The bakery is the best ! Overall the supermarket is pricey but there is no competition for at least a mile or so. On any given day ( when I have a car ) I will always opt for ShopRite for value , freshness and diverse products but this market is satisfactory and convenient.
Theres not much of an organic selection. They need to get with the times. People are eating organic now or at least trying to. You will not find organic meat here at all, not even chicken breast. Very limited organic fruits and vegetables. I will give them credit for being very clean. The staff is also nice and helpful.
This used to be a clean supermarket. It looks clean but when you get to the meat department it smells like something out right died. I got only mozzarella and tomatoes and it had a stale taste. How is this possible if they poured it the bowl. Took it backManager refusedI don’t buy the meat there because my son has gotten food poisoning off of the chicken legs and thighsBeware a place that smells bad early in the morning and clot x in the afternoon is not a clean place. We will not be going back.
The worst customer service I’ve ever had! I asked the cashier for a courtesy swipe because it was my first time shopping there and she said no. I was going to apply for a card but didn’t like the policy. Also the food gave me and my hubby very bad stomach issues and the store stinks. Don’t even bother going to this establishment.
Horrible Customer Service at this store. The Manager Angel is so rude. I went to grab something very quickly and got to the store at 8:48 and he did not let me inside even though their store closes at 9pm. He looked at me and turned his face saying I dont care. Such unprofessional, poor customer service, I dont know how he even became a Manager. I would travel extra miles and avoid going to this store and give my business.
Went by to pick up a few things. I rarely come here and once again my cashier was not the nicest or most helpful. Thankfully the manager rectified the over charge and was pleasant. This is sad as this has been the type of experience I have received for years at Foodtown and why I stick to Key Food and ordering online. Your young staff need to be trained on people skills.
Super Foodtown is a very clean very spacious supermarket. Very close to local transportation. Always good sales going on. Beautiful Italian deli. Catering to all your needs. And beautiful Bakery where theyre always picking on the premises fresh bread daily. Awesome neighborhood supermarket.
Not exactly sure what it is but not totally into this supermarket. I find it to have limited selection and overpriced items. The best thing about it is the fresh baked Bread. It is some of the best bread Ive ever had. It is made daily and even though there are tons of it it occasionally does sell out. The employees are not very friendly at all (especially the front manager woman, always nasty) except for a few nice people in the deli department. Pretty small supermarket and even though there is a parking lot its usually pretty full. Although it is right down the street from me I prefer to drive to a larger Supermarket with more selection. Dont really appreciate the produce too much from here but I will shop here occasionally for certain things when they are on sale. Overall not my cup of tea but a good spot to buy something if you need one or two items quickly.
This place is great for groceries with very moderate prices. I was here few days and I’m glad I shopped here. The staffers are super friendly and courteous. It’s pretty close to the road and can be easily seen from a car in normal traffic. There’s also wheelchair accessible entrance and parking for the differently able.
Only thing that makes this store worth it is the fresh baked Italian bread. The guy does a really great job with the bread. It is so fresh and delicious with everything. Sandwich, pasta, butter anything. Bagels are great also even some of the already prepared store meals are good. The deli section is pretty good and most of the guys and Ladies are really nice and helpful. Only downfall is there is always a crazy line for deli. For most part lines are never to long to check out when I go. Biggest downfalls are the very small selection cause of size and the employees. Very very nasty employees. Literally every single cashier for the most part is very nasty and unfriendly. Never acknowledges you or says thanks. So many times just sitting on their cell phones or chatting with other employees. Downfall for sure. Never buy my meat or produce. not worth it at all except the bread area.
The person who was at the cold cut station slicing and order of cheese and turkey i gave him didnt change his gloves after he repeatedly was touching his face mask to adjusted, and the mask was visually dirty. Besides that the place looks clean. Supermarkets, People are watching, please clean your hands and change your gloves.
It was clean. Many of the staff didnt understand simple questions in English. I keep runnjng into some of the staff hidden in pockets of the store gossiping. They didnt have anyone cleaning shopping carts for Covid 19. Shopping carts not maintained outside and were flying to cars
Convient, good prices and often even better than the big chain stores. Clean! Great bakery and deli section. Produce is always fresh and nicely presented. I love the recent renovations and additions of healthier/organic products. I dont have to shop elsewhere to have vegan options. I like that they care about the neighborhood and stay on top of things, the place is clean and they are attentive to customers. I used to live in New Rochelle and go to Food Town there, but I like this one better, especially the deli and fresh baked rolls.
So heres the deal...the Bronx has Vegan Pizza! Seriously no really it does.. Here the scope ... so there is this Foodtown supermarket right off the Bruckner in this store they have a pizzeria. Yup youheard right! Ask for Nic...they can make anything l. This spot is Amazing..anytime of pizza artichoke of course doent hurt that this place is afterall located within a restaurant.
Almost have everything you may need. This supermarket is very well assorted. The only thing I can say is that although they have many cheeses, they are lacking a few that I was particularly after. Although they have fresh bread, they lack the variety of styles of it. So.e other supermarkets slice their fresh bake bread and include whole wheat breads in many varieties. A good place to shop nonetheless.
The only thing good about this place is the fresh bread.. its actually amazing and one of the best breads Ive had. The produce is ALWAYS disgusting... Other than that very small, very overpriced and usually really nasty and rude employees especially the front end manager lady!!! Please get out of the customer service Field or perhaps get a better attitude.
I was buying meat and I didnt know about the cuts. To my surprise a girl in the meat section named Ari took the time and shared her wealth of knowledge and enabled me to select the perfect cuts of meat. This is incredible because she was extremely busy cutting and rapping meat. Most stores they would refer you to someone else. She has excellent customer service and made my meal a success. She is a gem. Thank you Foodtown.
I go to Foodtown on an almost daily basis, whether its for my family of 5 or just to grab lunch. Everyone is pleasant and the interior has been nicely renovated. The aisles are relatively small, but thats normal for a store in the Bronx. Just be sure to check expiration dates. I have occasionally seen or purchased items that were already expired.
Bud Light brewmasters take pride in knowing they make the hardest style of beer to brew – light lager. ... Together these beers form the ultimate citrus combo for a taste thats unmistakably summer. Bud Light Lime is available nationwide and Bud Light Orange is available nationwide from April through September.Apr 9, 2018
Newly renovated. Most people who work there are friendly. Nothing special on the shelves. Not a lot of variety; Just basic items but the place is clean and well stocked. My biggest complaint is that employees smoke under the enclosure that encases the entrance and exit, making it impossible to avoid inhaling the carcinogens. For that very reason, I only shop there when absolutely necessary.
The high point of this market definitely comes from the fresh bread bakery, the deli and fresh fish section. The produce is also of good quality but on the negative side the sales are average and deals are not nearly as competitive to places like Stop and Shop or Western Beef. You get a lot less for your money but the trade off is you get quality that equals or surpasses that of the larger supermarket chains
A bunch of cashiers, isles just wide enough to get your grocery cart through. I felt claustrophobic. They have a counter where you can purchase a slice of pizza but no seating area. And no signage at the back end of the isles listing whats there. Small parking lot and a staircase to get in and out.
Was on a very limited budget this week so I looked through the circular and saw alot of my usual necessities were on sale so I cross referenced the sale items with a fee coupons i had .I was in and out and saved over 50 bucks with my strategy. Shelves were stocked and even found a few deals that werent announced in the circular.
I love the pizzeria located here - pizza gusta. They are the only place in the Bronx where you can get a vegan pie with vegan protein (like sausage or pepperoni). Also, I love foodtown supermarkets in general. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star is because their vegan/vegeterian selection is quite small compared to other food towns I have visited.
This foodtown has large parking lot, many shopping carts, the store is always kept clean, friendly and helpful staff, great produce section and always fresh, I like the wide Isles, great selection of meats and fresh, great selection of pasties and deserts especially some of my favorite cheesecakes, the cashiers are pretty quick also, this supermarket is always well recommended.
This place is clean and has great service but not that impressive of a selection. Couldnt find zyrtec allergy meds, (they have claritin and allegra and its in a small glass case that you need to ask to find) and just short on more popular items. But they get stars for being clean!

2022-01-19Love this supermarket. So much variety, and specialty to choose from for who have specialized diets. Have found so many hard to find foods. A decent amount of ethnic ingredients. Clean, bright. Ive gone during various time and checkout lines have never been long standing. Cashiers are quick, nice, and cautious during these times in my visits

2022-05-11Hey guys, Ive entered this place twice, I go straight to the Deli to Order. I dont care much for the side comment from the Deli person that assumes that everyone that walks in is either in a Hurry or Crumpy. Just keep your comments to yourself,, Dont make insults because the line gets a little long and your forced to work. There are other stores to shop at.
