Food is good when the order is taken and delivered correctly. There are people at the restaurant who get on the phone and tell porkies about what they recorded for an order and then when they are asked their name they then also tell untruths about that too.Restaurant would be better served having people who are customer-service oriented answer the phone.People pretending to be managers and not telling the truth about their names after messing up will surely eat into 4.5 stars as is currently happening. Sort it.
I did place an order through uber eats and I placed priority delivery after one hour I called them and was told my order was still not ready if im not happy I can just cancel it. So my point if you not able to make on time orders and you back up, do not take more orders, it seems like the people like to make the money but dont want to provide the service
**** IT’S HALAL****A great place for a fancy style restaurant with a date or a group of people. Seating is a plenty. Easily can fit 8-12 people together.Menu is great and rich tasty food. Alsways fresh. I have brought plenty of my family that come to visit, here at this place. Always had a great experience.Prices are above average but the food itself is above average too.Great ambiance. Not plenty of dessert options but you won’t need to because the actual food is good enough and its filling.
Spacious restaurant with nice lighting and huge tables. We didnt wait long before our appetizers came flying out.Everything tasted so fresh and homemade, from the salad to the tilapia, to the flavorful and tender chicken kebabs, to the falafel and yummy eggplant spread. Surprisingly, the calamari was good. Not rubbery like most places.Staff is very friendly and attentive and they gave us great dish recommendations. I cant wait to come back and try dessert!
If youre looking for some great Turkish food, this place has it. I was recommended through some family who stumbled upon this place and loved it so I thought I would give this place a chance. Great atmosphere, the decor is beautiful and the best part is the food is amazing. No wonder they are Zagat rated. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a night out.
Nice atmosphere and great food, service is very well also. The music and voice of talking customer took me to Turkey market, although i have never had a chance to be there.I would recommend to visit here if you have a chance. I was there in weekdays. Its busy but not full. You may need to wait for a table in weekend.
Got chicken kebab over rice and baklava. The chicken kebab comes with ten pieces of grilled chicken, grilled tomato, grilled jalapeño, marinated onions and pita bread over rice pilaf. The veggies had a nice char to them, the rice of fluffy and separated, and the jalapeño comes whole with seeds so it can get pretty intense. The chicken was tasty but slightly dry because it’s all white meat. The entree was plentiful and could be enough for two or one very hungry person. I like the homemade tzatziki sauce but the hot sauce packets that came with takeout is mediocre and undeserving of gracing my kebabs. The baklava is great and comes with three pieces.Taci is a tasty place for Turkish food.
I have always appreciated this place and their good vibes. The food is delicious and the prices are fair. A little hard to find parking but worth the effort. Especially great for a late lunch / early dinner when its a little less crowded. Great service and always a warm friendly greeting and smile from the waitperson.
Food was delicious and I am happy to consider myself a “regular customer” even if I don’t get to eat there often. Was particularly pleased to know if a mistake is made with an order, they do everything to make it right. So now I appreciate the food and the customer service!
Hidden gem! The best Turkish food I’ve ever had! The decor and presentation isn’t the best, but the food is. Service is average and there’s a short wait most of the time. Prices are fair and you will leave happy. Any lamb dish is a must and the baklava for dessert is delicious.
TURKEY 🇹🇷Eat the World NYC review:We recently revisited Coney Island Avenue mainstay Tacis Beyti to check in on the now 30-year old restaurant. The food seems just as good as ever, and the place is run like a well-oiled machine even on busy weekend nights. In the eight years we have been coming here, I cannot recall one mistake or bad plate.°Beyti is a reference to a famous chef and restaurant in Istanbul that opened in 1945, a place presidents and royalty (and you) go for kebabs, and eventually the name of a unique kebab named after the mans creation. Here deep in Brooklyn it has inspired one of the citys best Turkish restaurants.
The food definitely deserves a WOW. The Shepherd Salad is the best one I’ve ever had so far. So is the mixed grill I could finish it all by myself easily. People who are working there are friendly and helpful. The missing one star is due to the wait time. We went there for an early dinner on Thursday night. The restaurant was more than half empty but it still took us a while to have our food.
One of the best, of not the best Turkish restaurant in the city. Been coming here for years. Quality of the food and service is still unbeatable. If you want to experience authentic Turkish food, dont even think of going somewhere else. Kudos to staff and chefs! Great job!
Love this place. The food is great, the service is good, however at the end of the shift, the waiter looks unhappy as if we tipped him a little bit. We gave him 20%! Same with the hostess, was nasty on the phone. I guess theyre super busy with the delivery orders because we saw a lot of delivery packaged food, but cmon be nice to the patrons! We are the ones who tip you
Not very happy yesterday I went to dinner and when I paid the bill I dropped 1000 us rolled up, I left the restaurant and returned immediately when I realized it, they talked that they had security cameras and could not be seen, nor did they try to help me see if they were lying down. Call later to see what I could see on the cameras and the employees hung up my phone. What a lack of solidarity, customer service and security because the money fell there is someone who had to take it either employees or people who were not many. I wont go again
This is the best Mediterranean / Turkish food in South Brooklyn (and quite possibly New York). I dont know who their chef is but their level of cooking is noticeably different from competition. Prices are slightly higher than those of similar cuisine but its worth it.
This was on a Sunday night,First of all, the taste: its OK, nothing special. I tasted İskender and Doner Kebap. The portion size was good. For İskender, it might have even been too big, decide for yourself if that is good or bad. This place was really hyped up to me, especially the İskender, and it was a massive disappointment for me.The place: You get in, and wait for many minutes to be seated. I waited for 15 minutes and then told them, thats when they seated me. If I had not asked, I might have waited for longer. The service: The service was OK, again, nothing special, nothing specifically bad. I did however feel that we werent given enough care when we were waiting to be seated. The cost: I found the prices a bit too high, check pictures of the menus and decide for yourself.Would I go or recommend the place to anyone? No.
I order from this place a lot and we like their food. We made an order for delivery on Mothers day for 120$.I understand that this is a busy day, but if you cant make it, dont take the order! We were waiting for almost 2 hours, when I called to ask about what is going on? They apologized and delivered almost cold food 20 minutes later...
My friend and I had an excellent time at Taci Beytis this week. We called ahead and the owner, Ersin, made sure that there was a table for two for us during an especially busy time of the night. We were promptly greeted by Mehmet, who promptly got us water, wine glasses, and some bread to munch on while we decided what to order. Everything was excellent and came out super quickly. I ordered my favorite, the chicken kebabs, and my friend ordered the Mix Grill. We also tried the Eggplant Spread and the Eggplant Tomato Spread, which were good additions to the bread & hummus (and good toppings for our mains).Overall, I can definitely see why Tacis Beyti is Zagat Ranked. BYOB, and even though its fairly South of Brooklyn, its definitely worth the trek if you enjoy Turkish food.PS: its also VERY GREAT for groups. My table was for two, but the waitresses also handled neighboring parties of 6-8 with ease.
I had lunch with my husband & kids today. We came from South Jersey. The food was good but the waitress was horrible. She didn’t once come to ask how everything was if we need anything. One person took the order the other was serving someone else was bringing the check. Horrible waitress!!! Another table had the same response to the service! I didn’t leave any tip & definitely never coming back again because of the service !!!
The service here on Friday night was very poor and the food was not all that. The fish ordered by 3 came 25 minutes before the meat ordered dishes and we didnt really eat together. Staff were nice but had no control or order with the kitchen. Not Wow as was told but just ok.
I was so happy leaving this place the first time I went. Great service, really good authentic Turkish food, the portions are just right and the prices. Theres a lot of space here for parties or family gatherings. I wish I knew about this place sooner. I had the lamb sauté which was absolutely delicious, their shepherd salad is one of the best and their bread deliciously warm. I definitely recommend this place any day of the week. Turkish cuisine kept classic, hard to find in Nyc with so many Mediterranean and Turkish restaurants opening up.
My family has been eating at this restaurant for over 25 years. Great food. When people would find out Im Turkish and ask about Turkish food, I would always tell them if you want as authentic as possible, go to Tacis. Its a smidge overpriced but worth it bc of the food and employees. I placed a delivery order 2 weeks ago. They forgot my cacik, no problem. The lady I spoke to said she couldnt send the driver back out just for cacik (that was annoying bc they made the mistake and shouldve resolved it) But, I let it go and decided to order again today as mistakes do happen. The lady offered a free desert for the mistake, nice. No worries. Today I call and some lady named Ken whom I explained to what happened before. Asked her to check my phone number to confirm. First, she gives me an address only used once. I gave her my correct address as I have ordered food here a million times before. Now, instead of just taking my order, she says she has to see if she can send a delivery driver to my location. I told her they have delivered here every time. She then proceeds to argue with me over my address, what I ordered, and what desert I can have bc of their mistake. I asked to to stop cutting me off when Im speaking, that wasnt possible. I asked to speak with a manager or owner, that was not possible as she claimed that she was the only one available. I told her ahe was rude and disrespectful. She told me I was the one being rude for asking for a manager. I asked whne the boss will be in and she tells me she doesnt know and that I can call anyone I want. She doesnt care. Long story longer, Tacis just lost a customer of 20 something years and ALL referrals from me. I think its sad and disgusting that a business now has to lose customers bc of such disgusting employees.
They don’t pick up their phones I have ordered lahmacun 3 hours ago and still waiting they had delivery address wrong and I can’t reach them by phone it goes directly to voice messageI would like owner to know what is going on this is not the first time, they expect you to eat cold foodThey are not apologizing not even picking up the phone
A really good lunch restaurant. Went with coworkers. It was our first time at the restaurant and was very pleased. The service was good, the food tasted great, was served quickly and the price was reasonable. 3 out of 4 of us got chicken kabobs and everyone raved about them. Our server was friendly and courteous.
Quality Turkish food for decent prices. The restaurant has lots of room so its great for groups and parties. I wanted to try this restaurant since I saw the television ads(I think it was television). But the food did not disappoint, the Adana kebab was delicious as well as the chicken kebabs(both regular and in hot yogurt). The hot yogurt one has a surprise underneath the sauce(fried crunchy pita). I have never had chicken kebabs served this way but it was a tasty way incorporate the pita. I almost got to mention, I loved the hummus and eggplant spread. Both of the dips served with the house made bread, was a winner winner kebab dinner.
I cannot believe how unprofessional the staff is. The female waitress with blondish hair THE WORST person ever very unprofessional very rude i cannot believe shes working there she literally stared at our table the whole time basically rushing us and didn’t even greet us we even tipped her and she didnt even say thank you even tho she didn’t deserve it!!!
I adore this spot! They have splendid food, their menu is varied, The chief cook in that place is a real pro, I love a lot eating all their dishes. The dishes are always tasty, the attitude towards the customers is good. I visit often this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it to all.
Nice restaurant, nice host and servers, and good, freshly made Turkish pide. They were busy when I went around dinner time on a Thursday. Ordering and waiting for takeout at the restaurant took over an hour. Getting a table is quicker than getting takeout. When it comes to food allergies, they cant guarantee which ingredients the food has or doesnt have, especially if theyre busy.
This place is amazing! I love the food and service! The best part that caught my attention was the size of the tables and the amount of room you have between tables. I expected this spot to be cramped but it was roomier than most places. The food is AMAZING i fell in love with the mixed platter and pides. Deff recommend!!!!
Amazing food. We ordered delivery and everything was packaged nicely with no spills, which we appreciated. Food was super hot and delicious and came early which was nice. Im vegetarian and my friends are carnivores so theres something for everyone. Absolutely obsessed with their lentil soup and tabbouleh. Highly recommend, because its hard to find good authentic Turkish food. Ive tried other places and they have been a disaster. So happy I found this place. My new go to. Thank you Taci!
Outstanding Turkish catering restaurant. Staff and owners super friendly. Everyone loved the food and everyone in our party said theyd be back for dinner. Reservation suggested, as it was full house when we were there, a Saturday night. Fortunately we had our own private room on the side..
We love this place. Have been there multiple times and was impressed every time with the quality of the food and service. Very good kebabs. Definitely recommend their specialty dessert “kanafe”. They make it to order and it well deserves the wait and goes very well with the Turkish tea.
The food was wonderful and the cook (may have been the owner) was so kind. We were fasting and he adjusted the food cooking to be correct for us and provided items to break the fast all of which was above and beyond what we expected. We will certainly keep this on our short list of approved restaurants!
This place never disappoints. The food is incredibly delicious. Get ready for your taste buds to start buzzing with flavor. Every single thing here is amazing. This is the best Turkish Food Ive ever had by far. And let me add, Ive been coming here for years and the service and the taste of the food have remained top notch. This place is serious about making your experience a good one.
A wonderful experience can be had at this amazing Turkish restaurant. All the dishes that we sampled were outstanding. The staff was friendly and helped in answering our questions. I would recommend a visit there. It is also a perfect birthday party restaurant as they have a separate room for large groups. Try the doner kebabs with yogurt -- they are the best!
From the first moment you arrive in that place the personel give you a nice feeling. Very courteous crew, it is a happy restaurant to pass time with friends and colleagues or with your date. Great meals, qualified chef, comfortable price and generous service. Highly recommended.
Love it!! Cant recommend this place enough...the food, the vibe, everything is great. Truth be told, you need to be ok with a lot of buzz around you, but thats actually one of the things I love most. Everything I have ordered so far from the menu was delicious and as authentic as it gets outside of Turkey.
No Service!!It was about 8:30 at night on a Tuesday no one at the restaurant except one couple, In the other Room 2 waitress were doing side work, right next to them 3 men looked like the management ( tipik )Waited 5 minutes for someone to great me and seat me, then I waited another 10, no one came i walked out
Placed order new years eve when they opened for 3pm. Arrived and food was ready on time and hot. Everything was absolutely delicious, as always. Highly reccomned the liver cubes. Staff are very polite and highly attentive. Extra lavash and all utensils and sauces included, plus extra veggies. Deff a go to place for high quality food and high quality service. Thank you for making my familys new years dinner outstanding.
This comes from a kid that lived and grew up in bk all his life. This is the best Turkish restaurant. They been in business for a long time. Sahara use to be good, but now the owners arent even Turkish. This is like the old school Turkish restaurant that use to be very good.

2022-06-10Our family tried this Resturant today, hearing good things and coming all the way from Long Island. Service was excellent, the dining area is very clean and has a beautiful vintage look. We were greeted with a warm smile by the staff. Our waitperson was a young boy that took care of our table nicely, serving bread, butter, and drinks to get us started. We were unfamiliar with the menu, but he was very patient and happy to answer all of our questions. After hearing some recommendations, we decided to go with several Mix Grill’s for the main course. Everything from the Bread, Appetizers, Salad, to the main course were served on a timely manner by our waiter. This resturant was well worth the trip! Great experience overall, we’ll be sure to visit again! 5/5(The main reason I gave 4 Stars is because although the dining area is nice and peaceful, the phones from the delivery kept ringing and ringing, and when picked up, the delivery persons were very loud and we could hear every word that was said. I wish they could put some background music like coffee shops do, or something else to make the deliveries phones less distracting.)

2021-09-11This food was soo good. I had the salmon and my friend had the sword fish. If you cant pick go for the sword fish, it was soo good, salmon is also delicious. The hummus might be as good as the kind youd get in the middle east.Good date night restaurant. Great ambiance. Get a bottle of wine and enjoy the great atmosphere.

2022-05-28I used to go to this place years ago and it was literally the best Turkish food in Brooklyn. Went today - Ive never had Hummus that tasted like nothing it was tasteless. The Lamb liver was bland same with stuffed grape leaves, most tasty thing was the shepards salad. If you like barely seasoned food, this is the place for you.

Came in and we were seated promptly 😀 the staff was allll sooo nice and courteous. The food was delicious and large portions for one person. 2022-06-12My birthday June 11th. Went there for my Birthday dinner and it was a disater. The waiter forgot to bring my brothers dinner. We all ate and then his dinner came and he no longer wanted to eat. The waiter then started making fun and saying that its on me!!! Meanwhile they did nothing to bill, charged for dinner and made my birthday horrible.

2022-05-28Great place for Turkish pastry. You can definitely taste delicious Turkish desserts such as baklava and special cakes. I also recommend everyone to stop by for breakfast borek, simit and pocas. If you are a sweat person, definitely must visit this place.
