I hired tappan zee contracting to do my master bath renovation. They came recommended from a close friend and I have to say I couldn’t have been more pleased. The quality of the work , prompt responses to text and calls ,amazing ingenuity and craftsmanship were truly extraordinary. They are dedicated , hard working and take tremendous pride in their work. The finished product was beautiful and we are very happy. Responsiveness to calls and text is very, very quick and they’re main focus is making their clients happy. I was so pleased I am hiring them again for some other jobs in our house.
Tappan Z HI did a 1/2 bathroom gut renovation at my house. Demo, drywall, tile, and fixtures. They were responsive and worked with me even as I changed my mind about some items. They were fairly priced, showed up on time, and Im happy with the quality of the work. I would use the again for another project. They paid attention to the details such as rerouting vent exhaust and making a custom door saddle for the connection to an unlevel old hallway.
Tappan Z was very well recommended by a friend and they really went above my expectations.They first came to view and discuss details of the job giving me good suggestions that I’ve considered all changing for the better my small project.On the date of the job, they came on time and brought all necessary equipment. As soon as they arrived they started working and finished before the time estimated. They are real professionals, detail oriented, fast, and very honest. I will hire them again to a bigger job (small bathroom renovation and painting the full apartment).Thank you Tappan Z for the service well done!I strongly recommend them.
Tappan Zee just completed our deck repair and repainting. Despite numerous weather delays they finished the job in a timely manner, even working on a weekend to make up for lost time. Their communication was excellent, they were extremely punctual and they tidied up the work site each night. There were also no hidden fees; the quote we were given was the price we paid. We were very happy with their work, and will definitely use them again.
I used Tappan Z Home Improvements to renovate my bathroom and I am very pleasedwith this company and with the way my renovation turned out. I cannot say enough good things about Tappan Z. I have used them for over 10 years. They are reliable, responsible and offer the highest quality work. Every job is done to perfection and they leave the place spotless. I have used Tappan Z for all Jobs from plumbing to painting to building an addition to my house. In this day and age when good work is hard to come by and finding contractors who care is impossible, there is no question that Tappan Z is the best!
I cannot say enough good things about Jose and his son Theo. He does beautiful work. He gives a reasonable time frame and he is very honest. He works with extreme attention to detail. His work is that of a perfectionist. We just had him in for another quote and we are excited to have them start working. I could not recommend them enough.

I called Jose to replace my toilet. I purchased the replacement from HD. Jose and Theo arrived on time and got to work. They were prepared with all the things needed to complete the job and was done in little over an hour. In that time, they performed an amazing and clean job. They moved the old toilet outside for me and Jose went the extra mile to patch a hole that was located on the wall behind the toilet. So far I have used them three times and each time I am completely satisfied with the results.

2022-05-21Loved working with TappanZ and will use them again for other projects in my home. They were fairly priced, kept the construction area clean, and did a really great job. I’m very pleased with the final product. My door arrived from the vendor scratched up (I had ordered directly) and they went out of their way to contact the vendor to make it right. They were very easy to communicate with and the crew were super nice and respectful. Recommend 100%.

2022-03-28Finding a good contractor is rare these days. Theo and his crew are among the best at what they do. Fair pricing and excellent work transformed my old Brady bunch bathroom into a modern masterpiece of marble. I could say that I highly recommend them but that would be an understatement.

2021-03-12Theo & Jose are the absolute best of the best! Along with their team, they renovated my kitchen and did an amazing job! This was my first renovation and I really didnt know what the process was or how it all worked. From beginning to end, they answered all my questions and walked me through each step. They even made some suggestions that never crossed my mind which ended up making my kitchen look that much better. By the end, they left everything looking flawless. Overall, they are extremely professional, knowledgeable and reliable. An absolute pleasure to work with! I highly recommend them!

2021-07-19Tappan Zee did extensive repairs to an old deck. The work was beautifully done. It looks better than ever and has better support. They were very responsive and easy to work with. They also alerted me to an electrical problem they discovered under the deck which needed immediate repair. I would highly recommend them and will certainly use them again for future projects.

Very professional in the initial consult gathering the list of the many projects we needed done, gave a reasonable and competitive estimate, kept us updated on start day, showed up each day at 8am sharp to begin work and worked all day with minimal break time. The team is pleasant and respectful of one’s home. They get the job done well even taking it upon themselves to color match paint outside. We’re very happy we found this team.

2021-04-22I cant say enough good about Tappan Z Home Improvement...so grateful I found this company. Jose and Theo and everyone w/Tappan Z was always respectful, polite, reliable and trustworthy. They showed up on time, worked hard all day and cleaned up at the end of every day. I left my house on more than one occasion with no reservations at all. At planning stage, Jose offered suggestions for the bathroom reno that never even crossed my mind but definitely enhanced the end result. That bathroom reno is now complete and some days, for no reason at all, I turn on those new bathroom lights, stand in the doorway and just stare at everything. I am so pleased and even more amazed; they take enormous pride in their work. We discussed plans prior to demo and reaffirmed along the way as well, which lends to greater confidence and less anxiety. Prices are competitive and fair and the quality of their work is excellent. Integrity, transparency & honesty displayed by everyone at Tappan Z definitely made this a most pleasant business experience. We have discussed other projects on my to-do list and Tappan Z is home improvement company for life!
