This is a beautiful landmark courthouse with office space and a library. The architecture of this place is outstanding. Nothing gets built anymore like this building. You can find a lot of marble, impressive craftsmanship and antique facility features. The library offers a decent book selection with a room dedicated to energy management.

This building was the first expression of the City Beautiful movement. This courthouse only deals with Wills & Trusts of VERY rich & important people. During the week you can go inside and look.

Really helpful staff with useful information. They helped me troubleshoot issues with Citibank who gave me a hard time closing my mothers account (she passed away) even though I had all the paperwork required to do so.

Excellent, but really excellent service from Astra Williams. The entire staff is professional, knowledgeable, and wonderful to deal with. A very unexpected experience at a government agency. Hats Off and Thanks!

The Surrogates Court in New York City is a beautiful building, built in the Beaux-Arts style by architect John Rochester Thomas. The purpose of the Surrogates Court is to handle all probate and estate proceedings for New York State. The building opened in 1907 and can be found opposite City Hall Park on the corner of Chambers Street and Centre Street.
