Little hole in the wall. The tea barista (I canβt even call them a tea master because they were of no help when picking teas) was in her own world staring into her phone. Also I got three different teas and they were brought out all at the same time so when I was ready to drink my third tea it was cold.

2022-06-19TShop was an amazing experience! We had a tea tasting with Teresa and could not have asked for a better experience. While our timing was a little off (we had to wait about fifteen minutes and then went half an hour later than originally scheduled) every other detail was amazing.Teresa asked about our tea preferences and experiences and curated an individual tea tasting experience, full of interesting history and information. The place is small β there was one other group when we started and another which walked in right before we left, but had the place to ourselves for most of the experience. We tried Taiwanese, Chinese, and Korean teas, which were each steeped four different times. As we tried each, Teresa shared with us the history and traditions of the teas, the significance behind different practices, and her personal experiences of visiting different tea regions across the world. We will definitely be back π«

2022-03-18The tea here is superb! From the first cup of my gaiwan-brewed guided tasting, Old Bush Dan Cong Man Tang Xiang was poignantly flavorful. Even for my amateur tongue, the notes (grape skin with its slight bitterness) hit with astonishing strength, setting it apart from nearly every other tea Ive had. The feel became rounder with each subsequent steeping, and my tea expert taught me the best way to breathe after a cup to fully enjoy the lingering aroma. At the end of my tasting, I refused to try another tea because I was still thoroughly enjoying the aftertaste, which had morphed to a full juiciness that kept me smiling for at least 15 minutes after leaving the store. So why not 5 stars? I would have given 4.5 stars if I could. Truthfully this comes from disappointment that my experience was so brief. After the 5th steeping, I was told that was all the guided tasting included. I dont know if I missed this information in fine print somewhere, but I was expecting at least 9 steepings. Ive done at least 12 with a gongfu-brewed high quality red tea that I wouldve kept steeping (there was a beautiful sweet potato flavor that was still so strong even after so many steeps) if I hadnt had to go. Plus, part of how I judge a tea is by how many steeps I can get out of it, especially since high quality tea is pricy and thus a luxury for me. I figure this is a guideline intended to get through long lines of customers, but I was the only customer when I arrived, the entire time I was there, and when I left.Definitely stop by for the high quality tea and the knowledgeable and friendly workers, but maybe factor in service rules that might prevent you from getting as much tea as possible out of a single pot if that matters to you.

2022-06-20Lovely gem in the city, the experience was well worth it! Went with girlfriend as she was interested in online orders of quality tea leave bit ended up exploring the phyaical location on a whim - it did not disappoint. Cozy and inviting decor, to top off a very professional and engaging guided tea tastings, would definitely recommend and lookig forward to our next visit and possible purchase of that perfect tea!

2022-06-26The owner doesnβt understand the meaning of hospitality. Turned us away for not having masks, months after all government mandates went away. Insisted that we show IDs in addition to vaccination certificates, and all without any indications of welcoming us to his totally empty store. Pathetic.

2022-02-16Small shop tucked away, (passed by it a couple of times). We sat for afternoon tea with friends. Service was helpful (and knowledgeable) in choosing from the variety of teas they had in stock. There are seating for max of 8 people. We got luck with the one table for 4. It was nice respite from the shopping on noho. Would come back for a tea tasting, (but requires a rez)

2022-01-15Very small and intimate tea shop. only one party at a time for table to sit down. You can make reservations. Came in on a whim with a friend for tea but only tea tastings available. There were Green, White, and Oolong. Glad we did, as the tea was great and the owner very knowledgeable about the seepings and variety of teas. We only had time for 1 tasting, the Yunnan Silver Tip (white tea). Menu changes by the season, so we will be returning!

2021-10-25Lovely authentic high quality teas. We did a tea tasting experience and the owner was knowledgeable, super attentive to us and the tea brewing itself. They have Korean teas too which are rarer to come by. Loved their diversity of oolong and raw puerh offerings. Will definitely come back. (One thing to note - they only have one table & one party at the counter at this time due to covid.)

2022-06-26The guy on duty was rather unpleasant and unwelcoming. After a brief encounter, we walked out. Unfortunate.

2017-06-10Very comfortable slow paced tea house. A wide variety of prices, so people can get introduced to high quality tea at their own pace and budget. This t-shop seems to grow with its customers curating tea based and interests.

2019-09-01Nice selection of teas that are well prepared. Also a solid ambiance, not a boisterous, bar-like environment, just the host a guests talking with the hum of the AC.
