Target in other cities:
Its really a shame when a business spends money to upgrade their building but forgets about customer service or availability of products. I use to work at this particular Target about 15 years ago and from my experience today I see standards are at an all time low and customer service is almost non existent. I went to find a car seat for my granddaughter and only found empty shelves and workers with LRTs that really didnt want to be bothered with locating product or assistance with finding it in store or any place else. They had plenty of floor models but no product and no idea when any of the carseats would be coming in and if they knew they didnt bother offering that information. Being a former employee , actually team lead I questioned why there were no gray dots on the planogram labels which would tell me that out of stock product was scanned and ordered from the offsite. I was informed that system of using the gray dots was no longer used and from the looks of the empty shelves it appears that no system is used to ensure product anyway. Word of advice all that glitters is not gold and just because something looks good doesnt mean it is good. I.E upgrading the appearance of the store. I will never shop here again!
Once great store is going down tubes in my opinion. Waited on the cashier line one of few opened. Cashiers after personally scanning each item asked me if I wanted a bag. Yes I do thank you very much o replied. Then he pushes it to me and just looks at me. SMH. Five items too much for him to place in bag?. Seen another team member bag for another custome. I guess laziness continue. Could see if large order but it’s getting ridiculous.
Really bad experience with customer service. I was trying to buy a toddler fence and use a 10$ coupon that was online. I called ahead of time to make sure that the coupon could be honored in store. As I attempted to explain this to a customer service person (Gail), another customer service agent immediately interjected and said that that service is only offered for items over $40 (the fence was 70+). As Im trying to explain this again (because I was interrupted) to this new customer service agent (Sandy), I was met with exasperation as she claimed that she could not understand my English. Mind you, Ive been in the US for 20+ years and work in the retail industry myself - my English is pretty comprehensive. She then proceeded to yell at me in front of everybody in line and hesitated to ring me up - having me think that she was considering having me rewait on line after not having been helpful at all. The experience was fairly humiliating and over 10$.I will say that I ended being rung up by the manager and he was super nice. Heard me out, clearly understood what I was saying and gave me a 10$ coupon. However my experience with multiple of these employees was so bad and the way these individuals yelled and demeaned me, will prevent me at shopping at this particular location again. I would not recommend coming here, save yourself the trip, money and time.
This is the closest target to me so I go here all the time. Its a great place that is well stocked and well kept with great employees but there is one cashier who is just rude and has a nasty attitude. I work retail but she is way to rude. She is even rude to her coworkers. If it wasnt for it would of been a way better visit.
I just love Target. It is a very clean store, the lighting, the colors, how the stores are designed overall make me feel good. I find everything from clothing to food. It is a one-stop-shop. Especially during a pandemic, I understood the importance of this structure even more. Also, for every shopping category, I can find high-quality products for decent prices. The service is also very good. There is always someone around to help whenever you need help. And you see that people who work there are willing to help. It is a socially responsible business that gives to charities. Also, it decided to increase the wage during the pandemic to help its associates. It has Starbucks inside its stores. Being able to drink my Starbucks and walk around was one of my favorite pastimes before the pandemic. Finally, its loyalty program is very good. Since I shop for everything at Target, I save a lot, I get a lot of money back.
Definitely better than the East Islip location (which is a real dump by comparison.) Unfortunately, even this location is often out of stock on items I buy regularly, which is frustrating. They also randomly discontinue name-brand items, which is also irritating. The store is clean, generally well-organized, but the food aisles are too narrow since they did their big remodel a couple of years ago. Also, the layout of certain things makes little sense. Tissues are tucked in an end aisle behind all the drug store products, far away from toilet paper and paper towels. Just seems weird.Personally, I think their seasonal areas are a huge waste of space, as is their makeup department. It seems like someone in corporate decided they should try to compete with Sephora, and its really silly.
Angie from checkout was amazing! She was courteous towards me when I was stuck on an item. She answered all my questions and she is so passionate about her job and caring about me as a customer even as took a couple of items off. I am impressed that she is so professional for someone so young.
I just left the store. I parked in the pick up spot. Mind you i have two young infants. TWINS. An associate was outside and saw that, asked me if I was Michelle and if i am picking up, i stated no. I have two infants without a stroller, therefore i parked in a pick up spot that was available. She looked at me in disgust, ignored my kids, told, because I came back with a sign on my windshield. Inconsiderate and insensitive individuals working there
I think its time to open the fitting rooms..other stores have them open. Had a hard time finding a few clothing items, they were put in random sections. Dont know why?UPDATE:Sometimes they honor the social distance policy..and.sometimes they dont.At the register it was a massive free for all .
Never more than a couple checkout lines open. If you want us to work as your cashiers there needs to be a discount for self checkout2021 update: Not enough checkout, hard to find hand baskets to shop with, and now the paper bags have super thin handles that break if you fill them more than 1/4 of the way.
Overall I like shopping at this location. Its convenient to where I live and only takes one bus to get there. The prices are reasonable compared to other places near me. My only gripe is the fact that the fitting room in the Mens department is being used to store hangers. A sign on the door says its closed and suggests using the other fitting room which is in the womens department. It has been like this since the store was renovated and wish it would change.
Time to boycott Target for their mask policies! It’s unconstitutional especially when employees walk around maskless. Target violated the 14th amendment and should be left empty without any customers to provide business. Time for Long Islanders to stand-up and shop at a patriotic location. This isn’t the Soviet Union. Wake uptarget and reverse Your useless policies!
The store itself is nice and clean and usually have what I need, but this new drive up pickup is horrible. Waited 40 mins and it said still processing. I only got 1 item. 3 people cake up to me asking for my info and said it can take more then an hour! So I got my item in the store and paid for it there. This is very unorganized never again!
Very bad. I approached a worker speaking to her in Spanish since she speaks Spanish. I asked her about this product to which she quickly replied: we dont sell Hispanic things, you must go to a Hispanic place to buy. she replied without even seeing what I was showing her. And she still asked me if I knew what the product was called in English. she seemed uncomfortable to me.
I needed some help with tech purchase and was able to find an associate immediately. Keenan was not only extremely helpful, but he was also very nice and answered all of my questions I was able to make my purchase and complete my task by myself when I got home. As an older person he was kind and didn’t make me feel like a big dummy I was very happy with the service.
If you attempt to shop online or do curbside pick up you are told there isnt enough stock available, yet if you go to the store there is plenty of the items we needed. I usually self checkout , but that was prevented today. Cashier somehow manged to over charge & there was no one in customer service to fix problems
Its a shame that when visiting this Target, the security feels the need to humiliate and belittle their guest. When purchasing items, I had went to exit the door with my Grandmother when the security had let a person who was not a POC exit freely, and stopped me and my grandmother in our track to view our receipt, taking it from my hand..When I asked, why he checked mine and not the other woman who was not of color; he mumbled something about him recognizing the woman or something. Ive worked at Target before, last time I checked you do not pick and choose whos receipt to check; you are trained to treat all guests the same. Also, I had the receipt in hand ready to show with no problem assuming that he would check EVERYONES and not just African-Americans or those he did not know. I feel violated and upset.
Im 34 weeks pregnant with a high risk pregnancy. I was trying to return items from my registry and was given so many run arounds by staff. The staff was completely rude and nasty. They kept making fun of me laughing at me because I asked questions of how come no one knows where anything is in the store or what the policies where in the store. The manager was no help as well. She rolled her eyes at me when I asked why I couldnt return an item all because it had a sticker on it from anotjwr item it was in the bag with. The UPC code matches and it was on the shelves. The store is disgustingly disorganized and hot. I was looking for another item and was lied and told they dont sell it meanwhile I had it up on targets website as Im talking to the staff. I was sent around the whole store looking for this item as well. The store needs to shut down until they can reorganize it and they need to train there staff better as well. They shouldnt roll there eyes and laugh at a customer because they stutter when they speak.
I bought a laser printer online with store pick up, the item was obviously open and re taped. I told the assistant who scanned it in, told me to go to electronics and ask if they had another in stock. The teenage assistant said it was the last one, did not offer any other recourse and went back to helping some a woman he was trying to pick up. The standard practice is 20% off open box items at best buy. Also complained how this store had no formal online store pick up line, since you had to wait on the customer service line, which is basically all customers waiting to return items.
I normally would not complain about my negative experiences in a store but at this point Ive had too many in this particular Target. I just made a purchase and the cashier that helped me was having a conversation with a coworker ( about food and his mother ) as I walked up. He continued to talk to her. He did not speak to me or make eye contact at all. He handed me my receipt, I said thank you and have a nice day his response was sorry I was having an intense conversation Some of employees need to be retrained in customer service!!! On another note your Starbucks employees could use some help in customer service also!
Horrible service at Starbucks in bayshore target went on 3/23 about 11ish and service was horrible. The girl didn’t know anything when asked about the drinks and the guy making them made them wrong..then gave me attitude Bcus he had to them Again...FYI do them right the first time.
(I’m reviewing this particular target not all of them at once).Usually when I visit this target, I don’t bother the staff too often because I usually just go and get what I need, but when I do have questions the staff is very calm and more nice than not. I’ve once dropped a bottle of Gatorade and the staff said it was totally cool and they cleaned it up and said it was fine. It’s not like they screamed at me and told me that I just made their day harder, because honestly I probably did.The items here can be pricy at times, but grocery shopping isn’t as high priced. The food court is sort of on the pricy side, and so are the toys. They toys are very pricy. The technology isn’t outdated there, they offer almost every new phone an every new game (the games night be a bit late so go to GameStop or best buy if you want midnight releases, NOT TARGET, I REPEAT, NOT TARGET)The bathrooms aren’t so great, and often awkwardly quiet when two people are alone in there, and very dirty. Yet, It doesn’t bother me because it’s a bathroom and that’s what bathrooms are like. Could be somewhat more clean, I suppose.Overall, this Target is good. Some people will say it’s horrible due to one staff member they have met, and some will judge on the bathrooms. To me, it’s everything overall, and I give this Target a 4/5! Enjoy!
Never have milk, always out of items, and the staff is very unhelpful. There are so many times where it says they have a product on the app and i show them. Their response is always “oh it takes the app 24 hours to update” meanwhile i can order it for pick up and it be ready in less than an hour...... very unhappy about this location. I used to talk very highly about target but their service has gone way done
I had the best experience last night when I was looking for a Christmas tree for our son. We bought one on black Friday but was missing the tree stand, they do not sell the stand by itself so I was told I had to exchange the tree the only problem there was none at the location I was at. They had information the closes target had 5 in stock so I went running to get it but when we got there they were out of stock. The lady at customer service really kind called the Bay shore location since the system said they had 4. They told her there was only one and they were going to hold it for me.When I got to BayShore Target the tree was no where to be found. The manager took it upon her self to put all available staff member to look in every corner of the store and rooms until the tree was found. My son expressed to her he had ornaments to put on his tree but he couldnt because it would not stand. I guess it touched all their hearts. After 35 min of intense search they found it, the girl that had taken the message was on break and when she heard what was going on cut her break short and came to get it for us and they made a very Merry Christmas for my son.I cant be more appreciative knowing how hecktic this time of the year is for all staff members trying to make all customers happy. So to all of the staff that was on the floor last night a big THANK YOU, you guys are awesome!!!
There are certain items at great prices and I would recommend Target for those particular items (i.e., Cereal, Lean Cuisine, cookies/crackers, granola bars, cat food, candy, etc. Also, there is a large variety of items at Target and it can be a one stop shopping experience. However, I do not like the new set up of the store. It is also very narrow and difficult to pass other shoppers. It is also very difficult to find stuff now that it is all rearranged.
This is the absolute worst Target Store that I have ever been in. I bought an air Mattress this past Saturday, and specifically asked the cashier if it was returnable, to which he replied “yes, within 90 days”. When we tried to use it, the switch wasn’t working correctly so I decided to return it. When we went back to the store yesterday, they informed me that there are no returns on air beds and that there was a sign posted in the aisle. I asked the Assistant Manager Paul to show where there was such a sign. When we got to the aisle, not only was there no sign, but he told me that in order to be able to return it, I’d have to call customer service so they can provide an override code (there is no such thing, or process). Then Paul proceeded to leave me and put a new sign in the aisle to protect their butts. Then another “Manager” Chrystal came over and told me that there are signs posted by the returns area.( in tiny print somewhere no one would see, and also referred me to the back of my receipt, where the website return policy was located. I asked how would anyone know that, and she replied most do. Well then I must be an anomaly then because I wouldn’t have known that. She then said that they’d do an exchange, but without signage, why should it be my fault and get stuck with an exchange? Then another manager came over named Christine who was not only rude, but a liar. She stated to me that they do not return airbeds due to bed bug concerns, but then said they’d take it back in an exchange. I asked, what’s the difference between bed bugs in an exchange, or return? To which she replied “ this is going to be thrown right out in the garbage. What’s the difference?? Then she asked “how much was the bed”? ( by the way, the receipt was on the counter) to which I told her $119.99. She then said “ ohhhh, if it was less than that I could have returned it”. Are you kidding me? What an absolute joke this so called management team is! Then when I walked out, I called customer service again, who called the store. Christine told them that she reviewed the tape from when I can in and magically there was a sign there the day I bought it. That is an outright lie, and I would love to be able to see that footage that would be able to get a specific item in an aisle like that. The moral is that there are plenty of targets out there, but DO NOT GO TO THIS ONE. The management staff are all inept, liars, and completely useless. They could have made a simple concession due to the fact that there wasn’t even a sign there yesterday, and all would be fine. But to fight with me over such a silly thing is just ridiculous. So PAUL, CHRYSTAL, and CHRISTINE, you should all be ashamed of your actions. I will make sure your corporate office reviews that tape as well.
This review is for A SPECIFIC FOOD PRODUCT sold at Target. I purchased the ARCHER FARMS boston cream donuts and can not find any other place or site to review them. They were soggy and absolutely wet on the entire bottom of each donut. So disgusting I took one bite and threw mine in the garbage. My daughter tried one at the same time and did the same thing. These are HORRIBLE and a 1 star is GENEROUS. DO NOT BUY THEM!!
Great place to find what youre looking for at a great price. However, youre lucky if there are three cashiers open at any given time. Today, there was one. Thats right, ONE. Two opened after I complained to a cashier who was recently closed. It would make more sense to me to have at least two open when the number of shoppers has gone down due to kids being back to school, but only ONE? Cmon, really?I think management needs to get a better handle on this.
Youre not going to find the cheapest items here compared to similar big box stores, but I prefer to come here due to the fact the shopping experience is more pleasurable. The store is more spacious & less crowded so you dont have to feel like youre in a rush to get out. The only downside is, out of the 23 lanes available, only 4 or 5 are open.
The price tiles on shelf never correspond to product. Or old sales are left up and never honored. Never can find a worker to verify the prices. Have to use price checkers on every item in my cart. This isnt just one time but every time I go into target of bayshore. Theres also never enough cashiers no matter the time of day and they wait too long to call for back up.
This particular location is often a mess. Shopping carts filled with random junk clogging the aisles. Huge pallets of boxes on the sales floor during the middle of the day... And when you finally go to pay, good luck! They never have enough registered open and the managers wait until the lines are winding around the sides and into the clothes before they call for help in the front. They need to get their act together at this location.
I purchased (and fed to my toddler) yogurt that expired 17 days prior. Food is ALWAYS expired at this location and I wasn’t given a refund. I was told I had to come back the next day. I couldn’t even exchange it because every single one had been expired for 17 days. Corporate is involved now.
I was here for a coffee from Starbucks and usually thats the excuse I use to go shopping for no reason. However I was tremendously discouraged when I stepped in the store to see the mess there was at the entrance of the store it was really disorganized and it looks dirty. My 3 stars are for a chance that it might be because it was holiday weekend and that could have been a crazy shift. Other than that no reason to come back here.
I am red card holder and i would say this store is terrible specially bayshore branch, whenever you call in store, no body answer the call!!!!!!.i felt so much disappointed, i will cancel my card and will use some other marketplace where customer can be taking careoff.

2021-07-01Enjoyed my recent visit!. Very updated target with a Starbucks in the location. It was very spacious and clean! This may be my favorite target in the area so far. Great Customer service! Expect long lines if you visit after 5pm on a weekday like myself. They didn’t have what I was looking for in stock however guest services had no troubles directing me to the nearest location where it was available. I went to the next location where I was able to find my item so I did appreciate that! ☺️

2022-03-19So the shelves are empty in a lot of departments. Went to pick up script from CVS and grabbed 1 bottle of limited cough medicine off the shelves. Went to pay for script and one bottle of cough medicine and they no longer let you purchase any items at the CVS register. Stand on line for self checkout and they no longer except cash at self checkout. The place is unorganized and dirty time to find a different store. 3/19/2022

2022-06-26I recently (about 2-3 years) found my love for Target. Ever since I downloaded the app, I made use of every single promo/sale. I found myself loving Target and shopping (I was surprised about that one). The experience was amplified when I got my card from them and got even more offers/benefits. If it makes any sense, Target became my new Amazon prime. Overall, great place with a wonderful and USEFUL (cant stress this out) app. Would recommend this place (and app) to friends and family.

2022-03-15I spent 600$ today on weights at target since I am building a home gym a and the security accused me of not purchasing the sets I had in my cart after reviewing the receipt. I then went ahead and started moving the weights to show I had what was on the receipt and he says “never mind I counted incorrectly I’m sorry” I understand people make mistakes but make sure you don’t accuse someone of stealing without correctly reviewing the receipt.Did you think I was just donating my 600$ to target LOLI feel as I was racially profiled because he didn’t check anyone else’s receipt but mine. Never again target :) back to Walmart LOLAlso by looking at the other reviews it seems you guys do that a lot to people of color.

2022-04-29Went into target for an order pickup. While there I decided to pick up a few things and proceeded to the self check out with my already paid item in the cart. I noticed The young female security guard standing at the door while I was checking out. After I paid I went to the other door because that’s where I parked. She followed me all the way to the opposite door and asked me for my receipt. I told her if she thought I was stealing, she could have asked for my receipt when she was watching me instead of following me. She claims she wasn’t following me-I politely told her yes you were but here are my receipts! While I do understand you have to do your job, don’t Harrass your paying customers while doing so! And keep in mind not all African Americans steal!

2022-03-11They sold me phone that did not work. Something like this is not their fault I understand, but they refused to let me return it, and even tried to say that Maybe I stole it at one point. I had my receipt and was literally trying to return it within 5 minutes of purchase. I left without the money or phone. The main aggressor was the security who stopped the customer service rep from refunding me, even though she was going to, and was rude to both her and I.

2022-05-21Twice now I bought items from this particular store where the contents were missing and replaced with either junk or random pieces, and their customer service and polices- or lack there of- need auditing from corporate…let me explain. The first time, I bought a white Xbox controller for my pc. When I brought it home and opened it, inside I found a used and broken blue controller. The first thing I did was put everything back the way I found it, grabbed my receipt, and drove right back to the store. After complaining, customer-service reps told me that since the seals (the clear tape that seals the box) were unbroken, they could not be held liable because as far as they knew- I was the one who broke the seal and replaced the contents with the used, broken controller. When I asked to speak with a manager, they sent for security instead. Seriously! Luckily, I was with my sister-in-law who went crazy, momma-bear on them, and they finally sent for the manager. After fighting with her for 15-min or so, the only thing she offered was store credit. I reluctantly took it because what am I gonna do with a broken controller?Fast forward two months later. I’ve already forgotten about the earlier incident, it was the first time I experienced anything like that from this store, let alone target. I went about my usual target-run when I stumbled across the Lego medieval black smith builder set (I’ve been collecting Legos since childhood), and vía impulse-buy I picked it up. When I got home, low and behold I only found 8 out of the 25 bags that should have come with the set. I didn’t bother bringing back to the target at bay shore due to my last experience. Instead I emailed the lego company directly. With compassionate customer service and care they were able to send the missing bags within a couple of weeks. When time came to start building, I open the first bag and learn none of the original bags where inside. Whoever stole the items from box replaced the contents with random bags from other sets.Corporate needs to investigate this location and how they handle their merchandise and customer care because when a customer asks to speak with a manager, security should not arrive, and a customer should not feel hopeless in returning items.

2022-02-18The way the departments are arranged make no sense at all, its not easy to find anything, they only had girls rain boots the clothing is boring and the plus size womens section is ugly. Nothing is worth the price in there.

2022-03-20When you go into targets your customer that should be respected and not yelled at by an employee there was no reprimanded For this employee yelling at someone because they hit the cart which was Left in the aile With no one supervising it which is a safety hazard I think corporate headquarters should review the tapes and see what’s going on there 3/20/22The employee was rude demeaning defamation of character and she still working there it’s bad for your business and your store and I would contact human resources Michelle and find out why this is going on and she still allowed to work thereThank you Elizabeth

2022-06-10Clothing sections are totally disorganized. Size on hanger rarely matches actual size. Very very frustrating!
