tam mediterranean kitchen in other cities:
The falafel was delicious, the pita was dry and old.And on top of it, they had a advertising shoot while the business was open for businesses, and the models did not wear a mask. This shoot should have been done after working hours or just close the place on that day.
I visited this store sometime last week before returning to Germany, I have never been before & the young lady with dreads behind counter helped me along. I really appreciate it because my English is not the best when speaking & she explained everything for me and packaged my stuff so I could eat later on plane. Would come back
Takes forever. I ordered online and still had to stand in line for 10 minutes to pick up my food. When I asked the cashier why she didnt put the bags in the designated pickup area she just shrugged and said I cant reach the shelf. You might want to hire more people or work on your operations.
“If there is a God, then why do bad things happen to good people?”I struggle to make sense of days without Taim. Am I a bad person? Or is this world just a cold place? But then a ray of sunshine breaks through the dreary clouds and delivers warmth as it lands upon my soul. I get to eat Taim. And then it all makes sense: those days without Taim, though seeming mean and unfair, a cruel circumstance dished out by an unloving God or a soulless universe, served a much greater purpose, indeed. For without a falafel-less day, how does one appreciate the profound blessing in a day marked by Taims Mediterranean excellence? Only in the absence of one’s lover does one discover the joy of longing - and the joy of reuniting.Thank you, Taim, for helping me in my quest for spiritual insight and supreme falafel bliss.
Really good falafel but the customer service is horrible lolThey are always getting stuff wrong and dont answer the phone (nor acknowledge you when you walk in)I love this place but the current staff is losing meUpdate: it gets worse every single time I go. The number of side falafel has been incorrect, the tahini isnt in the bag, the customer service is absolutely nonexistent. I think they need to refresh the staff or something. Im gonna have to find a new place.
I love Taim and their fries, but and they fumbled a bit on my last order.Update: Taim saw this review and reached out to me. We corresponded for a bit, and it turns out they are very nice people who really care about their food. It was refreshing to see how they went above and beyond to correct that small mistake.
Ordered a pick in my phone via Google (Ritual). When I came to the place, store was closed and no one is picking up the phone either.Store should make sure that their timings reflected correctly on google!!Update: I had to download Ritual app and create an account, but was thankfully able to get the refund at least.
I love the idea of this place but the execution is poor. Hopefully theyll get it together, but on to the details. 1. Its overpriced for what it is, which is chick peas and vegetables. My plate with one add on and a lemonade was over $20. Not even Mamouns, which blows it away, is more expensive.2 . Except for the falafel, the food was bland. The tabbouleh, tomatos and cucumbers werent that fresh or tasty. Everything was under-seasoned and there was a bitter taste to it. I think the parsley was a too strong variety, or just past its prime.3. Weak service. It inexplicably took a long time to order despite there being 2 employees standing right in front of me and no line. The food too a long time to come despite it being all pre-made vegetarian items. They left 2 things off my order - hot sauce which I paid extra for, and bread. On the bright side one of the employees was a nice guy who have me both versions of their falafel to try on the house, and the falafel is excellent. Still, theyre going to have to do better on every other front to get my dime again. And it will have to be more reasonably priced once I get out of downtown Manhattan...
Good food but HORRIBLE service at this location. I would give more stars for the food which is quite good but the service is just SO BAD. Your staff should go train for a day at your west village location to learn what “working” is.The staff couldn’t care less about serving their customers. I ordered two platters, two drinks, fries with sauces - came to $40+. They come deliver my order with one platter and fries. I remind them of the second platter and 10 mins later I still don’t have second platter or drinks. There is one other person waiting for a meal. Get it together!!! That is the second time I’ve been here recently where they take FOREVER even when there are only a couple patrons. Also, $4 to get some ketchup is absurd. You should be embarrassed to charge people that much for the equivalent of two packets of ketchup.
I mean, its ok. The other times Ive been here the falafel was good along with the sides. I ventured out and got the Schwarma cauliflower this time and could not eat it because it was WAY TOO salty. I dont usually complain, but if it was not salty, it wouldve been perfect. Everything else was good though. Maybe less seasoning next time? Unfortunately the schwarma cauliflower wasnt edible. :( I do love everything else though.
For weeks, I have been craving Taim and try out a new Falafel place! As someone who is middle eastern, it’s interesting to taste and experience it in the west and compare it’s quality to the east.Tonight, I ordered for a film party of 4, to an office a few doors down. The delivery showed up over an hour late, barely enough food for 2 people, and was super cold! Without any calls or prior notice for being late, and having poor food/customer service.وداعا!
Good fastfood place but a little too flashy and franchised. Most items are beyond the price I would pay but the appetizer are a good portion for half the price as the main. Otherwise friendly service and good seating. Understandably this place is doing goood in NY and located in trendier neighborhoods.
I came here after passing by in the morning noticing there was a restaurant that I didnt know about. After arriving I waited for my food for around 30 minutes. It seemed unusual that they were as busy as they were as they had two different employees come over to me to apologize about the timing. They even gave me multiple free coupons for a meal without me complaining.
Got food poisoning here earlier this year. Then today two coworkers also got food poisoning, which means this has been a problem all year. I can only imagine how many people have gotten sick in that time. They are clearly not storing and handling their food properly. Do not go here! Hit up Nish Nush or Pita Press instead.
I came in to Taim Restaurant for lunch today and when I got back to my office, I realized that one of my orders was incorrect. I called the restaurant and spoke with the nicest Supervisor ever Mr. Aaron Arce and I really cant speak high enough of this gentleman. He apologized and offered to walk the correct order to my job, since my lunch hour had ended. He made up for the inconvenience in so many thoughtful ways with the courtesy and respect that is needed in the world and service industry. Customer service was 120%. My coworkers and I were so impressed we already love the food and for Aaron Arce service we will definitely come back again and again. Thank you so much Aaron Arce. Youre the best and you are much appreciated. He is a true leader.
This is the worst Taim I’ve ever been too. Customer service is APPALLING. The employees were just socializing the entire time and spent way too much time making the food (at least in comparison to other Taim locations). I felt very awkward. Once I finally received the food, it tasted good. Would recommend this location if you’re desperate and don’t care about poor customer service.
4.7🥝Falafel is so delicious! With the addition of red balls and green balls, many of the vegetables are very fresh. The crispy taste of red cabbage is especially liked. The hummus is well blended in. The taste is not too strong and the leader is overwhelmed.Hot sauce is very spicy to very fresh green pepper ~

2022-04-01I don’t often take the time to write reviews but this place truly deserves it. Every time I go the staff is warm, efficient and just in a great mood. I noticed the manager is amazing too. Wish there were more places like it in NYC, that inspired and trust their people to do good as wells as let them have fun while doing It. Needless to say the food is GREAT too :)

2022-04-10This place was really good and pretty cheap for Lower Manhattan. The pita was pretty good and they were generous with the falafels. The only thing I did not like was the saffron aoli, which my girlfriend said tasted like paint. Just go with the ketchup.

2021-03-28Everything is so delicious while healthy tasting. (Well maybe not the fries which were yum too). Weve tried the eggplant bowl, impossible kebabs bowl and platter, falafel platter, cauliflower side, carrot side and fries. The food is so good that weve had it three times since moving to this neighborhood a few weeks ago. Highly recommend.

2022-04-04I had ordered delivery and was surprised to receive it in 35 minutes in mid Manhattan. Chicken shawarma with extra meat came hot and a bit spicy as expected. Liked the falafels but were overcooked and harder.

2018-10-22The place is pretty good and clean. It is Mediterranean or middle eastern style food and it was good. I enjoyed my meal. Now, the place does not take cash only debit cards or credit cards. It is pretty small but good for a vegan meal during lunchtime. I did not have to wait long for my meal. The price was ok. The meal in the picture below was $12.50 (tax not included). I will go back again if I forgot to bring my lunch to work again.
