I had my system installed about 7 years ago. Had some issues and called the office and spoke with Tracy. She set up an appointment and on the scheduled day, mechanics Mike and Mike showed up. They fixed the problem quickly and professionally. Tracy, Mike and Mike could not have been nicer to deal with. They were all courteous and very professional. I could not be happier with SUNation and its employees. If you decide to go solar, this is the company to use.
My system was installed on 2/23 and I have to say it looks amazing. Im assured it will cover all my power consumption. Kevin Stafford, John McDonough and his crew did an amazing job and were very professional. Communication is great. I dont know about their future service, but if they continue on this path, Im sure it will be amazing.

My solar panels arrived a few years ago, and we are really happy with them. They are a fantastic solar company to work with; their customer service is outstanding, and they are quite professional. Based on a recommendation from a relative I decided to join the SUNation Community Solar Program. I have been a customer for nearly two years and am extremely pleased with the results. I receive all the benefits of solar (substantial reduced electric utility costs) without the need to have solar panels installed on my roof. There is absolutely no cost to join the program and I encourage anyone with a PSEGLI utility bill to join. My SUNation representative is Beth Graziani and she is very attentive and made the enrollment process easy.

Had SUNation install my solar electric system 2 years ago. I am very happy with the results and service they provide. Staff and crew were courteous, knowledgeable and neat. My electric bill is $13.42 per month which is the best. SUNation monitors my system and has called me whenever they see an issue which has only happened once. I reached out to Sunation having had a problem with the original installer of my home solar system. Even though this company was not the original installer, Sunation was willing to help me though my problem. The staff was extremely professional and courteous and communicated well.
I was pleasantly surprised that the crew from Sunation actually showed up early for the install. The Forman on the job walked me through the install and answered all my questions. The install went smoothly and there was no debri left on site. Before leaving the Forman went through the whole system and explained the steps to expect to complete the system coming on line. I would recommend Sunation to anyone looking to go Solar.
I have had solar at a prior residence but Sunation went above and beyond from the beginning. The whole process was very easy and I have nothing but good things to say about the people who work there as well as the service they provide! Definitely would use them again if the need every arose!
They were great helping us navigate when animals damaged the roof under our panels. They removed the panels so the roof could be repaired and then reinstalled. a barrier was also installed around the perimeter

We had a small solar system installed on the North Fork this Fall. The installation is excellent, the power was up and generating two weeks after the installation was finished, and the work overall is superb. The power lines are all hidden in attic and well secured high along the beams creating no issues for using the attic for storage. We are totally pleased customers!

Top Notion Company All Around. Best Solar Company On Long Island. SUNation sold and installed our system 2 years ago this month. They did such an awesome job. They stand by their installation and products. We have a minor iusse just recently and with no question fixed the issue on site and upgrade the service for our solar all for free. Hard to find a copany to stand behind their product after two years. They did is with stellar performance.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with SUNation. From beginning to end, my experience with everyone there was pleasant and easy. Installation was quick and tracking everything since it has been installed is easy with an app. Financing was simple and straight forward.
SUNation Solar is THE company you want to use if youre interested in going solar. I interviewed four other companies and they were all hard sell, sign now, youre saving money, you should buy now attitudes. And all those other companies cant compare to the knowledge and professional people at SUNation Solar. The best decision I have made was to go solar with SUNation Solar Systems.
About a 11 months ago I had SUNation install a solar system on my Month old NEW roof. About a month after installation I discovered a substantial leak that was coming from my attic into my kitchen (no pipes in or water lines in the attic and 18 inches of blown in installation in the rafters). Sunation had improperly installed the panels causing a leak. I immediately call them to have someone service the affected area in my roof . it took about 3 weeks before someone showed up. they up took off the pest wrap around the solar panels as if it was garbage and fixed the holes they left in my roof in addition to tightening the loose bolts on the panels that secures the panels to the roof. then they placed the mishandled pest rap back on he panels making it look terrible. I had to called sunation again for the pest wrap to be replaced and to inquire about the repair of the damages to my kitchen ceiling. I have called about a dozen time and I am still getting he run around about Sunation repairing my Ceiling. this is almost a year later and I am still having to go through this inconvenience contacting Sunation to uphold there agreement and repair damages incurred by there installation team.I warn new customers to to be aware of this. completely unprofessional and poor customer service
I have community solar from them and and Im very happy with it. They are good at communication with the customer and I have had no problems.
While waiting to have Sunation install my panels I needed a new roof. They recommended Long Island Construction. Mike and his crew were great. They were professional, neat, on time, good price. All the things you look for in a good company. If you need a roof before your panels are installed, dont hesitate to use them. As far as Sunation is concerned, so far they all have been great. Throughout the whole process everything has gone smoothly. I will update on the installation team after the panels are installed but I expect nothing less.

I can’t begin to speak on the level of service provided by SUNation. Our experience with them was top notch. Our sales rep was Mike Copeland, who went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.We found SUNation to be the most economical of all the solar companies we dealt with. On top of that, Mike extended every discount and courtesy available to us to make it even more feasible to utilize solar in our home.From helping us get a new roof, to overseeing all of the work, SUNation really streamlined everything for us to make it easy. We needed to have work done to our house after the installation and SUNation sent techs back to our home to pull the equipment down and reinstall the system upon completion, with out hesitation.The techs did clean work, quickly and efficiently. The financing was a breeze and the customer service was aces from start to finish. I can’t say enough nice things about the company.On top of that, they foster dogs! You won’t find a better company to deal with.
I couldnt be happier with my SUNation installation so far. After getting several quotes from national and local firms, SUNation came through as the best provider on cost and equipment. I researched all of the various panels that were offered and these seemed to be the best. They were aesthetically pleasing as well. Kevin Stafford was the first representative I met met who was very thorough in his presentation, explaining what I could expect and was very knowledgeable about the process (application, town approval, inspections, liaison with PSE&G, etc.). He explained the computer monitoring application and the electrical equipment that would be installed as well. The process went quickly and my installation of a 10.36 kW system was done in one day! My electric bill for the first full month of operation dropped from $200+ to $12.53. SUNation was great with their follow-up as well, soliciting my satisfaction several times after the installation.
When I got the Solar Panels I was happy with the installation and the people. I have given them several referrals cause I truly believed in them. However as of lately it has been a let down. I had a leak in my ceiling and they did send a crew out to inspect it. They did find it was the solar panel which was the issue. The leak did ruin part of my ceiling which they said they would send a vendor out to fix. It has now been 3 months since the inspection. I have called several times with no call back.UPDATE.. they have gotten back to me. And are taking responsibility. Crews will be here this week to repair roof than interior to follow.
Its been one year since SunNation installed 68 residential panels on my home. I wanted for a year to review to be as accurate and honest about my experience with this company. I am over the moon with Scott and the installers and service peeps. I never thought that I would get close to 27,000 KW from my panels. With the help of the best tree guys in the world, Mike Kennedy of Integrity tree, referred by Scott( the owner), I have managed to produce 19,500 KW so far this year. I have used 7800KW since January 2021. The excess goes into my PSEG bank. I am in solar heaven. My typical bill from PSEG is $13 per month for the hook up.The company provides the app SENSE which is WIFI connected and tells me what electirc devices are being used, how much electricity these devices eat and how much my solar panels are producing. This actually helps you know if something is wrong in your home as well. The only service issues are been when the SENSE app went out and there was a connectivity problem. Service is excellent. The price for my solar was more than fair and better than the rest of the vendors on long island. My typical electric bills in the summer are $4500.. Now they are $75.You cannot go wrong with this company.. I am so glad I went with them..You will not be sorry.... ALso the tax credits cannot be beat.. My pocketbook is very satisfied..
I love this company! Everyone is always professional and is willing to help. They do amazing work. You get what you pay for and there are a lot of scamming solar companies out there. NOT SUN NATION. Special shout out to Frank and Antoinette. I Both so knowledgeable and accommodating
Sun Nation purchased Level Solar, with whom I had a contract with. I was supposed to be debited from my checking account on the 20th of the month. This month the 20th falls on a Monday, but they decide to debit my payment on Saturday the 18th. I did not move funds into the account to cover my bill, I do that on the 19th. So if I get charged for an overdraft fee, I will be sending that fee directly to them, I have never missed a payment but do they need to take my payment early without my consent? I don’t think so. Also the savings are not as great as it was promised when I first leased the solar panels. Be careful with these solar companies, they can be worse tha PSE&G
We were not happy with the delayed service (6 months) in the beginning and was worried that we would miss out on the tax rebate, but Sunation reached out and they completely understood our frustration and made sure that we were not missing out on the rebate. The installation team was amazing. They arrived on time and cleaned up after, walked us through all systems and how they work. I didnt get the gentlemans name but he was thorough, patient, and professional.
The whole experience was very pleasant..From the salesmen, to the administrative staff to the installers. Everything was upfront and clear. They explained the process and followed it to a tee. Installation: Look less time than estimated.Service: I monitored the system daily online. A few months after install, I noticed one panel dark. They came and corrected it the same day without needing anyone home.They are very responsive.
They are a great organization and made installing to Solar so easy. The staff are total professional. So grateful to have met Mike Copeland. He made the process so easy. There were changes in Federal & State tax changes, they made sure we were installed before the deadline. All of installers were professionals from the moment they arrived. The best thing I ever did!!! Kevin Stafford is awesome to work with and a Great caring salesman. I havent had to pay PSEG a dime except the $12 monthly connection fee for over a year! The rebates from the state and Federal government covered quite a bit of the purchase. I now own my own solar panels which will be paid off in 6 years just by paying the same amount i would have paid PSEG.... Kevin estimated the amount of panels I needed perfectly. The installation crew were great as well. Kudos to a great investment!!!! Thanks for a great job!
Recently I had Solar Panels installed on my house. From the first call, to SUNation, nothing but a good experience. The 6-man crew were on time, clean, courteous and knowledgeable.They completed the work within about half a day. I needed a generator exterior receptacle for my generator, which they installed as well which involved an additional circuit breaker and Mechanical Generator Interlock Kit. The Service Department was excellent ! They did it all, and a great job.A small snafu with some payment paperwork because of miscommunication with the Office was a little was a little stressful, but ultimately resolved.
Sunation completed our solar installation recently, the crew were so neat, professional. I was very impressed with how organized they were during installation. They cleaned up after themselves. They explained every step of the way clearly. Our sales person is Rohan, he explained everything to us and remained available to us every step of the way. I even had an opportunity to speak with the owner Scott, he called to apologize for the delay, even though the delay was Covid 19 related. I had spoken with staff in the office who were also very professional. All in all it was a very good experience for us and I would and have already recommend Sunation to friends and family.
The process was very easy & friendly. There was never any pressure to sign up. Bill was fantastic and answered all of our questions.The installation process took one day. The guys worked quickly and house was upper clean when they left.I enjoy monitoring my daily solar energy. The Sense App learns all about the energy usage in my home.I highly recommend anybody who owns a home hooked up to an electrical utility company gets solar!

Approaching 2 years since SUNation installed panels on my roof. From beginning to end, and even BEYOND the end, the company has been exceptionally amazing. They make the process easy and are reasonable in every way. Even after completion of installation, they are quick to address any concerns in the best way possible. Theyre simply amazing and Ive told many people that all businesses or organizations should operate like them. Theyll treat you like family. As George Foreman used to at, I guarantee it!
I would give Sunation zero stars if that was possible, because they have been unresponsive, callous, and have ignored their responsibilities to us, while at the same time not allowing us out of our contract. We have been trying for 3 years to get our solar panels functioning, after Sunation took over our account from Level Solar, which went out of business in 2017. Now we are approaching 4 years of lost energy savings and they wont even reply to our emails. We have been ignored and pushed off again and again. We have tried contacting managers at all levels of the company and have nothing but silence. This is absolutely no way to run a business and no way to treat customers. We continue to navigate this awful situation on our own, as Sunation refuses to let us out of our contract and also refuses to connect our solar panels to our energy grid. This company has been callous, incompetent and dishonest, and I would advise anyone against working with Sunation.
The SUNation family became part of mine own after the gift of endless power for the home of me and my boys. Their courtesy, professionalism and most of all persistence and patience has never gone unnoticed. The entire company from those you speak with on the phone to the crews that come install/ maintain the solar panels are an absolute pleasure to deal with. They are all extremely helpful and knowledgeable in this field and I would recommend them to anyone thinking of getting solar panels.
We decided on SUNation for our solar job in April 2016 after 3 other companies came in. As soon as they walked through the door they were professional and to the point without wasting our time. Everything was explained fully and we understood all our options. Best decision ever! From our very first electric bill we had no charge other than basic hookup of around $11. After the first year we have been over producing and not even paying the hookup fees!! By far the best solar company out there. From the salesman to the installers to the staff if ever needed in the office. Highly recommend!!!!
We just had an installation done by SUNation. They were very professional and did a great job. I was very impressed by how neat and clean the in house wiring was done. The panel installation was also very good looking. I really liked the look of the pest strip they use to keep critters out from under the panels, and they kept the outside conduits to a minimum. We have four other houses with solar right around us and our installation looks the best.
Super happy we went with SUNation for our solar panels! Everything was clear from start to finish. Our sales rep, Kevin, was easy-to-reach when necessary, we didnt have to put any money down, and we were also given lots of tips and tricks for minimizing and monitoring our electric usage. Great company! The whole job went seamlessly!
We originally had our solar panels installed by another company (Level Solar) that ceased operation a couple of years ago. SUNation picked up our contract and has been awesome in every respect since. We had to remove, and reinstall, some our solar hardware when we sided our house last year. The care and attention they paid to our system and our house was unbelievable. Great people, great company, great support!
SUNation was amazing to work with from the very beginning and even past the end. Their customer service is definitely their top priority. They will under promise and definitely over deliver. Their workmanship is also very clean, hiding all conduit in the walls. If something stops working, they come and fix it. No dealing with the manufacturer. They take care of it all. I definitely recommend!!
SUNation took over our service after the company we initially signed up with went out of business. The level of service improved dramatically once they took over. The faulty meter that the other company struggled to repair was immediately replaced and has been problem free. The billing issues that we had with the previous company were immediately resolved. We now have a surplus with our local power company and the panels are doing a great job. We lease the panels and so far have had no problems. Its a good option for those of us who may not be able to afford to outright purchase them.
Solar panels work great but I’m sure they all do I give this company a five star their customer service is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for solar. I referred them to five friends and they’re all extremely happy with them
Sunation sales person lies when convincing you to sign up; your bill will be NO more than $12.00 to $24.00 per month , lie no.1. PSEG only would allow 63 panels that is why you are only getting 45% coverage and you can only save 1/3 of your bill. NOT so, l called PSEG, YOU CAN INSTALL FULL COVERAGE plus %10. Sunation said l didnt want more panels - NOT TRUE. We can install another systen f in r another 60,000.
The installation went absolutely amazing. John Bs crew was very professional from the start of the job to finish. Every single crew member was kind and courteous, and they made this experience wonderful. From the sale all the way to the installation, SUNation has done nothing but an amazing job. Ive seen great reviews on the SUNation facebook and website and SUNation proved those reviews right!

Great experience with our sales representative. Installation of the solar panels was completed when SUNation said it would be done. Never inconvenienced by the installation crew. Have yet to pay anything but the line charges to PSEG.Would definitely recommend SUNation & do the process over again.
Loving my solar panels! My meter is truly going in reverse. My 30 panels produced over 1200 KWh during this past month of March....way more (500 kWh) production than I consumed. I will say, ever since I changed to LED light bulbs I have seen such a drastic improvement. Anyway, I’m definitely a happy customer. SUNation has been easy to work with, they did a great install, and they are always on call for any assistance. Thanks SUNation!
I first used Sunation to install solar panels on my old house back in 2009. at the time the process was laborious and took almost 8 months, but most of the delay was with the town. We owned that system for 8 years and never had an issue. when we moved in 2017, we contacted Sunation to install solar panels on our new home. this process in the new town was so much smoother that from the time we signed the contract, we had the solar panels online and operational within 1 month. It was amazing how fast they turned things around, i would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks...

He ran a few different options to make sure things were the way I wanted them. On the day of the installation the crew was fast, efficient and clean. They explained my system and were on their way.
Sunation Solar installed our 25 roof solar panels Dec 2016. The installation took two days & the 2 installers did an outstanding job, they went out of their way to run wiring through areas which keep them hidden & not exposed to weather. You couldnt have asked for a better job. The office staff kept us well informed & were extremely helpful anytime we had questions. Weve been running the solar system for two years now without problems and the electric bill savings have exceeded our expectations. I used to charge my car here after work, I was even interested in adding solar to my home. They suddenly changed their charging hours from 24/7 to only during business hour when you cant possibly use the charger because the entire parking lot was filled. Im pretty sure there is a hidden agenda behind this being i charged for 2 hours max but I dont think they appreciate people of color in that area just a heads up. I was always super friendly willing to say hi and never received a response from any employee. When it come to choosing a solar company do your research.
SUNation took over our original company when they went out of business. We are going to have siding replaced so SUNation came today to temporarily remove equipment (inverter and meter) off the house. Technicians were polite, courteous, and very professional. Setting up this removal went smoothly and the communication was excellent. Hoping the re-installment goes as well. So far, so good!

We had our solar panels installed this summer, everyone we dealt with was extremely nice and helpful. Answered all our questions and concerns. Derek our Sales guy was great too! Couldn’t be happier with how quick and efficient everything was. we are just waiting to see the savings start.
We have used this company 2 times and both times they were amazing. They called and came when they said they would, or communicated when there was a change i Plans due to the weather. They came and worked efficiently and were super polite. When. They left you would have had no clue they were there except for the solar panels being up. I have recommended this company to a few friends and would reccomend they to a stranger on the street. They are a great company who stands behind there product. We got our first system almost 7 years ago and they still answer any questions we have.

I had pleasure that my 14,190 watt solar system was installed by SuNation. From sale consultant Bill thru the rest installation team I had nothing but great experience.Very knowledgeable, punctual and professional company. It has been almost a year since May system was installed. My monthly bill went from several hundred dollars to twelve dollars. Plus extra kilowatts in power bank.Not just that they do the best job they have the best warranty in industry and their price is very competitive considering that they offer the very best equipment.Besides amazing experience prior and during installation process, their service department was also outstanding. I had minor repairs that were taking care of in timely and professional manner.In sum, I can highly recommend SuNation as the best solar company on Long Island, NY and further.

I was originally a level solar customer. When level solar went out of business over night with no warning SUNation became my solar provider. I have to say they made the transition very smoothly and their customer service department was always helpful with any questions and concerns that we had! They are always very pleasant and always responds very quickly. I recently recommended them to a neighbor who signed up with them and within a few weeks my referral check was in my mailbox I never even had to Carll and ask when it was coming! Good customer service is hard find but to me is one of the most important things to look for! I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking of going solar!!!
So far so good. I have had great experience with SUNation thus far. My sales person Mike has been great and all the other staff that I have work with. The system is not installed yet, I will update my review once one the installation complete; hopefully the install will be scheduled shortly.
I had solar panels installed by SUNation over two years ago and it was one of the best decisions I have made for my house. Everyone was friendly and professional from beginning to end and the whole process was smooth without any issues. I love getting a PSEG of only $12 most months, some months may be a little higher due to more electricity used vs not much sun, but the highest I have paid is about $60. Well worth the investment and a great company to work with.

Our overall experience with SUNation was quite positive. We love our $12 electric bills. They helped us with replacing our 25 year old roof and doing the necessary tree work to get the best results from our panels. The only thing I would have preferred is to have the loan come from a bank/credit union in NYS as opposed to CA.
We worked with Derek B who was very through in explaining the process. He was always available for our multiple questions. We shopped around with multiple companies until we decided to go with Sunation. The install was done properly and the techs insured everything was left neat and orderly. Bob from SUNation was a great salesman, in continuous contact for the completion of the project. Everything was installed expertly and met or exceeded my expectations. Bills are pretty much a connection fee and my tax refund was high due to the project. I fed that right into paying for the solar loan.

We got our system with SunNation three years ago after long years of waiting for the price to be right for us. We had met with many companies in that time frame, both large and small. When we decided to move forward with the project SunNation was the most informative, helpful and service minded company I had dealt with. It was an easy decision because they explained everything up front and were very knowledgeable about how the financing would work. It all went exactly as they said it would from start to finish. The job was done right and we have only had one problem, which SunNation fixed immediately. The problem wasn’t their fault, but they caught it. After a power outage the system never reconnected to the grid, but they noticed it before I did, set up a service appointment and remedied it the next day. This company is a pleasure to work with.

I would highly recommend this Sunation to handle any solar deployment. They have competative prices but more importantly they have the best technicians in the business. The solar system they did for me and my fathers house was professional and complete. When I had an issue at my fathers house with a flat room leak under the panel a year after the install, they came in replaced the roof and repaired the internal leak damage without a question.You can not get a more reputable company to handle your solar deployment.

For those who know what a +1 customer service experience is, that is exactly what you will get from SUNation. Professional, responsive, and friendly. They make you feel like part of the family from day 1. Tammy answers emails fast, it seems like she works every day. The techs who came to do the install were professional and, more importantly, safe. A couple of salesmen came by during the install to make sure everything was going as planned. The techs explained everything to me and walked me through it after it was over, even going over the app on my phone that shows your usage and stuff.The owner sends out his own phone number upon signing up for a system. Although it took many months(Jan-Sept with early Oct install date) of back and forth with my advisor between different variations of my system, there was never any pressure and with great communication. I just wished that things wouldve gone a lot quicker. Rohan is very accomodating, highly patient and very pleasant to speak with. Other then the long delay (Not the fault of Rohan), definitely recommend them to anyone looking to install Solar.No experience with quality of my install yet, but will definitely update this review around this time next year.
Had a great experience with Sunation solar. Their entire crew and office staff were all very professional and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. I am happy with how the install looks and I am even happier with the new electric bill !I would definitely recommend them !!!
So we had an estimate from another company and decided to see what SUNation would offer. The first company had us getting 38 panels and was in our attic for about 3 minutes and measured our roof with two people and two tape measures. SUNation showed up and what a difference. The simulation they used accounted for my neighbors shed, trees and roofline. That was completely absent from the first company. Additionally the guy who showed up to do the onsite assessment (I forgot his name, but he had a physics degree from Stony Brook) was in our attic for about 30 minutes and measured our roof with a drone. Much more state of the art. SUNations proposal was for 33 instead of 38 solar panels with the same energy output. Turns out the other company was using four generation old solar panels as opposed to cutting edge technology offered by SUNation. Our salesman Matt Washington explained all of this to us. SUNation was slightly more expensive, but we decided to go with them due to the knowledge base and accounting for structures that might impede our energy efficiency. Out install occurred over two days (December 23rd and 24th). The install crew was beyond amazing!!!! Kind, polite, funny, professional, caring, respectful, competent, and all around awesome. I was sad to see them go. The crew included Michael K, Stefan M, Tom S, Rocco B, John Q, John B, and James G. Not only were they incredible, and were so appreciative of the simplest courtesy (for example having food, drinks and making our bathroom available to them), but the install was immaculate. I was very impressed with their work and the quality of the install. We do not have a single piece of conduit on our roof, or between banks of solar panels. They were able to complete all of the wiring internally in our attic. This company is the best company you can possibly hope to get to properly, and professionally, install your solar panels. Since the install I only had to pay the connection fee to the grid ($13.11). We will easily recoup our investment in 6 to 7 years. Could not be happier with the results. Our happiness is the direct result of the people that work for this company. From the sales representative, Matt Washington, to the installation crew, start to finished we are so impressed as we continue to recommend this company to family and friends. Especially the install crew that was at our house on the days of December 23rd and 24th of 2019. I cannot say enough great things about that install crew.
We became SuNation customers after they inherited the contract we have with LevelSolar. I disagree with the predatory nature of these long-term solar contracts that lock in customers for 20 years, with no options for early termination if you are unhappy with their service. Their response for anyone wanting to terminate a contract early is good luck taking us to court, you signed a contract now youre stuck, for better or for worse. They have friendly customer service, have been responsive to my calls, and I have no qualms with their employees, but I urge everyone considering signing a solar contract to remember: you will be stuck with this company for years, you will not be able to take advantage of any new tech or options that are developed in the future, and the benefits of solar are marginal at best, when youre still paying them for any electricity produced. If you want to go solar, buy your own panels. These companies do nothing for you other than commandeer your roof for their profit and bill you monthly for the trouble.

I have dealt with every dept. within the company and everyone has been so knowledgeable, courteous, and very passionate about what they do. The system design has matched the actual production values and our bills have been approximately $12 per month for the last couple of years. The sales rep Rohan was recommended to me by one of my coworker when I mentioned to him that I was speaking with a company about solar installation. Right from the beginning Rohan was very helpful and the office staff were efficient and cooperative. Even though it took longer time than expected to get permit from the town they kept me updated on the situation. All the inspections and installations were prompt and on the day of installation it was finished ahead of the estimated time and the property was cleaned well. The transition from Level Solar to SUNation Solar Systems was seamless. I was very happy and relieved that such a great company took over where another dissolved. One of the great things is their customer service. They make you feel happy and like you are part of a family no matter what you are calling them about and that is a good feeling to have. Great company! They were professional from start to finish. I had them install my panels 2 years ago and have only had to pay the small PSEG basic monthly charge since then (with a small exception of a couple of really really cloudy months this winter where I had to pay about $15 over the basic PSEG rate). Highly recommend this company if you go solar.Editing to state that I still love this company. Last month...3 years after my system was installed I had an issue where the inverter was not communicating with the cell system. Sunation came over and hooked it up to my router and solved the issue. I dont know how the solar system works yet, but the installation process was as smooth as can be. Gary met with us, explained everything clearly, made sure we would pay less than our electric bill per month toward the loan and then every detail was taken care of, the loan application, tax exemption, permit application etc all went smoothly and i was kept upto date as the process progressed. installation was clean, neat and quick, with the installers very respectful and thorough. im excited to be using solar power and to see my electric bills in the future!
SUNATION installed our system over the summer. Fredericka was our saleswoman and she was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. She helped us configure panels so they would be optimum. Crew came and installed in 1 day. Had questions recently about notifications on my app , and they immediately got back to me, and it was after 10pm. I highly recommend this company.
SUNation provided top notch estimates, research and product installation. Since day 1 as advertise, our family has been saving on energy which in turns helps our planet. Permit process, paperwork and such all handled with ease!. Tech support when needed (only twice in 4 years) is outstanding. A big feature if they are able to to conceal wiring as ive seen many of houses with exposed conduit to get to the inverter. From signing contracts, to paper work, to installation of the panels, the process couldnt have been any easier. We had our panels installed in November of 2018 and they have been working great ever since. We even received our NYS and federal tax credits without any issues during the tax season. Great solar company that installs aesthetically pleasing solar panels and has a hardworking and knowlegable staff. During the install, one of the ladders dented our new gutters. They had a gutter guy at our house the following day fixing the issue wirh no questions asked. Before making the decision of choosing Sunnation as our solar company, we interviewed a number of companies. Sunnation was the only company that provided us with an itemized list of costs comparisons, the difference in panels and their kWh, as well as the timeline breakdown of what will happen start to finish. I can say that they are extremely efficient at streamlining the necessary paperwork, permits, and materials needed to install the panels asap. (My cousins signed a contract with another solar company weeks before I did and their solar install didnt take place until two months AFTER ours.)They are committed to providing the utmost customer service possible and have helped us navigate through some concerns.Overall a great company and we couldnt be happier with our solar panels.

Nothing but great things to say about SUNation Solar Systems. Ive had tremendous savings on my utility bills and its great to know that we are helping our environment by using natural resources and saving our planet in the process. I live in a very woody area so I informed the technicians about squirrels getting under the panels and they immediately got to work and installed a mesh around the panels to prevent small animals from getting under there. I am a very satisfied customer!
I had my Solar installed by Sunation about 4 years ago after talking with a friend that had solar , Not installed by Sunation .He loved it and the solar was doing everything he hoped for . I interviewed the company he used and they were nice but decided to go to the Sunation showroom and speak with them also . I’m glad I did and I’m glad I went with them. Since I’ve had my solar I’ve had two small problems that were completely covered by them . No charge for the part or service. They have exceeded my expectations and I couldnt be happier. They have done everything they said they would and more .
Horrible customer service. We have had a hole in our roof under our solar panels due to neglect and failure to instal guards around the panels to avoid buildup beneath them. The hole has been there for 3 months now and we are getting the run around saying they are awaiting approval to come fix it. SUNation has no respect for our home and the situation of having a hole from our bedroom leading to the outdoors.DO NOT HIRE SUNATION.
UPDATE. So my system has been up and running for a couple years now. I called Sunation after noticing a fault light on my inverter. Called by 10am by 2pm they were at my house and system was back up and running. I have never dealt with a contractor for my house with such ease. Years later still glad I went solar with SunationThey are on point with all they do. You deal with many employees throughout the solar process. I have yet to find anyone not excited to help or point you in correct direction.
This company walked me through the whole process, from evaluation through installation. The sales guy I dealt with, Bill, was great with call backs and answering any follow up questions I had. The install was near flawless with a lot of time and attention spent on minimizing the appearance of wires and such on the exterior of the home. Highly recommend this company.

Thorough and professional from start to finish. All of my options were explained and after final approval from me all paperwork and permits were filed by Sunation . This made the process quite easy. Installation crew did a great job as the installation is very neat . They may not be the least expensive but the work and results are outstanding.
SUNation took over for the company that installed my solar panels (Level Solar). I was worried not knowing them how things were going to be with them. Well, they put my mind at ease pretty quickly. The transition was smooth and they answered my questions, addressed billing issues with the transition, helped me getting the app working. everything is working fine.

I sat down with up to four different Solar Companies. Each having a unique and different way about how to approach the project. I settled on SUNation for various reasons. This company came highly recommended to us as one the premier solar panel installers in Long Island so my husband and I put our trust that during these times of the pandemic, Sunation would do the right thing by following all the protocols mandated by NYS. Unfortunately, on the day of the install, all but 1 of the 5 installers that showed up at my home ignored the mandate to wear a mask. Additionally, 1 installer got sick with a stomach virus and instead of being sent home immediately by the supervisor, remained at my home, used my bathroom several times and while going in and out of my home, did NOT wear a mask or gloves. I ended up getting a horrible scare thinking I had contracted Covid-19 two days later which resulted in a hellish ordeal for me, my family and co-workers....not a good experience at all. If anyone wants to allow this company to work in their homes despite my review I highly suggest requesting a written Covid-19 Safety Manual and a written and signed Competent Person Form from the onsite supervisor in charge of the install BEFORE the crew shows up at your house. This way, in the event of any problems, you have additional written guarantees that the work will be done in a safely fashion.7/22/20 - In response to what Sunation has posted this is not a money grab scheme but a FAIR warning to anyone out there who wants to use Sunation. It is an outrage that Sunation is allowed to continue to operate when they outright lie about the fact that their crew was NEGLIGENT while working at my home. I have already submitted a formal complaint to the State of NY and to NYSERDA as I have absolute PROOF of what transpired. As far as I am concerned, Sunations license should be terminated!
I had my Solar system installed a couple of years ago. After a year or so I called for a reevaluation of my system. They showed up without any questions and again answered all my questions... I recommend SUNation to all my friends and as a Real Estate agent I also recommend SUNation to all my clients.

2022-02-23SUNation Solar Systems has met all of my expectations. Getting a new roof with the help of their roofing partners made coordinating seamless. Our installation was back in November and we have already made use of our battery backup system. The salesperson Philip Santangelo was attentive and was always quick to respond. He was the reason I chose SUNation to install my system. He was able to guide me through the entire process at my pace. I highly recommend using SUNation Solar Systems. If you have the opportunity I would highly advice using him as well.

2022-02-03Best decision ever. Salesperson Brian Murphy excellent and thorough. Did not over sell on panels. Honesty is important to me. The 2 people that came over to inspect the roof top notch. We’re too close to the airport so their drone couldn’t get approval from the airport. Instead of calling it a day they whipped out a ladder and climbed on up there. ( I have a Very high roof). That young lady ran up that ladder like nobody’s business!! Kudos to you! Timelines excellent. 2 maybe 3 months from sign to functional units. Plus they were running a promotion that they would pay my electric during that time. Made it in time for 2021 tax rebate which was my concern, especially since I signed so late in the year. Installation was quick and seamless, 26 panels in 1 day. That’s just seems huge to me. No mess. Clean crew and equipment, and vehicles. Also, can’t forget you office folks… payment processing and scheduling was easy and each representative was a pleasure to speak with. Courteous, kind, had a sense of humor and great follow up. Check them out on LinkedIn they do a lot of good deeds and work for the community, and animals. If you’re considering solar go with SUNation. You will not be disappointed.

2022-04-20I cant say enough good things about SUNation. We had installed solar panels on our previous house, but moving to Long Island had to start all over again. We feel lucky to have found them, after several not-confidence-inspiring interactions with bigger name nationwide companies. The SUNation salesman was very knowledgeable, and very honest- he actually talked us out of an extra we thought we wanted, because it didnt make sense. Working out the rooftop design was also a good experience; we went back and forth a couple of times and the team was responsive. The install crew was professional and finished the job right on time, no mess. We had a post-production issue with the Sense detector we put in our circuit panel, and they sent a team back to troubleshoot. Our go-live date was last November, and we have been producing (substantially) more than we use ever since. Monthly electrical bill went from $526 to a $15 connect fee. Were excited to upgrade to a 2nd electric car, electric garden machinery, and hopefully soon a heat pump too. I would 100% recommend SUNation, without any reservations, for any home solar project. I dont even have any constructive suggestions for them, other than to keep up the good work.

2022-07-15When John Leach proposed our Solar plan for us, we thought it was too good to be true! He thoroughly walked us through the solar process, equipment, manual, and finances. The SUNation team was quick and professional when installing our panels. Since then, our electric bill quickly vanished! We are so pleased to have no bill even with running our Central AC, pool heater, and more through our electric. SUNation also contacted us when they saw a problem was wrong with a panel, and the team quickly came when we noticed one of the animal guards was a little shifted. 2021-12-14We are very pleased with our SUNation Solar installation. Our salesman Philip S. was terrific from day one. He came to our house and clearly explained the benefits and process to us. We wanted to get a new roof installed first and we needed to remove some trees. He recommended a roofing company and a tree removal company to us that worked out well according to our plans and to the solar project timeline. He was also very communicative throughout the project, even visiting us on the day of installation. The type of customer service one expects from a salesperson. The installation team was also very polite and did a fantastic job with the installation (very clean setup and electrical wiring). We highly recommend SUNation. Their entire team (field and office) are very communicative, resourceful, and provide great customer service!

2022-04-13We joined SUNation to take part in the community solar program on the recommendation of a close friend who had already enrolled. At first I was skeptical about the savings, so I reached out to SUNation as well some other companies. SUNation was the first to reply to me and they did so in great detail that was informative and included a video to summarize the benefits of community solar. They also followed up with me to see if I had any questions and were not forceful in any way which turned me off from other companies. After I watched their informational video and got to understand the program more, I decided to give it a try. After being a member for over a year, I can say for sure that after joining the community solar program, we have saved hundreds of dollars off our electric bill this past year. Additionally, the director of the community solar program sends out periodic emails outlining our savings as well as reviewing whether there is a need to purchase more based on my usage. In my opinion, the community solar program offered by SUNation is the easiest most seamless program for any utility I currently use.

2022-04-164/16/22 My Mom has subscribed to the SUNation service since April 2020. She had asked me to review the service in early 2021.I have been tracking the data monthly since then and can say with complete confidence that, not only is SUNation providing consistent, reliable power generated by the Sun to supply my Mom with all her energy needs, my Mom is saving significant money (about 25%) on her electricity bill as well. SUNation has always answered any questions we have and the coordination of the billing with PSEG has been seamless. We highly recommend SUNation to anyone in their market area.
