I passed Swolehouse on my way to the mall and I was really excited to try it because prepping meals each week can become a hassle as Im sure you may agree. Here are my honest impressions:Location/Storefront: Easy to find, plenty of parking. The store looks cool, although bare from the outside. Upon walking in, there was a weird smell (could be from cooking fish). There were two tables set up for hanging out and eating (maybe they have a microwave to heat up the meals?), one shelf-unit for apparel, one for protein powder, and 3 small refrigerator units with prepackaged meals for on-the-go. The space was really massive for the operation.Staff/Customer Service: Upon walking in, we werent greeted. I initiated the conversation by saying that I had never been to Swolehouse before and I was interested in the 21-meal deal (21 meals for $100) but I wanted to try a meal before committing. The owner told me to pick one out from the refrigerator and offered no suggestions. After we checked out, the owner reminded the cashier to offer us a free protein waffle; she asked us which flavor we wanted without giving us options (not a complaint, just funny). Great gesture on their part.Meal Experience: I purchased two meals from Swolehouse - Steak Burrito Bowl & How you doin?? Burger and received a free Nutella Blondie Protein Waffle. The Steak Burrito Bowl consisted of shredded steak, cheese, peppers, onions, rice, and literally two beans. The steak was seasoned well and I enjoyed the meal overall, but I felt deceived by the rice:meat ratio once I started eating it (photo attached). The burger was pitiful; a thin piece of cheese, two pepper slices, and a single pepperoni were draped onto a meatball. Accompanied with the burger were a handful of soggy fries. The meat was tasteless and dry (picture attached). The waffle consistency was something you would expect from a protein-substitute for sweets (dry, grainy, not enjoyable) and acted as a vehicle for Nutella.Nutrition: All the meals within the store seemed to be under 500 calories and the owner acknowledged that theyre the same price point (no up-charge for steak or seafood which is nice). The amount of protein seemed to vary between 30-45g with various amounts of fat. The only available nutrition information on the packaging was protein, fat, sodium, carbs, and calories (although you can find more information online). Almost every meal in the refrigerators had a tremendous amount of cheese and I noticed a lack of vegetables. I imagine these meals would benefit someone on a low-calorie diet.Pricing: As I mentioned above, the meals cost the same (which works well if you purchase the steak/fish but can also punish you). If you dont buy in bulk, the price jumps to about $7 and change.Apparently the online store offers different meal sizes and price points. It would have been nice if the owner informed us about anything about his business other than where the refrigerator units are.Impression: Im comfortable walking 50-feet while maintaining awkward eye-contact, but it wouldve been fantastic for the owner or any of his staff members to welcome me into his business or ask if I needed assistance. It felt like we were burdening them by being there. There wasnt anyone else who needed assistance, so someone could have easily pulled some meals out of the fridge and gotten us enthused about their offers, especially since I said I wanted to try one to potentially become a consistent customer. Unfortunately for him, I picked two meals that I found underwhelming. The low calorie meals dont coincide with my lifestyle, I would have to eat two meals. Low-price point and consistent pricing was a perk, and the free blondie waffle was a very generous touch.Final Thought: If you need a quick homemade microwavable meal for 500 calories (and ~$7.50), stop by and pick one up. Youll get exactly what you expect it to be. If youre looking for a sustainable diet regiment, I recommend trying a meal before you commit because Swolehouse meals arent for everyone.
Whenever I need healthy meals on the go, Swolehouse is my go to place. I’m always satisfied and happy! I’ll definitely recommend!
Have been ordering meals for a while. I haven’t gotten a bad one yet! Recently I inquired about a custom meal plan and the owner personally called me and helped me order meals to suit my needs.Delivery is also fantastic my meals were delivered at 10am this past Sunday.
Finally got ahold of someone thanks to instagram and Big Joe is amazing!! Definitely off to a better start and made it right!Terrible communication skills and horrible customer service. Was referred to them for my first meal prep service by my trainer because of the amazing customization options. I have filled out the online form, even used the email address they provided online and it bounces back as not valid, called them spoke with someone who said the chef would call me and every time no one reaches back out. They even cut me off while talking to tell me it’s all working on their website… so that means you just are ignoring it or don’t want business I’m not sure felt pushed to the back burner. I’m blown away how impossible it is to get started with them. Can only imagine the hassle once and if I ever got started up with them.
We have been using Swolehouse for over a year now. We love the options and how accommodating the staff is, especially Joe. We have yet to have any issue or complaints. Considering we both get our breakfast, lunch and dinner for the week made by Swolehouse Id say thats pretty consistent! We save a ton of time and we still eat great. Give them a shot. If you have certain macro targets they will customize meals for you.
Best meals ever! The customer service is amazing. They go out of there way to make sure your happy and satisfied. Portions are perfect and delicious.They delivered to my home as well.Thank you for keeping me eating healthy . The over night oats are the best. Great for your kids going to college instead of the school meal plans at least you know your kid is eating healthy.
After finding a piece of hair, & a piece of burnt food in 2 of the meals I had ordered, I asked if I can get a refund for that order. I was then told that I can Remove the piece of burnt food from the meal. Not worth the rudeness. Very disappointed.
We have only been using their meals for a short time now but I have to review them! Customer service goes above and beyond. Helpful, fixed an issue with no question. Great quality good, spotless store. Thank you!

SwoleHouse has an excellent selection of affordable meals that taste great! I’ve been eating them for the majority of my meals over the past 3 months and I feel much better in general because they are significantly healthier than my usual diet. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Im trying to figure out how this place is still in business. Ordered a few times and the lunch and dinner meals are God awful. Everything is bland and dry. The oats are ok, but they are anything but healthy for you. You can tell when you walk in that this is a place for juiceheads and meatheads, who hang out at the gym all day. Stay away. There are tons of better meal prep places out there.
The customer service I experienced was awful!I was a weekly customer around the time they opened their location. I placed an online order which said “ 3-5 business days to be delivered, 2 weeks later still nothing. So I called and messaged the business, still no answer on my order. After 2 1/2 weeks my order was shipped to the location, where I picked it up and my supplements were open “not sealed”. I received an awful attitude from “Joseph” when I questioned him about the supplements as if I was not worth his time when I was giving him my business. He asked me to “stop messaging him” and gave me zero answers on the product “they sell online”. I would not ever recommend this place due to poor customer service.
I ordered from DoorDash and I was so disappointed when I received my food I got a refrigerated cold burrito with no flavor or anything at all. I also got the stake bowl and that was tasteless and small portion. I had to put salt pepper and hot sauce just so I could eat what I paid for. Two 👎🏼 👎🏼

Great business idea but I highly DONT RECOMMEND this place. I received two patties that had mold growing on it!!! How long ago were these prepared? One and done with you guys.
Ordered a few wraps we had coupons for... They also sell pre made meals with low calories, just grab and go... The wraps were great.
Awesome nuggs and the best overnight oats. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Always enjoy grabbing meals for the week or a bite to go.

2022-05-29Today I picked up a whole bunch of food from Swolehouse Meals . They are a partner of ours so with the discount it was a great price (Join Long Island foodies on FB). Hell even without the discount it was awesome. As you see I live a very active life between work and soccer we are constantly running.I want to start eating healthier where we can and not going out to dinner as much. They have such a variety of foods plus they offer completely custom meals depending on your dietary needs. I will be posting here and there what Im eating for lunches or breakfast.Place is neat and clean and the owners were awesome I got to meet both of them today. Such an awesome time and Joe is such a knowledgeable man.They have breakfast lunch and dinner and even desserts available in there grab and go refrigerators. You can even place your order for pickup or delivery. Get your orders in by Thursday and theyre ready Sunday

2022-05-03At first I was skeptical because of all the different places in the area but I took a gamble and I couldn’t be happier walking in I was greeted by the owner Joe who was friendly and had open arms to all my questions. He explained to me their meal prep plans and even gave me a meal to try for free. I order a salad which I pictured below and it was more than fabulous the presentation and the color of the salad where nothing short of amazing. Since that first visit it’s been a weekly stop for me to get my salad after work and to pickup my meals on sundays. The meals are awesome and they have so many damn options. Granted there are a few I don’t care for but that’s because I’m picky and like what I like. It’s the customer service and consistency that makes me come back every week. I highly recommend you check them out either their store front,their website or even their Amazon store. So happy I found this place 💪🏻

2022-07-06Was looking for a salad spot and came across this place. I got spinach as my base with quinoa, croutons, carrots, and tomatoes as a topping and steak as my meat. I didn’t get any cheese. They have a Buffalo ranch sauce that is SO good I only ate it with my steak though. They also give discounts for first responders. Definitely will be coming back & telling my co workers.

2022-04-28Definitely go check out Swolehouse!! Had a great experience. Having healthy meals prepped from Swolehouse, has become one of the most convenient way to eating healthy when extremely busy with work. It’s an easy grab and go. They are very friendly and they even customize specific meals!!!

2020-04-20I highly recommend Swolehouse and had a really great experience!! Having 21 prepped healthy meals is a huge help! You can easily freeze them to keep on hand. They were extremely accommodating and even prepped meals that were gluten free! Which was amazing!!Thank you again!!!

2022-07-18Ordered a soo bougie salad, however I got some salad that wasnt even on the menu. Didnt have anything that it was supposed to have in it. I gave a 3 star because it was fresh.
