My wife and our two kids stayed there for one night, the suite has two rooms and a very small bath, but everything was clean, nice, and comfy. Our reservation was including breakfast, and they did not mention that they do not serve it due to covid! The free parking is a huge plus.
The supposedly owner of the motel is beyond rude and exhibits a lot of implicit racial bias. Some rooms have refrigerators and others do not. I had to stay there two nights in Emergency and requested a room with a refrigerator and the woman at the front desk blew up on me. Started pushing all kinds of stereotypes in her verbal speech towards me. The place is one star at best, don’t recommend anyone stay. And there is no continental breakfast anything even though such false advertisement exists online stating so and the motel itself. Never again.
The worst place to stay, the room was dirty as hell. The house keeping was rude and tried to say it was check out time for me and didn’t realize the room was wrong room and was incredibly rude. They accused me of bringing a ton of people to sleep in my room even tho I was out of the room most of the time except to go here and sleep. Whoever the woman was working the front desk is the worst. Don’t stay here unless you want to catch a bad day and stay in a smelly room.
Its very cheap to stay here for one night or a couple. The room I got was organized and clean for our use. It was simple and small. The quality of the beds here our low; for light sleepers like me, I definitely had to toss and turn to find a comfortable position. The sheets are a little thin, and the pillows werent that fluffy. The bathroom was extremely clean which is a plus. You can tell they scrub the bathroom floor. Its kind of hard to have a personal night with a loved one when the walls are a little thin. Its easy to hear other roommates and motel room neighbors. The staff here are okay; not phenomenal at giving customer service but averagely good. To be honest I dont like the location of this Super 8 because it is right across the street from Long Island City High School, and thats a little concerning to me, given the risk of safety for teens and their after school activities in this area. Otherwise, my stay here was average and okay.
Front desk lady that works in the morning was VERY rude and bothered my boyfriend everytime he came in and out of the hotel. He models so we I understand she may have had a crush. But it was inappropriate and I had to ask her to leave him alone she became verbally aggressive and rude. Had to stay because of work in the area Ill definitely stay somewhere else next timeGood neighborhood, great diner, free parking behind the hotel, cheap stayOverall not bad
Loved this place, two bedrooms, two beds in one and one in the other, very spacious and cheap by New York standards. Views of Empire State and Chrysler buildings out the window. Supermarket and many dining options close by, easy commute to Manhattan by Q100 bus and then F or E trains. Very safe area, I walked at night and never felt in any danger. Front desk and housecleaning staff were wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was basic but very good and a bonus to have it provided. Highly recommended.
If you dont mind music blasting all night than this is the motel for you. This is simply a party motel, so if you want to party this is the motel for you. Motel no sleep. Never again, between 2 rooms that just party all night. Front desk seem not to care one bit. I think Wyndham should remove from its chain, this motel is not Wyndham quality!!!!
I loved this place. If you want a five star hotel, this is not it. However, the staff (Zully I believe her name is) was amazing. She was fantastic at the front desk. All the staff we encountered were kind and helpful. They have free breakfast, which was helpful. Limited but still was a big bonus with 3 kids. The room was outdated but very clean and comfortable. There is free parking and a bus stop right out front. The train station is a short walk away. There was a fridge in the room, tv with a good amount of channels and close by food that delivers. The price was great and couldnt have asked for more. Will definitely stay here again.
Ive stayed at this super 8 two nights because just visit Newyork city .it was pretty good stay only worst part in new York city is parking problem. But this location has huge parking lot behind the building. So its safe and staff members also very friendly and helpful. Room was very cleaned, comfortable bed very clean blankets and cleaned bathrooms hot shower.i definitely be back whenever Ill get a chance to visit New York and definitely recommend this location to my all friends and family members
Nice, quiet hotel across from a school, but only a short walk from some great places to eat and interesting sites. Bit of a hike to the Subway, but the hotel has guaranteed parking. The only reason I didnt rate it higher was our air conditioner gave off the smell of urine so we shut it off and had the window open the whole time.
Came to check in. Paid for the room. Got my card to open to a dirty room. So I come back calmly, and ask for a clean room. They informed me because I paid a specific price that they would not give me another room but accept the room I paid for. A dirty room? they didn’t want to compromise and stated to take my money back and check out.
It was a decent place to stay. Had 3 queen beds so that was nice. They also check in early and park in their lot after we checkout so we did not have to find parking for a day. I did have an odd smell when we got there but after 12 hours with the Ac at 60 to cool the room off.
I stayed at the Super 8 on 14th and Broadway in June 2018 during a trip to New York City. The hotel was quiet and the room was clean. Being right across the street from a school leads me to believe the area is at least marginally safe (for New York) and we never had a single bit of trouble while we were there.Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The night auditor was friendly and helpful, and we will definitely stay here again when we return to New York.
Gross hotel and rude front desk employee. I asked to switch rooms after being out in one that had long black hairs and mold on the ceiling and he asked me why! Wyndham apologized after Id called but I wont be back if my work has me in the area again, let my co-workers know too
PROS- Rooms were clean, sheets were clean, decent size room for New York, large fridge, microwave (so I could heat up leftovers and not eat out for EVERY meal). The BEST PART was the customer service. The morning front desk agent went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Our flight came in at 9am, check in time is 3pm. She held our bags up until 1:30pm and let us check in EARLY as soon as a room was available. She also let us check out late (12pm) after another agent said it wasnt possible. Walking distance to convenience stores and restaurants and free WiFi. CONS- Its clearly an older hotel, needs renovation, nothing fancy and thats to be expected. There is NO elevator and the tv channels were staticky. I would recommend and I would stay again.
Dont even bother booking a room here. They say theres a breakfast, its only cereal any coffee, no milk. At night the whole first floor smells like weed, throughout the whole day the second floor smells like cigarettes in the hall. Some of the staff is friendly, the rest not so much. We saw prostitutes working as we were getting back to hotel. Check in is at 3pm, and check out is 11am. They will be knocking on your door at 11am sharp to get you out but if you need your room serviced they dont even bother. Card key doesnt always work. If you do decide to book your hotel here youre about 15 minutes from the E train, youll want to check out the 24/7 diner up the street, a couple good pizza places within walking distance + delivery, close to the socrates sculpture park. The cons: lack luster service, expensive for what you get, employees smoke weed while on the clock, very few working channels (about 9 channels, TV does have HDMI though), prostitutes, when we stayed there were kids screaming and banging sounds of all kinds every night/morning, outdated rooms, bathroom floors get dangerously slippery after a shower, small and poor quality TVs, bare minimum breakfast, early check out time with employees harassing you to leave, no elevator.
It was a typical Super 8. Budget room, nothing special, clean enough. One thing I loved was the check in person. He was super helpful. We were sure of the best way to get where we wanted to go. He pulled out a subway map, explained how everything worked, circled everything we needed and seemed excited and happy to help us out.
A decent place to stay for two guys in their 20s. The free on-site parking is a HUGE plus. They have a nice continental breakfast of coffee, cereal (milk is in the silver pitcher), and a limited variety of pasteries. They also have free WiFi which worked flawlessly during our stay! The beds are comfy, and while the bathrooms are small, they are surprisingly clean. The subway is a 10 minute walk away (no sweat for two guys in their 20s), but they also have a bus stop located right outside the hotel and plenty of Lyft/Uber service nearby. But by far the coolest part of our stay was being able to order pizza directly to our hotel room at 1am!One downside is that our room smelled kinda funny upon entry...which is why I only give it 4 stars instead of 5. BUT COME ON...ITS A SUPER 8 IN QUEENS. If youre going in with high expectations, youre just ASKING to be disappointed. Its honestly not that bad and we were reasonably satisfied with our stay.
Terrible. Just plain terrible. No elevators, had to drag my luggage to the 2nd floor with a very narrow staircase. Charged us 130$ for a non smoking double bed room which when the door opened reeked the hallway of smoke. If it was 70$ that would be a good stay but for that price no thanks.
For a super 8, it was exactly as expected. The manager was very kind and helped us with an issue for to booking and have is a discount. The room was clean and orderly when we arrived, as well as nice and cold as it was humid. The only reason Im docking a star is due to the smell of ammonia coming from the window HVAC unit. It was most notified when we had it on.
The lady there was super friendly and helpful!! She got us what we wanted and helped us get a Taxi ride to the airport as well. The gentleman there was also friendly and even supportive. I really appericate them both and wanted give them 5 stars for their kind gesture to me and my sister!!
Zully and Wilfredo (Willie) made this stay a delight! Good communication and very helpful, felt like staying with old friends. We are confident enough to come back in the near future...cleaning staff did well. Beds and pillows are excellent, bathroom is small as is everything in NY area
One.. theres no smoking signs all over the place.. buy yet the smell of cigs and weed are present throughout the premises..Two... I stayed for 12 nights.. I was asked at least five times to provide proof I was a resident at this place as soon as I walked in..I came down to breakfast with a group of people who were staying there also and was the only one asked if I stayed there then asked for my room number to verify.. 5 times!!Lastly..for now.. they sell complimentary tooth brushes and toothpaste for 3$
Great for what it is: a 2-star motel with smoking allowed in some rooms, cheap, free parking, and always something available. Dont expect a towel larger than a dinner napkin or toiletries, make sure you take the bed spread off the bed and dont step barefoot on the bathroom floor.
Located in Long Island City, but when walking outside, you can see Manhattan already. To reach it, walk down Broadway towards the metro. Easy hop on and 15 minutes to Times Sq.Hotel itself is a two level motel with such facilities. Nothing fancy, but does the trick. Has 24 hour staff available as well as snack machines. if in need of food, walk down Broadway for a few 24 hour supermarkets.Place is easy to locate, easy to reach and is in a quiet neighborhood, opposite a large school and in a low density neighborhood mostly. City renewal plans are visible nearby. No issues with safety late night/early morning.
Everything perfect, trip with my family, there are 5 of us, they gave us a room with two rooms. Very clean, comfortable, new beds. Ice cream maker and microwave in the room. Breakfast, basic, but breakfast at last. If someone comes with a car, how much with parking. The truth is, for the price it is excellent.
Small room with a musty smell (from the carpet). The bathroom walls were falling off. Soulless reception. There is no space for breakfast, it is necessary to bring it up to the room. Dont have a elevator. It is 5 min from a bus stop and 15 min from the nearest metro station (yellow line). There is a 24-hour supermarket and restaurant about a 7-minute walk away.

2022-05-09This is my first bad review on Google and Booking, the worst hotel Ive stayed in in my 15 years of business travel experience.Their receptionist was a rude woman and they even couldnt use a credit card with a magnetic strip, so I had to pay them hundreds of dollars in cash. The first floor room I stayed in was very dirty, tables, chairs, carpets, curtains were all moldy, and the loud air conditioner gave off an extremely unpleasant smell. The lock of the window is broken, the window of the room on the 1st floor can be opened directly from the outside. And the woman at the front desk refused to change my room, she just said to me rudely: Our hotel is safe, what are you worried about? Their WiFi Super8LIC couldnt connect. When I went to bed at night, I found that there was no quilt on the bed at all, only a very thin cloth. The soundproofing of the room was very poor, the floor was making noises and the whole night was noisy, cold and restless. Too bad they charge $160 for a room like this, never come here unless you want the worst hotel ever!

2022-04-17Great commute to Manhattan and great parking. Very noisy building. Employees loud and always hanging out in lobby. Breakfast, there is no breakfast, its always finished. Rooms are clean. Every other negative review is on spot.

2022-05-28This place was a really good location, very affordable for someone on a tight budget. The only reason I gave 4 stars was the vacuuming.... Someone felt the need to vacuum at the worst times to vacuum. Every day at 5-6am or 11pm until after midnight. Not sure why those were the allotted hours for vacuuming

2022-06-23People were friendly. The location was pretty close to the airport. The room smelled very bad and the curtains had a blood stain on them.

2021-11-29Positive: Friendly, fast check-in, very clean and modern room. A couple short blocks to subway entrance, many restaurants, shops, and bars close by. Safe and spacious parking lot in the back is a HUGE bonus in the city. Light snacks and coffee in the mornings. Negative: No issues with anything; had a nice, quiet stay!

2021-08-10My stay was uneventful. I was in town for two nights to attend my aunts funeral. Pretty much the only time I was in the room was to sleep and unwind. This is a older hotel, but it was okay for my needs. The best thing about this hotel is free parking (which in NYC is a BIG PLUS). The carpet in the room is overdue for a cleaning. The bottom of my slippers were black after walking around in there. Other than that, Id stay there again.
