A very efficient supermarket for the consumer has in it most of the products for your day to day life. The problem is that the products are quite expensive. There are cheaper options. But overall if you are stuck you can buy here.
An excellent supermarket!Produce well displayed with some items at promotional prices.I would equally recommend their cooked vegetables and bean salads.Worthwhile a visit.
Check your receipts carefully before you leave. Often they’ll charge you more than what’s advertised on the sticker label. The only reason I end up here is if I need something in a pinch at weird hours. Otherwise, I gladly make the trek elsewhere.
Prices are typically 2 and 3x what they should be, but this is fairly standard for UES. What has finally put me off is the incredible rudeness. Self check-out customers wait for extended periods for help because the machines malfunction constantly. Unoccupied staff stand around chatting with each other instead of coming to help and are dismissive and rude to the point of being offensive - eye rolling, snippiness. Its like youre wasting their time by shopping there. Today, the machine kept cancelling my debit card transaction before I could put my pin number in. When I finally got a clerk to help me, she cancelled the transaction, yelled at me that my card was declined and walked away before I could explain that I had not even put my pin number in yet, so how could my card be declined? I finally got it to accept my card (same machine), but not with any help from staff.
Their employees are the borderline violent. Mismanaged and you can get better prices down the street at Target or Dags. Absolute Animals.
I’ve worked in customer service for most of the last 15 years. These employees need to step it up. Every time I go in, the staff is so unwelcoming. Today, Eliza at the register made me feel like I was an extreme inconvenience just for checking out. The only thing I said was that I’d like a bag. Times are tough for everyone, but if you’re unhappy in your workplace then step aside. I know plenty of people who are ready and willing to do a good job.
This place is a supermarket/grocery store/hot&cold deli mini bakery.Went in for some hot chocolate for the kids on a cold snowy day after Central Park but No Hot Chocolate. They didnt even carry any chocolate milk drinks. Very Dissapointed, more of an adult supermarket.
Beautiful store but the woman at the deli counter clearly hates her job. She moved so slow, didnt zip any of my bags correctly and all my cold cuts fell out when i was at the register, she also put the incorrect price on my items. TERRIBLE

Pricey, but its the UES. Its a nice store that has what you need. produce always looks fresh. its clean and nice and cold in the summer. ice cream is a little less expensive than the stores around it.
Overpriced, produce is often half rotten, meat section smells unfresh. Not much grocery options except this one store though. Stuff is always very nice.
I was ignored at the deli counter, the person working there did not acknowlege me even though they ealked past me twice and looked at me. I decided he didnt want my business and walked away. When checking out the auto checkout machine didnt give the correct price and claimed i didnt scan a product even though it was scanned but given the wrong name. Anyway the deli counter is very poor, the other staff seem friendly.
This market under Angelos management fulfills the dream of this MW group to create a crown jewel of the like named markets. The combination of a dazzling array of inventory and a totally one-to one spirit of personalized customer relations is a triumph. I cant imagine settling for only five star, but I must. You speak and you are heard. Sushi, frozen Indian and frozen Chinese is cafe level but the fresh lomain and fried rice need an upgrade. Fun fish selection and juice...
The female on register 1 on 8/3/21 is very pleasant and helpful. She exemplifies Customer Service Excellence.

Garbage food . Got a roasted cauliflower, it smelled like a dead rat. Shame on you! How could you sell that to people!!?

2022-06-07I came in 7 minutes before closing time , first time I came into the grocery store and the people are very friendly and polite to wait for me to look around what good I have to get. Prices are very reasonable . Good selection of good from seafood to delicatessen. Several choices of freshly baked breads daily . Sushi is being made fresh and tons of selection as well as ice cream. Very accommodating staffs and shows you where to find what you are looking for. Cashiers are very courteous.

2022-02-03Just saw they had a new butter and thought I would try it because they were out of Kerry Gold. I have to say this butter is really good and will be replacing Kerry Gold in my fridge.I love how MW try new things and this is a hit for me.

2022-03-04I come here from uptown because the bakery goods ate the best. Fresh and delicious. Unfortunately both times I have been here, I was being continually looked at which made me very uncomfortable. While I may not be their usual clientele, I shop here for the bakery items. Not to shoplift. Profiling is wrong period.

2022-03-17I was unhappy with the way the cashier acted like I was trying to do something shady with the package of meat I was buying. The sticker was poorly applied so I dont fault her for taking a second look but after weighing the package it was a hair off ($6.97 was on the sticker, her scale made it $7.08). Instead of just ringing it up with the sticker, she keyed in the higher price, pulled off the sticker and said something to the other cashier in another language. I felt like she was making it seem that I had altered the sticker. It made me not want to shop there.

2021-05-27Its convenient and clean with some good products. Its really spruced-up Shop Rite but expensive. I buy milk, the occasional prepared salads and some other items usually when they are on sale.

2021-12-31Convenient, safe, reliable, affordable prices and excellent customer service. A wide selection of food products to choose from (meat, fish, shrimps, poultry, seafood), fresh vegetables, pre made packages of vegetables ready to cook etc. upstairs also features a prominent food court with great options of fresh cooked food and refrigerated also, a massive entrée of pastries are also available.

2021-08-25Nice store, great staff, but quality issues. Produce is not re-stocked consistently, and overripe produce is consistently left out. Have purchased numerous fruits and vegetables that looked fine on the outside but had worms inside or were rotting. Ridiculous for the prices they charge.
