They have a good variety of items and they taste good. The service was outstanding and got foods served quicker than expected. Must try item is the kacchi platter. Comes with mutton biriyani(specially cooked),a chicken roast and dessert. The only thing I felt that they are kinda over-priced compared to the amount of serving.Overall a good deal.
Even though staff are really good and helpful their food does not taste that good. We ordered Tandoori chicken, Butter chicken and Mixed Vegetable. The tandoori chicken didn’t have enough salt and the butter chicken did not taste like butter chicken at all. I’d definitely want them to improve on that.
This restaurant is great and very well maintained. the reason why i gave it 3 stars is because the curries and rice dishes are good (meat can be dry sometimes) but I got afghan food once and the kababs were burnt and stale. i also got a thali and when you dine in, you get a proper thali but delivery, you get the same curry in three different containers. quite disappointing really and false advertising.
Me and my sister picked up food on Feb 19th morning. Food and service were Very disappointing. First, the guy at the front desk is a theif. 3 kacchi and 1 chicken 65. Total is 55. He charged $65. I called him when I realized. He denied. Their camera will confirm it. Kacchi probably was few days old. Meat and rice was very dry. Chicken 65 was very sour. Does not look like they have any professional chef. One small pack of salad. No borhani includes as before. Extremely bad experience. This resturent will be out of business soon if they keep doing the same.
Best kacchi and beef biriyani in newyork city. The real and perfect test in every food. Its really mindblowing experience.Price not too high. Employee real friendly also the manager really good person.Borhani awesome.Mango lacci wow. Sweets really good . and there decoration classic the light totally different . They have the outdoor dining also. I love that. Thanks sultan Dine 👌
If you passionate about food, you should go there. Perfect Menu, awesome service. mind of professionalism. something for everyone. Those, with no prior reservation, are welcomed to wait in the lounge with comfortable dining. Big space, fantastic lighting, variation of sit.Basically available here South Asia region food. Such as Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Afghanistani. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering food. Specially designed for youngsters and adults too.All dishes are fresh and refreshing. The chefs gave a home-made feeling using the best quality ingredients. The restaurant also offers various types of drinks and desserts. The service is very high quality. Owner is full of warmth and thoughtful of his guests. He is always around ready to hear all types of experiences from you and the rest of the guests.Brilliant atmosphere and delicious food with mind blowing smell and warmth hospitality. I highly recommend going to the Sultan dine restaurant. If you go, youll have to return soon.
The food pictures & decoration what ever they giving online actually the taste & quality of the food is not matching. Customer service is very bad, couples of time I told them to give me napkins & they only give 1 or 2 pieces but we was there 8 person. I ordered $80 dollars food but they forgot 2 items, when I told them they say they giving now they forgot!. This is not a good restaurant to go with your family. They dont care about the customer. Never & ever will be there again.
Well the person who was taking order was smelling alcohol while talking. Didn’t ask for his name. Thought food will be good. Chicken from the so called “Shahi roast” had a old oil smell in it. And kacchi was goat meat with polao with some fragrance in it. Borhani was extremely sweet. Overly priced compared to other restaurants here in the city. Today was my first time there, and definitely the last..
This was my second try as I heard about this place so much! My first to go experience wasnt up to the mark but my 2nd visit just blew my mind. We tried Kacchi Biriyani, chicken roast and Tikka. Food was as fresh as home cooked food. It was a magical experience in mouth where I didnt even realize when I have finished the meal. Definitely coming back with the gang. Babu Bhai the owner is an excellent host.
I am living in USA for last 11 years And Sultan’s dine foods were One of my worst Experience. I did place a order which cost me $400 for a catering ( kacchi, Jali kabab, roast , and Shik Kabab) . Kacchi and Jali kabab taste horrible. Too spicy , blend taste , no flavor.....You cannot eat the kacchi at all after four spoon because of the spiciness. Kacchi meat was burnt completely .please stay away from this place.I requested them several times to make sure my food MUST need to be completely On less in spicy side but they ignored my request. All my guests were white Americans therefore they could not have that food at all and it’s so so embarrassing. I don’t need their refund because they just spoiled my party and nothing will Compensated that.
Ordered kacchi from here and it was utterly disgusting and disappointing. I am not bengali but i am a regular kacchi biryani eater and the biryani they serve is white rice and beef curry and potatoes which was extremely bland and i felt like throwing up afterwards definitely not recommended and wont ever try again
The past reviews really threw us off.We went here, booked last minute for 9 people and they were able to accommodate us right away. The food came in cooked really well and the dishes were sizzling creating the right aroma. The prices are great compared to the portions and the food wasnt overwhelmingly spicy, it was just right. The naans were really good/fluffy, the lamb chops & dun goat biryani was really good. It was decent with the flavors and made fresh right on the spot. Thanks to the staff & their service!
So far 3 times people who works in the cash counter noted wrong order.. they need to listen carefully and record the order! Food is good but prices are ridiculously high and wrong orders cost me extra money i.e. paid for 3 kebabs but got 1 only and 1 time paid for the Borhani but it wasnt in the bag smh. Check reviews below, they all are similar
The restaurant is Bengali owned and has Begali servers. The interior is nice for a biryani restaurant and the food is average in terms of taste. Most people go there for Kachhi biryani (goat meat). It is less oily which is good and has two pieces of potato (cut in half) and two small pieces of goat meat. The meat is very juicy and tears off nicely which is very well done! The biryani overall is excellent. The Palak Paneer however is way too oily although it tasted good.
Let me tell you why am I giving one star, this is what they deserve, I mean they deserve 0 star.First of all they didn’t give us water, not even one time cups. In bengali restaurant you gotta buy water bottle seperately, seriously!!Then we ordered one chana masala, 4 garlic nan, 2 plain nan and beef & chicken tikka,But they give us 6 garlic nan, no plain nan,And chicken tikka plate is so small, not even one person can eat. (Picture attached), they charged $11.99 for this. And beef & chicken tikka not even a plate.I’m providing pictures of all of this. Not recommending at all.And we paid $35 for all these foods. If you see others people’s review, you’ll know all are fake. Don’t waste your money. Never come here.
Bought gulab jamun from here one night and when I got back to my home I saw that there was mold/mildew on the sweets. It’s incredibly dirty and they need to have better quality checks. Someone could’ve eaten this and gotten terribly sick. Will not be eating here ever again. Simply disgusting.
Their Kacchi Biryani was good as far as taste, but the portion for the price was too little. The meat in kacchi biryani was no where to be found but mostly bones. Also, their Shahi chicken Roast was a Downer. The chicken roast tasted like they were either too old frozen chicken, which was just reheated to serve. Borhani was another bummer, way too sweet for a Borhani.
I was in sultan dines in the mornig short height women from the kitchen continuesly yelling on cashier. That cashier has no fault without any reason he has to listen those rude words from that women. This is not good. I asked that boy where is the owner he said at home. Owner should take care of this things. Owner should take care about management.
I ordered kacchi and borhani through uber eats. I must say the biryani had a very unpleasant smell and taste. It was loaded with rose and kewra essence. Plus they didn’t send borhani with the order. Price of the biryani is definitely not worth it. Please improve your service and the taste of food. Thanks.

I myself with my family went to sultans dine for having food. It was amazing experience we tried kacchi out their believe me that was most tasty food we have ever tried in our entire life and my father tried roast Shahi polaw which is also good I recommend everyone to have a visit in sultan dines
Over priced, not enough ingredients, poor customer service( ordered 2 platters , and some cookies, they forgot to put cookies and forks, I checked the bag realized they forgot to put cookies, I asked for forks also , they put it in the bag, came back to the hotel guess what they put only one fork( so cheap!) we don’t eat by hands in America ! And it took over 50 minutes my order get ready, the Resturant was empty now I know why Resturant go out of business
They used to have the best kacchi biryani but quality has gone down recently. Now its very dry and so so. Got the kala bhuna as well which was not really how it is supposed to be prepared and a bit bland and watery. Most important the dish has more fat than meat. Very disappointed.
Food is extremely over priced for this type of restaurant, the chef has changed multiple amount of times. Astagfirullah to their KACHI BIRYANI! It had the strong smell of rose water that I could barely take another bite after my first bite. Paid 17$ for trash basically.I also ordered a TIKKA SALAD costed me 11$ unbelievable, there was rarely any protein in it. With over seasoned tikka was overly salted chicken. The person preparing the meal has to be aware of what they are making . I can get a better salad for 5.99$ in MANHATTAN. OWNER needs to be improving the food QUALITY if hes going to be charging $$$ money on food.
I heard alot about kachhi so I took some for my family..but unfortunately rice in the Biryani was so hard ...basmati...so tho the meat tasted like kachhi.. rice made it taste like normal rice and meat...not even close to wht I was expecting....I felt little embarrassed !! I suggest improve the rice .....sorry not authentic at all!!
Kacchi biryani is one of the best item comparing other Bangali restaurants. without testing their kacchi biriyani you can compare. lamb kabab is also good. I like their chicken kabab. chicken biryani batter than others. food quality and quantity good enough for a person. all staff are very good and helpful, they can help you with food selection.they deserve five stars comparing others. I saw some bad comments from the customer. Its very disappointing. I requesting them to go again and test their food. Its 100 times better than others.
I ordered kachhi biryani for 10 people but the portion was so little it barely fed 6 people. Food was quite stale and nothing was really great about it. These reviews are not real or maybe fabricated. Highly disappointed and never going back.Message to owner: I am unable to respond to your message. I ordered around 4:40 ish on 2/19 and waited in store. I also ordered a tea.
Alhamdulillah had a wonderful late night dinner there. Truly amazing taste reminded us authentic Bangladeshi flavor. People who love good food with premium quality, should definitely like this place. We’d love to explore their rest of the menu In-sha-Allah! Thanks for awesome foods and great hospitality :)
Great experience especially during this pandemic. My sister and I went out for Valentine’s Day, was absolutely wonderful. A calming and quiet mood, with some nice music. Food was delicious! Hot lamb brought straight on the pan, and the lamb tikka masala was amazing. Plus, the prices are affordable and definitely worth it!
My first order with Sultan Dine was not up to expectations however, the owner took the Initiative and gave us a new order which was amazing. I highly recommend shahi chicken roast! It tasted amazing!!! The bihari kabab is really good, reminds me of Bangladesh. Try it!
What can I say about this place !! What a absolute GEM!! I think the chef must be a ‘Baburchi’ from old Dhaka. The food was absolute authentic wedding food from Bangladesh. We tried the shahi roast , kacchi Biriyani and kala bhuna. It was very rich, delicious and generous portions. We actually were able to take food home . This place is clean and interior decor is better than other bangladeshi places. 5/5 will come again every time I’m visiting NYC. Bonus is amazing playlist of 90-2000s hit songs mashup .
I used to like this place but recently it has gone downhill. I placed an order for pick up and upon arriving I was totally ignored . I was told it would be about five min and I waited patienly..after about 30 min and without even communicating why it was taking so long I received my food. Their customer service really stinks. I was putting up with it because the food was good but Ive had enough...I will take my business somewhere else
After reading too many reviews I went to Sultans Dine. Such a horrible place. I ordered mango lassi it was stinky and test was so sour like yogurt or other ingredient they use was completely rotten the biriany I ordered was stale. Now I know how they got some good review the employees and the owners do these review. Please do not go there it is totally waste of money. If you do not listen to me means you like to waste the money.Restaurant owner please if your place is scam do the scam in different way. I do not see any difference between the credit card scam and your restaurant scam.
Sorry to say not a best place to visit. This evening we order Goat Korma,& Kachi beriani with Naan.Korma was full of sweet(sugar),Green chatni was full of sweet taste, the meat inside Kachi beriani was black ⚫Tasteless food ,smell from rice .we complained with the lady over the counter but she was speech lessI remember couple of years ago this was the best place but now its worst .Bad experience.
So me and my bro’s decided to support local business as the pandemic hit everyone hard. Ordered two biryani (kachii biryani and chicken tikka biryani) and two curries (shrimp vindaloo and beef renzal). One of the bro did not even eat the Kachhi biryani (5/10) because of the way it looked. The meat egg and potato looked super dry and the rice looked very oily. The tikka biryani (6/10) was good but had cluster of spice state in certain part and rest wasn’t mixed well. The vindaloo (7/10) was very tangy (had better vindaloo). And the other beef dish (7/10) was just plain beef curry. But the description made it sound very authentic. One of the curry came with naan but the other curry didn’t come with any bread or rice. Had to order white rice. We ordered aloo parata with green chili (9/10). The quantity and price don’t go well. But I know desi food is expensive. I had the kachii biryani before the pandemic and it was 9/10... not sure what happened this time around. One of the bro went to check out the sweets and he said the yogurt had molding buildup and it’s still displayed. I hope the management should take their covid guide seriously, for example was checked for temp when entering but never asked to take our info, I even asked to give my info but the guy refused cuz he was carried away in the clouds. Visited the place October 11th 2020.
Heard a lot about this place but they failed or copy the original Sultan. Ordered Kacchi biryani and Misti to go all the way from Woodside, but boy it was a true disappointment. They put too much rose or kawra jaal, smelled like cooked rose flower. Borhani was too sweet and white chomchom was very hard inside. First and last time, never again.
4.5 stars but leaning toward 5Ordered a ton of food from here (via google/postmates): lamb vindaloo was spicy and excellent, chicken 65 was also really good (but not spicy enough in our opinion, ha), the Muglai paratha was tasty but a bit doughier than I prefer, the chicken tikka biryani was alright, as was the chicken and lamb skewers. Oh and I must mention: there was a yogurt side that came with the whole feast, something like raita, for dipping naan or mixing with rice. It was fantastic! I wish we had gotten more of that. The order was supposed to be done in 30 minutes but took 45 - not a big deal! Good food takes time, and food was indeed good. The guy we picked it up from was quite cordial and friendly. Definitely looking forward to ordering from here again one day.
Yaasss for Sultans Dine. I was there for the first time during the second snowstorm of this nonsense year. The cashier insisted on ordering the kacchi, or, as they have it on their menu, Dum Mutton Biriyani. I was skeptical and now Im a convert. The kacchi has proper amount of meat, spices and the bokhara or the spicy pickle that authentic Kacchi biryani has. This place did not skimp on making their signature dish. I am pleased. Their green sauce is the real deal. Its not the watered down version most places have. Their naan is soft and pillowy. Now I am just hoping they dont change the recipes
It’s definitely not a dine-in spot. They lack any hospitality that comes with a sit down restaurant. There’s also a language barrier if you’re unsure about an item and want to know more about it. The food is ok; I’ve personally had better around the area. Butter chicken was good but the meat was thinly cut and small portion for the price in comparison to other local spots. The vindaloo was all potato and minimal meat again; the taste was good. Samosa Chat was ok but the yogurt sauce had a smell as if it was about to go bad( a try. Off) place is clean. However the can sodas are dirty on top and you don’t get a cup to pour it in. No water is offered. Definitely won’t be back.
Khaled sultan owner of this place ,,, it was really nice to meet you bro . Your guys are really amazing. Food was fantastic all of my family members like it . You already got next cupel of our family gathering. Hope your quality will not be compromised. Wish you very good luck .
Food was ok. As far as regular Bengali food goes it was average and the price was expensive. The only problem is they stole the name of one of the greatest biriyani places of Bangladesh. I contacted the original Sultans Dine in Bangladesh after I ate here and saw the menu. Original owner confirmed me that they dont have any branch in NYC.So please, if you want food, this place is ok. But if you want the great Biriyani of Sultans Dine, this place is literally A JOKE!
Hello to all. Unfortunately this place isnt very respectful to people and their fasting. I ordered a paneer tikka masala. Once we got home, we realized they MIXED lamb meat AND PANEER! THEY MIXED MEAT WITH PANEER WHEN THEY KNEW I WAS FASTING FOR MY DIWALI HOLIDAY! As I was eating I noticed their was a bone in what was suppose to be my vegan paneer curry. The bone looked like a lamb bone. they made me break my fasting. Now I proceed to called and they did absolutely nothing! nothing!!!! They did nothing to my issue. The man at the restaurant proceed to say tell me what you want me to do first of all you as a restaurant supoose to be much more nicer and help the customer. Not only you lose one customer but you lost a customer and a family! Now my family will let others know how horrible this establishment is. They had no sense of respect to say sorry or to even bother to work with us. Thank you for ruining your own business :)
Been here like a year or 2 ago it was actually very good had chicken Tikka Masasla and a bunch of things like Naan and stuff was good service than when we dined indoor was good very friendly, Also recently went for halieem if you know what that it for nyc it was actually pretty good, I would recommend this place!
Was working on a job in the area and found this gem.Loved this new restaurant. Was very impressed by clean modern dining area.Vegetable samosas are one of the best in the city. Also, really enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala and fresh Naan.Another bonus it is easy to pickup takeout by car with bus stop outside.
Food was horrible. Kacchi biryani tasted really bad. Couldnt even tell if it was even a biryani! Thai soup was made really spicy. When does thai soup ever was made with naga morich ?!?! Couldnt even finish it. And it didnt even taste like thai soup. Worst restaurant ever. Sorry either change your chef or change the menu. Needs improvement in the food.
Ordered on Grubhub and they sent the wrong order . Spoke to Tamim and he refused to help me resolve the error. Grub hub is only responsible for delivering my food not for preparing it. Last time ordering here. Horrible customer service. They literally make it seem like you’re lying.
The Best Kacchi Biriyani in USA. I had tried Kacchi Biriyani in so many places but got disappointed every time. When I heard about Sultines Dine, I thought it would be the same like others. We went there to have iftar this year and took Iftar box and Kacchi Biriyani. When I had Kacchi I got the real taste of Bangladeshi Kacchi which I everywhere in USA. The smell and taste was really amazing and I recommend all of my friends to taste this kacchi once. The people who missed the Bangladeshi Flavor kacchi in USA should go there. Their iftar box was also amazing specially the kabab item. They gave Tehari inside the iftar box. I didn’t get proper taste because it was cold. Overall service and food quality is really appreciative.
We enjoy eating out. Yesterday we came to this excellent restaurant which friends told us about. We spent a beautiful time there with very good food and a well-trained crew and a great chief cook. We put this venue in our list and we will certainly come back soon. We highly recommend.
I actually randomly stumbled upon this what seems to be family owned halal spot. What a pleasant surprise it was. Their tikka masala, naan and chicken patty were extremely fresh and warm. The tikka masala in particular was creamy, thick and filled with moist chicken pieces. The restaurant was also very clean and modern inside. I definitely am recommending this to anyone looking for a change of pace. I will be coming back. Thats a promise.
Basically I live in Washington DC and i travel to NY alot this was the very first time i tried a very delicious and clean food in this neighborhood, the environment was so neat and teddy, the staff were so friendly and nice with a warm welcome and beautiful music l, the food was made fresh you can literally tell by the taste. Although i am a chef too and i have my own YouTube cooking channel by the name “ Barak’s Kitchen” and i loved their presentation and freshness
Awesome food and great service. Best staff. Kachi biriyani, chicken lollipop, kadai chicken and goat korma is the best. So far this item I took and taste awesome. Looking forward to have chicken roast polao and chicken 65 biriyani . Best place to have launch and dinner with friends and family. @RAJ
Sultan is the man ! I always order the chicken tikka masala, the one time I was unsatisfied, I called in regards to my food discrepancies, sultan didn’t waste anytime in replacing my order and was fully apologetic and hooked me up. Amazing food and service ! I would super highly recommend!
I was very much looking forward to try this new restaurant in my neighborhood but was extremely disappointed by the food. The customer service will get 0 from me. There wasn’t even water for customers in the front. The kebabs tasted burnt and the naan was too hard to even chew. I personally wanted to speak with the front desk guy but he was too rude to even hear my suggestions. Please find a different restaurant especially if you want to go with your family. Thank you.
Too expinsiveTook 35 min for a plate of dry rice biryani garbage cant even eat it because its too chilliWith no caution how spicy it isHe said 10 minutesIt took 35 minutesTbe boss is rudeThe cashier zero knowledge of what he is doingNo onr cares about your fancy smanzy colors and mirrorsYou need a cookThank you
Very nice & gorgeous decor, food test also good, service great, great for family or friends dine, available meter parking in front of restaurant (Bangladeshi Restaurent brother of “Boishaki Restaurent”) overall it’s great, This is one of best & well known restaurant of this area. The food quality of this restaurant is very good. All the stuff of this resturant is very good, Thanks.
Sorry had to change my review , the first time I ate there , the quality of the biriyani was top notch it was mouth watering tasty , and I recommend to my friends and family , one of my relative catered it to their home as per my recommendation and they literally puked , true biriyani lovers and those who actually had real kacchi in their life , they’ll know what I’m talking about .
I ate in this restaurant with my family but looking at their service it seemed that they are unprofessional and uncivilised restaurantwise but their food cost high and all their branches I ate they dont care the customer much so I dont think I will go anymore.good luck

2022-04-29I went to this place just for the name. Sultan’s dine is one of the most popular biriyani place of Bangladesh and they are famous for their Kachhi. I absolutely loved their Kachhi in Bangladesh, so when I saw this name I couldn’t stop myself from visiting the place. We ordered the kachhi and also I saw kala bhuna on the menu so took that. To be honest the kachhi was no where near to the one I had in Bangladesh. Also the kala bhuna was not good as well since it tasted kinda sweet. Growing up in Chittagong gave me the privilege to try the authentic kala bhuna and the one Sultan’s dine is offering is just an insult of the authentic kala bhuna.

2022-01-13Editing review: The previous foods were okay even though it were different each time, butI recently visited Sultan, and the guy working at the counter who was new kept asking for to pay him tips separately even before the order was ready and the order took a long time to arrive. I told him that I wanted nan with my order, but he said its not possible, but then they give it saying the person who took order is new. Just put all blame on the new guy. Previously, when complaining about food, they put blame on the new chef. Butter chicken looked like regular chicken curry and super oily.. Not their fault.. lol, never again.. done with Sultan..

2021-08-19I ordered kacchi biryani and beef tehari this week. The kacchi had too much rose water which tasted bitter to me. I was so disappointed because of the taste and I couldnt even eat more than 2 spoons of that kacchi. The beef tehari is not the best but far better than kacchi biryani. I wouldnt recommend the kacchi to anyone! The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. So overall experience was ok!

2021-09-13Today I went there and a lady was working. I ordered beef tehari and fish tikka. I told her many times to make sure that I would get fish tikka not the curry. She said she will make sure that I will get the tikka, not the curry. I waited almost 30 minutes. After that I got my orders and it was fish curry which I didn’t order. Also beef tehari was too much oily. Salad was not fresh and smelled bad. Actually it was my first time and I didn’t expect anything like that. Thank you :)

2021-07-13I heard a lot about their kachchi biryani. I really didnt like the rice at all at first due to rose water and kewra water taking over the main flavor of the kachchi. It was not until I mixed their awesome green sauce and the curry part of the kachchi with the rice that everything came out well. The mughlai porota was good and fresh. The tea was okay but not the best. I had ordered the beef haleem, chicken roast, and polao to go. The haleem was fine and the roast with polao was okay but once again not the best. The service was good until the owner left. The scarf lady in the front was literally on a video call with someone from Bangladesh. Yes, Im this detailed since I saw it while I did my best to get her attention. Another customer was getting annoyed since she wasnt prioritizing him and I was getting upset since she was too occupied with the call instead of taking my to go orders properly. The owner should seriously consider looking into the recordings when shes around.

2022-05-02Iftar box was great. Also beef tehari taste really good.
