A Great Campground for family and friends. Love that it is aimed towards kids with a train. I went last June for a campout and I am going again this year. It is a beautiful place to camp for the weekend. Campsites have water and electric. In ground swimming pool and big campsites if you reserve one that is in the L section.
The camo is really fun and camp efficient for families, how ever the remote location makes it difficult for if an emergency takes place and the lack of data service in the woods allows the owners to have a fee paid for wifi, not very good for someone needing to work while on vacation.

2021-07-29Nice, very quiet campground. Run by caring people. When I first got there, they were working on a fundraiser for children with cancer - they are those kind of people. Its not a fancy place but everything works well and the staff is attentive to the needs of the guests. I had to leave a day early and they actually volunteered to refund the fee for that day (I dare you to find another camp that would have done that without being asked).PS: there are no sunflowers growing here, that was literally the only surprise.

2021-05-05Definitely a campsite reminiscent of my childhood, a little rough around the edges, truly dated reservation tracking (i ended up needing to swap sites with another customer that had the same first name due to the confusion it caused).Playground facilities are definitely older but entertaining for most of the target audience (but not meant for toddlers/anyone under 4).Sites arent super spacious but adequate - most of them seem to be set-up as pull through sites which makes parking much easier. There are a few trails to explore but I wouldnt call them anything more than an hour or two of entertainment with little kids. Creek areas are nice as well and another option for exploring. Lots of fossils to be found! We werent able to check out the pool but it seems like it would be wonderful mid summer on a hot day.Tractor pulled barrel train was a wonderful highlight our second night there but be ready as it fills up fast. They should extend the activity time a bit to make sure everyone gets a chance to ride (we talked the driver in to a second trip as our youngest didnt make the first trip). All in all a family friend experience with lots of old school throw backs. Owners are super nice but they could work on their organization a bit (granted it was the first weekend of the camping season).

2021-04-16This is a very friendly place. the creek is great to just take a walk thru, its very shallow and clean. the pool is 8 ft deep, clean and hardly used. the atmosphere is easy-going and not loaded with a lot of redundant rules. a pond for fishing and a huge mountain of woods for exploring nature. week-days, the place is near empty and allows for a peaceful area to walk your dog.

2021-09-18Lovely campground on a mountain near Corning, NY. Tight spots but that seems to be the norm in private campgrounds these days. The owner changed our site and put us in a better spot than originally assigned and he helped back us up and get settled. Mostly seasonals but their sites are clean and well kept. We lucked out with an end site. Nice pool, and a crick where many families played in the water and were catching little fish and frogs. This is a GREAT campground for families. We ended up here because our reservations at Tompkins on Cowanesque Lake were cancelled due to flooding. I would have given it 5 stars but there was a lot of dog barking that was ridiculous and annoying. The people across from us were very nice but they had an actual kennel with 4 dogs and they barked constantly when the owners were not right there.

2019-10-15My wife and I were on vacation and wanted a campground near Corning, N.Y. We found Sunflower Acres and found it to be in a perfect location for local sightseeing. Many people from the area have year round sites but seasonal setups where they park and go on weekends, etc. We originally paid for two nights, but liked it so much we stayed until they closed the campground for the winter season. We would recommend this campground to others.

2018-08-21Great campground. The road coming in is a little bumpy, but not terrible. Very friendly and accomodating staff. Decent laundry facilities. 4 washers and 4 dryers. $1.00 wash, $1.00 dry. Swimming pool and play ground. We had a nice pull through, full hook-up spot. Paid $35. Only down side is wifi and phone reception was not great. Would definitely stay here again!
