My husband and I visited this dealer today with every intent of purchasing a 2022 GMC YUKON SLT (the only one they had available in the color we were seeking) and their offer included an additional $7000 to the sticker price of the vehicle as their response was due to lack of new cars available 😂, yet their sales price posted online did NOT INCLUDE the extra fee. Ridiculous. You would think they would have wanted a full sale! Do not recommend.
Justin was my salesman. Let me just say, what a fantastic gentleman. He got me in a truck and took my previous lease over with no issue. He’s easy going, no pressure and it was more than pleasurable experience. I’d recommend this gentleman to my own family.Update. First service on my truck. Still great! In and out under an hour. Nice clean comfortable lounge with complimentary coffee and phone chargers. Can’t ask for more than that.
From the minute I walked in all employees were extremely helpful and polite. Treated very nice by all sales people and eager to help without being pushy. This is the second time i will be leasing a GMC so hopefully next three years work out well. We were in a few different dealerships and this was the only one that worked with us on Price and what we were looking for. Extremely professional and the sales person we worked with, Mathew was great. Treated my wife with the utmost respect and helped us by showing us all the new features.Very Classy dealership.
My car is a 2005 LaCrosse. The drivers door handle broke. I was apprehensive that they would have a replacement handle because the car is 16 years old. I called the Sun service dept. and spoke to Bob McKenna & explained my problem. He said bring it in & let us look at it to see what is broken. We arrived about 11:00 am, they took the car in. At 11:59 Bob let us know they could order a new handle & it would be arriving at 3:00 pm. Then they would install it. We went to a local diner & had a leisurely lunch and returned to the waiting room. By 3:00 pm Bob notified us the job was done. The part arrived a little earlier than expected so the job was completed and we were on our way home again. Thanks to Bob McKenna for his prompt attention to resolving our problem and to the mechanics who did a fine job. We are always satisfied with our treatment at Sun Buick.
This is my third leased car through Sun Auto Group, and let me say, the third ones the charm! Though all were good experiences, Rocky Dentici helped to make this one the best. He is a pleasant (and funny) salesperson, very knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous too. He answered all our questions, gave us some good advice, and made leasing this car easy, quick and painless. We also dealt with Joe Gillespie, and again, were very happy with how he treated us, the advice he offered and friendly manner in which he did his job. An all-around a positive experience at Sun Auto Group.
I was at the service department for two warranty issues. I received a warm welcome from my service advisor Bob McKenna and the service manager Mike Rosedale, as I always do. They recognized the problems as soon as I mentioned them and decided what needed to be done and took care of it. A few hours later the car was repaired and all issues resolved. The warm and friendly service I get keeps me coming back to Sun GMC. Thank you Patrick Cassino for hiring outstanding employees in both service and sales.
We had the best experience at Sun Buick GMC! The Sales Associate Tony who assisted us in our purchase was great, He was friendly, patient and very knowledgable about our GMC Denali and easy to work with, Tony explained everything in detail from beginning to end, He sat in the truck with us and went through the entire truck, explaining how everything worked in length. Sitting with Joe through the financing was also an easy process, He is very professional, with every question we had being answered and explained in full. The entire experience was great, from the receptionist who immediately asked if we would like a cup of coffee, water or snack and especially the owner Patrick who personally walked us to our sales associate with care and attention that we were taken care of. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone who is in search of a GMC. The final result was.....We drove away in a Beautiful Black GMC Sierra Denali, the 1st 2019 that the dealership sold!! Extremely satisfied with our experience!
To start off, they were extremely fast to get in touch, and the customer service there was absolutely excellent. My salesman was Tony smith who was extremely helpful and didn’t put any pressure on me during the experience at all, and the sales manager Kevin was awesome. My Chevy lease was coming to an end and GM Financial offered me the pull ahead service. Initially I attended attended Paul Conte Chevy in Freeport for a 2018 Silverado High Country. After sitting there for 45 minutes and getting absolutely nothing from there sales people I took a drive to SUN in Wantagh. Andrew greeted me very nicely and I made it clear to him, that I was not buying a car today, but am interested in leasing a Sierra 1500 SLT. He informed me that Denalis have better deals and much better incentives. I said lets price both! Andrew was fantastic to work with! Before leaving I said I will be back tomorrow with my dad. I kept him posted through out the day which he was thankful for that! I was working with in a tight budget and he and the sales manager did everything in their power to make it work so i could get the Denali. After 45 minutes of negotiation, we came to an agreement on price. We began the paper work process and left the deposit. That night my father and I went home and said wow a dealer that cares and puts their customer first. We planned to have the truck picked up that saturday! I was not expecting to have a full registration, I was expecting a temp. Boy was I shocked! that impressed me! That morning we finished the paper work, my dad left, and Andrew taught me all the options in the truck. As a 21 year old, I am not really big into technology, so he helped me for some time until I got the gist . I thanked him for everything and drove off feeling great. That night I returned to pay it forward, I greeted Andrew at his desk and handed him a card with a gift card to enjoy dinner with his family. Usually I would never do this, but i was so grateful for the service I was offered. This is my first truck with them and i will 100% be back!PS The new Yukon XL is HOT!THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!!
Although I always do my research before I think of getting a car mine has decided she doesnt plan to hang around much longer so Im scrambling a little. While visiting today on the referral of a friend I was a little nervous & expecting the usual pressure of typical salesmen.Nothing but patience, understanding, & honesty! Patrick, Mitch, & Russell are not typical; they took the time to go through the pros & cons of my situation while staying professional the entire time. Fantastic experience!
I called dealership because I had hit a large pot hole and my right rear tire was severely damaged. I had nursed my 2019 terrain home . The service department suggested to call roadside assistance to get the tire changed and bring the damaged tire to the dealership where I was met with a smile. They recommended I purchase a new tire which was promptly installed
I ordered a drop in bed liner for my Sierra through the parts department. They called me as soon as it arrived and I was able to get an appointment for installation the very next day. The service department had it installed in less than 30 minutes and even took care of a reprogramming recall on my radio that I didnt even know about. I couldnt be happier with the whole experience.
It’s was a pleasure purchasing our last two GMC’s from Sun Buick GMC. The process was extremely professional and the attention to detail was excellent. Our service experience has been just as good. Very easy to book an online appointment for scheduled service and we were taken care of in a timely manner. Everyone was helpful, informative and kind. Great service, done quickly. They greeted me and took care of me right away. They discussed all my options and costs. My truck was done quickly and I was on my way. They had seats in the waiting room separated so you could socially distance. Everyone was friendly and polite. Thank you

My new car is the 2021 GMC Terrain SLT elevation edition with the skyscape sunroof which extends over the second row leaving a perfect view of the sky! When I tell you there is very low inventory across the island and the hardest car to find with all the packages I wanted, I must say I lucked out with this location in Wantagh!I called every dealership on Long Island & a few in Queens but no one had the Terrain with the bells and whistles I wanted. Sun Buick GMC in Wantagh came through! They had exactly what I wanted plus more than I requested. My salesperson is Rod Sono and he was extremely professional, not pushy, got me numbers that I was happy with and was responsive via email or phone. The sales manager, Kevin Bannon and I clicked as if I have been a customer forever. The finance managers Mitch and Margaret went over the final numbers & paperwork. Quick and painless process!I had priced out with a few brokers & a handful of dealerships (over the phone) and SUN gave me the best numbers. Do your research, build your car online to see what features you would want, know what you want in your car, dont be afraid to price shop over the phone(this will give you an idea of what a good deal is and range you will be in), and know your incentives that you qualify for (Costco auto, company discount, occupation etc).Top notch experience all around. I can’t say enough good things about them! They respect their customers and go at the customers pace.My car was prepped and ready for me. She is officially mine for the next 3 years!
Excellent, well organized and very respectful customer service. The team is great, starting with the gentleman that checks in the cars in the front when you arrive, hes a very nice gentleman as well as the service advisors super nice, and the clean and ample seating area to wait for your car. Although I wasn’t able to lease the truck that I want bc I still have payments on another lease..Tatiana was amazing. She gave me the price that I had calculated before I even reached out to her and it was well below what other dealers were charging, but for so much more car. She was pleasant and easy to work with and I will not hesitate to come here once my current lease is paid off and I can make the deal. 5 star customer service for sure l. Tony and Kevin were a pleasure to deal with. There was no pressure at all from anyone in the dealership and Tony was extremely patient and helpful. It took a couple of weeks for us to decide which car we wanted and Tony was very helpful each time we visited - answered question after question, lease, buy, test drive, the whole nine. Kevin was fair throughout the process and that ultimately finalized our purchase. The entire experience was great! The delivery process was as quick and smooth as any new car delivery Ive ever experienced. Tony had us all signed up and ready to go! Im looking forward to returning when our next car is ready.
Sun GMC was not in my radar when it came time to trade in my Nissan lease but Thankfully one day I decided to drive by and see what they had. Never owning or leasing a GM before; I can honestly say that because of Mitch (sales) and his personable genuine approach and Kevins (manager Im pretty sure) character and personality I will consider my next lease to come from SUN GM already. Everywhere else I shopped around; I was just a female with a wallet... but here; they listened and respected what I had on my wish list and valued where my price point was. Highly recommend
Like many dealerships, theyre great before you hand over your check. Had several issues after handing over my check and had to deal with their management team. Extremely arrogant and uncaring is how I would describe them. Wish I would have read not only their reviews but their bad reviews and paid more attention to the responses posted by management. Do yourself a favor, read how management responds to customers complaints before you decide to go to Sun Buick GMC. Definitely would not recommend! Way better dealerships out there with better prices and customer service.
Previously purchased 1 car and leased 2 cars from Sun. Was looking to trade my car in for a new purchase. I understand covid changed the times. But to tell me to build a car on gmc site and have it delivered to them.. why bother...Purchased 2021 ford explorer from Hassett. I was treated as they wanted my business.
Brand new Buick Encore broke down on the Third day we had it. Fuel injector failure , stranded on highway. Dealer would not give us.a diffrent vehicle. We felt unsafe in this vehicle.We have been loyal costumers with multiple vehicles leased. Roadside assistance failed us.Lied to us and told to call gm, only gm could help us get into a diffrent vehicle. Called GM and was told the dealerships are independently owned and they are the ones to help us. Basically just got the run aroundMy reply to ownerWhen it was being loaded on the flat bed it was spewing white smoke from its exhaust.So sorry I can’t predict the day your car was going to fail me. I was never offered a Uber my family had to come pick me upWe had to take out and install car seat in pouring rain. I told no lies.I had no vehicle for three daysWas offered a rental but had to drive out there to get it. No one lied? David gave me a number to call for GM, He specifically told me GM has to help me get into a new vehicle. Gm called us back and said they have nothing to do with this the dealers are private franchises. They have to assist us into getting a different vehicle. I don’t know how you don’t think that was a lie or a blow off. As for me being HARShAnyone who had this experience would be. I never created a “false narrative” I just want people to know what can happen when things don’t go right with your vehicles. Your brand new vehicle put my family and myself in danger there is no excuse for that
This was my first time to Sun Buick GMC and I had a wonderful experience. Tatiana was very helpful in finding a vehicle that fit my specifications and price range. She is very friendly and pleasant to deal with. Gary in the finance department made sure to check for any discounts we may qualify for and saved us money. He also was a pleasure to deal with. Everyone is super nice and they go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. I would highly recommend this dealership.
I cant say enough great things about this dealership. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile, and so many helpful people. Everyone was very attentive, extremely courteous and overly welcoming.Roberto was amazing and I never felt like I had to haggle with him to get to the price I wanted to be. Right off the bat, he was willing to make me feel comfortable and wouldnt push me into something I didnt feel safe with. I felt like I couldnt leave the dealership without my Terrain because of how easy they made this offer happen for me. I wouldnt ever want to deal with any one else ! All parties involved were extremely accommodating.Dan was also beyond helpful and answered my every question with an over abundance of knowledge and provided a great deal of added information.I recommend everyone who is in need of a new lease or finance should come in and be treated like gold!
Have to say I was really happy with this dealer until recently. Check engine light came on after NY inspection - it was a emissions resent for a DEF truck. i checked with Onstar. They demanded that my truck stay overnight (brought it in at 1pm that afternoon). Picked up next day and they drove my truck 70 miles - no one explained the details of what an overnight test drive was. figured it was a drive local around dealership and had to keep overnight for whatever reason. Kept saying it was explained to me over the call - it wasnt. They said they had a recording, asked them to play it, of course wouldnt. If they did play that recording, it wasnt explained and you can tell I knew something was up when I kept asking why do they need to keep my car, why cant I just pick it up and bring back.Maybe its me, maybe Im weird, but I dont want the senior mechanic, or manager, or whoever driving my truck home to their house, keeping it god knows where, without my permission.Also, after reading the code print out reset - nothing says that the car needs to be driven 70 miles (well over an hour to ensure light goes off). Says 15-20 minutes test period driving at different speeds etc.What did they do with my truck, none seems to know or explain - told me they drove it to West Islip. Thats 40 miles max round trip to Wantagh. Guess, they took a few pit stops to the store, or maybe they also took it out for deliveries or whoever had errands to run. Odd.Going forward make your consumers aware that someone takes the car home on overnight tests and that 50+ miles will be put on the vehicle.

I picked up my new GMC Terrain last night and I have to say this is one of the best experiences Ive had with leasing or purchasing a car. Everyone I worked with was extremely helpful, patient, professional and friendly. They also made it completely stress free! They found me exactly what I needed in my new SUV. The explanation of everything that has to do with the sale and the new truck was very thorough. My experience from the beginning was beyond what I expected. Everyone that I interacted with made me feel as though they really appreciated my business. I couldnt have had a better experience. I feel very fortunate to have had such a nice, knowledgeable, and truly understanding salesperson like Victor. I didnt feel pressured, and I like the fact that that Sun Buick was not a Mall where youre just another face, and number. The car was also very nicely detailed when I picked it up, icing on the cake. Just got my car less than two months ago and had an amazing experience with SUNs sales department. Well, today I got to meet all of the wonderful people in the service department. I called this morning because my tire pressure dropped significantly on one of my tires. I had clearly driven over something. They were so nice and squeezed me in. They tried to patch the tire and couldn’t. I also could have gone to a service station around the corner from me, but truly felt that if the level of service from the sales department was any indication of how wonderful the entire place is, then taking the car back for a new tire here was the way to go. I wasn’t disappointed. The service department staff was curtious, honest and extremely efficient.
I have been bringing my Buicks to Bob McKenna at Sun Buick for about ten years. Bob is wonderful. Professional, courteous and always willing to go the extra mile to get things done timely and right. Bob is honest, returns calls promptly and explains precisely what is needed to be done to the car and how long it will take. Bob is patient and truly cares getting the job done right. He is part of a team in the service department that understands customer service and constantly exceeds my expectations. Bob always comes through when we are going on a road trip to ensure the Enclave is ready to go!
2020 update: I have been going to Sun Buick GMC for six years now for service. I continue to be highly satisfied.2016: I worked with Bob and Tom in service, and Patrick the owner to investigate a concern with my vehicle. They were a pleasure to work with and did everything they could to ensure the vehicle was running in top condition. Very good people. No other dealer like it.
The whole transaction was super easy... there was no back and forth of any kind... the price was the right price the first time around and that was it! Roberto was great! Everyone at Sun was so nice. It was Memorial Day and they had a BBQ and offered us lunch. Mike Kunz helped us and he was really great! We have been leasing for years and every time I am due for a new car I dread it. The car salesmen never remember your needs or follow through on phone calls. Not Mike!!! Was considering a new car within the next year but when I went in for my oil change & inspection, the dealer gave me a sweet trade in deal I couldnt refuse. So, I now have a lovely 2019 Terrain. There was no pressure tactics or back and forth games. Easiest buy Ive ever made.Thank you Tatiana for ALL your help. I had to return a couple of times for further guidance with the newer technology but she was there every step of the way so I could feel comfortable and secure with driving the car. She took her time going over all the details that were easier shown than having to read every detail and helped me sync my phone and start up On Star and Xirius Radio.Now Im a second time, proud owner of a GMC Terrain. I was very happy with my previous 2013 so Im confident that Ill love my 2019 updated version that has some wonderful changes and additions that work so well for me and my husband.

Great people and a very easy and pleasant experience. Rocky is a great sales person and Kevin the manager was great as well! Highly recommend them no hassle great price and no surprise price changes. We told them our budget and they got us in a comfortable zone on a 2017 Acadia Limited which we love! My Dodge RAM lease is up in about 12 months and I will be back in to see Rocky to see if we can work out a deal on a Sierra 1500!
Walter, my Service Rep, was great! My wife had dropped the truck off for an A/C issue along with getting some scheduled maintenance. My wife had explained to me the initial service Walter had recommended. It was basically far less than I had thought it shouldve been considering the truck was just shy of 100K miles. My wife put Walter on the phone and we both discussed the service the truck should receive. Walter and I both agreed to the services, he listened to what I thought, and I listened to him. I felt I was talking to a friend that I hadnt spoken to in years.During the two days that my truck was in service Walter would call me with updates. What they found and what they didnt. I felt very comfortable and Walter had won my trust.Two days after getting the truck back I noticed the center cap of my front rim missing. I immediately called Walter. I figured after the tire rotation and/or the inspection the mechanic may have forgotten to reinstall the cap. Walter placed me on hold and check the shop. He returned on the phone to state it wasnt there. I was disappointed now knowing Id have to purchase a new one. The cap could have come off while driving or swiped at a local parking lot. I asked Walter if he could possibly order me a new one at a discount. He told hell see what he can do and would call me back.A couple of hours passed and my phone rang. It was Service! Hey Walter, I answered, but it wasnt Walter. It was Michael, the Sevice Manager, he stated that hed be ordering me a new one at no charge even though he knew the truck left the lot with the cap installed (security footage). I told him I was willing to pay. My calling was only hoping it was forgotten on the shop bench and not lost on the street. He insisted on covering the charges especially after I had incurred a substantial expense for the services rendered.Walter and Michael had truly impressed me. Its a rarity today in finding such honest and service-minded individuals such as them in the auto industry. Should my truck need service again I will definitely be bringing it back to Sun Buick/GMC of Nassau County.
This the fifth car I have gotten from this dealership. That alone should say how I feel about Sun Buick GMC. I got all 5 vehicles from the same salesman Joe Gillespie. Joe always makes the experience very pleasant and smooth. I have always had a good experience from buying to the service there.
Easily one of the best car buying experiences Ive ever had. The salesman to help me out, Mike Kunz, was knowledgeable, professional and patient throughout the entire buying process. He answered every question I had from the moment I walked on to the showroom floor to the moment I drove off in my new truck. Sun Buick GMC wasnt the only dealership we visited during the buying process, but it was the last. There was never any feeling of being pressured into buying - which I cannot say about the other manufacturers dealers we visited this weekend. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Sun Buick GMC, every dealership should be like this.
Tatiana, Kevin, Margaret and Patrick assisted us in finding the right 2021 Enclave to replace our 2018 Enclave lease. Called on a Wednesday, went in see the new model and ordered it. Picked it up on Saturday. All the DMV papers and other documents were taken care of. A pleasure to deal with everyone at Sun Buick GMC. The price they quote is always the best possible price. We still have the Encore, but it was time to replace our Acadia. Rocky explained the different models and the pricing. Since we were looking for a larger car than the new Acadia, we decided on the Enclave. We love coming to Sun and Rocky because there are no games and we dont feel like we are playing Lets Make A Deal. We got the deal that was offered at the time and we are happy with our choice. Joe contacted us as soon as we decided to take the Enclave to explain our coverage options and we were also happy to see Kevin again. Mitch provided multiple quotes on various vehicles for me and went over all their features, which helped me narrow down my selection to the gorgeous new Envision. Amazing experience. Victor Moronta, the sales rep is friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. No pressure at all while selecting and getting a great deal. The whole process took me about 1 hour, including the finance, then about 30 minutes when I picked the car up. Thats how business should be run.
Customer Service is above and beyond...from the salespeople, financing, car servicing and management! It’s a family affair..I think our last 8 cars have been from Sun. Even after our car got totaled a month after getting it, everyone at Sun went out of their way to accommodate us. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
This dealership is hands down the best dealership Ive visited in every aspect. The entire team is tremendously friendly and personable. Not once was anyone inattentive or nasty. When I had first walked in, I had an appointment with a specific salesperson. That salesperson was tied up when I arrived so my first impression was great, this place doesnt honor their appointments that impression was quickly altered because since I stepped foot in there, I was approached several times asking if someone could help me to which i replied I have an appointment with so and so after ten minutes, they didnt want me to have to wait, so they set me up with another salesperson, Mitch, who is also phenomenal. Since then, the entire team made sure I, my boyfriend, and my father were comfortable and satisfied with every aspect from water bottles and cookies to having enough chairs at Mitchs desk for us to sit to finding a good price point and being upfront with every feature and every number to even giving me a gift upon picking my car up as a thank you -- wrapped and everything. This dealership very much operates like a family and is very warm and welcoming and I so look forward to scheduling maintenances with them in the future. We were in the market for a new car and wanted to take a look at the GMC Acadia as one of our options. From the moment we walked into the dealership, we had a strong feeling that this is where we would be buying our car. Jakub was incredibly polite, honest and informative. He answered all of our questions and was up front and clear with all of his answers. There was never a moment where we felt that our needs were not met or that there were any smoke and mirrors being used. Dave, who works in finance, was also friendly and incredibly helpful during our transaction. The dealership was also flexible with our schedule to pick up the vehicle. From the minute I walked in, I was 100% comfortable. My 1st visit, I met with Roberto who gave me great pricing. He was extremely helpful and very courteous. I have always leased or owned Japanese cars and did not think that I would ever switch. When the lease on my Mazda CX5 was due to expire I decided to check out the Buick Encore as I liked the sleek lines and look of the car. Roberto Ramirez and the manager Kevin Bannon were extremely straight forward, honest and helpful. I test drove the Encore and decided this would be my next lease. Roberto gave me a honest deal and accommodated all of my questions and concerns. Would recommend the car and the dealership to any of my family and friends that are looking.

Firstly, I have hidden my name because the tyrant at the helm will search my name in his database and inappropriately put my personally identifiable information out there!NOW!I was looking for a Buick Encore for my daughter as a graduation gift. I stumbled upon Sun Buick GMC and thought I’d stop in and get a price. After receiving the spiel, I was very open and honest and said, right now I am shopping around.. this comment did not sit well with them. They wanted me to commit and leave a deposit, despite not even knowing how much it would cost me!! I’m not a person to make a decision on the fly. I was led to a desk to “Talk Numbers” there are other desks extremely close and everyone could hear each other’s conversations. The salesman asked me what my budget is... after explaining again that I’m shopping around they refused to give an accurate lease payment but instead gave “ball park numbers” who does business like that.. I sensed that they didn’t want to spend anymore time with me told me to come back when I’m ready to buy. I was introduced briefly to a manager who tried to be funny but was very awkward and I could see other people at the desk next to me became uncomfortable at the managers poor use of language in an effort to be funny! Then I overheard some salespeople talking about a customer and the amount of money they made on a deal.... WOW really!!! In earshot of other potential customers and you’re gloating on the amount of money you making from one sale! The industry wonders why it has such a bad reputation and true to form 4 to 5 salesmen were laughing and making disgusting comments.They then told me the deal is only good for today and no one on the island is going to beat their number despite only being “ball park”BREAKING NEWS I went to North Bay Buick a few days later and was given respect by a salesman that was trustworthy and willing to help! Gave accurate lease numbers which by the way was $126 a month less expensive than Sun’s ballpark numbers with same money down.... SOLDDo not buckle to Sun’s aggressive process, they don’t care about you, only the profit you provide.I’m sure the reply to this review will be aggressive and full of deep rooted hatred..
I was treated patiently and with attention to every question I asked. Roberto was wonderful and kind. He got the sale right after I test drove the GMC Acadia SLT-1. I am glad he took interest in my needs. No sales pressure at this dealer. Very straightforward and honest!
Had to be the worse experience with a dealership. I had a scheduled service that they would provide me with a loaner car. When I got there, the loaner car was not there and I had to wait for it. The Enterprise driver came about 15 min later with a Yukon! I drive a small Cascada. How do you give someone who drives a small car a Yukon!. Of course I told them I could not drive this and had to go with the Enterprise person back to their shop to get another car. They were trying their best to find one for me but we had to get in the car again and go to another Enterprise location. P.S. 1 hr later I finally got my loaner car which made me late to my other appt.I called the dealership to say that this experience was unacceptable. I got a call from the manager who said to me that it was not their fault that I did not like the car. And I should be THANKFUL that they gave me a $60K car to drive. I said I would of been happy with a $20K car that I could actually drive.When I got back that evening to return the loaner car and pick up my car. Nothing was said to me that they did have a part and could not finish the job. The next day I get a text from the manager in all CAPS saying that they didn’t order the part to finish the job because they assumed I did not want them to finish the job! What? The service was so lacking in every way!

I went to the Sun Buick GMC dealership to see Nick Divone after hearing from so many customers say how wonderful he and the dealership were. I am not a fan of salespeople and dealerships,but I was pleasantly surprised at how Nick changed my feelings about it. From the start, he was so patient, honest, knowledgeable, and easy-going. He listened to exactly what I wanted in a vehicle and showed me all my options. There was absolutely no pressure at any time to buy a vehicle. In fact, once I got all the info and told him I would think about what I was going to do, he told me that it was a pleasure helping me and that he would be there if I needed more info or decided to purchase a vehicle. He gave me his direct phone number in case I had any questions or concerns and walked me to the door without once trying to pressure or strong-arm me into buying then and there like all the other salesmen I have encountered in the past in other dealerships. He didnt even ask for my phone number which right then I realized he was not one of those salesman who would badger you with phone calls after you leave. He said that if any new deals came along he would let me know and at that point I offered him my number. It was by far the best experience I ever had with a salesman.Needless to say, I came back to him with my family and purchased a beautiful Navy Blue GMC Limited Acadia from him. Again, the process was so smooth and so nice I was astounded. I made arrangements to pick the vehicle up July 1. That morning when I walked in to pick it up, again Sun Buick shocked me by sitting me down and telling me that they had an even better deal that started July 1 and would I mind waiting a few moments while they figured out the new incentive that would be to my benefit. Sure enough, they save me even more money and I drove away with my new Acadia Limited a very very happy customer. The entire staff greets you warmly when you walk in, they offer you refreshments, and make you feel treasured. I went back to pick up some Weathertech Mats and was treated like a queen when I walked in. Each time I have been there, the General Manager also greeted me and chatted with me. After my purchase, I got a lovely thank you card and a gift from the owner of Sun Buick GMC - once more I was speechless.Not only was Nick Divone a salesman, but I now consider him a friend. Very pleasant experience overall however there were extra fees not discussed when negotiating such as $89 dollar fee for gas and free inspections etc. So my deal of First month and DMV out of pocket only was inaccurate. Basically I paid to get the monthly payment down to what I could afford when I thought I had made a better deal than I really did.
My husband and I have had horrible experiences with car dealerships in the past. With that said, we went to Sun GMC expecting the same treatment we had received in the past....but we were greatly mistaken. From the moment Rob S. shook our hands until the actual pick up of our GMC Terrain SLT, it was seamless. We were not there for hours, we were there as long as we wanted to be there. I picked up my SUV, and the transaction was completed in 45 minutes. We were not pressured ever by Rob, and not even by the Sales Manager Joe. Rob was beyond patient, he answered every question we had. He gave us his personal cell so in case we had questions when we left, we could call or text him. He had even told me when I picked up my Terrain, you have my cell if you have any questions or problems with anything, call me. We can honestly say we were blown away with the customer service and the AWESOME experience we had. I would recommend him and Sun GMC to my family, friends and anyone looking for a vehicle. Had my 2011 Regal towed by Onstar to Sun. Black smoke was coming from exhaust with strong smell of gasoline . Broke down on the LIE. Thought the engine might be damaged and unrepairable. Thanks to the top notch service department at Sun I am back on the road. They kept me informed throughout. There were no surprises and the cost was very reasonable. Began my journey a month ago searching for a 7 seat passenger SUV. I visited different dealers and saw a variety of vehicles. It was a very disheartening experience, being coerced and manipulated instead of being taken seriously. It was hard to trust any of them knowing that they were not looking for my best interest, but their own and how much she can make off meTired of the journey, my husband and I decided we wanted to lease a GM Acadia and so I called Sun Auto Group. I took a different approach and instead of going to the dealership I called to speak to a manager, Robert Schappert, Asst. Sales Manager. He was very forth coming and answered my questions.The next day I decided to take a ride to Sun Auto Group to see the 2017 Acadias they still had in stock. Robert was busy with customers so Rocky Dentici offered to help me. I told him I spoke with Robert, he went on line to see what we had discussed. Rocky was very forthcoming, sincere, knowledgeable, and caring. I could tell he was working very hard to make this experience positive and beneficial to me. Not only did he sell me a great vehicle, he renewed my faith in car dealers :) Which says a lot!I highly recommend Rocky Dentici and Sun Auto Group to anyone looking to purchase a GMC/Buick and work with a honest dealer.
Took about an hour for just an oil change. I had an appointment scheduled and the service department was not crowded. Also it wouldnt hurt to wash a customers vehicle when its in for service. Its a great courtesy that goes along way. Every other dealership does it so I dont understand why Sun fails to get this done for their customers. Also no refreshments or snacks. Go into any other dealership and they all these simple things. Sometimes its the little things that make a big difference.
I went to lease a car. In 40 min I got all papers complete for my new Encore. Mr. Smith (A.S.) was very friendly and very helpful, explained everything to me in details.But for my approval it was different. It took 2 days for the Business Manager (G.J.)to get back to me and not with the deal that I expected. I have another car leased and it took only 20 min for the approval.
If I could give zero stars i would. After two leases with these people, upon returning our car last week, our seven year old son coughed up volumes of blood in the parking lot which resulted in a 911 call, an ambulance, and emergency surgery on his heart. When my husband who had our 4 year old daughter and two car seats went back into the dealership to ask for our keys back (just 3 MINUTES after returning it) they REFUSED. they didnt offer him a ride to the hospital. My husband and daughter were left on the side of the road, fearing our son was dying, to call an UBER! I, his mother, rode in the ambulance with him and couldnt believe the callous nature of these people. They lost our business for life. We will never get anther car from them OR a GMC in general if this is how they treat loyal customers. Shameful. The owners response is a lie. We were standing in YOUR parking lot. Check your footage. And you, sir, are worse than callous.
Service was very good. However we had tires replaced and the tires are defective and need to be repaired. The air came out of the tire abdhteby are a week old. I had to schedule an appointment for a week later. When my wife asked for a loaner because she was without a car we were told no. This is the 3rd time I have had an issue with a tire purchased from the service center
This is by far the best dealership on Long Island. They are extremely professional, kind and courteous. This is our second time leasing with them and the experience was better than the first. Rocky Dentici got us everything that we needed in our new terrain and at an awesome price. I cannot say enough good things about this guy! His manager Kevin Bannon is also a great guy, made sure to introduce himself and be involved in the process. What you see is what you get, they do not try to hide anything and make sure you are getting the best deal. I love how open the environment is so you feel involved in every step. I had a Steering assist is reduced light come on. Service refused to schedule me for a Friday drop off, only day I could do it. I asked to speak to service tech, he refused to answer if it was hazardous to drive. I asked about loaner car because I purchased at Sun, they said they couldnt guarantee that. This service department is extremely unhelpful. Ill have to go elsewhere
Great experience with both the sales (Roberto) & service department. The smooth transaction process from start to finish was unbelievable. Had a fear of Dentists & Car salesmen but now only have a fear of Dentists! The entire staff @ Sun is fantastic, especially Lisa Deligatti & Bob McKenna. They are truly professionals and Sun GMC is fortunate to have them as they are an asset to the group.
Bought a Pontiac from Sun in 2004 and it was time to get a new car. Sun isnt too close to where we live, but decided to go check them out again. Walked into Sun and met Rocky Dentici who was knowledgeable, honest and didnt play pricing games. His manager, Kevin Bannon was also honest and friendly. We shopped around for other makes and models, but went back to Rocky because of his honesty. We ended up leasing and couldnt be happier. I told them what I needed and they told me what they could do and we found a common ground that worked for everyone. The Costco / GMC auto Holiday Auto program is also a great benefit to buyers. I called to arrange an appointment and test drive for an Acadia and was greeted by a non-sales person (Dave) who helped me until a sales person became available. I thought that was odd but I appreciated not being put on hold. I ended up working with Dann Giordano and was not disappointed. My wife and I tested the Acadia as planned and also the Terrain. It was late in the day but Dann encouraged us to test both vehicles. We ended up making a deal for a nicely equipped Terrain. We had a supplier discount which was honored and Dann made sure we got all other discounts available. After we made the deal Dann was able to upgrade our vehicle to an SLT package at no extra cost! That has never happened to me and I have been leasing cars for more than 25 years. We picked up our vehicle as scheduled and as promised, were in and out of the dealership in about an hour . This was the most stress-free car buying experience I have ever had. I recommend asking for Dann at Sun Buick GMC. You will not be disappointed

My wife and I went into this dealership yesterday to look at the new Acadia. We looked at the one in the showroom and were greeted by a salesman. We told him that we were coming off of a lease on a 2014 Honda Pilot EX-L, and were interested in a few vehicles from different companies including the GMC Acadia. We wanted him to explain the different packages and features and offer us a hands on demo on the car on the sales floor. He just wasnt interested. We told him we liked the outgoing 2016 model better as its bigger and he incorrectly told us that we can get the 2017 Acadia limited, and that it looks just like the regular 2017 only bigger. WRONG! It looks just like the 2016. He also didnt know what the MSRP was, and never offered a brochure, test drive, or anything. He obviously wasnt interested in showing a car and making a sale. No problem. We left, shaking our heads, and went to the Jeep dealer up the road and were treated great! Salesman there took us outside and showed us the Grand Cherokee and all of its features. Going back tomorrow for a test drive on a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.P.S. Reading a few of the negative reviews from other people, I was amused at the owner of the dealership trying to disprove the complaints these people have. First off,.... when a customer leaves your dealership dissatisfied, you have a problem, not them. If someone says they spent like 10 minutes before being approached, your response should be that youll attempt to do better, not correcting and belittling the person saying you reviewed the video and it was like 2 minutes. Maybe he FELT like it was ten minutes. In any event, I wont be shopping at SUN. If we do decide on an Acadia, we will visit Rockville Center GMC.
From start to finish my experience was excellent. Starting back in July I was looking for a specific vehcile with a specific promotion. The sales team (Mitch / Dan) worked with me to locate both. At first te vehicle was available but not at the price I wanted. When GMC made the supplier program available or my truck they contacted me and we worked toward closing the deal. My first two color choices were not available, so when I was ready to walk out Mitch had another clor he wanted me to look at (Dark Slate Metalic). At first I was mildly interested lookin at a similar truck to what I wanted, but Mitch brought me to the lot (off premise) that had the exact truck I was looking for. That closed the deal. As for the consumation of the sale, finace and pickup everything went smoothly.This is my 3rd vehicle from this dealership and for good reason: great and friendly service with results

Went into the dealership today and had a little but of a disagreement with something that I thought was supposed to be included with the lease of my car. I wrote them an email and, after I realized I was wrong, the owner himself called me back and we figured it out. He could have had someone else call me back but he took time out of his day and called me. After all was said and done I was happy with how everything turned out. I will definitely go back to this dealership in the future.
Although my 2014 Buick Encore has had LOTS of problems since I picked it up in May 2014. I have found that the Service Department is always ready to find and fix the problem/glitch.. I would like to commend Robert the Service Person at the desk he is always pleasant, courteous, professional and believable. He goes out of his way to find and fix the problem.
From initial negotiations to filling out the paperwork to driving off the lot, everything was painless. In fact, as my wife and I were driving in to lease the vehicle, we received a better offer from another dealership. Sun matched it without trying to haggle with us. I would definitely lease another vehicle from Sun when the current lease is up.

You violate 6 of the 8 standards required to be accredited by the BBB and for the record you have a 1 star review rating on the BBB website... your rebuttal is just an outright attack on individuals that have had a negative experience.
I recently brought my NEW 2019 Terrain in for the radio to be fixed/replaced when the part was available. It was supposed to be a 30 min-1 hour job and it took 3 hours. It is still not fixed. The WIFI hotspot as well as the available WIFI networks does not work. I am still waiting to hear about how this situation will be rectified and I cant believe I have to waste more of my own personal time to bring a brand new car in for service.
Rob was awesome did what he said when he said he would. This is the second gmc Ive bought in 5 years and hands down Rob is the reason Id use sun again. The other dealer lets just say didnt do the little things rob did. Ask about the radio, sync my wifes phone, pull the car up next the new one to move the seats. Just kept asking let me show you this. He was as excited as my wife to get the new car. Thank you Rob Shappert!
It was a pleasure buying a new car from SUN Buick GMC. Everyone that we worked with in sales, finance, and management were extremely friendly, informative, and helpful. Buying a new car can be extremely stressful, but Darnell in sales and Joe in finance at SUN Buick GMC did everything they could to make it a comfortable and happy experience.
Fantastic place! Very knowledgeable about their products. I wasnt bombarded with phone calls and e-mails after my initial shopping around visit. I also wasnt pressured into buying anything that day and were willing to throw numbers around without any bull. I am very happy with my purchase and price. For one reason or another you cannot test drive cars. The last time I went, I was told that I would have to make an appointment to test drive a car. Also long waits for someone to acknowledge you.IF this is sales- I can only imagine what service is like. WE bought several cars over the last 2 months- at OTHER dealerships.

2022-04-06Roberto was excellent. Very knowledgeable and very easy to work with. The manager Kevin, all I can say is an absolute gentleman and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. My family has gotten 3 previous cars from Kevin and have been extremely happy about the service and making you feel like family. You dont get that feeling you usually get when walking into a car dealership. Everyone was so helpful and laid back, not jumping down your throat to make a sale. I highly recommend this dealership to any and all friends and family. Also Mitch the finance guy was also an absolute pleasure to work with. The team at SUNGMC/BUICK has figured out how to actually make the car buying experience pleasurable. Five stars all around!!!!

A pleasure to work with, I will highly recommend Matt to anyone looking for a Buick/GMC product. Additionally, the dealership offers a modern and welcoming appearance.....my introduction to the Sales Manager Kevin, and Finance Manager Mitch was equally as pleasant. 2022-03-27This was not my first GMC vehicle, however it was my first time buying a GMC from this dealership. My sales representative, Michael LaRosa, was patient and knowledgable about all the vehicles I was looking at. Michael not only took the time to explain everything I was signing, he also walked me through each and every feature my new truck has to offer (and there are A LOT of features) upon delivery. I’ve dealt with many car salesmen, and Michael, by far, was the best I’ve encountered. During my delivery, Matt and Roberto were also helpful and very pleasant to work with. I dealt with Mitch who explained the financial part of my purchase/lease, and he as well, took the time to explain and answer all questions I had. Patrick was also involved in getting me the EXACT the vehicle I wanted. Despite my numerous questions and specific wants, all the gentlemen who assisted in this process, especially Michael, made it easy and comfortable. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle.

2022-04-25The salesman Justin was great and I would definitely recommend him to anyone but paying over sticker price just because you can right now is just plain bad business for the future. I understand that there isn’t much inventory on the lots due to supply issues but then just have what you want to make be the actual price. Seeing vehicles that look like they are in your price range only to find out that the dealer “wants” to charge an extra $7k just because they can is just bad business and just because many dealers are doing it shouldn’t be a justification.

2022-03-26On March 28 I make an appointment for my GMC Sierra for a check up, some of the lights on the dashboard came on supposedly they couldnt find the issue even though they stayed with the truck for 3 days.. ask for a loaner and supposedly didnt have any loaner available.today 3/25/2022 @ 1engine light came on so I Brought the truck @ 10:30 am without calling them since Tim told me to bring it in right way when the engine light is on.Today he told me cant check the truck until sometimeNext week because today is Friday and the tech guy wasnt there!again I have asked for a loaner and he didnt have any loaner because I didnt buy the truck from them and that is they policy. If I would have known this I wouldnt even bother to bring my truck there for service since my truck is not a priority for them cause I didnt buy it there. I Will never put a foot in that dealer Good luck with your further business.⛔️❌❌✌️❌❌⛔️Ps.. reason I didnt buy the truck there because they didnt have the trim model I was looking for.

2022-02-01I called to bring my truck in and spoke to a woman wish I would have asked her name. Explained what the problem was then she asked me if I purchased truck from them as soon as I said no she told me they were 2 months behind. She was suppose to find out if they could take me in sooner needless to say she never called me back. I went on line a few days later and was able to make an appt on line for that upcoming wend. It instructed u to call if u were first timer I called spoke to same lady and again said she would call me back and never did. I went on to call van Buren in garden city and they were wonderful gave me an appt asap fixed my truck and were so nice and accommodating. She was rude and not nice I was in a bind my truck was not running I explained that to the woman at sun and she could care less
