I randomly popped in after seeing someone come out with a delicious looking drink-- what a smart move. The boba is perfect and the mango in the drinks is ***actually*** from fresh mangos. As a Texas gal, Ive been disappointed by the NYC food scene but this is not one of those places.

2021-10-29Its unfortunate because I want to like this place but after two tries, Im never visiting again. The woman who is always there is outwardly rude and disrespectful if you speak Chinese to her, but sweet if you are a white customer speaking English.I normally wouldnt draw conclusions like this but this happened two times: the first I asked about a menu item and she responded very annoyed. The second time she walked out and scolded us while asking if we were going to order anything. We were just looking at her menu.If you look at their Yelp page another Chinese woman says they have the same experience. Its sad when your own people look down on you but up to white customers!

2019-12-14Cute little dessert shop service Asian desserts, waitress was helpful in describing some of the unknown ingredients and giving suggestions. Highly recommend the mango sticky rice dish with coconut milk, refreshing, sweet and delicious!! Cute spot!

2021-04-21Great little dessert spot. They have a large variety. Below is their Mango drink ☺️ what’s great is that there’s snack spots around the area so you can grab a drink and some food boom fun day

2020-01-07Looking to extend our Chinese food dinner, we went to this place that was recommended by the restaurant hostess (from Hwa Yuan). This place is focused on Chinese desserts. But be warned, it is very tight inside with very limited seating. Thankfully, there are many pictures on the menu making it easier for newbies to get an idea of what they would like. However, the accompanying descriptions are very utilitarian and short but not actually descriptive. For example, mango pudding with birds nest, is presented matter-of-factly as if you were ordering a cheeseburger. What the hell is a birds nest in the context of food? Turns out, you probably dont want to know. It actually is a birds nest that is built out of ... that birds saliva. Its a delicacy but unfortunately, the bird is endangered in many places so get this while you can! But the place is cute, the food comes out looking exactly like the actual pictures. We also got what is literally just called banana split - which is a banana split in half surrounding 3 scoops of granita-like ice cream in mango, coconut, and black sesame(?) flavors with a muskmelon ball, honeydew ball, and sliced strawberries with sprinkles on top. The fruits were delicious and light and the ice creams were all tasty and not melted. All in all, a fun experience having our group squeeze into this tiny space and enjoying new tastes and experiences. Tasty food, good service, and reasonable prices - a winner in my book.

2019-10-12First time trying this place as mango mango at next door was full. I like that they have the option of herbal jelly and tofu pudding, which bring me back my memory from my childhood in Hong Kong. Notice the herbal jelly is not really a dessert, it actually tastes bitter, but I know it helps to cleanse your toxin from your inner body. I highly recommend the tofu pudding, as it’s soft as silk. Not many places in NYC can do it to this level.Definitely I will try their mango dessert when I am back next and there are many options from the menu.

2019-12-20My friends and I were looking around the entire Chinatown to find a place that sells real authentic warm Chinese dessert and we found Sweet House. This place is great! While it is small the desserts are delicious. The bean curd and black sesame tang yuan were delicious. Definitely recommend.
