Taco Island has an exceptional, quality, and delicious food selection offered by a tremendous staff that goes out of their way constantly to make sure customers are happy and satisfied. I get food here all the time and they never disappoint the quesadillas are so good and with the chipotle crème . Highly recommend!

It is one of the Best Taco places around. Their food is Awesome. You have to try their churros they are to die for!. The staff is always super nice. We had the Taco truck do an event at my work & it was a great time.

These are literally the best damn tacos on the island! The company is so professional, they know how to cater a party without it being “catered” food. Every single one of my guest could not stop gushing about how delicious the food was! This is not the first time my family and I used them for a party and definitely not the last!!
Island taco is the most authentic , and best Burris we’ve had! It is not to be missed. Located in the former king Mullen shopping center on 347 my Sinai. The service and hospitality is as excellent as the caramel filled churros ( to die for!!). Don’t wait!! Go now!!
The food was really good and the service was amazing. The staff was so kind and accommodating! I got the steak quesadilla and it was insanely yummy, so moist and crispy and the spice level was perfect. The barbocoa birria tacos were really delicious as well. The churros were the best I ever had! Overall I’ll definitely be coming back to try more delicious food!

I just stopped in today and ordered the crunch tacos with a side of rice and beans and i have to say ....... i am impressed and im so happy this town has just added another gem. From the portion size down to the taste it gets a five stars! The staff were very friendly and i didnt have to wait to long for my order. I highly reccomend it, chef kiss

The Crab Cake taco is amazing! Tastes very refreshing, Ill definitely be coming back all summer for that and their Birria tacos, Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic taco or something fun and refreshing like the crab cake taco!

We hired Taco Island Tex-Mex taco truck for a party for 40 people yesterday, and it was a home run! Beginning with the best customer service from Aman’s quick response and clear presentation of what to expect to the absolutely incredible food, I could not highly recommend this taco truck any higher! They played music, provided Mexican sodas and the most gorgeous selection of tacos, quesadillas, empanadas and churro sundaes! Every single thing was delicious! The people who cooked and served were so friendly. This place is amazing🌮🌮🌮
Taco Island is a refreshing change of pace from Taco Bell and some of the tex-mex restaurants Ive tried. While there is room for improvements, that open space isnt massive!The nachos get watered down from the liquids coming from the meat, lettuce, and non solid sauces. The chips dont hold up very well. It still packed some flavor, so it makes me excited to try other food from here. I also had a chance to try two types of birria tacos, the barbacoa and the carnitas. The carnitas style blows the barbacoa off the charts. That is a must try! And finally the churros. I love churros so I wasnt about to be disappointed. They were tiny but I suppose the low price makes up for it.Speaking of price, it seems to be normal prices mostly. Some of the portions arent congruent with the price point but it wasnt nearly as bad as Ive seen in many places. Also, I have limited experience with the rest of the menu, so my score of a 4 out of 5 could change eventually (since Ill definitely come back).My score on service is more about the speed of which it took to receive the food after placing the order. It was FAST. This isnt a wait staff type of place. You place your order at the register and wait on your number to be called. The employees taking our order seemed upset and it felt like they didnt want to be there. I hope theyre having a better day today. This is my husband’s number one choice for take out. We can do pick up or delivery which is super convenient. We’ve tried a lot of the menu choices and they are all delicious. Our personal favorites are the shrimp chimichanga, carnitas burrito, and beef and cheese empanadas
I must have gone there on a bad day because my tacos and empanadas tasted like they were made from the night before. I was so eager to taste them that i took a bite in the car, this was less than a min from leaving the store and they barely warm YUCK! so disappointed.
I’ve been here a few times and it’s always so good! When I saw Tacos de Birria on the menu I knew that’s what I was ordering!! Social distancing in place, sanitizing station, etc. very clean and comfortable dining room too!
Mom, my wife and I ordered fish tacos and barbacoa taco with chips and guacamole, it was very delicious. We will definitely be back. We highly recommend Taco Island.
$13 for a quesadilla and a water, the quesadilla was extremely sloppy and off putting I couldn’t finish it. Unmasked employee put mask on when I entered and one of the cooks had his on halfway. Just expected way more out of this place judging by the reviews. Won’t be coming here again.

They just came out with new tacos(for limited time only) but they are so delicious, i mean to die for!!! I only tried 2 of the 3 they were coconut battered shrimp and crab fish island tacos and they were amazing, can’t wait to order there again😆😆

First time ordering on a Sunday afternoon. I waited 25 minutes past the ready in 15. The chicken burrito is honestly the most disgusting thing Ive had, its any but authentic, akin to taco bell burrito mush shoved into a giant tortilla. I expected the birria taco to be greasy, so I cant complain on that one. For $15 Id go elsewhere!
The food here is so much better than salsa salsa they give u chips and salsa for free and the price are real reasonable for what your getting the amount of food u can’t finish and I work out and it’s too much but delicious thank you taco Island for your great customer service skills

We absolutely love this place! This love affair started when we had a taste at Target parking lot. The food truck was amazing. I usually have the vegan option and its amazing. My husband a carnivore has tried several items on the menu and to date has not been disappointed. The food is fresh & delicious! The staff is super friendly. The location is a bit far out for us. We have tried other places but nothing has been able to come close to the food here.

The food was AMAZING!! Loved the atmosphere too!! I don’t live close by but I just had to come and try the tacos and let me tell you, it was bomb!!!! The Barria tacos were on point, my kids loved the quesadillas which is great because they are so picky !! The empanada that my husband ordered was unbelievably delicious!! We also got a dessert which was a churro sundae and it was so gooodd!!!! We loved the entire place, great people and great service but of course most importantly, the food was delicious and bomb.com!! A must try !!!!

We had the food truck cater a work event almost two weeks ago and my team is still raving about the food and the service. All of the food was exceptional and we cant say enough about Amans service. If youre ever luck enough to have Taco Island then go for the steak quesadilla - of course you cant go wrong with anything they serve.

I Just went there for Lunch with my family my lilSister just got married and she wanted barrita tacos we tried the carnitas and steak. and the barritas burritos it was delicious we also ordered yuca fries and fish tacos, mexicana corn. We wanted to try a lil bit of everything it was amazing so yummy and to top it off the Carmel churros made our day thank you For the service we will definitely be back!
The food here is INCREDIBLE. I usually like burritos over tacos, but WOW the tacos are incredible thats all I get now! Their Birria tacos are out of this world, and huge fan of the fish tacos. Very consistent quality of food too- regardless of when you go
My husband and I came here for a quick bite to eat and it did not disappoint! This place had one of the best birria tacos we’ve ever had! The staff was super friendly and attentive as well; Leslie helped us pick what to eat! They also gave us cheese nachos & churros which were really good! Marilyn, our server, was incredibly professional, very attentive, and helped make our experience even better. The food was more than enough to feed all of our guests. It was a terrific experience!

I went here with my girlfriend the other day and let me just say, their food is nothing but quality! You can go here any time, day of the week and they will always come through! It is one of many authentic Mexican food spots I’ve ever been to, I would put this on my top 3 places to eat! I first tried this place through a food truck that was at a mutual friends bbq.The food was freaking delicious! My husband I were talking about it for two weeks till we decided to Google the actual restaurant.Its a small quaint little place (fairly clean) in the king kullen parking lot and boy are we glad we did, it was just as delicious as the first time we had it. The service was fast and listen to this.... (They actually put the sauces I asked for in the bag)Love this place and the prices are decent.

Could not for the life of me find birria tacos on long island so used to have to travel to queens and these were 10× better and actually crispy with a very generous portion of meat. Will be going back next week and am bringing my kids and my friend.

Im so impressed by this place. I found it on accident when I needed lunch last minute at work and ordered ahead online. It was ready before I even made it to the restaurant. I ordered a burrito and I had no idea a burrito could be so heavy and full yet still able to be picked up and eaten. Everything tasted SO GOOD and Taco Island officially has a new regular out of me. I cant wait to try everything on the menu. You will not be disappointed.I ordered one burrito for the price of a fast food meal and I have lunch and dinner because it was so huge. I can not find one negative thing to say about this place even if I wanted to.
I came here for the first time last Wednesday and after having the best taco experience I could have imagined, I came back 3 days later with more friends! I honestly wasnt expecting much because I thought that the only good taco places were in the city/Queens area, but I was so pleasantly surprised to find this place so close to me. Food was AMAZING, would definitely recommend the tacos de birria (tried so many other menu options which were needless to say, all delectable on their own) but I was thinking about these tacos days after having them! The staff are all SUPER friendly! So accommodating and they do their best to ensure the best service! I came with a bigger group and wanted to sit outdoors and they prepared seating arrangements for us on the spot, no questions asked. Im so glad I found this place- will be my go-to eating option! Already made plans to go back in two days!!

Sooooo not sure what happened from the last time we ordered from here but its not the same. We ordered wings but they were not wings....seemed more like drumsticks or thighs. Moving on.
We rented the food truck for a HS graduation party for about 120 people. The food was outstanding and the service was over the top. The food came out quickly, was fresh and hot and the staff was courteous and pleasant - and patient with picky teenagers ordering without this and with that. The quality of the food made the adults as happy as the kids. 100% recommend the restaurant AND the food truck.

The food here is so flavorful, and the service is fantastic! I ordered takeout today after a snowstorm, thinking I would be able to get out of my driveway. I was wrong, so I called to ask for it to be switched to delivery. It was delivered to me within 15 minutes of my call. I tried to offer an additional tip since I had switched it to delivery (in the snow!), but the person delivering refused any extra tip. The food was warm and delicious! Highly recommended.

We ordered delivery from here. A friend had recommended them to us, and we figured wed try something new tonight. I ordered the low carb carnitas bowl, and I was in absolute heaven. The carnitas...so packed with flavor and tender. The avocado sauce is amazing as well. The portion size is huge! I cant wait to have the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. My friend ordered a chimichanga with carnitas and a buffalo chicken empanada and absolutely loved both. My wife ordered the barbacoa empanada and the beef and cheese empanada along with the taco de birria. The empanadas were amazing (I was allowed a small bite of each lol). We were too full to eat the taco de birria so we will be trying that a little later. I cant wait to try more of the food here and will definitely be back.

Good guacamole, very fresh. The Taco de birria was really tasty. The burrito de birria carnitas was huge and overstuffed to the point of messy. It was good, but over the top, you couldnt dip it and pouring the juice just made it messier. Ill be back to try other items.
Great food. They will charge you an additional fee that will increase the cost of everything you see on the menu by about 3 dollars. It isnt listed on the menu, and the reason is because the price of food has increased, so they increased their price, and you will only find out when you go to pay. If you order through the website online, you can avoid the fee. Pretty sure thats not legal business practice under false advertising or price gouging, but as I said, the burritos are good.
It is rare to find food that is authentic, addictively good, the best representation of the ethnic cuisine it features, and with outrageously good service and feeling inside. There is energy in this eatery, and the goods are even more delicious. If you are in therapy, you no longer need to be: just go to Taco Island Tex-Mex and order Tacos de Birria. This place is a treasure chest. Totally affordable. Totally satisfying. Massive smiles. Cant wait to go back
Brand new place- just opened 2 weeks ago. I want to try everything on their extensive menu! Since my 1st time I started with a Barbacoa Birria Taco (delicious) and a cheesy potato burrito. Both were amazing but what I really loved is they served fresh crema instead of sour cream! BONUS! Will definitely be coming back. The prices are very reasonable too.
I used the Island Taco taco truck for my daughters first birthday party - it was fiesta themed so the truck was perfect! I cannot say enough great things about our experience. Aman was so easy to work with from day 1 and was extremely kind and professional. He invited us in to the store for a tasting and everything was exceptional! We did the basic package - tacos, empanadas, nachos, etc plus the mocktail package and wow! My guests were blown away! Every single person raved about how delicious the food was and how kind Aman was working the truck. The food was served hot, fast, and I had absolutely 0 clean up to do! The drinks were such a great touch as well. I have already shared their info with multiple people and hope to use them again! Thank you, Aman for an unforgettable and wonderful experience!
Hands down the best tex-Mex place on the island. The food is so fresh and tasty and is great value for money. Have tried the burritos, chalupas and the street corn and all have been absolutely amazing. Also, the staff are all super friendly and will accommodate any special requests. ( I had my burritos made vegetation and they were very helpful). This one is a must visit for anyone who misses and loves good tex-mex food!

This place has one of the best burritos I’ve ever had (West Hampton burrito)! Everything else we got (birria taco, chimichanga, Buffalo Chicken empanada) were all equally as amazing. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good Mexican bite to eat. Definitely coming back here! Also the staff was very friendly.

On 6/6/21 I had Taco Island Tex Mex food truck cater my wife’s 40th birthday party and all I can say is amazing amazing the food was out of this world and the service was top shelf. I highly highly recommend these guys for your next party or event.
New favorite spot! The cheesy potato burrito with chicken gave me life! Part of my order was wrong (my fault i was reading off what someone else wanted and because of the way they worded it it was misinterpreted) and the chefs were super understanding and accommodating and apologized for the misunderstanding even though i was at fault. They don’t fire food off and make mistakes if they have a question they ask the girls at the register to explain the order. They truly are great and I’ll be recommending them to anyone who feels personally attacked that Taco Bell got rid of their cheesy potatoes lol
I loved it from the moment i ordered it. i ordered delivery through their website (i hate third party delivery apps so i was very happy to see they had their own delivery service). i was pumped to see that i could order through the site because i hate talking on the phone. the delivery man arrived within the time frame and called me about two minutes before he arrived and was very kind to me. also, i did not have a delivery fee added to my bill after i exceeded a certain amount, which i was pleasantly surprised about. then came the moment i have been waiting for for months, eating the birria tacos. they became popular on tiktok a few months ago and every time i see one my mouth waters because they look so delicious. i had to have them. my hometown doesn’t have anywhere that sells these specific tacos so you can imagine my reaction to taco island being close to my school WITH delivery. i got 4 of them (2 of each meat) and chips and guac and my total was still under $20. amazing. it arrives. i disassembled the bag and almost fainted at the sight of these tacos. then i dipped the taco in the sauce. then i bit it. i saw god himself. after months of mental preparation for one of these damn tacos, it was everything i wanted and more. i preferred the pork but that’s just because i’m not a huge steak fan in general. the sauce was so delicious and flavorful. the tacos still had a perfect amount of crunch and warmth despite having to endure delivery in a closed box. the amount of cheese was perfect. and then, the meat. so tender. so flavorful. so delicious. i somehow ate all 4 (i usually have a smaller appetite) and now i am writing this, full as a pig on my couch writing this. i will definitely be daydreaming about these tacos and for sure will be ordering again.

Ive been seeking high and low for a place that makes Baria tacos. Not only do they serve Baria tacos, they serve baria quesedillas. Both to die for. I had the steak. My kids had the pork. Watch out people. This place will blow you away! I got the chance to try a few different items my first time and everything was amazing. The potato burrito is to die for. The wings were so crispy and the tacos were on point. The guac was really yummy and very fresh. Finished everything with the stuffed churros and ice cream.
If I could give 10 stars I would! Besides having found taco island a few weekends ago and loving their takeout, my husband and I decided to cater a small birthday dinner. From start to finish, everything was amazing! The food was delicious, the delivery was on time and handled perfectly, and arranging our order was seamless. Aman was beyond helpful and accommodating to our needs and requests. He was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. My husband and I love TexMex food and this is by far one of the best TexMex we’ve had! Highly recommend! Recommend for takeout or catering next event.

After coming to the food truck a few times and having food delivered I am greatly satisfied. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. Probably some of the best tacos I’ve had. BBQ chicken empenada is so good. Cold drinks are available. Pricing is very reasonable. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Just stop on by, call ahead and pick up, or get it delivered.
Probably the best vegan burrito Ive ever had. The flavors and size were much more satisfying than I could have ever imagined. Ill definitely be a regular visitor going forward.
Stopped by the truck today. We ordered the vegetarian street taco, the shrimp street taco and the extreme nachos (made with waffle fries) and everything was delicious! Fresh and tasty ingredients. The guys working were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. I look forward to trying everything! The reason I felt compelled to write this review is that we ordered for lunch today through Uber eats. There were some errors in the order which had to do with communication between Uber and the restaurant. Some items were missing. I called the restaurant to let them know and without hesitation, the person I spoke with said “I’m going to make this right”.The restaurant went out of their way to deliver us the missing items as soon as possible. I truly feel like this was an amazing response considering our house wasn’t exactly close to the restaurant and we originally ordered through Uber.I look forward to returning here many many times!!
Had their menu on my refrigerator for quite a while. Seemed unique and had low carb menu which appealed to me. Unfortunately, the food was sub par.Called around 8:30 pm which was about 30 minutes prior to closing.Simple order placed. 2 Empanadas (beef and cheese/Cheesy Barbacoa), ground beef quesadilla and a carnita/barbacoa low carb bowl.When i arrived the delivery bag was already prepared. There was no mention of sauces. I just assumed the standard were included.First issue. When I got home there were 3 empanadas in the bag, not 2. To make matters worst all three were in one bag. How is one supposed to distinguish between the different ones without having to break each one open. In addition, after examining each one they all looked the same.Another issue the sauces. Chips were included but the only sauces provided was a red spicy blend and a green sauce that tasted like it had avocado. Why would you not include salsa?My wife had the quesadilla which she complained was spicy and had a lot of meat.My low carb bowl had a lot of food. The problem is instead of shredded cheese in the bowl as stated in the menu the cheese was baked and crusted on top. It was impossible to mix the cheese in the bowl. The food itself was unimpressive. It was mushy and didnt have a lot of flavor.Maybe i hit a bad night. I dunno. But i wont be back

Im torn about leaving this here. I have ordered from them many times, but this time was different. My job had ordered several trays from tacos to quesadillas and even the churros. It all tasted wonderfully and fresh! However a couple of hours later, my stomach just wasnt having it. Now its been a couple of days and Im still not feeling too great.

I got a steak burrito bowl and it was the worst one I ever ate. The steak was so dry and flavorless it shredded. I asked for extra chips and the tiny bags held 5 chips in them for an entire bowl. For 13 dollars stick to chipotle

The Cheesy Bean Chimichunga was great. Flakey fresh dough and fresh ingredients. Oversized portion. What more can you ask. Highly recommended place.
The food is good, but when you order online they don’t pay attention to it. This is the 5th time I ordered and when they give you the time it should be ready, I still give it a few more minutes and it’s NEVER ready. I ordered food and I didn’t get it for 45 minutes after the original time they told me to pick it up. So an hour and a half for 4 tacos is not worth it

Best chipotle sauce I have ever had, all anout the flavor with just the right amount of kick. Had it on the Chipotle Chicken quesadilla and had to go back to get more. This food is addictive. 2022-05-09First time trying this place, the food and customer service was AMAZING. The buffalo chicken empanada was one of the best empanadas I have ever tried, it was the perfect amount of cheese and chicken and not over bearing with the sauce. The chicken street tacos were probably the best tacos I’ve ever tried honestly, had so much flavor and the chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. Also their chipotle sauce was a good touch. 10/10 would recommend, defiantly will be going back very soon.

Not the best fish taco as personally I found the wish slightly more oily and the whole taco a tad bit bland than the other good and authentic places o have tried before, nonetheless it was tasty and like able. Will try this joint for the other items as well. A large variety to select from.

The most relaxing party we have ever thrown because of the convenience of the food truck being on site to handle everything! I would recommend them over and over! We are looking for excuses to get them to come again!!

I tried two new tacos( the potatoe taco and crab cake) and both were out of this world! So fresh ALWAYS! 2022-06-05Ive been here a few times before and have always been happy with my experience. Id just like to leave a review to say the owner was wonderful. He came into my job recently and asked us if weve had lunch yet. He then showed up not even a half hour after he left and brought us a spread! Asked for nothing in return, just a nice gentleman who wanted to take care of his community and local businesses. Best believe Ill be back.

They came to a school event I was helping to run and it was so easy to communicate with them. The food was so good that we have people still craving the tacos! I highly recommend them!

Aman is so easy to work with, flexible and very quick in his responses. The food was awesome, every single guest was raving about the huge amount of options.
