Tacos, Community & Beer in other cities:
First visit was great! The atmosphere and character of the people at the bar was inviting. Easy to order menu and the staff helped seat a party of 8 with ease. All the flavors were what they should be. I wish the meats have more texture and less mushy. Must try the kimchi if you like heat!!
Amazing, food, service and atmosphere. I had the ground beef taco and the chorizo taco. Both were so fantastic. I did prefer the chorizo but thats because I love chorizo. You put your own toppings on, a terrific idea. The amount of meat they put in the tacos definitely makes this a win for the stomach and for the wallet. Great price points for them. $3.50 for beef and $4 for the chorizo. They have choice of flour or corn tortillas. I went corn and thats the best way to go. Service was awesome, never had an empty cup.
The food and service were fine, atmosphere feels like an office park. 1 star review is because this restaurant serves all its food in single use paper and plastic products. It’s crazy that the owners/managers are ok polluting the environment because it’s cheaper and easier …than washing dishes? I can’t support an irresponsible place like this and I suggest you don’t either.
Great place, pretty good food, amazing vibes! TCB was so much fun when I went. The staff was super friendly, atmosphere was great, and food and drinks were pretty good! I loved how they had the “make your own” option on the menu as well. Definitely a fun place to hang out too!
Outstanding service and good. Our server was so welcoming and very helpful with the drink and food menu. She was extremely nice and made us feel very much at home. Two of us had Quesadillas and the third of us had the tacos and each of us thought the food was outstanding. We started with nachos and they were perfectly prepared and portioned for us. Great experience and cant wait to go back!
First time here but will definitely be back! First of all, the tacos are delicious-- fresh ingredients and excellent flavors. The waiter we had was very kind and attentive. We were eating outside due to COVID and a big gust of wind blew my husbands Buffalo Chicken taco on the ground-- we didnt ask for a replacement as the wind is an act of God so we didnt think it was on the restaruant to replace. But, the waiter and then the owner ( I think he was the owner-- might not have been) INSISTED on replacing it which was really thoughtful.. This is a gem in Buffalo and I would highly recommend!!
Had dinner there this past week and was disappointed with the food and service provided. Every member of our party had issues with their order. Very disappointed since I had dined their last summer a number of times and was so looking forward to TCB. I am generally a very good tipper for my meal and service. In this case the service was okay, but the food very disappointing.
We frequent this place and its always great. Great tacos chips and drinks. Cool atmosphere and decor. Service is always good. We had some chips with our order and started to eat them. One of the crew came up with another batch and noted our original were from the bottom of the pile and brought hot fresh ones! Great gesture!
I like this place. Its got daily lunch specials and decent food. The tacos are not great, Ill be honest but they are pretty good. That, along with the great service and ambiance gets this spot a solid 4 stars. You will not be floored by the food but I guarantee youll go back!
Hands down the best taco place in the north towns if not all of WNY.Staff is always friendly and welcoming. The tacos would easily compete with anything Ive had in Mexico or LA which is really saying something.Theyve always got a good beer selection and you cant go wrong with the queso either.Make it a point to stop in here, you can thank me later ;)
Creative specialty tacos. I tried the Korean, Honey Garlic Shrimp, and Rib Eye Caprese. All were enjoyed. Chips are nice and fresh, Guacamole was good, salsa was Smokey. Looking forward to them getting their liquor license so we can go back and have some drinks too. The place looks great and I love the colors and bar.
So wanted this to be my goto taco joint. I liked the bar and the staff were all very friendly but I think there are better places for tacos.Need to work on the flavors with the tacos. We tried all of them and our entire party felt that the tacos were lacking flavor.I’m not saying don’t go... check it out for sure...just lower your expectations on the tacos.
My new favorite taco place. Im not even that much of a taco person. Dont think Ill need to go anywhere else form now on. Everything tasted amazing. Delicious margaritas. I think my only note would be that their salsas were a little on the bland side (though very fresh), but it did not diminish my experience one bit. Service and attitude were also excellent.
I was really hoping for more from this place thats right around the corner from me but so far Ive been underwhelmed. Ive visited on two occasions and have tried the Pollo, Carnitas, and Barbacoa. When I was there yesterday I wanted the Asada but was told they were out of steak. Seemed a bit odd to have a staple missing at 12:30 but hopefully it was just an ordering mistake. The flavor of the tacos is just ok. My biggest complaint is the quality of the shells. By the time you get your tray back to the table the bottom of the shells is all soggy. When I bit into my pollo the juice shot all over my hands and tray. Hopefully they can find a different shell that will hold up more than two minutes. It could also be the metal serving tray they use that is causing the shells to get soggy. The best one so far has been the Carnitas but I think thats more about the sauce added. They do have a wide variety of topping selections, more than some other similar restaurants, which is great to see.The biggest disappointment is the salsa. On Tuesdays they have a special of free chips and salsa with two tacos. The first time I chose the medium salsa and it appeared to be fruit based. It was very sweet and hardly any spice at all. Yesterday I had the mild which was terrible. It was extremely watery and had no flavor at all. I told a coworker it tasted like cucumber water. The space itself is beautiful and the bar has a great selection of beers so Im really hoping with a few tweaks they can really improve. Because its so close I would be there every few days!
Queso with Chorizo...needed more spice, it was a smooth, not runny chip dipping sauce, and had potential. These East Amherst folks need to have some more spice in their life..a tad bit spicy, hotter dip would have killed it.I appreciate the fresh toppings bar...that was a nice touch..Korean taco was pretty good as Ill eat anything with kimchi.I also appreciate the homemade tortillas. Corn and flour..as it adds something to the meal.My table said the traditional ground beef taco was on the salty side... I didnt get one... so I wouldnt know...but I like salt 😅😅😅Might go again on taco Tuesday...since reuglar days they are charging 5 to 6+ dollars each for a smallish specialty taco... but not as small as a Deep South Taco....those at Deep South ones are disappointing on so many levels.Tacos are the quintessential cheap food, and you gotta bring it with the flavor...if you wanna go smaller than a burrito, and being too close to a burrito price. So on Tuesday they run taco specials...so Ill try again Tuesday, and report back 😎🌮
The food was fantastic! The owners were working behind the bar and asked if we needed anything a few times. We anticipated extra charges for sour cream and guacamole, even Moes does that. We will definitely be going back again. Great place to relax and hang out with amazing food!
Wow. WOW. Talk about living up to the namesake. Tacos, Community & Beer is serving up tasty Tacos, friendly service (Whaddup Eric!), and some good brews to boot. Sitting at the bar gives you a good view of all the illuminated cans behind the counter and puts you face to face with the brains behind the operation: Your bartender and server. I had the Panza de Cerdo and Korean tacos and I was extremely satisfied with both, especially with the addition of some medium salsa, cilantro, and pickled onions from the free toppings bar where you can customise your taco to your hearts content. Overall, good community, great food, awesome beer- Id recommend this place to anyone looking for some tasty tacos and bang for thier buck.
Stopped in for a quick bite and beer while out, wife had honey garlic shrimp taco, I had the chef special of crab cake taco. Crab cake could of been a tad bigger, had more shell, otherwise great flavor. I also opted for the Asada taco with Cojito cheese. After topping with a bruchetta mix, lettuce and a drizzle of lime, it was freaking awesome. Wife and I both had the Blue toad black cherry cider, dad dry, but good flavor. Will definitely be back.
Stopped in with 2 friends after a spin class at the studio I work at.I dont usually write reviews, but I feel like TCB went above & beyond with customer service given my situation. Small negative -- when we walked in, we were not greeted and it was dead. We had to ask if we seated ourselves, we werent aware you order at the cash register, etc. Upon ordering I mentioned no cilantro on any of my food (which unfortunately just about everything there has cilantro). 1 of my tacos came out with cilantro on it and they were very quick to rectify the situation by making me a new taco. They let us keep the first taco, and also loaded us up with free chips and queso. Other than the cilantro being in everything there issue, I would recommend TCB as a place to add to your taco mix up. Will be even better once the liquor license comes in.
I came here to try the food and it rivaled tacos Ive had in Texas, but Ill be coming back for the community part. The staff is very friendly, funny, and you just feel happy to be in the atmosphere with them. Drinks are affordable and theres always deals going on. They have an incredible selection of tequila, too.. I cant recommend this place enough. Its great for solo diners, small groups, and its perfect for a date night. It became my favorite overnight.
If you live in the Buffalo area or are in town and are looking for the best tacos you can find, look no further, TCB is awesome! Tacos, Community & Beer, is exactly what this great new place sums up! Lets get back to the tacos though; they are 100% authentic and the shells are out of this world! They double them up on every taco as well. I am definitely impressed. For amazing tacos, all types of great beer, and a cool place to hang out, TCB is a must!
Its ironic...on the TCB website, it says When you find true love, hold on to it with both hands because sometimes tacos can be hard to handle. However, at TCB, you wont need more than two finges to hold thier tacos because they are absolutely the smallest, skinniest, teeny-tiniest little tacos in the world. If you really want truly authentic Mexican tacos, get in your car and drive five minutes south on Transit road to La Divina. You get the same tacos for a third of the price.

2022-06-13Weve visited TCB many times now and I literally can never get a picture because Im way too excited once I see the food and just devour it lolThey have a great variety of tacos from the basics like pollo, carnitas, and barbacoa to gourmet options like honey garlic shrimp, falafel, and blackened fish! They also offer rice bowls and some really good desserts! Their drinks are top tier, I swear their old fashioned is one of the best around, but every other drink weve had has been amazing too!The people are always so nice!! Our last visit the place was packed, honestly I wouldnt have expected anyone to even see us lingering in the crowd by the door but someone came from behind the bar to offer us seats to wait, let us know how long it would be, updated us several times, and made sure we were able to order drinks and appetizers while we waited! Just above and beyond service really! There is a decent sized parking lot and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating! The interior is long and narrow but set up really well, if youre hesitant about being too close with others Id just recommend visiting during less busy times! Theyre really great about getting you to a table asap though!

2022-06-15Tacos were very good, you customize everything that goes on it. Only downside is it adds up quick, can get quite expensive for a small taco (comparitively). Our server was a great guy.

2019-07-20Everything in life has a alternate version of the original. For instance, Wegmans to Tops supermarket. Target to Walmart, Kelloggs Honey smacks to Malt-O-meal golden puffs, and now we have Lolyds taco to Taco community & beer. Everything about Lolyds, is what TC&B wants to become. The atmosphere is fun and energetic, the bar is lively and functions very good. Especially, on busy nights such as this one. I like the taco fillings, they give you plenty in each taco. You even have the option to put extra toppings on, when you go over to the self service counter. I will say though, I am not a fan of the taco shell. I wish it had a crispy to crunchy touch to it. But these shells was soft and more like enchiladas texture than taco. Other than that, I would be hard pressed to spend $4-$6 for a taco and I dont care for the shell.
