around with no solution. Decent product but I would look elsewhere if you are suit shopping.
I would not recommend this Soho location at all. We ordered our suit in SEPTEMBER. The suit was lost, then sent by mistake to the Madison Avenue location where the staff was not able to locate or retrieve it for some three months. We were called in for a fitting and they did not have the suit. My repeated calls and emails seemed to do nothing to hasten its delivery. When at last the suit arrived sometime in DECEMBER, the suit did not fit at all. The jacket could not be buttoned and the pants were not the correct size. The order was then cancelled and a refund was issued. If given the option, I would give this establishment NO STARS . We then bought two suits from My.suit.Three weeks have now passed since my initial post expressing dissatisfaction with your company. In your response you stated that someone would be contacting me to discuss the issue. I guess that was an empty statement, intended to mislead others into thinking that your company actually has an interest in providing customer satisfaction. Further reason not to shop with you.
I cant brave about this place enough. You walk in feeling well tend to, but not over pressured to buy suits or other clothing. The staff is very knowledgeable and will have your suits tailored for you while you wait. I really like being a customer. Plus, for the quality of the suits, the prices are great
Terrible experience here ahead of a very special day.We purchased a full suit two evenings ago (Wednesday) and were told alternations will take an hour. The store was closing so we were told to come back the next day. I went back today (Friday) en route to my best friends wedding to pick up the suit. I waited 15-20 minutes before learning they forgot to complete the alterations. If I were at Macys and bought the suit on discount, this may be acceptable, but I accepted overpaying for a suit made in China in exchange for great customer service (fail).Im now attempting to get the suit tailored on location where the wedding is. Im hoping suitsupply compensates for the trouble.UPDATE: no follow up from the store manager. would have expected more, but they are growing so Im not shocked customer service suffers along the way.
An absolutely lousy experience all around. When buying a suit for my wedding, I dont want to feel completely unprioritized. The place was not busy, and my fiancée and I were rushed into options, with the rep leaving us immediately afterwards, *numerous times*, with minimal consultation for the short times he made himself available to us. We felt like we were not taken seriously the second we walked in. We found a custom suit elsewhere with the positive customer service experience we were expecting here.
Off the rack suits which are custom tailored to your fit but in my opinion, overpriced. Suit I picked out was 650 before alterations. If Im paying that kind of money Im looking for custom everything. Good thing about the place is the staff know how to help you. Could also use some more mirrors if it gets busy.
I usually never ever write reviews on Google but after my experience at Suitsupply SoHo I must let the people know.My experience started out walking into the store a while back, very neat and fashion forward ...I didn’t know where to start until one gentleman by the name of Krenar introduced himself to me. From the moment I met him I knew I was in good hands because his style was impeccable and so was his hospitality. When you talk to him you feel like he actually cares so much to understand what your looking for and to get a sense of your taste before he shows you around the shop and gives you suggestions.Every single time I waked out of that store I felt amazing and more confident because he took my suit style up a notch. Much of my inspiration comes from him. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! When you go there ask for him. He’ll take care of the rest.
I echo the reviews here of poor quality fabric and customer service.I purchased a suit in December 17 with high hopes after hearing great things about the brand. Fast forward four months, the suit pants have worn through in three places - two belt holes and in the seat. Understanding that there can be bad batches of products, I took them back today with the expectation they would be quickly replaced given the short period of time that has elapsed since purchase. What I was confronted with was a surprise to say least: two mangers telling me the wear was my fault. After some resistance, they agreed they would repair them, but only if they were freshly dry cleaned at my own expense. As a wearer of many suits, I have never had a suit wear this way this quickly and found the whole interaction thoroughly shocking for a such a good brand.
I recently visited the SOHO Suitsupply location after a recommendation from a friend to check the company out for a wedding suit. I flew in from Vermont to visit and couldnt have had a better experience. I arrived when they opened and was immediately greeted and shown to the appropriate floor, upon which I was greeted by my sales associate Rohan. He wasted no time and got right to work finding me the ideal suit for my wedding. He was extremely helpful with sizing and fit, and had me in and out of their in under 30min which I was extremely surprised at. I had them hem the pants and ship the suit up to me, which arrived a mere 3 business days later. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience. The experience, quality of customer service from Rohan, and value will all bring me back to Suitsupply again. Thanks for a great experience!
An interesting and affordable suit store, but kind of inconsistent service. I had to go in to have my suit fitted and altered 3 times, and each time I got wildly varying advice and service. I still would recommend it as a place to go as the suits are very well priced and have a range of styles and fabrics.
Dont pick up your alterations on a busy day, like Saturday. The 5th floor was packed, and rather than managing the inflow of customers well the dude was just ignoring us (3 of us waited more than 10 minutes before the guy even said hello or looked in our general direction, even though he was a got away). Then when I said Id like to try the suit on before leaving the store I got some attitude, and decided instead to not deal with them anymore and left.Diametrically opposite experience from buying the clothes mid week, when the sales rep was super courteous and friendly. The suits are fine -- the alterations cost money, and they are rather limited (they were supposed to remove some droopy fabric from my shoulder blades but I cant see any difference). So, just like with any off the rack suit, YMMV.
I recently bought a suit from Suitsupply. The staff there was very attentive, and the tailoring came out excellently. The suit was a super 130s wool, yet the material seemed very thin to me for that quality of fabric. However, I was so pleased with the fit and look of the suit that I did not say anything. This soon became a problem. By the time I had worn the suit 10-15 times, signs of wear had already begun to show. Then, the suit ripped on the back crease of the pant leg as I was sitting down. Needless to say, I was embarrassed. As the rip was no fault of mine, I sought to return it for either a refund or exchange. David Gallagher, a sales manager at their downtown location, told me that the suit rip was my fault, not that of the fabric or the tailoring. When I asked him if he would be satisfied with an $800 suit that had ripped after only a few uses, he had no answer for me other than a paltry offer of a free shirt and 20% off my next suit. As if I will ever be purchasing anything from them after seeing the horrendous quality of their goods.Bottom line, if you want flashy suits that will probably fall apart in a couple months, this is the place for you. If you want suits that stand the test of time, I would reccomend the Carson Street Clothiers. Their sales associates care as much about quality as they do about fit.
I just bought suits number 3 and 4 here last month, and the reason I keep going back is the top-notch service. Special shout out to Woodens and Sherif. These guys are so quick and helpful. Sherif helped me pick out two great suits in no time at all -- the suits look sharp and they fit incredibly. Woodens even repaired a couple rips in my first two suit pants, for free, two years after purchase. Now thats how you build customer loyalty.
Suisupply Soho is their flagship store and it does not disappoint. Very helpful staff and tremendous inventory. Ive built a pretty solid relationship with Brian but have also worked with Reggie and several others. I havent encountered any pressure or up-selling, just professional styling.
This was a pretty bad experience. Sales associate named Gina was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I had a scheduled appointment that I showed up early to and asked if it was possible to bump it up...the store was empty. Immediatley, she seemed inconvenienced by my question but accommodated me anyway, but not without a heavy tone of annoyance. She begrudgingly directed me towards suits and did little beyond that to earn my business. Will not be spending my money here, or probably any Suitsupply for that matter. Unbelievably bad customer service. I expected more.
I went to the Brookfield location and trashed it for the shabby customer service, so its only fair that I post publically the positive experience I had at the Broome St one. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Sales rep was understanding and walked me through the delivery and alteration schedule. I was presented several options style wise and felt unrushed to pick one. Will see how the alterations turn out, but this looks to me a professionally run outfit. If you are suit shopping, this is definitely worth a look.
My son ordered a suit for me. As my size was not available, the salesman placed an online order and told me to come to the store when I receive the email, for free alteration of the cuff length. Two days later, I received the email and went to the store to try the suit. Unfortunately, they could not find the suit. Nobody could explain why the email stated that the suit was delivered to the store. Thomas, the salesman, who sold the suit said I would get a free shirt for the error and the trouble. The Manager took my phone # to call me back. No body called me, but the next day I received another email and went to try it. The measurement was taken for alteration, and was told that I will get the suit in one week, even though the salesman promised the alteration in one or two days. After 5 days received the email to pick up the suit. The guy in the alteration section was so obnoxious and adamant. When I asked him about the free shirt I was promised, he laughed at me. To add insult to injury, he demanded that I should pay the alternation charges to get the delivery. As the alteration was free, I asked for the Manager. He took me to another floor and after talking to someone, abruptly asked me to take the bag and leave, without any apology or explanation for the fracas. What a horrible experience altogether!
Had an amazing experience. More than confident that the person helping me had a really in depth knowledge and was trying to hook me up rather than sell me things. The entire time he taught me things about buying that dont just apply to their store and that to me says they care. Lastly, the suit Im getting is going to make me look better than your favorite celebrity. A+
The guy who had to welcome us at the door was quite busy with his telephone... I was interested in an item and the sales employee offered me kindly his help. I told him I just wanted to take a look. He directly went to his colleague. Not sure but it seemed that he was talking about us, which isn’t a nice feeling. After trying an item nobody cared about it. Unfortunately the employees were too busy with looking in the mirror and talking with each other. Even though I wasn’t their best buying customer I was hoping for a bit more assistence and feeling welcome.
Very bad attitude from the staff (they are like certain waiters in posh restaurants who think they can look down on patrons). But worst than that my suit pants cracked open as I got in a taxi a month or so after buying it... luckily I had a long coat to hide that and avoid the public humiliation. Even more luckily this didn’t happen at an important time. This kind of things can properly ruin a career. Also, I am not fat (I am quite slim in fact) and the suit was correctly sized.A friend told me that the same thing happened to him with a suit supply suit at a party. So there is definitely something wrong with either the fabric they use, the quality of workmanship or both. My friend wasn’t happy with them either I can tell you that much.In short, if you don’t want to destroy your carrer and/or be publicly humiliated, never buy anything from them. Also, that will save you the interaction with their lousy sales.
SuitSupply claims high quality clothing is part of their repertoire but unfortunately their products come short of quality. The suit and pants I bought were nice, at first. After one wear, my pants started pilling, and when brought to the store, there was nothing they could do about it, except offer to put some fabric in the pants and try to clean it up a little. Of course pants pill easily, but it is absolutely unacceptable that it did so after one wear. This shows the lack of quality in their fabric. You can do much better for the price range. They have plenty of fits, a great thing, but when the fabric doesnt last, whats the point?
Fantastic quality and impressive look is what you get when you slip into one of Suitsupply clothing collections.Im not a suit guy, but I look downright sick when I put my suit on. Customer service is clearly a main part of their business model. As a customer, a significant portion of our sales satisfaction directly corresponds to the service we recieve from company employees. In the case of Suitsupply, my encounters were outstanding and comprehensive. I recieved great service from everyone on the floor. My suit, the Sienna, is stylish and attractive. A cut above most other suits you can find at retailers. I looked at (read: tried on over a dozen suits) the high end models at Macys, J. Crew, Banana Republic and they just couldnt match the value, and quality I found at Suitsupply. They arent cheap, and thats not a mistake. In this case, you do get what you paid for in the long run. They deserve this review.
Love this place. Great suits at a reasonable price and impeccable service too. The staff is amazing- friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Theyre trained to know exactly what to look for regarding fit. Great if youre a suit novice but youll find their analysis very rehearsed if you go there multiple times .
I needed a tux for a wedding and explained to the guy how urgent it was to have alterations completed before a specific date. He promised 3 days for them to ship it to the store from the date of purchase, 7 days later no call back or word from anyone at the store. I went in that morning after the seventh day. Spoke to someone and she couldnt find it in the system. So she goes to the back and then my Tux appears. Now I have 7 days before the wedding and a Tux that needs tons of alterations, I didnt trust them with altering it because of the lack of follow through. So I went to my guy onSullivan street. He took a look at the suit and it needed $317 of work!!! Im 510 and pretty solid, the suit they ordered for me was 44 short. The jacket was long and the pants was made for a fat man! I didnt like that it was extremely large and required tons of work. That same day I needed a shirt and the guy left me in the changing room alone! So I didnt know what to do but just took it off and bought it anyway. After spending $963, I regret shopping here and I was disappointed at customer service. Four people in the store and the only customer in the shop and it took half an hour to pick up a suit and buy a shirt! Only the second time I went in they offered me water in a plastic cup when the first time I was there, other customers were receiving bottled water. Granted I was dressed down but I spent the money and just wanted a good Tux. I dont recommend this store and with more made to order suit shops around $1000 only get you a Tux with no alterations and the people arent friendly. The manager kept contacting me because I filled out this anonymous customer service survey. He proceeded to contact me numerous times after I expressed to him via email he wanted to speak in person. That survey isnt anonymous and they have all your records after you fill it out. So dont fill it out when they send you an email. I worked and went to school in SoHo for over 9 years and Ive never been treated so poorly in my life!!!! Never again.
Overall, this is a really neat store. There is a lot to choose from, and the environment captures your attention. As a former manager for a SoHo luxury retail shop, there are some things I could knit-pick but overall when the shop is not busy I am sure the service is a bit better. I would take off one-star for the quality of shirts; they appeared to be more made for trying on a suit than actually purchasing.
This location has gone down in its quality re: customer service over the years. I’ve been here shopping not just for myself, but also for friends and clients weddings. I’ve been a patron of this Suitsupply location so long that not only have I seen turnover of great sales associates that made the process worthwhile. But some of those married in a Suitsupply Tuxedo Package are now divorcee’s.Poor and or rude/ ill-thought communication from associates who don’t know you. Heavy turnover of associates you like and build a working relationship with. I’ve done MTM and Off the Rack so I’ve seen many come and go. Be prepared to order from one associate describe to them your intimate wedding details and bride/groom dynamics and be left in the dark when they leave and have to painstakingly start from scratch mid process.Save yourself the hassle of being in limbo for a major life event. I diverted my business to Williamsburg location and that’s just to place a telephone order of 4K in suiting.
Worth a 40 minute subway ride.As someone that has to wear suits every day for work, the most daunting task is finding suits that are well made that wont break the bank. You will not find a better suit at the price points Suitsupply offers. These suits are stylish and crafted at levels that command 3x the price. The Suitsupply staff are very service oriented and will help you every step of the way, all the way down to the tailoring. Which lets face it, no suit no matter the price, will fit you as well as one that has been tailored for you. So whether you are looking for one suit or a closet full I recommend you go visit Suitsupply. You wont be disappointed.
Great staff, and really beautifully tailored suits that look and feel luxury but without the luxury designer price tag. Nicholas Ramirez was particularly helpful in helping me find what i needed and making sure it ended up fitting perfectly.Would go back i a heartbeat next time I need to look dapper!
Shaimaa helped me with my fitting for a new tuxedo and she was perfect. I’m not the easiest customer to work with, but she was patient and assisted me throughout the entire process. She knew exactly what needed to be tailored. I highly suggest coming here for your next tuxedo/suit and asking for her.
This is a great place to get a suit hands down. The staff are extra knowledgeable, and will help you get the suit you want that within your price range.I was very impressed with the service you get here as well as the selection. The store has all the cuts and styles you would expect to find at an upscale store but with more reasonable prices beleive me.I will definately get my next suit from Suitsupply for sure.
This is a review of your Chicago location on Rush Street (for which I could not locate a Google + page). A cool store with fashion forward styles doesnt make up for service that isnt accommodating. A sales person talked me into the shirts he had in stock rather than shirts that were the best fit me. He also told he was turning in his resignation later that day to work at the Ralph Lauren store on Michigan Ave and that I should come see him there. Later, I learned there is a Suitsupply shirt with a slightly more generous fit -- which would be ideal for me. When I contacted the web address for customer service I was about 33 days outside the return period. About a week later a sales person from the Chicago store called me. He acted with great importance as thought he was doing me a huge favor by offering a moderate discount if I buy more shirts in the right fit. So, although I read about this store in Esquire or GQ (I forget which), I recommend only buying from Suitsupply if you are sure you wont change your mind later. My two ill fitting Suitsupply shirts will go up for sale on eBay. Apparently Suitsupply doesnt feel a need to stand behind sales people who talk customers into poor purchase decisions.
I read a review by another African American so I was a bit hesitant to visit this location (I really needed a suit for a New Years party).on Dec 30th, I walked in, each rep was busy with a customer.its important to note, that the customers and staff are almost indistinguishable which led me to wonder who was working and who was a customer. This period of confusion allowed my mind to wander as i waited for someone to *recognize me. Instead i continued to browse alone until A guy that i could only describe as not a front of the house employee asked me if anyone helped, I told him about what I wanted and he said that he would get a sales rep for me. I declined, I saw what i needed to see (the suits).Dec 31st I arrive around 11am. I was probably one of two customers, And was greeted by the staff immediately. This particular experience was the opposite of the day before, wherein my rep really went out of his way to find the right fits, explain the different sizes/cuts/colors/fabrics...etc.I was quite surprised.. for a place with $500 suits, they really made me feel like I was buying a $5000 suit. Then i began to understand why nobody really rushed to help me the first day as I was being helped on my second visit, I could see other shoppers arriving and wandering around confused waiting to be guided by the staff.Im giving 4 stars.. because thier customer service model needs work. While they make you feel like a million bucks when they are actually helping you, they tend to miss, or outright ignore new people walking in. So, they should at least focus on at least verbally greeting people as they walk in.. to let them know that someone will be with them.5 stars when they improve that,Ill definitely be back within a week to get a more business friendly suit. (the first on was really cocktail/casual)
Go to the Suitsupply in Midtown. Tried the SoHo location today and I was there for around 30-40minutes and no one was available to assist my brother and I. No one offered to help us, and all of the people we asked claimed to be pre-occupied. We ended up just leaving and going straight to the midtown Suitsupply. It was very disappointing.
Just returned from suitsupply soho. i walked a stressed mess. needing an ensemble for my daughters wedding. graham lewis to the rescue. even after me being stressed, he was able to assist me into a custom blazer and slacks. he initially helped me into the correct size from the rack. then we moved forward. by the time i left i was happy again and wedding clothes stress was magically gone.suitsupply soho, see graham lewis. hes only there on saturdays, but its worth the wait. impeccable service!!! thanks graham
Not sure about the quality of their products because the short blond who was helping us was worthless. Didnt pay attention to us and couldnt care less if we had questions or concerns. Also was high and mighty when it came to what the right fit was. She kept saying shes been doing this a long time and knows whats best. Pretty sure its what the user wants not what you like. Oh well. Prices were pretty good at least. Maybe thats why they have second rate service.
Let me preface by saying I am by no means a sketchy or dirty/poor looking individual and in fact went in here in search of one of their higher end (and higher price point) suits.First, I was actually told I was not allowed on the lower level of the store after a brash employee gave me a look up and down (I came in wearing a casual outfit so I’m assuming I didn’t look like I had enough money). When I went upstairs, as directed, it was all of the lower price point suits.I then proceeded to wait around for more than a half an hour without someone so much as greeting me. It was almost empty in the store and there were more than enough associates to at least let me know someone would be right with me. Nope. Nothing. Every person I walked up to avoided eye contact and proceeded to try and look busy if not blatantly walk away from me. They actually acted like I was invisible. On my way out still no one acknowledged my existence. It’s their loss, I was shopping for a higher end suit for business meetings with prospective clients of my business (of which I am the CEO) and because of their awful mannered employees and visual judgements Suitsupply has lost my and other partners of my firm’s business for life.
Out on the hunt for a new suit, the lady and I decided to make this our first stop, assuming wed hopefully have to look no further. While a wide selection at first seemed promising, after well more than 20 minutes of browsing, without even a passing offer of service, we left to go get me suited up elsewhere. I was willing to chalk this up to an untrained, inattentive sales staff at a value retailer; now, looking at the other reviews heaping praise on the level and quality of service offered here, I can only assume some kind of profiling. Is it a black thing? A long hair thing? An age thing? Pick one, or all, or none, It doesnt really matter because it all boils down to one thing; TERRIBLE customer service.
I hate shopping, especially for clothes. Suitsupply makes the whole process great. They only do really nice menswear so you dont get bogged down looking at anything else. The sales staff are all pros. Since the NYC store opened, Joe has sold me two suits, a tux, wool overcoat and now a pair of dress shoes. One thing that sets Suitsupply salespeople apart is their professionalism. Joe sells on commission but he steered me away from a pricier item that didnt meet my unstated criteria. By forgoing a quick buck, he knows Ill come back and buy from Suitsupply again. In terms of the clothing quality, just read the Wall Street Journal article about them or see it for yourself in person.
Its unfortunate, like so many other reviews...the attitude is atrocious. The tall blonde nazi-looking sales associate looked at my outfit and rolled his eyes. Okay, I came from the gym. When I then asked for the pocket squares he pointed and walked away. I just spent $1000 in your store. They dont pay me to walk into Suit Supply decked out in their wardrobe. Lose the attitude, dude. Youre in retail. Save it for the catwalk.
I had a pretty bad experience here. Staff seemed pretty hesitant to help me and disengaged when asked questions. They seemed pretty eager to help another customer that arrived after me, though. I guess thats where the good reviews come from. Ended up shopping elsewhere.
Im about 30 lbs overweight on a 61 frame, so, I could definitely use to lose some weight but am not enormous. Outside of their custom tailoring program, the store had nothing that would even fit me. Those types of situations are always delicate, and the reaction of the staff made me feel embarrassed. So, if youre in great shape, this might be a fine store, but if youre not, definitely avoid.
Shockingly poor quality. After *one* night of wear, the bottom of the tux shoes looked as pictured. Then on the *second* night of wear, my tuxedo jackets button fell off. Really disappointed. Tuxedo looks good and service was fine, just wish it would hold together for more than a couple of days.

2022-05-24I would highly recommend asking for Steven, I had an appointment booked with him in advance for custom suits - fitting and choosing styles. I cannot say this more, he went above and beyond. I was there with two kids, and had to rush for a meeting and he was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. His experience with tailoring and styles etc clearly showed which made me feel very comfortable with his advise and choosing suits. We had to leave early and he even continued to send me options and make changes after I left and clearly did whatever it took to finish everything and make me feel comfortable. I will definitely be coming back in the future to Steven and would highly recommend booking with him - even if you have to wait for an appointment.

2022-02-11If you set up an appointment, definitely request Steven. I got lucky walking in to be paired up with Steven, and he knew his stuff. He knew exactly how to identify the best fit for my awkward size, and we found an incredible look that we were able to style from suit to linen shirt, pocket square, tie, etc. He quickly addressed all my concerns and insecurities by grounding me in what constitutes a good fit, and then he had the suit tailored perfectly.I was fortunate to find a great fitting suit off the rack and with included alterations, I had my suit within a day - perfect turnaround for a same week wedding event. I had such a great experience that Im also looking forward to doing a custom suit/wardrobe with Suitsupply in the future.Regardless of your price point, Suitsupply has an incredible range of options, but more importantly, they have great people to help you find what works best for you. Steven was a great advocate for my style while balancing it with his great fashion sense/skills.Everyone at the location was super accommodating and made sure youre taken care of while you wait and browse - they always offer drinks and have comfortable seating for anyone that may come with you.Overall, such a great experience and look forward to going back. Reminder to ask for Steven!

2021-11-27Definitely the best Suitsupply location in my opinion. Beats Amsterdam by a mile with their complimentary rooftop bar. We were able to get a suit, and get it tailored with a 2 hour turnaround for a wedding that evening. We enjoyed a bottle of champagne in the sun as it was being tailored overlooking Soho. The staff is honest, fun and experts.

2022-01-27Had an absolutely fantastic experience with Steven! I visited the store with my fiancee on a busy Saturday to look for a suit for our upcoming summer wedding. I didnt have a specific vision nor was I particularly excited about suit shopping. Steven made the experience very fun - he took the time to get to know us and to get an understanding of our vision for our wedding. He then suggested an incredible and fun summer suit that I loved. Finally, he was really great at working with me to get the fit / alterations just right. Thanks, Steven!

2022-05-08Steven was incredible! I went in for my wedding tuxedo and rehearsal dinner suit. After researching tailors and boutiques that offer custom formal wear I ended up at Suit Supply. I booked with Steven after reading such amazing reviews and he did not disappoint. He gave knowledgable and honest guidance the whole time. I plan to buy my suits from Suit Supply and Steven moving forward.

2022-02-14We had the incredible pleasure of working with Steven and it was hands down the best customer service we have experienced in the city! My fiancé and I came in with a specific vision of wanting something unique for his custom Tux for our summer wedding. Our ideas were a little all over the place but Steven completely understood what we were going for and helped us bring it to life in an elegant and polished way. He made the whole experience so fun the time absolutely flew by! He struck the right balance of really listening to what we wanted and also offering some incredible professional advice when we needed a little direction. We are thrilled that we chose Suitsupply for his custom Tux and feel so lucky we were paired with an absolute gem to make the experience truly memorable. We will definitely be back here and will be telling all our friends to come to Broome street and work with Steven for the best experience!

2022-03-25Went to get a suit for my wedding. The suit is great, the tailor, Art, was super knowledgeable and helpful. Reasonable price for a nice product. 5/5 in that respect. However, I called a day or two pre-appointment to confirm they were accessible to my father, recovering from knee surgery. They assured me there was a manual elevator, we just needed to let them know when we arrived and theyd bring it down.We showed up today and they said, sorry its out of service and told my dad hed just have to climb 3 huge, steep flights of stairs. It was a painful experience for him and all of us on what should have been a joyous day. When we arrived upstairs they were using the elevator to load product. They lied about the elevator and whoever did that should be fired, flat out. They should also be ashamed of themselves.
