I would recommend anyone who has been suffering from a hiatal hernia to come to Dr. Kulla or buy his new hiatal hernia hook. I have been suffering from hiatal hernia and his visits and new tool has basically cured my GERD and burning. He is the real deal!
Friendly atmosphere overall. Came in for a consultation to see whether chiropractic would help with my neck pain. After a few tests and examinations, the chiropractor was able to explain exactly whats been causing my pain and recommended ways to help ease the symptoms. Great experience!
I unfortunately had to leave for a family emergency before I could finish all of my sessions but I had an incredible experience. The shoulder blade pain and lower back pain I had experienced diminished tremendously. I mean the pain is barely there versus the excruciating pain I used to have. Everyone there is pleasant, informative, accommodating and truly helpful. I am an introvert but they made me feel so comfortable. Scheduling is easy. They were also very sanitary. Dr. Kulla is a straight to the point kinda guy. I did a search for mild posterior subluxation of the glenohumeral joint in NYC and a Facebook video of his came up. Id been to countless other specialists trying to get this pain in my shoulder fixed - a chiropractor, a physical therapist, a massage therapist and nothing was helping. On a whim I tried Dr. Kulla **even thought hes out of my insurances network** and Im SO glad I did! The first thing he did was do some x-rays and saw my clavicle was out of place. Were working on a litany of issues (ThAnKs PaNdEmIc) but I can tell you in the two weeks that Ive been seeing Dr. Kulla I can see noticeable improvement in my back and my shoulder. If youre on the fence about seeing him, THIS IS YOUR SIGN!
Ive had lower & mid back pain for many years from weight lifting in college. Ive been to many physical therapists, doctors, chiropractors but none of them were able to adequately address my issues. Dr. Kulla took the time to understand my issues, explain my Xray & MRI images, and worked with me to develop a comprehensive plan to get my back healthy again. Ive always been skeptical of chiropractic services until I was hit by a vehicle while riding a bike. After 2 months of physical therapy and no real improvement, my therapist recommended a chiropractor. I made a great choice with Synergy and Dr. Kulla. After a week or 2, I was able to put my socks and shoes on without contorting into strange positions. The pain and sciatica lessen. I was able to walk and hike again without significant pain. I may need to consider surgery to enjoy running, going to the gym, and adventure travel. For now, I dont have to rush into a decision.
This is by far the best chiropractor I have ever been to. I had lower back pain (bulging disc) since April 2020. Then I had got into a car accident in January 2021 and this made my back even worst. It was very hard for me to get out of bed or even sit for short period. This had me very stress because I’m a very active person (Gym/BJJ). I didn’t think a chiropractor would work because I went to a prior chiropractor for about 10 sessions and he was scare to do adjustments because supposedly my back wasn’t ready so he just use EMS and heating pad , what a waste . So searched and found Dr. David Kulla. He is very knowledgeable. He got right to work with the therapy . I did about 20 sessions and by the end I felt great. I was about 90% back to myself. I highly recommend Dr. Kulla.
In March I moved to NYC from Oklahoma City. In OK I saw a great chiropractor regularly for nerve pain in my legs due to a compressed nerve in my lower back. My chiropractor in OKC recommended I see Dr. Kulla for treatment in NYC - BEST RECOMMENDATION EVER! Dr. Kulla is very personable and really takes the time to get to know his patients. He consistently asked about my family back home, my dog, and even remembers my favorite football team - going to my appointments is like catching with a friend which is nice.My old chiropractor was great and with Dr. Kulla I’m experiencing the same level of relief plus some with some of the PT techniques he uses. He also focuses on the whole body, and was spot on with diagnosing me with a gut problem I was having before I had even seen a gastroenterologist, and Dr. Kulla’s techniques have helped resolve that issue.Unfortunately, Dr. Kulla is an out-of-network provider for me, so seeing him is a little more pricey than I would like, but the level of care I’ve been receiving is worth the extra money.
My friend recommended Doctor Kulla to me when his back pain was healed. Doctor Kulla is very responsible and nice, the diagnosis process is really helpful and the treatment every week is very useful. My pain is healed by 50% after two weeks. He also recommended a lot of useful tips and lessons that are good for my lower back pain.

Dr. Kulla is extremely knowledgable of the human body and a caring chiropractor. I have hip pain and recurrent tightness after surgery. I came to this practice after learning Dr. Kulla has a technique to naturally fix a hiatal hernia. I was desperate to find a holistic way to fix mine, since I didn’t want to resort to surgery. He found multiple misalignments in my body as well, after doing x-rays in my neck, spine and hips and started working on them right away. I feel so safe, heard and comfortable in his care and feel that he confidently knows what he’s doing compared to other Chiros I’ve seen over a few years. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort from my hernia, neck and hips and after just the first two appointments I didn’t feel any of those pains, so I knew I was going in the right direction with healing. Back in 2016 I was diagnosed with foot drop syndrome, caused by a herniated disc which caused a severe sciatica inflammation.I was living in Rio de Janeiro at the time and with 3 months of intense treatment and lots of physiotherapy,I was able to get 70% of the movement of my foot. The problem was I was still feeling a lot of pain in my back and leg.In 2018 I was introduced to Dr. David Kulla on his trip to Brazil and he took an interest in my condition.Finally in March of 2021, I was able to go to NYC and get the treatment that I needed. With his treatments and assistance I was able to get the proper diagnosis and the treatment I needed. I cannot thank him enough for helping me get back on the right track with my therapy! I had a sport injury years ago that went untreated for a long time and was never fully resolved. When I finally met Dr Kulla, he was able to explain to me why that episode gave me a chain of physical problems (stiffness, pain, nerves pain, trigger points etc) and how, starting from the posture, to take care of them. Im glad I can be treated by him. Dr Kulla is serious, professional and empathetic with his patients as well.

I have severe neck pain with headaches and after my adjustments my headaches disappear and I can move my neck without pain. Dr. Kulla is one of the first doctors Ive seen thats focused on the causes of my pain and discomfort rather than just alleviating the symptoms. Hes very easy to talk to and Ive always felt like hes taking the best possible care of me. The atmosphere in his office is very relaxed and friendly. Dr. Kulla has helped me enormously with multiple issues over the years related to back and neck pain. But beyond that he used laser therapy to eliminate my issues with my trigger finger, which completely locked every night and was very painful. The laser treatment really helped to loosen the joint, and he also used it on my clavicle where I was experiencing osteoarthritis, and it is so much better. One of the best things about Dr. Kulla is that he is always up on the most current chiropractic treatments, and will also offer physical exercises which you can use to promote healing yourself.

Dr. David Kullas an excellent Chiropractor. He has helped me with my lower back, my shoulder, and my neck (yeah, my body has a rough history). And today I feel great. Dr. Kulla is one of the best chiropractors I have ever had and I have been to several. I recently found out that I have a disk bulge at L4/L5 and he has been incredibly attentive, taking care to explain to me what that means and some moves that I should avoid as I move towards reducing my chronic pain. He performs an expert adjustment, and offers other services; while I was waiting for him, I tried a foot-leveling device which recommended I get orthotics--and thats probably true.Im feeling much better; having had a couple of longtime chiropractors in a row—who retired—I hope Dr. Dave is going to be around for a while!

10 Years ago I had an herniated disc, a terrible never-ending pain and a surgery that gave me multiple problems due to a wrong physical therapy. Dr. Kulla is a gifted chiropractor. Not only does he have magic hands, but his office staff is so friendly. They have all the latest technology. His exam is so thorough, I was pleasantly surprised. I have a disc herniation of L5/S1 and Dr. Kulla uses a tech Bowie that specializes in disc herniation and disc bulge. Cox flexion distraction technique has been so helpful for me. He diagnosed me after a thorough examination (I’m in the healthcare field) and he took a digital X-ray to confirm diagnosis and also because I had a few bad falls. I was pain free within days and I have been to other chiropractors for sciatica and it’s taken me months to get through the injury. He’s a miracle worker and his staff is sweet and organized!

Dr. Kulla is terrific! I came to him a few months ago for sciatica and back pain which had nagged me for years following a sports injury. Never thought that Chiropractors can help to heal Gut problems. Was having heartburn and indigestion for more than 8 years now. Had seen at least 5-6 Gastroenterologists who end up putting me on PPI pills which is just to mask the problem but not to cure it. And not one of them told me that being for a long time on PPI pills is dangerous for overall health, will do more harm than good over the time. Tried all possible ways to STOP them, but no luck. Always back to them. One night desperately googling online for alternative remedies to treat my heartburn came across Dr. David Kullas video online demonstrating the therapy he does to treat heartburn and all problems associated with it. Did not take it serious, WHY? Because we look for chiropractor when we have joint pain, back pain ...etc. WRONG! I do not know about other chiropractors but Dr. Kulla can help you with heartburn and indigestion problem. I am on 3rd week program, I can tell you that my symptoms approved almost 70-80%. I am not taking any PPI poison for 2 weeks now. Only some supplements for Digestion health.I hope this review will find people who are struggling like I did and will find the RELIEF.
My experiences with Dr. Kulla and his staff have been nothing but excellent. I was referred to Dr. Kulla when I started having back and sciatic problems about 8 months ago. The office was accommodating to get me in the office as soon as possible and helped me work with my insurance. Dr. Kulla helped me resolve my problem quickly, and I continue to see him every few weeks. He shows genuine interest in my life, and Im always impressed by how much he remembers about all his patients. I have gone to different chiropractors since 2011. I would always mention my wrist and ankle pain but most chiropractors focused on my neck and back. It wasn’t until I started going to Synergy that we were able to pin point some of the causes of the ankle and wrist pain. It’s still a work in progress, but I’ve been feeling much better.

I came to Dr. Kulla nearly 10 years ago when sciatica was causing me intense pain. I had been to a few other chriproactors who didnt seem to be able to help me long term. Dr. Kulla diagnosed the issue and got me back to pain free in no time and with long term relief through stretching and other suggested changes that no other doctor has recommended. I cannot say enough how excellent a chiropractor Dr. Kulla is. He is holistic, highly skilled, genuinely cares, and goes above and beyond to make sure youre physically operating at your optimum performance. He does an extensive initial evaluation of your posture, spinal alignment and muscle spasm activity, and even analyzes the structure of your feet for orthotics. I have a neck injury from an old rollover accident and a herniated disk that caused painful sciatica. He has me living a normal active life, treating me every 4-6 weeks. After six years, I would never visit another doctor! I have recommended countless people to him.

After suffering from severe back pain for many years,along with other body aches, I decided to go to a Chiropractor. I came across Dr. Kulla online and he had great reviews so I scheduled an appointment and have been going for approximately 5 months. Initially my reason for going was for back pain. He performed back adjustments and heat therapy which helped greatly reduce the pain. Once he examined my x-rays, he also recommended that I start neck adjustments to alleviate the stiffness in my neck. After adjusting my neck, the stiffness went away along with my headaches/nausea which I had no idea was caused by neck Subluxation.During one of my visits with Dr. Kulla, I discussed my recent diagnosis of Degenerative Arthritis in both knees. I began receiving non-surgical cold laser therapy on my knees and the pain & swelling has gone down 80%.!!Within these past 5 months, not only has the back pain subsided tremendously (My initial reason for going), but my neck stiffness, headaches/nausea are gone and knee pain/swelling is down.I highly recommend Dr. Kulla! He is friendly, very knowledgeable and informative. He explained all diagnoses and treatment to me in terms that were easy to understand plus informed me on ways to maintain physical wellness.

I came into office with spinal Stenosis in my neck and with herniated discs in my lower back.., also the pain was enourmous in both of those areas.. I also had terrible hip and shoulder pain.., I was seriously off balance while walking.. In few weeks my pain in my shoulder and hip was very much alleviated along with the numbness I had in my hands and the spasms also were lessened.. I am very encouraged about how quickly the pain has lessened in all of the above and how well I’m walking .. I couldn’t walk without being off balance hardly.. now I’m without spasms almost entirely , my hip feels much better and I can say my healing is very close to completion.. dr Kulla is very comforting to have working with me and his staff is extremely welcoming.. Broke my finger and came to Kulla for physical therapy (cold laser) after the cast was removed. I was told it would take a month to recover, but Kulla had me at 100% after 2.5 to 3 weeks. He is very passionate about his work and he is extremely good at what he does. Wouldnt recommend anyone else.
He was the only person to help with an issue that Ive been having for 8 months that caused me so many problems and stress mentally and physically.. I went to the ER 5 times for pain in my left side under my rib cage. They did nothing but give mylanta and send me home with a bill. Went to numerous private doctors and they just tried to put me on nexium that didn’t help me at all. I started to suffer from bad acid reflux and an anxiety And couldn’t figure out what was the cause of these issues. He got to the root of my problems which were caused by a hiatal hernia. I noticed a difference from my first visit the pain was barely there. I only felt it a little like it wanted to start hurting but never did. Great Dr, he has helped me a lot. Restored some range of motion I forgot I had! Prompt appointments, friendly comfortable atmosphere, realistic goals, answers all your questions and explains anything. Tip; follow his suggestions for exercise, habits, posture etc. you will improve much faster.
Stretching on the back-stretching (decompression) machine was sublime, and then David did the stair-stepping, in which he holds the head but moves it side-to-side and front-to-back while I lie on the back. This is bliss. He and his predecessor stopped the rotator-cuff pain in the year 2000 that I had developed from playing bagpipes [incorrectly] and sent me to physical therapy. I have been coming here since, sometimes monthly, sometimes more often for things in the back, legs, and arms that need attention.

Dr. Dave is the best! I have been going to him for years!!! He is up to date on the newest technologies & modalities to make me feel aligned. I feel tall and straight when I leave - and it lasts. I trust him to align me & that does not come lightly.
It is my 2nd week going to there and my costochondritis reduced. The pain and discomfort is reduced in half. I dont expect miracles but I saw a noticeable improvement with a short time.

While his technical skills are unsurpassed, Dr. Kullas approach to the entire client is what sets him apart for me. Knowledgeable, honest, kind and patient he is interested in the big picture as much as any specific ache or pain. His techniques and equipment have evolved and he doesnt rely on cookie cutter approaches - every patient is unique. His staff is helpful and the space immaculate. On top of all that, hes a great guy. 2022-03-01Synergy wellness is great. I’ve been to half a dozen chiropractors about my back and injuries for 30 years and finally found someone with a very complete knowledge of more then just spinal issues. Dr. Kulla understands bone structure and how it relates to muscle aches and spasms. As an athlete himself he also understands the root of sport injuries related to the spine and support. I have often been incapacitated and he has brought me out of it feeling better. I recommend him with the highest regard.

2022-01-10After a few visits, for a type II Hiatal Hernia to Dr. David Kulla practice I have experienced excellent results. I have visited so many doctors to try to solve my health issues. I didnt know that most of my symptoms were related to this.Since I was diagnosed with hiatal hernia in 2017 no one was able to help me feel better. No one was able to help me improve my symptoms in 4 years of GI visits than what he did in less than 3 months. Im more than grateful to Dr. Kulla and his staff members! He is so passionate at what hes doing! He quickly relieved my symptoms and set up an ongoing plan to keep me healthy and achieve my goals. His knowledge and techniques for treating patients are excellent. His friendly staff members are great too. They never rush you if you are running late and consistently go the extra mile to fit you in to their schedule. In addition to make you feel comfortable and relaxed while you are waiting for your treatment. This is by far the best chiropractic experience I have had.Traveling from MA to NY wasnt an easy task, but after the first month I knew it was totally worth it!This practice has earned my strongest recommendation to anyone interested in receiving an amazing chiropractic care. 2021-12-15I’ve been seeing Dr. Kulla for several months now for my scoliosis and it has genuinely improved my quality of life. Every visit, I learn more about my spine and how I can participate in my care through exercises at home. Dr. Kulla goes above and beyond a basic adjustment every week, really taking the time to see what my body needs from week to week. The receptionists are also so nice and helpful and they’ve all been so supportive in helping me get the care I need, from their welcoming presence to helping me sort out the financials. I look forward to my visit every week and highly recommend Dr. Kulla for personalized and supportive chiropractic care.

2022-03-14Finally, relief from Hiatal Hernia. After a year of different therapies I was able to find relief from my hiatal hernia pretty quickly. Note, this may not fix the underlying cause; but does offer reliefs. Dr. Kulla is knowledgeable, professional, easy going and intuitive ; Sam at the front desk is a pleasure! A friendly easy going office overall. Very satisfied as a patient.

2021-12-06My family has been seeing Dr Kulla for over a decade. We took our daughter at the tender age of 4 since she had spondylolisthesis. Dr Kulla helped remedy her condition and she is back to normal. My husband and I comes in for periodic adjustments when pain arises. I feel very confortable recommending Dr Kulla and we are happy with the results.

2021-10-06As a new patient, Dr. Kulla has been able to alleviate some of the pain in my low back, knee and neck. Frankly, some of the equipment he has used on me, I feel are more modern or cutting edge. My old chiropractor only applied the heat and cracked. The staff is friendly and the facility has always been clean.
