Honestly stopped going here because of how erratic you guys are with opening/closing times and days . The food is good but nothing to die for. My favorite was the cotton candy frap.
This is definitely one of our favorites and go-to spots for Weekend Brunch. a bit of a wait... but ALWAYS worth it. Shrimp n Grits are my all-time fave but they always have a lot of new and creative options on the menu. Also -- the ambience.. and just the vibe feels good.
One of my all time favorite cafes! My family and I love coming here, prior to the pandemic and even now, their food is always made fresh and with lots of flavor. And their coffees are out of this world! They have unique flavor combos and their lattes are hands down the best weve ever had. They have so many vegan options, as well as vegan baked goods. Their customer service is also top notch. Definitely give this cafe your support if you havent already!
I’ve been here a few times. Brunch time is very nice with the live music. The food is excellent. My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It’s very cozy and intimate for day dates, also. Nice vibe!
They have amazing muffins, their Smores Hot Chocolate is awesome, and they rotate their menu every so often so its a great place to get Sunday brunch :)Also, their servers are super friendly and always great. The random negative reviews seem to be from people who dont understand the concept of patience. Weve come here many many times and have only ever had friendly awesome wait staff.
My husband and I just ate here this morning and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the avocado toast to split. He had the chicken and waffles and I had the French toast. We were not disappointed with any of it. What made the experience even better was the service we received. They are super friendly and charismatic. We found a new local gem and will definitely be back! Thank you!
Two of us came in for a Sunday brunch. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very engaging. Not being sure of exactly what I wanted we each had one dish and shared a third, a yogurt parfait, as an appetizer.The French toast was incredibly thick with a little less egg than I am used to having. I had a special that included salmon croquettes, cheese grits, and poached eggs. The croquettes had lots of fish (rather than being loaded with fillers), and they paired nicely with the eggs. We enjoyed all the dishes and I left feeling a bit stuffed (I guess 2 dishes would have been enough after all!).The latte was quite large and it was good as well.The food wasnt cheap, but it wasnt expensive either. Given the quality, portions, and service, Id say that the prices are fair.
Took the fellas to have brunch and it was a professional family experience. The service was excellent. The drinks are refreshing for those hot days with beautiful flavor for all to enjoy. The food was excellent. The huevous ranches was delicious. South beach shrimp...excellent! Porky pig...excellent. Presentation of the food was great. The flavor was also good. A great place to cool out with friends or by yourself for some quiet time. Great atmosphere.
Awesome staff and service. The brunch menu is amazing. With a busy schedule its hard to find time to do brunch, but when I do this is the first place that comes to my mind. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Their menu changes about every month so its never the same menu. The Nutella latte is fabulous. Definitely try this place out!
Love this place! All the food is made to order by a wonderful chef who runs the business with her family (children included!). Since the food is made to order it does take longer than most Americans expect to wait for the usual processed/pre-cooked food but bring a friend for conversation and you wont notice the time. Oh yeah and the food is definitely worth the wait! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Everyone is so friendly and it is refreshing to see a family working together. Their Sunday brunch menu is to die for! Going here today with the hubby :)
This place is great. Went for brunch and the food was really good and the latte’s were clever and sweet. My challah French toast was delish. The decor is rustic and spread out nicely. I took a star off for slow service. Don’t read that as bad service because our waitress was delightful and there wasn’t much going on in the store which doesn’t mean she didn’t have something else going on. I will definitely be back and will look to add that last star bc this is a 5 star place but I usually give 5-7 min to start looking to place my order and we got up to go to the counter after 10. I will be back.
Great menu, great food, good crowd, friendly service. Highlights were the chicken and waffles, juices, and egg sandwich(if the caribbean had a taste that sandwich would be it!) only flaw was the space(small but cozy) and that rocky table(I was informed before seated which makes all the difference)
Today I had Brunch there. It was my first time visiting. The food was absolutely amazing. I loved the ambiance. Everything was clean. I loved the fact that the owner Del, came over to greet my family and I. I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend this place.
I went for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I read all the reviews and was excited to go and usually when you have great expectations they are sometimes too high and get let down but I wasnt. I had lunch there. I chose to have hot chocolate because i am not a coffee person but after my first experience I am going to have try a coffee one day. My wrap was great and and I bought a bunch of dessert/pastry items and I am now hooked. I look forward to going back and I plan to go tomorrow. A must to try if you are in the area. It will be your new favorite cafe.

I have pretty mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, the food is fantastic. No two ways about it, its really good. On the other hand, the service is really slow and error prone. Let me describe my experience for you...I came here with my family for Sunday brunch. My sister has been here several times and says theyre known for their unique hot and cold drinks and their brunch menu. Sounds good, right?Walking in, the place is well light, clean, and very nice looking. It seems that they dont really have waitstaff during the week and its pretty limited, even for brunch. We ordered some drinks to start with as we browsed the menu. Unfortunately, they brought me the wrong drink! They fixed their mistake quickly enough and if that was all that happened, Id have no problem. Everyone makes mistakes. However, after placing our order, we waited quite a while to get our food and when it did come, my food wasnt with the rest of the tables! I gave it about 5 minutes before asking the cashier about it. Turns out they never made my food because of a miscommunication. They offered me something on the house while I waited, which was nice. (I got a brownie and quite frankly it was a ridiculously good brownie.) When I finally got my food, it was quite good, but at this point Id finished my hot chocolate (Thin mint flavored and highly recommended!), had a brownie, and sampled the dishes my family got. I ended up taking most of my food home.I had to think about how to rate this place. While the staff was very nice and the food is really good, the errors and slow service leave a bit to be desired. Ill probably go back at some point to give them another chance. Ill update this review if/when that occurs.
I heard great things but I was very disappointed.The menu: Not much of a variety. Everything seemed trendy.. whatever happened to muffins, pancakes etc.? They dont allow substitutions. Everything had a runny egg on it. It was so crowded there was only a seat at counter, but the seats are so uncomfortable, my back needed support,my legs were going numb dangling there and I waited at least 15 minutes and nobody ever came to take my order so I left
I want to love this place. Its super cool & very unexpected for sitting on the edge of Baldwin. A little pricey but it is a hipster heaven. Unfortunately, our hot brunch order took 30 minutes to come out & it wasnt even hot. Tasted great at least. Im sure Ill give it another go.
This place is very nice, its small and cozy, the decorations are very interesting. The food was delicious, I highly recomend the chicken and waffles or 125th street as its called. This is the first place outside Guatemala that Ive found Chirrepeco tea, I cant wait to bring my mom here to try it out. Only reason why Im giving 4 stars is because staff is not friendly nor helpful. We went on a day which was not busy and the staff was not welcoming or helpful like other places. I really like the food and hope for a better service next time we visit.
The owners are warm and welcoming! They have great coffee and a great atmosphere to hang out, read, have a conversation, or get work done. The coffee is a little expensive but is definitely worth it. Their matcha Frappuccino is one of my favorite drinks.
The food was very good, but the service here is so rude and disrespectful. They are so rude to you that me and my 2 friends felt so out of place they make you feel awkward. One of my friends waited 30 minutes for her crepe because they forgot to put it in, they just dont have good customer service and I will never come back no matter how good the food is, #crazycrepeisbetter

This place was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend and I were waited on by Jimmy, who was not only an excellent server, but incredibly friendly and helpful. He gave us several suggestions as to what we should check out while in town. On top of that, the food was very good, and reasonably priced!. We will definitely be back,
The Sweet and Savory Cafe was warm bc of the love that was put into every detail from the detailed wood chest that conceals the garbage can to the rustic touch on the menu holders and check presenters. Dellion was kind and took such sweet care of me my mother and my kids. I cant wait to bring the rest of my family! Thanks team Sweet and Savory!
Nice, quaint cafe. I enjoy coming here with family and friends when I have free time. The food is delicious and is often enough to satisfy your hunger, not fill you up (which is a good thing!) Food is high quality and atmosphere is welcoming. I highly recommend!!
Great food accommodating, retro decor makes you comfortable when you walk in. The last who works there was nice enough to make me a breakfast meal that was not on the menue. I loved it. I always love going there.

This was my first time going there, but it looks like they dont really know how to handle larger crowds (its a small place) or that theyre doing much having a semi-solid restaurant along with a café. One of the owners seemed frazzled and I waited at least 45 minutes for my drink and meal while others who arrived after me were served before me. Among other things.
The ambiance in this café is great! Its very artsy, it gives you a soho feel. The decor is trendy,comfy and absolutely awesome! Très chic! This place is great for enjoying a nice latte while reading a book/newspaper (they have free WiFi! ), having brunch with friends or your kids, or lunch or dinner! They have various macncheese, salad, soups and paninis. Im also vegetarian and Im happy to see plenty of meat-less options on the menu! The last time I visited, I ordered the sunrise panini (mushroom) and Sweetnsavory mac n cheese (baked with corn, yum!). Everything was so delicious and tasted fresh! Oh, and the desserts are incredible! My favorites are the Brownies, pistachio cupcakes and muffins and the red velvet cupcakes. For my sons birthday I ordered 2 dozen pistachio cupcakes from the owner (who is truly inspirational! ) and they were a big hit! No left overs! You must visit this Café, it will definitely be worth while.
My son and I have been coming to this new cafe since the first week they opened and it has become our newest favorite place in town! From the moment you step, the decor and ambiance makes you forget that you are in Baldwin. Its modern, rustic look makes it inviting and warm. Some of the furniture that caught my attention was a coffee table made out of stacked books and a light bulb chandelier, which I later found out the owner had made them herself. So far I have tried most of the items in the menu which includes soups, panini sandwiches, mac and cheese, pastries, and a great variety of coffees and teas. My son loves their hot chocolate and brownies and I can’t get enough of their caramel, vanilla and mocha lattes! I also love their lentil soup, fancy chic panini and omega mac and cheese. Their american food infused with soul is honestly delicious and best of all there are vegetarian choices as well! This place is great for study groups, meeting with friends, reading a book and with free wifi you can catch up on work from your laptop! I could go on and on but why take all the fun, check it out for yourself! If you don’t like friendly and attentive service, then this is not the place for you :)

This place is awesome!!! Come on the weekends and try the French Toast made with Challah bread. Out of this world!!! And lets not forget the coffee breed to perfection. Antoinette and her staff are always very warm and welcoming.

I would love to give more stars because it is tasty but when you stand waiting 25 minutes for tea and a muffin thats hard to do. They need to step up the pace. Not everyone is on leisure time we want to grab our beverage and go.

2022-04-28Omg everything I have tasted here is delicious!! I tried the Malcolm salad for the first time last Sunday and baby let me tell you , I cannot wait til Saturday to order like two or three more!!! I love it here . And I always get a side of the banana bread .

2020-01-11Absolutely love this place! The beverages, the people, the atmosphere; its all incredibly endearing and worthy of return visits. They offer a long list of non-dairy milk options, a vegan weekend brunch menu, and different vegan scone options. Which, by the way, are absolutely out of this world. The service here is phenomenal and customers are made to feel welcomed and invited. I urge everyone to stop by and see what its all about!

2018-12-08Definitely a good option for great coffee and a light breakfast. I was excited to visit this business for the first time and support the local businesses in Baldwin.We had the Guac Toast, All American (waffles with fruit and whipped cream), an orange juice, a creme brulee coffee, and a dark roast coffee. Every thing was delicious.Why four stars?The service was good, but was a too slow.The price for the food, although excellent, overpriced for the portion size.The Guac Toast was on the smaller size. The waffle was good sized. The coffee was very good size.Would we return? Probably yes, but if we are in the mood for coffee. So wed prefer this spot over Starbucks. :)

2019-07-21Very homey and friendly staff. This cafe has a rustic classic, and hip feel to it. This gem has a variety of coffee and teas and their water comes with mint inside. I love both the iced matcha latte and nutella latte, the nutella latte was sweet but not too overwhelming and i love how refreshing the matacha latte. I love the fact that the avocado toast was sprinkled with microgreens and the hot sauce decorated on the pan. The rza wrap had an abundance of kale that went alongside the soft texture of lentils well.

2017-11-19A hidden local gem. I’m kicking myself for not discovering this place sooner!! Randomly came in to study and had the most amazing Nutella latte. Heaven in a coffee cup! Staff is very friendly, the place is spotless. Came back for Sunday brunch with my sister and dayum...the food is delicious. I’m definitely going t be a regular here. Love, love, love this place.

2019-10-17I felt welcome as soon as I stepped in the door. Excellent mix of music, earthy and clean appearance. Warm baristas.There is more than just coffee here! Their brunches are a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds. Prepared by a wise chef clearly!I even got a caffeine free alternative to cappuccino. . . Golden Latte made with turmeric (one I know well but never see outside of my own home).Its my new favorite and I cant wait to return and bring friends! Highly recommended.

2019-11-17A good experience can turn bad so quickly. Im assuming because I was seated alone that I was asked to leave in the middle of me trying to finish my cup of coffee because theres a 12:30 reservation meanwhile theres 1 open table and theres another couple who has been seated with their check for longer than I have been here. But no one asked them to leave. No one asked if I wanted anything. You dont treat regular costumers like that. Im def not returning here. Not cool.I love coming here. It’s a cute cafe. They have vegan/vegetarian options. Lots of options here.

2019-06-23One reason why Id regret moving from Long Islands south shore, would be not having easy access to this INCREDIBLE cafe❣The weekend brunch, OMGoodness; even if I dont like it, its DAMN good! The drinks, desserts, and entrees are what Id describe as every national culinary experience, if your grandma from the south got her hands on it. The fusion of soul is EVERYTHING!Yes; Im helplessly pleased to dine here whenever and if an enemy of mine wanted a truce, it would have to settle all scores here.Sweet & Savory Café is definitely one of my absolutely favorite places for brunch and business.Guaranteed to succeed in any deal if done here.
