We just spent 7 days here and had a great time! The facility is very well kept, friendly staff and amazing scenery. We enjoyed spending time at the pools, tiki bar and bringing our dog to the dog park to play. We have already booked next year and look forward to going back!
Voted best RV Park and Marina in NY and I agree! We had a wonderful 👏 week long stay. First class facilities and top notch staff made for a memorable vacation. Would definitely 👍 recommend to friends and family; already looking forward to visiting again in the future!
I truly wish I could leave a good review. The place 8a very well maintained. On arrival we where asked to move sites to accommodate another group. No problem at all for us. We then rented a golf cart that ended up being taken away after our cart was stolen by another person that we reported... dont leave your keys in the kart. We then had our Boston terrier in the Tiki Bar area playing with the owners dogs. The owner left and we instantly got told we can no longer have a dog there because the owners dogs where gone?? This doesnt make any sense... they can be there when the owner is there but as soon as he leaves west leave. We will not ever come back. Very sad seeing we truly love the area. I hear there is a campsite down the road. We will be going there moving forward. From a owner of a business in the southern tier I can truly say picking and choosing when to inforce rules is in no way to run a business. I would take a few business classes to better operate.
Great RV resort and lives up to its resort name. Boat ramp and slips, paved sites as well as gravel sites in the trees, trash pick-up, wood delivery, tiki bar, 2 pools, giant ships to watch on the St Lawrence River. We love everything about it and everyone who helps make it a great place to be.
Beautiful view but have to book way in advance to get waterfront . Easy hook ups, great concrete pad, paved patio and sidewalks. Huge dog park. Very friendly campers. Staff extremely friendly and helpful including manager who took the time to go over confusing charges. Special shout out to Nancy and her husband Rob who rescued me from a potential mechanical disaster - (I broke the handle off trying to open stuck fridge door). Down side - extra charge for electric. Luckily I had cooler weather but a few days were hot and I hate deciding whether to run up my bill or be comfortable. Also lack of cable is ok but my fancy antenna could only pick up 4 channels (all PBS). I feel lost without local news and weather. Six hour drive for me so not sure if I’ll go back unless I can get waterfront.
First impressions were excellent. The sites are pristine. Flat, cement paved pads, brick paver patios, perfectly groomed grass, trees and shrubs surrounding the sites. The picnic tables and stone enclosed firepits are in perfect shape, and the general appearance of the campground is beautiful. The water, electric and sewer hookups were easy. The wifi in the park is pretty good - as wifi goes these days in campgrounds. There were only 2 air channels accessible with our antenna. That was a bit disappointing - but our Roku that we accessed from the wifi kept us entertained. The camp map is excellent. The 2 pools are clean and clear, the waterfront is quite pretty, and the tiki bar is a nice added attraction. There is ample seating around the pool area. The entire campground is entirely flat, so walking, running, dog walking and biking are welcomed activities. The camp store is plentiful with all kinds of items that any camper might need or want, and, at the far end of the park, there happens to be a full supermarket right next door. It is an excellent, pretty location. In fact, the views of the sky during sunset and dusk are impecable. When we checked in, the front desk seemed kind and knowledgeable. And, during our stay, the interactions we had with the maintenance staff were excellent. THIS part of my review gets a 5 star rating.Swan Bay promised a free shuttle bus service, available several times a day, into Alex Bay or Clayton. This services allowed us the opportunity to not have to rent a car to see the sights. When we pulled in, we immediately inquired how things work. The young lady at the desk instructed us to call the day before we wanted the service, as they have to reserve it. We reserved the shuttle for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, the 13th. Fine. The next morning, we went up to the office to wait. We asked TWICE if we were in the right place and the answer, was yup. Fifteen minutes AFTER the time we were supposed to leave, there still was no shuttle. It was at that time they discovered that the girl who took my information for the 13th wrote down the 12th. They then scrambled, and found a fabulous maintenance guy to drive us in. We lost some time in the city, but it turned out fine. Immediately upon returning, we went into the office and reserved shuttle seats IN PERSON, on the 13th, for the 14th, at 9 a.m.We went up to the store the next day, at 8:55. They told him the girl wrote down 11 A.M. - not 9 A.M.! I mean...HOW MANY mistakes can ya make?? Again, maintenance had to rush down and take us into town. The guy explained that much of their regular staff was disrupted by the pandemic. Okay, understood - but can you just do your job? The driver was excellent - and all ended fine.We were supposed to be picked up at 3:15. At 2:55 we found ourselves on a boatride that was being detained. I made a pre-emptive phone call to the camp office, but was put on hold....and after SIX MINUTES of hold, I just hung up. No one ever got back on the phone. I think thats the 3rd strike by this office staff. The story ends fine - we got to the bus stop with 2 minutes to spare, and everything worked out. The driver had no idea we had even called - and that was fine. So, the office staff at this campground gets, unfortunately, a rating of 2. I am sorry, for such a high class campground, whose cost is commensurate with its amenities, the office staff should know what its doing. So, averaging the 5 rating for the grounds, and the 2 for the staff, I end up with a 3.5. In this rating, I rounded up. Im not saying that I wouldnt come back - because I surely would. But, I would know NOT to depend on the office staff for much of anything, as they really arent super responsible - and might need more training to make this campground the excellent place it most definitely could be.
Hands down 5 stars and my favorite so far! We have a brand new RV and we like to glamp. This place is gorgeous! Paved roads and level sites, big dog park, huge playground, beautiful views/sunsets, separate pools for kids and adults, tiki bar and it is immaculate! They take great care of this place. Perk... stores are right across the street in case you forget anything! Love love love! We will definitely be back for years to come!
Swan Bay is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. We stayed in the St. Elmo cottage which is right along the pool/bar area. The cottage is beautiful inside, very clean and has everything that you would need for your stay. They do a great job as far as COVID requirements to keep everyone safe - you have to wear your masks in common areas. The property is great - we spent alot of time out on the pier watching the boats go by. Check in/check out was super easy! We will definitely be back!
Stayed before when it first opened and had a great experience.Booked last year for Labor Day weekend of 2021, and had to cancel since my daughter in law/son are having baby, who is due that same weekend. Was informed that they have $150 fee for cancel/cancellation policy even when it is 5 months out, and they have plenty of time to rebook for a Holiday weekend. Enjoy my money, because it is the last time you will see any of it!!!
We just returned from a 9 day trip to Swan Bay Resort and are looking forward to returning in the future. Although we stayed in a beautiful waterfront site the campground is set up on levels so you can view the river and ships from any site. The sidewalks throughout the resort were great for the safety of their guests. The pools were warm and impressively clean. Most importantly the entire staff was helpful and friendly. They would go above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for their guests. We cant wait to return!!!!
Love it here...we had a water view site and went during off season so it was quiet and relaxing. Could watch ships coming to and from the Great Lakes and Atlantic Ocean from our waterview site (under a dozen water view sites) Extremely clean with a small tiki bar and incredible food truck. Supermarket within walking distance so you can wait till you get there to get groceries. Recommend the boat ride through Uncle Sam tours and Boldt Castle. Alexandria Bay itself was depressive though literally nothing to do and only one restaurant worth going to. Clayton was nicer, small town but on the St Lawrence.Downside no cable but wifi not bad. Amazing water pressure as well and concrete pads. We will return
Overall extremely happy with Swan Bay. Return twice yearly. And will continue. I do have one wish and that is more staff enforcement on loud out of control music. Realize it was going on before quiet hours but very disturbing to others. Literally dealing with on other side of park from offenders. Not every camper wants to hear it. Same group tramped through occupied sights as well. Just very bad campers who were around to run wild
This is our second time here. We love the sites because they are large and spacious and they also have concrete with paver stones for the patios. Food truck is a nice added bonus. The Pool was clean but cold we wish they had a large hot tub. Having the price chopper literally next door is so convenient we dont stress about getting a lot of food because its so close. We meet so many nice people while staying here. They have a lot of nice rvers here. We think that they need something more for the younger kids our 7 year old would love a game room and maybe outdoor movie nightwith a screen setup by the center Pavillion would be really cool with popcorn and candy.
Campground so well maintained! Nice amenities, we stayed in the paved sites. I am assuming they are going to eventually pave the rest of the campground. Neat to watch the big cargo ships traveling the river. Access with our kayaks was great. Will definitely stay here again if we decide to come back this way. Hopefully Covid will be eradicated and we can enjoy what the entire area has to offer.
Was there this past weekend with my wife and dog and we had a blast! We stayed in the beautiful St. Elmo trailer and it was perfect. It was clean, bright, spacious, and somewhere where I could of easily stayed longer and been comfortable. The pool and tiki bar were a nice touch as well! We hope to be back next year!
Very overpriced. With that price my entire site should be level pavement, but I had to put down a buffer between the patio and pavers so I would not trip on it because of the uneven outdoor space. Soooooo busy and noisy. I left early. Granted, it was a holiday weekend; however, there is one way in and one way out and if you’re on the path of that with all the golf carts, kids and truck traffic; it is not a good time. Won’t be back.
Very Nice place, grounds, bathrooms and pools are well kept and clean! The staff were super nice and accommodating! We had a RV toilet issue and the campground sent out maintenance to try to help but they did lack a bit of experience. Don’t get me wrong they tried to be helpful but we’re out of their element and it was obvious. We ended up calling local RV maintenance repair JRV’s and Don was Super helpful and patient with us. He went over how we should fix and Helped solve problem! This campground is super nice and a prime spot from ship watching, boating and close to Alex bay entertainment! We will be back some day thanks!
Ive been camping to various RV resorts and this is by far the worst! It should not be called a resort. The rules are ridiculous, clear bags for trash, 2 adults needed for children in pool area (what if youre a single parent or one has to stay w your pet), kids cant go swimming. Pools are very small and shallow.. Forget about kids being kids, tents are not allowed and Nancy, the front office manager was very rude and condensending. This is not a family resort. Full sun, open fields, expensive laundry and $8 firewood. Do not come here EVER! WHAT A DISSAPPOINTMENT!
The staff and workers for very impolite and didnt seem to care much about how the guests felt and what their concerns were. We stayed Wednesday through saturday and we had called the front desk on thursday because we could not connect to the wifi and we were having trouble with it. We ended up getting attitude from the workers blaming it on plenty of things. This normally isnt a problem because we would be outside, but it had rained on friday and we wanted to watch a movie in the camper. Sadly, the wifi was still not working so we called again. This time we got given the number to their wifi provider… which we should not have to call because we are the guests, but then i got the phone hung up on me. The workers just seem very disrespectful and like they didnt want to be there. We also had hay all over our campground which mad everything such a mess, especially when it rained. The campground was nice and the bathrooms were clean but the staff was not very friendly.
Very clean and well done place. paved roads and big dog park, and playground for kids. tiki bar with adult pool and a separate kids pool. only negative things were the sites were so close not to much privacy and neighbors had a staring problem. and was windy most of the time. other than that qe loved it there and will be returning!
First time staying here and will definitely return with family and friends. Flat Concrete pad on each site to park RV on and pavers under each picnic table. Paved roads and concrete sidewalks throughout most of the resort, with the exception being the expansion area. 2 in ground pools and a Tiki bar! Only negative is the traffic thru the resort to and from the on-site public access marina.
Swan Bay is one of the places that truly set the gold standard of an “RV Resort” From the moment you pull in, to pull out, the level of care, and attention to every detail is apparent. The park, is truly spotless. There is truly, no bad site in the park. They have not one, but two pools, which were the cleanest pools of any RV park/hotel that I have ever swam in. The store has everything from crafty knick knacks to RV essentials. The scenery here, is second to none, it hard to imagine that an RV Resort of this caliber exists in NYS.The reason for a four star? On our last day of our stay, our family went to the pool in the evening for one last swim, and to enjoy the tiki bar for the first time. Unfortunately, it only takes one person to ruin an experience, and the bartender that evening did it. After waiting nearly 35 minutes for a drink, while the bartender served one side of the bar exclusively (to a very intoxicated and rude group, who should not have been served) and ignored the other half. Upon my father asking (after 35 minutes) for a drink, the response was “Can’t you see I’m busy”. Not an attitude, or behavior I would expect from a bartender, at a resort of this caliber. Despite this, I would still stay again in a heartbeat, it is truly an asset to the 1000 Island region. My only recommendation, is there be at least a 2nd person at the bar – or monitoring the pool area for bad behavior.
Beautiful park. They need to improve the parking set up for trailers. You will need to unhook your truck from your boat trailer and park it in a separate area. Although extremely inconvenient, the parking lots were safe. Great boat launch, great place to rent a slip! You can see the ships passing in the main school channel from the marina.
Camped in a 35” motorhome. We are self-contained so cannot comment on restrooms/shower facilities.Pros –-Great location for exploring 1000 Island area.-Very clean campground.-Sites are level and well maintained.Cons –-Lots of rules which we consider to be positive but… you have to purchase special bags from them to put trash in. They inspect the bags to make sure you recycled properly. We found this a bit disturbing.-Expect “resort” pricing.
Swan Bay is the best Marina in all of North West, New York. First I would like to thank the Swan Bay Staff for their Herculean Efforts to make sure thre outside and inside areas are kept really neat, clean, and enjoyable. Remember You cant Drink all day if you Start in the Morning this is the motto for the famous Why Knot tiki Bar. You might see me with the beautiful Swan Bay Gear you can purchase in the store and at the Tiki Bar enjoying your bucket of Trash Can for $20. Unlike Marinas in the area they have NOT one but two swimming pools located outside the Bar. This place is the most exquisite in all of the Thousand Islands!
Swan Bay is beautiful. One problem we had was people next to us were very very loud until 1:30am in the morning singing, clapping, laughing. Very annoying. Also, our surge protector didnt work on our site but worked on the other sites.Had to call an electrician. Other places we have been to very quiet at night. Very disappointed. I did let the office know the next day. If there was a nighttime groundskeeper he didnt do anything. I didnt want any problems that night and I thought there was no one to call. Its to bad some people cant follow the rules!
This RV Resort was fabulous! We stayed on a waterfront site, site 1, which was superb. There were previous reviews about the high rates, but I found that it was worth every penny. The Tiki Bar at the pool is great. Tara the bartender really was super helpful, friendly and just a pleasure. It is a very relaxing campground. Clean, beautiful amenities, and dog friendly as well. Our 7 month old puppy learned to swim! Everything in this park was maintained beautiful. Thousand Islands has a lot to offer or as little as you would like. We will be going back and can’t wait for it! HIGHLY recommend!
We had an awesome visit. We took our RV and camped .all the sites were extremely clean and very accommodating. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. We took there bus to go to take a boat tour they dropped us off and picked us up again. We hated to leave..We will definitely be back again..
This was such a great place with such nice workers. Everyone was friendly and the sites were cement pads with perfectly trimmed grass and full hookup! The camp owners dog was the CUTEST thing, too!! I do have a picture, but he was always moving, so its pretty impossible to get a good one. I love this dog. Also, they had a BIG camp store with so many shirts, swimsuits, purses, kitchenware, toys, etc. And, there was a grocery store right next to the campground in case you need food. I loved this place!
Great place!! Nice people!! It has a nice area of boat docks, tiki bar with live music, pool, and campfire social area. They serve a great fish fry on Friday along with a great grocery store and liquor store in walking distance. They also rent bikes, kayaks and motor boats. The resort is full hookups, concrete pads and patio along with new picnic tables and fire pit. We will be returning every summer! Take in mind its new and they still have some work to do. Update 3 yrs later.... Its amazing how they keep on improving! Would love some shade at the playground😉
Swan bay was awesome. We stayed for a wedding. Perfect chalet for 2 couples. Could have slept 6! We had a huge kitchen and living area. All the groomsmen got ready at our apartment. The pool and tiki bar really made the weekend the best! Drinks were great. There was a live band - which could have been better, but still give it an A for effort. If we took the 7 hours drive out there again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there. Price chopper and liquor store were within walking distance. So was Wolfe’s kitchen - where we had breakfast everyday of our stay.
Location was good! But resorts are not clean bugs spider infested everywhere , it seems after leaving every guest they barely clean up the place. One of the big green house we got had insufficient ac unit for the room, bathroom shower water would run to the bed room , not enough toilet paper, or towel for 12 persons house. We enjoyed the place tho it just their service and cleanliness wasnt up to the price they were charging.
Really nice place! Grounds & sites, which are large, are immaculate. Sites are paved cement with brick patio. Nice, solid picnic table. Stones set up for fire pit, much nicer than those rusted metal rings. Also, great that they have a Price Chopper accessible without having to leave the grounds. Even carries alcohol. Prices are reasonable on all products we purchased.Only complaint:. They claim to have WiFi throughout the park. But its spotty, at best. They also dont have cable, but they dont advertise it. These 2 are the reasons they dont get 5 stars. If you dont mind not having those 2, its worth checking out.
Our favorite campground...the staff pays attention to details, especially Floyd at the dock and Tim, who oversees it all. The waterfront sites are phenomenal, love the Tiki Bar Why Knot, the bartender Tara is great! Pam at the ship store is awesome. We had so much fun this weekend we are going back this weekend.
The resort is located right on the banks of the St. Lawerence river and it is beautiful. The sites are a concrete pad with a paver patio area and grass. The sites are long enough to easily park a tow vehicle and they have plenty of additional parking for guests around the park. They offer two pools, a tiki bar, large play area, dog park and a huge grass area for events or other activities. The marina has multiple docks, rentals for the various water activities and the boat launch. Access from I-81 is an easy mile away and the wifi worked for us during our stay. See our reviews and posts at thegilliamsisland.
I could not wait to get out of Swan Bay RV Resort. A lot of people had a lot of dogs.On the weekends especially people were really loud. I don’t think anyone read the rules that were sent by e-mail when you started staying there. I lost a lot of sleep at that place. There is a lot more that I could say but I won’t. It would take to long.It has been the most expensive RV place where we have stayed.I hope I never have to go back there.
Looking for a nice little camping resort. This place e has quite a bit going on. Nice cottages. A poolside bar. Open firepit for groups. Your own private camping area. The park is clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and really courteous. There is shopping close by and access to many routes. I recommend to all travelers.
Stayed at the chalet. It was spacious. The gas insert fire place works well and is a nice touch. The couch in the main living area was worn and we had to cover it with blankets we brought with us because no one wanted to sit on it. Gross. The wooden kitchen set was sticky even after we wiped it down. There were spiders throughout the dwelling and a serious problem with flies. You will be charged the full $250 security deposit if you leave anything in the bathroom including little bottles of shampoo or if the cot mattress is not on the base. The management charged us $250 because of this, poppy seeds on the stove top, and one bathroom trash we missed in terms of emptying it out. They we not sympathetic that I was rushed in for emergency surgery during our stay. We left $20 tip for housekeeping. In fairness, it probably took a total of 10-15 minutes to throw out the shampoos and trash, wipe up the poppy seeds, and put the mattress back on the base (dont they clean it, or spray it down at least after check out?). Totally overpriced and unpleasant. We will never go back.
The Swan Bay resort is right on the water and has very nice views. The area is well maintained and the houses we rented water cozy. My only complaints were that the houses were not even with the road so everything has to be casted in to the house by going down a hill or wooden stairs, and that the upstairs had sharply inclined ceilings that we regularly hit our heads on in the bedroom and bathroom
Beautiful sites, ridiculous price. $118 a night to be on the water. Was told we could have our boat with us on our site then upon arrival had to park it in a dirt lot with no security. They double booked us and another couple on the same site and when we called the office we were put on hold for 10 mins. We hung up and called back to be told by a 20 year old girl that she “could only move as fast as she could move” and then put back on hold for another 10. When I went to speak to the gal in person I was stopped and asked not to because she was having a “rough day”. Fast forward two days, we were fishing on the river and I got a voicemail from the office saying that we were already told that we could not have our trailer on our site (our trailer was 30 miles away with us) and that we had another car parked in the lot next to us (we only have one car and it was with us as well). I called to let them know they were mistaken and was told to please just follow the rules??? We live in our camper full time, stay in campgrounds all over the country and have never been treated like this before. If it costs over $100 a day to be treated like this ill gladly take my money elsewhere. Riverside Acres up the road is $30 a night with a lovely couple who runs the camp, we will be packing up and moving there.
Camped here for a special occasion, higher priced than most. Sites were concrete and level. Site 204 fire pit was under water after rain. Price Chopper next door was a plus. No quiet time, Tiki bar music was pounding after midnight on opposite end of campground. Biggest downfall was having to pay $10 per day on top of camping rate for electricity. Not advertised or mentioned when making reservations. Have not ever heard of this any where else in all of our years of travel. This is a big turnoff for returning to this campground. They dont need our business and probably wont be getting it again.
Great place to stay even if you don’t have an RV. We rented one of the cottages and it was great! Lots of space and located right next to great facilities (ie pool, bar and fire pit). Also there’s a 24hr grocery store on the edge of the property within walking distance so it’s super convenient. A great getaway!!
Great spot... after visiting and immediately leaving the KOA 1000 Island campground due to the worst staff ever, we found the Swan Bay Resort located right by our destination. The people took care of us, drove us thru the park to help us select the right spots for both motorhomes in our party. Very friendly. Nice pool with a new one going in as we visited. New and not wooded, but well kept and worth the stop. Kids loved the white fluffy dog then owner had in the gift shop. Dog friendly here as well with fenced-in dog park near entrance.
The Good: Nicely maintained grounds, modern pool area, spacious lots, pretty water views, paved roads and sidewalks around entire campground (very practical), quick drive to Alexandria Bay, good fishing spots for kids. The Bad: Too pricey, bad wifi, staff not very friendly.
This was an incredible experience! I highly highly recommend Swan Bay. We went to Disney this summer and stayed at Fort wilderness and I would have to go on record to say Swan Bay was actually nicer than Disneys Fort wilderness. The people are friendly its extremely clean it you cannot beat the views there gorgeous right on the water. We went in for a boat tour in the boat tour brought us to the boat and they were supposed to bring us back to the RV park but by the time they got us back to doc it was closed so we called Swan bay to ask them for the name of the taxi and one of the people from Swan baby actually came and picked us up its just a great experience highly recommend it.
I have called the office multiple times already to change my reservation, change my site, and ask tons of questions. I have spoken to Kaylee this whole time and this woman is the SWEETEST, KINDEST and most PATIENCE women ever! She has helped me with all my questions and I can not wait to stay with them next month!!! This woman deserves a raise!!!
Stayed for 7 nights, Aug 27th-Sept 3 in my trailer on site #71, not much to complain about at all, everything is fresh clean and new. Cement pads are nice as are the paved roads and cement sidewalks however I wish they would have either extended the cement pads to the street or pave the driveways, the gravel is a pain and kind of breaks up the nice aesthetics they are going for. The gravel gets on the streets, the cement pads, and the grass. Hookups are neat and tidy, good water pressure. Two bathhouses so far that are new and clean, only 2 showers in each one, 2 men, 2 women so total of 8 for the resort (so far) not a problem now but once tent sites are available they could be busy at peak times. Check in was fast and friendly, staff was friendly all week as were all the campers and seasonals. I was near some trees at my site along the river, most sites are in the wide open which is not my cup of tea, if you want trees your only options are sites 44, 46, 48, 70-76, 83. My electric was metered because the length of my stay which I was fine with, ran my A/C most nights, one entire day when I wasn’t there with the dog and it was only $23 USD for the week, wish I could pay that at home. The wifi wasn’t great when I arrived but it seems they were working on it while I was there, in fact a new router/antenna went up across the road and it worked great the rest of the week. Having the Price Chopper and Liquor Store right next door is awesome, there is even a paved lighted walking path to get there! As a Canadian it’s a little more expensive for us to stay there, I’d like to see them have a permanent 20-30% Canadian discount until our dollar gets better, I think it would entice more of us to come down, I didn’t see many Canadian plates for being so close to the border. I took my kayak but only got in the water one day as it was pretty windy all week, the river is also very “swelly” and a lot of boats going very fast that don’t care much about you being in a kayak so not sure I’d bring it next time or not. Overall enjoyed my stay very much and will return in the future.
We stayed in August 2016, had an awesome time. Wonderful staff and what an wonderful RV Park. The attention to detail is outstanding. The spots are just beautiful, concrete pad for RV and very nice patio. The Bathroom and Laundry are spotless. Very well taking care of. The amenities are all there, Boat Rental, Heated Pool, Tiki Bar.... When we were there, entertainment on Friday and Saturday, had a blast at the Tiki Bar. The marina has really nice large slips. One place to check out if your going to visit Clayton, NY or Alexandria Bay - right in the middle. Visit by boat, since this park is right on the St. Lawrence. Tiki Bar is open to the public....
We rented a cottage. We were steps to the dock and pool. It was August 2016 and it was a nice crowd. They cater to large RVs. No tent camping. Nice boat launch. Pontoons available by the day. Wood and sodas available 24 hours. Beautiful pool with Tiki bar and some music on weekend. Convenient to Clayton, Alex Bay, Kingston, Brockville and points north and south on River Trail.
First time rental customer. Staff was very friendly and moved quickly to ensure we had as much time on the water as possible. 24 pontoon was in great condition and had no issues. Was not asked to leave this review, it just went that well I felt the need. Will be returning in the near future.
This will be the 3rd time we have come here. It may be our last...Pricing for the sites in the highest we have paid anywhere in the USA. Then they charge me $42 for electric I used for the week. Really? two AC units for one week? No Cable...I have to take my trash up to the dumpsters which for some is a long walk. Then they wanted me to park my trailer in the mud as all the other dry spaces were filled with boat trailers who really do not care if they get wet. My trailer is not made to park in Mud....$40,000 worth of Harleys in my Trailer and want me to load and unload in the mud...so lets just say I was upset after they told me to park near the dumpsters and then once i was unloaded to me to move them...$10 for a mixed drink at the pool seems a bit over priced and the few wood items you get for $8 could be dry. Walked up the food store and got decent wood to burn. Oh...the fire pit is about 10 stones in a circle ...really? You want to be a first class RV resort please look at the others to improve yours...yes you have a great view...so do many others...
Over priced cottages, Ive seen better craftsmanship in Home Depot sheds. Toilet seat broken, bathroom door wouldnt shut completely, cabinets full of dust. Called about air conditioning units that wouldnt blow out a lit match or do anything to 86 deg temp.inside unit. Was told by management it is what it. You could find better quality deck chairs, grill and utensils at a flea market. Porch lights didnt work. All these things could be fixed with the one day fee they charge but they choose not to, therefore my review IS WHAT IT IS . Piss poor!
Well I have to say this RV Park was very nice with friendly staff !!!!! Sites had concrete slabs to park on with full hookups. Next to the resort is a Price Chopper which delivers ur groceries directly to your site by way of golf cart. Park seems to be equipped with multiple surveillance cameras throughout the park for your safety. They have a tiki bar next to the Inground pool where u can order a drink of your choice. Dock space for ur boat and pontoon boat rentals. Two things you must do in the area is The Castle tour and the antique boat museum where you can take a ride on an old Wooden Race boat for 45minutes for only $25.00 per person. The RV Park isnt Cheap by any means. Our site was $100.00 per night and the sites on the water I believe were $200.00 plus per night. I can understand how the price could deter people from coming but however The amenities are definitely worth it !!!!!!
Swan Bay is a beautiful, dog friendly campground...all the sites are easy in and out for all size rv’s....very clean RV park....staff is very friendly and knowledgeable...lots to see and do in the area...we will definitely stay there again if ever in the area...love this place!!

2022-05-02If thinking of renting a boat and you dont know the local waters, dont bother. And, you better brush up on your boating terms. They ask you questions and and use nautical terms. Other than that, the park is very nicely kept and is enjoyable to stay at.

2022-06-19Last year we Picked Swan Bay ,looking at the reviews I notice the owner took the time ,to respond every review. When booking two sites last year one for me and one for my daughter the staff took the time with me so we could book sites next to each other. This year we are going back in July and again the staff was great helping us book. This Campground I give a triple A rating. Looking forward going back in July.

2022-06-17Great RV park - friendly staff - lovely views of the river and the frieghters as they pass by. easy to see why Swan Bay is so highly rated - It was our second time staying in the 1000 islands - great hidden treasure.

2021-10-01Beautiful resort with spacious sites. Very quiet here. Love the waterfront sites with paved patios. Bathhouses are immaculate. Showers could be upgraded but they are kept clean. Nice large fenced area for dogs. Only wish list item is cable tv. Otherwise we are here to enjoy the view and the outdoors so it’s no big deal. Can’t wait to visit again next year.

2021-09-15We love this place. Location is mostly the reason we stay there. We are ship watchers and its the view to do it. The only down side, some campers are rowdy, drunk, loud after going to the bar and when they leave the bar, they terrorize the campground. There is no employees on grounds after hours to stop them and no number to call. After a bad experience, we now know to avoid weekends and pick mid week quiet times. Staff is great, and very nice. Bathrooms clean, pools also very clean.
