BUYER BEWARE. This funeral home is absolutely unorthodox and uncompassionate to family. Our deceased member was cremated and this funeral home disregarded specific instructions of the parents (next of kin) only to satisfy the wants of a girlfriend. This is not about family drama (the family is well connected) - this is about whats legal and morally correct. It is illegal to steal ashes and this funeral home intentionally did just this. They also released receipts to parties who have no right to such paperwork, however, refused to give receipts to the parties (which happens to be the parent and next of kin of the deceased) a copy that actually paid. UNBELIEVABLE. My family is disgusted and has never seen anything so disheartening. For our family, we will be pursuing legal action.
I dont usually do reviews but I had to for this. My mom just passed away On May 21, 2021 it was a surprise to my family. I live in Florida my mom lives in NJ and wanted to be buried in The Bronx NY my siblings also live in different states and cities.After shopping around for the best price I met Mrs. Carrillo via the phone and she is the only one that showed any compassion and to me it didnt sound like another business transaction.She was so professional, she answered all my 1000 questions her team went above and beyond what her job was. In a time of grieving she made it special for my family and I. We were able to do pretty much almost everything remotely. She took great care of my mom.She made her beautiful, The casket was beautiful, the arrangements. I also wanted to mentioned many people could not make it they provided live feed to everyone who could not attend in person including the burial. She organized the program, prayer cards and presented a special gift of my mom to our grandmother.The funeral place was clean all the staff was welcoming, organized and professional. I highly recommend T Carrillo Funeral Services 4363 Bronx NY. Let them know Ivan recommended you.
If I could give them more stars I would! I have been to a few funerals in my life and I can honestly say the one T Carrillo has given my grandfather was by far my best experience! Exceptional customer service & beautiful creativity throughout the entire service. It was literally more than me and my family could ask for .. they went above and beyond as if it was their own family and nothing could feel better at the time of grieving. As I write this review tears are streaming down my cheeks. My nephew passed away and my sister had to plan to lay her son to rest. In searching for a funeral home, she came upon Carrillo Funeral Service. It is managed and run by a husband and wife team, Tyrell and Diamond. I walked into the building and warmth filled my heart. They greeted us immediately at the door. The building is beautiful and is well kept. It was my sister’s first time planning a funeral and they took very very good care of her. They took the time to discuss every detail as well as what will take place every step of the way. They listened tentatively to what our hearts desired for the day. They customized everything to represent my nephew and our family. Once we discussed exactly what we needed, they planned the entire funeral service. We were beyond pleased and I will always love them for how tentative they were. I highly recommend T. Carrillo Funeral Service. Losing a loved one is hard and can be stressful when planning. My life partner passed unexpectedly in April. This was my first experience planning a funeral. Something drew me to T. Carrillo and Im glad I did not second guess my decision. They treated me respectfully. They understood and were patient with me. The location is large, clean and does not give off an old stuffy funeral hone vibe. They set up his room to represent HIM. I was worried about my love looking like he did in life. T. Carrillo surpassed my expectations and the tears as I walked in to see him for the first time were tears of relief. I could finally breathe. Everything turned out perfectly and I cannot thank T. Carrillo enough. I will be forever grateful.

Music playing his song and farewell songs . T. Carrillo letting us know during the viewing talk about good memories where we forgot that we was at a funeral laughing and joking and reminiscing on the old pictures that was displaying big on the tv. Jokes after Jokes in front of the casket like you remember this time or this time. With no sad moment fulling our eyes because we know he’s at peace and we are at peace to make this last moment special for him. T. Carrillo runs with great timing. Every time we turned around we seen a picture of him. The icing on the cake was exactly leaving, T. Carrillo personalize a bag with my brother picture on it saying he goes everywhere with you now. Just carry him on your shoulder. T. Carrillo is truly something special and everybody should stop by. You will see how different and magically it is. Catering to your needs and loved ones as well. I found it to be a very nice,spacious, clean and modern facility. The service for our loved one was beautiful. They provided our family a variety of options from caskets to obituaries,etc. They helped us planned everything down to the final details.

At first I was skeptical and my Brother insisted that we use your funeral home. I thought this does not look like a funeral home because I like traditional setting . I was wrong !!!! The Carrillos and their staffs professionalism was awesome and helped to make my familys loss experience easier to navigate and bear. They were very compassionate and respectful to our needs and wants for our loved ones celebration of life.
From my first phone call with Dimon Carrillo, I knew that I had called the right place. I explained to her that this was my first time making a funeral arrangement and was clueless. She assured me that I was in good hands and within minutes of our conversation I had an itemized quote of what the expenses would be. When we met she listed everything that she would need from me to make my dads homegoing smooth. The office itself was so family orientated. I didnt feel sad at all BUT that didnt stop her from constantly asking me if I was ok. Whenever I had a question, no matter what time of day it was she would respond. Even when the first cemetery was not able to accommodate our date for the burial by the time she reached out to me to tell me she had already found another one with the same date. On the day of the service I was just BLOWN away by the details that she had put into my dads homegoing. I know my dad was proud himself. After the service and the following day people came to me and said that they had been to many funerals but this was by far the best. It was just unique in every way. Even my family from Belize was able to be be a part of the homegoing via Facebook private group. Bottom line, if you need a place that feels like family and is on top of every detail go see T. My father passed away during this Pandemic and I was referred to this funeral by Woodlawn Cemetery, and specifically to Tyrell Carrillo, and Im grateful that I was. I never had to plan a funeral for someone this close to my family. I had no idea where to start and which way to go. I spoke to Tyrell who is extremely knowledgeable of the process and who was able to connect with my pain, my worries, and answer my questions in a way that provided me clarity every moment of the process. Also, due to the Pandemic a lot of family members could not be present, but this funeral/Tyrell, was able to help my family stay connected during the funeral ceremony web live, which helped us all feel connected during such a difficult time. Im grateful that I was able to find such great service during such a difficult time at T. Carrillo Funeral Service, LLC. 2021-10-22When my mother passed away out of State, I felt incredibly pressured to bring her back home to New York City and to find a place where her family and friends could both mourn and celebrate her. My family had been using another funeral home in the Bronx for decades that felt like the natural choice but That I was never happy with. I googled other locations and T. Carrillo seemed to be a consensus choice as providing excellent service for their clients. I called them up and I was immediately comforted and they started the process of bringing my mom home. I met with Mrs. Carrillo the next day, she was professional, comforting, ethical and never rushed me. She asked me about my moms life and what kind of person she was so that they could tailor a proper celebration of her life. I was able to take the time I needed in my grief to arrange what I thought would be a way for my mom to be respected and celebrated. The service itself was wonderful, they didn’t miss a single detail, the room was spacious and comfortable . My mom looked beautiful and dignified. The flowers, the music, the programs and prayer cards, the photo collages and so many other miscellaneous details were perfect. Mr. and Mrs. Carrillo and their entire staff were friendly and professional the entire time and took care of EVERYTHING (I mean that literally) to meet my needs and responsibilities. I heard compliments from so many members of my family and my friends about how great the service was. I could not recommend them more highly.

My family and friends was so surprised how amazing and a wonderful the services was. The slide photos, the musician, pastor, set up of the flowers and prayers were excellent. I highly recommend T. 2022-04-03Mr. & Mrs. Carrillo catered to our every need during an extremely painful time. They were patient, understanding and helpful. Their funeral services for my mother-in-law went beyond our expectations. The organist and pastor were wonderful. We could not believe the musical talent. When the organist played and sang “Amazing Grace” - there was not a dry eye in the entire chapel. We can’t thank T. Carrillo Funeral Services enough.

2021-09-05Absolutely amazing! Mr. and Mrs. Carrillo go above and beyond to make sure your departed loved one is taken care of. They pay attention to detail and customize each visitation according to the deceased personality. They are warm-hearted and compassionate which made this process so much easier for my family. Their wake/funeral etiquette is excellent. They only book 1 service a day to give your family the respect and privacy needed in such a difficult time. Prices aren’t outrageous. If you’re looking for a place that respects your family and delivers a dignified memorial — you’ve found the right place!

The details of a warm family environment is provided. They payed attention to every detail our family wanted in our loved ones celebration of life. We had a Pastor with a musician who played the piano while singing beautiful gospel music which touched the hearts of all who who were present in the service. I highly recommend this funeral to have your love ones celebration of life.

2021-10-10Unfortunately I’ve been to many funerals in my life, but the funeral for my mom done by T. Carrillo Funeral Service is the I’ve seen best by far. Ive never had to plan a funeral before but they made the process so easy. It didn’t feel like a business transaction, you could tell these are genuine people. Everything was done very well and I couldn’t have asked for more for my moms home going service. I truly appreciate their services and would recommend them to everyone.

2022-03-29When my mom passed I was a bit lost but the Carillos made this process so much easier and made it all about my mom. From the flower , decor to preparing mom and adding every detail we expressed that my mom loved was shown that day. They made us feel like family. I would definitely recommend them for the celebration of life for any family or friend.
