Dr Battaglia performed surgery on both shoulders a replacement on one and replaced a knee this year. He has told me he can fix anything, and I believe him. I highly recommend him.
Dr Wulff took the time to listen and was very sympathetic of the situation. Its been very difficult going through this process and he has been excellent. I completely trust him.

This was my first appointment with SOS. I was very anxious, but the staff as well as the doctor very quickly made me feel good. I’m so pleased with what is going to happen next for my issue.
So for 3-4 months I have not been able to close my fist tightly. RICE treatment/warm paraffin baths did not help. While the trigger finger of my left ring finger had resolved the inability to close my fist got worse.Day 1 and Day 2 after my office visit with Dr Michael Fitzgerald I can close my left hand as tightly as my right. Dr Fitzgerald was engaging, informed, attentive and apparently very good aim with a needle of lidocaine/cortisone. In addition the staff who escorted me to the room, radiology, warned me that Dr Fitzgerald liked to talk to himself and the office/billing in reception made the visit painless with warm and friendly presentationI will keep the 2nd visit on the calendar in case this minor miracle doesn’t last but you don’t know how happy it has made an old man to be able to do something as simple as close his hand for 3-4 months.Thank you all.
This man is the definition of why I despise going to doctors. I dislocated my knee 10 years ago. About 5 years ago I started having awful pain and swelling in my knee. I am well aware that there is nothing to be done at this point. I came to the office for a cortisone shot to reduce the severe pain Ive been having which made it almost impossible for me to continue working out (which I have been doing for 6 months with great results for everything but my knee).So he walks in, no discussion as to my current issue and what we can do to alleviate my severe pain. He just asked my hight and weight and informed me that I was too over weight and to heavy for a knee replacement which I am too young for anyway. But I do NOT weight enough to be approved for barbaric surgery. So theres that consolation I guess.I did not ask or want any pain medication or any prescription at all, because they dont work anyway.. Just a cortisone shot. Instead I was insulted and told everything that could not be done. He was rude and abrupt with zero bed side manner. I will never allow this man to treat me in anyway again!I came for help and left in tears..shame on you.
SOS is the place to go if you have need to see an orthopedic physicians. They have treated me for carpal tunnel, trigger finger, rotator cuff tear and fractured fingers. I wouldnt go anywhere else for orthopedic care.
SOS has always provided the highest level of care when I visited any of their facilities. Morespecifically, Dr. Newman and his assistant Renee are the very best. Dr Newman and his team preformed a rotator cuff operation on my shoulder two years ago. The entire process went perfectly. I would never consider looking anywhere else.
I received a knee surgery at SOS with doctor Battaglia that went very well so far as I can tell. Highly recommend him for knee surgeries. The clinical staff at the surgery center were top notch - I felt comfortable and in good hands throughout the day of surgery. My only gripe is with some holes in the lines of communication upfront. I was not told about some appointments or the surgery time without pressing and repeated calls (hopefully this isnt everyones experience). That being said, if you manage get yourself on the schedule and in the door on the right day and time with all the boxes checked, youve passed the biggest obstacles and are likely in store for a successful surgery!
The staff and my doctor at SOS were wonderful! Dr. Lemley took the time to review my MRI with me and thoroughly explain what the next step in my treatment needed to be. SOS is where you need to go when you are dealing with any orthopedic issues!!
Welcoming experience at my first appointment at the Camillus location. Staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable.
The absolute worst experience Ive ever had. They gave me a 1pm appointment. I got there 15 minutes early and was put in an exam room.I could hear Dr Riggs taking to patients in the adjacent exam rooms. Several came and went before I went out at 1:45 to ask if I was going to be seen. Ill check and let you know.I heard her with another new patient at 1:50.I walked out at 2 and told them it was the most unprofessional office I had been to.I will NEVER go to the Camillus location again.
SOS has done an excellent job in taking care of my knee , thank you to all involved in my medical journey .
I had a great experience with SOS. I was running a few minutes late for my appointment and called ahead. They were able to see me right away. I am very pleased
I have a bizarre condition and SOS came highly recommended by fellow health care professionals. I have been treated wonderfully by all the SOS staff starting with the receptionist staff, the Dr.s, everyone at the surgery center through both of my surgeries, the nursing staff and PA Kevin Lake. Only once in my many visits did I have to wait more than a few minutes to be seen at my scheduled time.
Dr. Battaglia was excellent! Very personable, straightforward and honest. He was very thorough with discussing options and plan of care- EXACTLY what I was hoping for! I got right in, all of the staff was friendly and kind. Very happy with my experience and I feel confident in my choice to pick SOS and Dr. Battaglia!
I got in to see Dr Battaglia on a busy Monday when I called in the morning after a weekend injury. Between filling out paperwork, speaking with a nurse in an inside room, having x-rays taken, seeing Dr. Battaglia, getting quality diagnosis, shown how to use a knee brace and heading home my total time at the appointment was less than 40 minutes. So great! Thank you SOS!

From appointment set up to the moment I left and everything in between, everything went very smoothly. Every member of the staff was very courteous and professional. Dr Battaglia took his time to listen to my questions and made sure that I understood the diagnosis and prognosis. Very rare from my experience with other physicians. I found him very knowledgeable and very down to earth. I will be returning to this practice.

Excellent professionals from the office staff to the doctor. Treated well and the doctor listened to my medical issues. Offered choices and did not push any one thing on me. While the medical issue was not solved with one visit the pain was reduced substantially. Will have no hesitation on going back for a follow-up.
I found staff very professional and answered all my questions. I had short period of time of waiting to be seen by doctor. I had good experience with SOS. Melissa Butler NP was very personable and spent time answering my questions and concerns .
Dr. Battaglia was very helpful with my shoulder. After waiting two months for it to heal on its own and still not even close to 100% I mostly went in to make sure everything was alright. It was very quick to get in and have an X-ray then get the treatment I needed and after only a week it’s back to where it was before my injury, super thankful for the help. The staff is very professional and kind would highly recommend to anyone!!
I used to love SOS. Dr.Fatti was an amazing doctor and surgeon. I know go to Dr.Fitzgerald since Dr.Fatti retired. Dr. Fitzgerald has chosen on many occasions not to assist me with my problems. He then sent me to physical therapy. When my physical therapist suggested that he perform a test for further information he shut it down and wouldn’t consider it. I have never gone to a doctor where I have felt this disregarded. I would go to anyone else but him.
I had rotator cuff surgery eight years ago and am thoroughly pleased with the results. I will likely have the other shoulder repaired soon by Dr. Newman.
Dr. Cassandra Riggs is amazing at what she does, and has incredible bed-side manner. She has done surgery on my husbands finger, and recently has corrected my sons broken arm. the whole office and staff both times was incredible. thank you all💗
I’ve been seeing Doctor Newman for quite a few years now and can’t say enough about how he, along with Renee and the the entire staff, have been great.He listens to my questions and always answers in terms I can understand.

I had my first appointment this morning with Stephanie. Being a bit nervous, I approached the check-in window not knowing what to expect. My hesitation and nervousness was immediately released when I was greeted with a “good morning “ and bright smiles. This place is awesome. Even though the physical therapists at this place are seeing us at our worst, we are treated with the utmost patience and care. Stephanie gently walked me through my evaluation and exercises, never pushing me to go farther than was comfortable for me. This was a breeze. I have 7 more sessions scheduled and I am actually looking forward to them. I learned a lot about my arthritis today, I expect that will continue. I highly recommend SOS!

A little hard to find as a storm blew down their sign outside of the Hospital. Great customer service and even better patient care. By far my favorite SOS office!
1. They pressured me to have appointments with a physical therapy assistant who was not as good as the PT.2. They changed my program of exercises on a schedule instead of because they were evaluating my progress.3. There was little oversight of whether I was performing the exercises properly.4. I was at one hour long appointment where contact time with the PT was under 5 minutes.
Dr Fitzgerald was very friendly and very informative.I will be glad to refer any of my friends who might need orthopedic help!
He told me what I needed to do, even tho I don’t like it, he was gentle.

I have been going to SOS for years. Dr. Bogosian Is outstanding. His Physician Assistance Mellissa Butler is one of best in the business.they are both surrounded by a great supporting cast. Nurses andadministrative staff.
Dr. Battaglia did my ACL (and torn meniscus) repair and I STILL couldnt be more thankful he was my surgeon. My knee is stable and fully functional still (now 5 years post-op) and given my type of tear my scarring was minimal!
Dr Lemley was Awesome!He spent time explaining my options , outcomes , and what to expect. He answered all of my questions, and I never felt rushed .
Very nice always a good place my doctor Miss Butler I think her name is always takes care of me everyone in the office is great except for yesterday I had one little thing its not their fault its insurances fault I have two knees and I need two knee braces I got my knee shot up but I only can have one knee brace every 6 months so that just strange I dont know why a doctor cant write their insurance company and say he needs two knee braces cuz he has two knees but that didnt happen but I can get another knee brace in 6 months which doesnt help much now sad but true but the rest of the office I love it thank you have a great day God bless
Went as I was having problem with knee everyone was very pleasant and Dr Botaglia laid everything out gave me my options and explained everything along the way. Would recommend to everyone.

Dr. Lemley confirmed my GPs diagnosis (tendonitis) and I received treatment the same day. Within a few days I was pain free. Very pleased.

A severe dog bite required an orthopedic consult so I was referred to S.O.S. I honestly cant say enough of how positive my experience was from check-in right through to making the follow up appt. The administrative staff friendly, professional & efficient. I did have a short wait before being called back but they had fit me in at the last minute so... My nurse was awesome. She was top notch at the nursey stuff, but also took time connect with me, sharing pics & anecdotes about her pitties (I own a pitbull mix). She had me smiling for the first time since the attack. Dr. Riggs was equally wonderful. She immediately connected with me as a person, not just her next patient. She was thorough, professional, friendly & patient. I was given all the time I needed to ask questions & to clarify info. When she was done I KNEW that Id be ok & would be able to work through the trauma, both physically and mentally. So three cheers for Dr. Riggs & everyone else at S.O.S. And if you read any negative reviews like I did, dont believe everything you read (well, except my review of course). Youre in the BEST of hands here.

2022-04-12The office was clean and all of the covid-19 precautions were observed. All of the staff members were helpful and friendly. They even wished me a happy birthday. I felt like Dr. Battaglia listened to me to get to know me and gave me options on how to proceed with my treatment.It was a little bit busy so I had to wait past my original appointment time, but once I got a room I didnt wait long for the doctor to get to me.

2022-06-07I injured my knee and at first, I went to another Orthopedic Dr and did not receive the best treatment and was not impressed at all with the staff.I decided to get a second opinion and Dr Todd Battaglias name came up several times when I asked some local people for recommendations as I am new to the Central NY area.Dr Battaglia is excellent and and I immediately felt confident that I am in the right hands for my recovery. His background is impressive and he is very personable for such a busy Dr.His staff is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I made the right decision and am very happy!!

2022-03-23Very nice staff. Dr Battaglia is thorough and you do not feel rushed at all. This was his second injection into my shoulder, and I felt practically nothing,he has wonderful technique with the needle.The only criticism is that it was difficult to find the office in Camillus (there are 3 buildings). A sign would help.

2022-06-14SOS took charge of my care a few years ago when I needed a clavicle repair and another doctor said it would heal. After 11 months it did not heal and I found Dr. Bataglia. He did my repair and was very successful!

2022-07-01This was tough to rate. Administration at the surgery sight was clearly over worked. Part of me wanted to give them a 5 star just for showing up to work. However the reason they are understaffed and overworked has to do the oppressive behavior of N.Y. government combined with conflicting and cryptic information concerning the vaccine. Id rather not sweep that fact under the rug.

2022-02-03I am very pleased with everything about my Doctor and the care his team has provided. My new knee has provided many normal activities. But for the most part I am not taking medicine that has left my stomach with ulcers. It has been months of taking pain medicine which is a plus with my back to normal activities.
