Market 32 in other cities:
Very surprised by selection, freshness of produce, cleanliness and stained smell in entire building. Even working A/C couldnt get rid off it. Dont you think you could do it prior July 2021? Or simply close entire store for a week, pull out all merchandise, donate to local regional food bank, city missions, shelters, elderly independent living facilities, HATAS, clean entire coolers, shelters, disinfect with Lysol not alcohol and restock with the fresh produce, merchandise and meat, dairy, fish, deli and whatever you have???? Very disappointed by that location of Market 32 as part of Price Choppers as customer, value since 2011. Whose fault HR or local management ???Have a great Columbus Day!!!!!
The shopping experience at the Brunswick Market 32,seems to get better with each trip. With the added unit of selected spices, flavors, herbs, and saute components,it can almost give the most avid shopper, positive trauma😁. The staff at this location seem to be on their game, and possess a solid knowledge base of the store. These are situations and components, that keep the community shopping there consistently.
I went after work. It was not packed. The cashier was very nice..helpful n friendly. She even helped pack my cart. She cleaned off the counter ( first asked me if I wanted it cleaned ). Very polite. I said a four because I was charged extra for a soda (only 99 cents on sale). I asked to buy the bags that were on counter and she said they are a dollar then pointed out fifty cents ones so I got four as it would be easier to carry and they were nice large size bags. She went above and beyond with her manners. Much appreciated definitely.
Smaller than some of the other Market 32 locations in the area, so selection can be a bit limited, but great for quick trips in the off-hours to pick up something you need. It can get a bit crowded during peak times, as the checkout area isnt very large, but outside of those times, its generally easy, fast shopping.
Very dissatisfied with my visit as I had to make a return at customer service dept 2nd in line for at least 15 minutes while the customer service rep was on dealing with money transfer with customer at the counter. The representative got on the telephone standing doing nothing obviously on hold as 4 more customers arrive in line behind me over this 15 minute wait I witnessed 2 employees exit office inside the customer service dept. Apparently supervisors none concerned about the ever growing line behind me as the representative continues to hold on phone. So I exit this line and go towards the direction of these supervisors standing in front of the store idle, and explain the situation, and she opens a register to accept my return but not first asking if there where any others in line behind me at customer service dept, and I explained yes at least 5 she stuck her head up toward isle 4 and didnt see anyone and very rudely stated no there isnt without looking any further implying I was lying. I explained the customers where lined in isle 5 behind where I left my cart in line and she did not care one bit. She very rudely finished my transaction and went back to the front corner of the store completely disrespecting me and with no concerns for these customers standing and waiting a ridiculous amount of time in that line. I wish there was a 0 rating because 1 is giving to much credit for my experience there.
I dont like market 32 or the name Price chopper but it was a real helpful person in the food court she was very if it was up to me Id give her a raise or customer appreciation I know how Price chopper works are market 32 works if you really cared about your store you would help customers get out faster easier in a Safeway was shut out to the employees who take the bus not allowed to get tips and bonuses well the people up top get cake and ice cream you have to deal with the wish wish the bus would hurry up which time go by quick wished his boss will get off my behind when Im the only one doing the work but everybody goes on break wish the person taking a long time going to the bathroom wish this boss would stop calling me when the other person was twice as long as me shout out to all the who work overnights shout out to the people who closed deli in food court always got a served at last customer while missing your bus or possibility a ride home or wish you got a tip so you can call a cab home when its a blizzard or raining hard all night
Terrible place work experience, got harassed and came in today just to find out , the deli assistant manager still works there…. Obviously they don’t care ,they just need people so I left . And terrible managers . Especially store manager Brian . Takes everything as a joke.
Market 32, aka Price Chopper. I only went there to purchase Stouffers Flat Bread. I searched every aisle and asked two employees that were clueless, and didnt bother to assist. I finally found it on my own in the Bakery. Section, overpriced, but purchased two packs. One pack fresh, the other growing mold already. Thats the way Market 32 is. Be careful what you buy there!
I walk to this location from my job every Monday on my lunch break for exercise and a salad (which are great). Last month after I paid for the salad, the cashier refused to give me a bag, said I had to provide one or a paper one was avail for 5¢. Of course since I walked there I had no cash, certainly no bag on me. I explained this to her & told her l can stop by after work and give her a quarter for giving me the bag on honor system. She refused on the grounds that another cashier might be there not her (huh?)! Its 5¢...right? I walked back to work w the salad in my hand and I was fuming! Please train your cashiers to have common sense when it comes to Customer Service. I did fill out the survey, so you already have this info.Thanks.
Good Location, Easy to see from the street. Mask/Covid-19 Regulations are VERY STRONGLY, CLEARLY enforced by AUDITORY, PHYSICAL, & VISIBLE ways! Messages are played over the loud speakers repeatedly inside/outside of the store on both Entrance Only Side & Exit ONLY side. There are Signs/Notices posted @ EVERY Door. They have sanitizing stations for hands, carts, & baskets that are placed throughout entire store!(Especially near produce, meats, seafood, deli, bakery, café/Bistro/Staff prepared/cold & hot in-store/made to order foods, any self-service, perishable, unpackaged, raw, & fresh food Items, & @ full & self service Check-outs. Registers are Cleaned & Sanitized after ALMOST EVERY customers transaction is complete & before the next one can begin. Comfortable Friendly environment/employees & Careful, Respectful, & Helpful Staff, Organized & Well stocked Merchandise made my 1st trip here a breeze! Thank You!! Although, This location is a little smaller than most others so it was a little crowded.(especially by Pandemic standards). The only actual critical thing I can say is that the parking lot was so over full that we almost decided to head to another store because we assumed the store would be shoulder to shoulder packed. It wasnt by any means just a little crowded. I think the parking lots size & odd layout along with the multiple awkwardly placed entrances made it look like it was the night before Thanksgiving!😉😆 Since I just moved to Albany a few weeks ago, My family has now made this Our Newest Neighborhood go to location for close to home & smaller size Grocery List Shopping. Id recommend this location to anyone & everyone! 😊
Produce isnt always ripe, especially berries and such. If you want fresh produce youre better off going to the Save a Lot on Central Ave. No waiting for fruit to ripen! That aside, they have a good variety for all diets and eaters given the space. Most prices are reasonable and the meat is always fresh.
Fantastic service always! Ive been shopping here for years! Long term staff like Donna and Nancy know you by name. I love the neighborhood feel here. The store is always clean and has a great fresh produce department. I also like the fact that its a smaller place and doesnt require to much walking to get everything.
No wonder Globus seeks investor to spread and improve stores. But all they need is better training and staff. Manager lite. Cashiers...the experience we remember..bad! They dont ask company questions...they are surly. Miserable. Show they dont care about their job or reflection they make for company. Expand ? Why not train. Hire those desiring to work. Pay well. A business is only as good as its product. Premium grocery at premium prices needs consistent premium service!
So very disappointed. Not a good representation of the price chopper brand. Messy store, several customers without masks, employees wearing their mask below their noses, employees playing and texting on their phone instead of cashing out customers. I had a large order and the cashier didn’t even offer to assist bag items, and instead texted on his phone and started cashing out the next customer while I was still bagging. Employee in the main store literally parked boxes of stock to go out in front of my shopping cart more than once and blocked the aisles. I hope that management addresses some of these issues for a better shopping experience
It almost feels like a whole new store after the renovations. Its clean, its bright and maybe its just those playing tricks on me, but the selection seems better as well. We now shop here more than we ever did pre-renovation where it was just for quick emergency stuff. It still lacks some of the features of larger stores, like a custom counter for Meat & Seafood - but beyond that I can finally say we have a solid neighborhood grocery store.
The produce quality is ok. A bigger selection would be nice. The employees are not always the most helpful. I had 2 employees chatting and staring at me as I bagged my own groceries. That was after it appeared like a girl was walking over to help me, then I realized I was bagging my own and went and clocked out and left.
Good: Store looks clean and recently recently renovated. Great place for quality meats. Bad: Quite expensive for a supermarket. Very long lines at checkout. Store requires a free membership card in order to get sale prices (which arent even usually great deals) so that they can track shoppers habits. Dont be fooled by the name: this is just a Price Chopper that they are trying to make fancy to justify their terrible prices. I recommend getting groceries elsewhere.
I didnt care for the cashier she was talking to the lady behind me the woman had ask the cashier what kind of card I was using and the cashier had responded very loudly its a food stamp card to buy food at first I was mortified but then I held my head up and cash out but told my son I would never go to this market place again just not my environment to shop there. Sorry I couldnt give this a good rating
Would personally boycott this place. When I tried to report someone with an animal in the car at over a hundred degrees, that was obviously struggling to breathe, they wasted time by coming out to see where the car was and whose car it was, then proceeded to help the person get their stuff out to the car before the cops could get there totally the opposite of what should have been done.Basically all I got for trying to help an animal was mind your own business.Animal cruelty is everyones business.
Staff is hilariously unhelpful or unfriendly. some straight up avoid customers so they dont have to help. once i was having issues with one of the self-checkout machines, so i asked the woman at the counter, and she literally said not my problem, dont ask me. after asking the only other employee i could find for help, they pointed me to the woman i had just talked to and told me oh she is in charge of self-checkout. how do you mess up THIS bad with staffing? hahaha.
Year later:Asked five (6) employees on floor: where are tortillas? Not one knew. One took me Wraps at the deli.Same blind white haired cashier gossiping away from register not working. No other cashier on floor.Self check machine doesnt work. Had to be cleared Free every item Atrendent stood complaining how she hated Market 32...hates working here..hate doing everyones job.Again my time is meaningless. No one had knowledge or works in store.Sane employees. So management has done nothing to actually fix the issue.8:59 am Feb 28, 2020
My new frequent stop because of its proximity to my neighborhood if you dont feel like driving 15 mins to Walmart. Theres quite a bit of parking which is good for the area. A very small selection for produce and they dont stock the things I usually buy (i.e. brown rice). But if youre looking for something quick, this is ok and theres a big beer section refrigerated.
Filthy & disgusting. Mouse poop covered the sugar aisle specifically. The meat is rotting specifically the ground beef, inside of the bulk is brown the outside is red. If you found a buggy of food left in the sugar aisle with approximately $200. in food, it was mine. I am not on SNAP or any other assistance for those who think that I shouldnt be complaining. One star rating is a gift.
Market 32 is great, when products are on sale, however with that being said, I still do not shop here when I am buying my monthly groceries. I shop at ShopRite. ShopRite has better prices, savings, and have a variety of ethnic products. Per month I save on average, 150.00! I have never saved that much shopping at Market 32 formerly known as Price Chopper. However, the customer service at Market 32 is by far BETTER which makes my shopping enjoyable 😉
Cant beat the location but CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS not the actually customer service booth but the cashiers are constantly rude. THEY DONT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE CUSTOMERS. Dont check out at register 9 because youll be surrounded by employees and still bag your own groceries.
If you have edge advantage card you will offer on many products in the market 32. If you dont have one you can at bill counter they can help you out. Still few products are bit costlier than the Wal-Mart but still u can get cash back bonus for every purchase through credit card which not available for Wal-Mart purchase. My experiences with market 32 is really good
I went there twice to get my babies WIC foods and our SNAP groceries.. The staff/cashiers Were SO rude; gave me such a hard time... Like baby food I knew was allowed they had to check every one! I watched as they asked every other customer who paid for their groceries with a debit/credit card or cash if they needed help to their car. But they did not ask me, although it was obvious that I was really struggling with a cart full of food and two young children, plus all their stuff (stroller, cataracts, diaper bag, etc)! Not going back there... Unless Im a rich woman all of a sudden...
Its my local market. Its a short walk from my house. Theyre open 24-7. It isnt as large as a regular Price Chopper, but thats the point - its a neighborhood market, not a suburban supermarket. And the items they stock are the same price as the regular Price Chopper. Whats not to love?
I was very disappointed with my trip to this price chopper. I find their prices are very high even for basic items. I went to buy apples and the only option was a 5lbs bags of apples or huge apples that were 3.29 per lb. Especially since apples are in season, that is an outrageous price and very limited selection for fall/prime apple baking season.
Brown and green, the colors are already passe and they havent come close to remodelling the rest of the stores. This is what happens when you give the kids the keys to the car. The old car ran fine, but no, it needs new rims, new radio, and a funky paint job to reflect the times.Still no comparison to a Wegmans or Publix.
High prices, very very limited selections. The company redecorated the store, and vastly reduced the quality and variety of available groceries. Golub corporation is going to bottom line themselves out of business rapidly with the market 32 rebranding. Go ANYWHERE else if you have a car.
This place--and Market32 in general--have a tendency to label their prices in an ambiguous way: they pile all the tags together in the freezer, have 3 for $X deals where you have to buy 3, and list the AdvantEdge price way more prominently than the regular price. I never seem to know what the *real* cost of things is.
I had my boyfriend go in there to buy me a bag of chips and while he was there he grabbed the chips and started walking towards the front counter when a staff at this market 32 snatched the bag of chips out of his hands and told him to leave the store and to stop trying to steal from there when he had money he kept trying to tell her he had money but she blatantly ignored him and continued shoving him out of the store and told him not to come back

2022-03-31I could find almost anything and honestly its my fault for not asking someone as I should have but none the less it was clean and nice in there and the prices were affordable. Pork chops and chicken were a good price and large cooked shrimp are in sale right now buy one get one so go get yours!

2022-05-29Not a true supermarket in any sense. Expect downsizing in every department and lots of items out of stock. Its a quick in and out though.

2021-12-06Good selection, but prices on the higher side. Some days the fresh produce sections lacks variety. Store is clean and tidy. Staff is helpful. Gets crowded during weekends and evenings so shop at off-peak hours. Make sure to sanitize your cart.

2022-06-16I thought there was only one reason not to shop there, but they gave me 31 more. The cashiers need to go through custom service training. They dont say hello, goodbye, or have a nice day. The last time I was there the cashier refused to give me the total of the bill. They said, Its on the screen, you cant read?

2021-09-15Every time I come here I remember why I dont come in here. Im not exactly from this area. So, Im not a regular here (thankfully). The cashiers can be friendly but they definitely always think youre stealing. They try to be sneaky about it and one girl FELL trying to look under my stroller. I tried helping her up only to realize what she was doing. Just now, a man ran up behind me and my stroller only to circle back. Like, I get it, some moms with strollers steal. Give the patron a chance to make it passed the cashier with unpaid items BEFORE assuming or approaching. Since he startled me running up and being masked, I will commit to not coming back here. My local Market 32 knows me and that works for me since Im a black woman. At least they know, I dont steal.

2021-09-27I love this market 32, because it is small. It is easy to get in and out of most of the time. Market 32 isnt cheap and the small one has limited options, but they definitely have all the basics and usually not busy. Lots of the staff have been there a while and are friendly, professional and efficient.
