Target in other cities:
I love Target but I do feel like it has gotten much pricier in recent years. I ordered two items for pick up from Cyber Monday, and while I recognize that it was incredibly busy I was surprised at how long it took for my items to be retrieved. Overall it was convenient and the employees were clearly working very hard I was just in a rush and that was not super convenient.
Cameron was great! We were in a bit of a rush and couldn’t find the garland that we wanted and so Cameron advised us on what to do and actually told us the benefits of having a target card as well. We couldn’t believe he just started! Extreme knowledge of the brand, hospitable and will definitely be the reason we trek from Williamsburg to come back to this location.
First time coming to this target & the customer service needs to be improved. There should be no reason why multiple employees are walking away while you’re speaking to them to get help to purchase something within the store. Someone did kindly help me in the end & I am very grateful for her I wish I would’ve wrote her name down. I believe this is a new store I’m not 100% sure. There was tons of school supplies for affordable prices on great brands like Crayola. The women’s clothes were pretty to. I look forward to coming again & hopefully there’s better communication/respect between both the employees & customers.
This target is trying to force the self checkout down our throats. On a Monday, there were 20+ people in line for self checkout, and only two open registers to opt for regular check out. Of course, I had trouble ringing something up and the person there to help was super nice. I am baffled as to why he was the only one there running all the self checkout stands himself.I had a cart full of home goods and groceries. It took a long time for me to take care of it myself (like finding bags large enough for pillows). This isn’t service. This is trying to get me to do someone else’s job.Everyone I encountered while at this location was kind and went out of their way to help me. It’s being treated like cattle as I walked out that left a bad taste.
Thank you to the workers here in target. I was followed by this strange man on the streets and into target. I was hoping he would stop following after I entered. But he ended up following me throughout the store and a worker named John didn’t hesitate to step in and help me. Took me to security and held the guy off when he tried to get closer. The security team there advised me to stay inside longer in case he was waiting for me outside which he was. Thank you so much to this targets employees for responding so fast.
This particular Target has shrunk their hours so much that I cant shop here anymore. They used to be open 7-Midnight, which was great because I could shop here before and after work. Then they shrunk it down to 7-10, so I could still come in the AM before work. Now, they are only open 8-9, so theres literally no time for me to come shop before work.So long target. I shopped with you at least 4 days a week, but now Im going to Brooklyn Fare since they open at 7AM.
Constantly impressed by this Target, especially the grocery section. Seeing as Trader Joes often has long lines, it is so nice to be able to go upstairs to Target and pick up what I need, in addition to other non-food necessities. The employees are mostly helpful and I appreciate the efforts they put in to keeping the store clean.
Overall, I have been quite satisfied with my shopping experiences at Target. However, on this occasion I had a LONG wait for the woman I needed to speak with==about a half hour, even though I had made an appointment, and arrived slightly early. I needed help with a phone I had bought online from Consumer Cellular. The woman knew very little about how to set up the phone, and had to make several calls to Consumer Cellular. Id give her a very low rating.
I was in and out in a matter of 3 minutes! I timed it. I had my ID ready and I went at a very early time so I had no problems. I was greeted by a young lady who was carrying some sort of company tablet and once I gave her my ID she pulled it up in a matter of seconds and went in the back and brought out my item in a matter of seconds. I swear Target is spoiling me! When I do not receive the same type of service and professionalism from other companies I get frustrated! Keep doing what your doing!!!!!!!!!!
This target is very clean and keep a great stock of items. I come here often for baby items and the Fresh Pet dog food I realized is at a much better price than at whole foods. They also have a better choice of variety and grain free options. The service here is good and sometimes its hard to find help in certain sections but once you find help the staff are polite and some very helpful and informative.
I love Target. It’s a place where you can go and find anything you need. I’ve never had any issues at any other Target I’ve been to but when you come to this Target and ask for help the employees always seem annoyed, they either tell you they don’t know where something is or tell you to go to an aisle and when you get there the thing you’re looking for is not there! One time I asked an employee for help and she had her AirPods on talking on the phone and then seemed annoyed she had to stop her conversation to help me. I have been to this Target about 5 times and every time I go is a disappointment.
Guest service needs major improvements, I love target stores due to usually having the lowest prices (most of which I have to price match with the app since nothing rings up correctly), but this specific store the Guest Service is horrendous. Not one person smiles or makes you feel welcome. Managers brush off guest and do not follow their own store policies, only the guest who act out and cause a scene will get actual help, price adjustments, returns and exchanges shouldnt be so difficult. Being friendly is apart of the job and respecting the people who get you paid should be number 1. Truly disappointed with what Target has become.
The store is very organized and clean. Employees are very helpful and make you feel welcomed, theyll make the initiative to ask if there is anything they can help you with. The store offers lots of selections on items, from fresh produce to home essentials. Though smaller when compared to the Atlantic Terminal Store, this store is definitely better. When I visited, it wasnt crowded but theres plenty of cashiers and self-checkouts.
I find this to be a nicer, cleaner, tidier store than others I’ve been to and maybe it’s just the hours I’ve been but it doesn’t seem as crazy busy as Atlantic. Only issues have been that the food isn’t well stocked (lots of empty shelf space, especially in the freezer/fridges) and the service isn’t consistently great. Took ages for the guys in electrical to sell us a speaker because they were having a great time hanging out together.
Been to the location a few times. The shelves are usually empty especially in the baby section. Also when at checkout its as if you are bothering them by getting on their line. The cashiers need to chat less between each other. Looking at the other reviews I am not the only one who feels this location needs a little help. Better selection and better staff.
While it is a very nice Target, customer service was the most unhelpful group that I have encountered. They left me waiting for 15 minutes so I left and came back and she just walked away without an explanation and left me waiting again. Not only that, I know retail is tough, but not a single person smiled unless they were whispering jokes to each other.Edit: Thanks to Jen for being amazing and super helpful, I really appreciate it
I love the prices at target. Its my go- to store! Today was really special because I had an employee by the name of Malik help find an item I was looking for. I went in to buy post its that were advertised for $1 but could not figure out which they were. He dropped what he was doing and walked me over to the post it section. He even checked each of the post its. And best of all, he did it all with such kindness. Even though the post its I came for were not there, I really appreciated Malik and his presence.
Spacious, bright, and well-organized store with a wide variety of merchandise for sale, from household products and appliances to grocery items. Service at the checkout lines was fast and friendly. This store is so much better than the Target on nearby Atlantic Terminal Mall.
This is a brand new store. Its spacious, clean and organized. I love the fact that, unlike the Atlantic Mall store, they have fresh fruits and vegetables. There is a good number of cashiers available, so I never had to wait in line for too long. In addition, there are self-checkout stations.
The associates who helped me out today were an absolute class act. Seriously some of the best customer service I have received. Its the middle of a pandemic, their counter was swamped, and they still had the time, bandwidth and energy to help me out and (politely) joke with me.
Shopping at the store is awesome. Everyone is helpful. Right products, right prices, right experience. But when you get home and something is not right, there is no way to communicate that to the store or company without spending time and money to go back to the store an confront them face to face on simple feedback on their products. Crazy. Wal-Mart, Kohls, and Macys have Target beat in the customer experience.
Worst experience at a Target I have ever had. Everything in the store is great but the security guard is beret rude and disrespectful. I went to this store to buy some products with a two friends and we proceeded through the self checkout options. We packed our bags, loaded our boxes of sodas, PAYED and continued one our way out. As my friends and i are leaving the store the male security guard along side a female security immediately said (not asked) “we saw you packing the bags in the basket give back what you took now” Now myself and my two other friends (we are 17, 17 and 18yrs old) are wondering what is this guy talking about. Before we can even get to say a word the security guard became more vulgar saying “Just admit what you did and make it easy for us” I said “We just bought all of these products” then asked my friend to show the receipts as she looked for the recipe the security guard was looking through our bags very aggressively. Then my friend found the receipt and gave it to the female guard. Then we simply asked for an apology. He was very RUDE and HOSTILE. Instead of asking for the receipt he immediately barked at teenagers making them feel like criminals the whole checkout line was watching the unjust altercation occur. Now I understand securities have a job to do, and I understand plenty people especially teenagers tend to steal. HOWEVER not only did he approach the situation very disrespectfully he also proceeded to kick us out the store treating us like criminals and refusing to give a simple apology. TERRIBLE SERVICE!
Terrible customer service. The salesman named ’Ace’ at the electronics department was rude and didn’t know the answers to any basic questions I asked him. It was obvious he didn’t want to make a sale and wanted to go back to his break. That’s ok - I took my business to Amazon and paid a lot less too. This salesman should be fired as he gives the Target store a bad name.
I love this Target. It has a great selection of items and it is never really packed. So you can get what you want and get out. I really dont want to give it a good rating because I dont want more people to find out about it. Keep it as a secret shopping spot. The only issue is parking though. I usually go to pick up a few items I can take on the train.
Mainly go here for convenience. It’s a nice store but a bit smaller than a typical target (not surprising). Seems like they are out of steak and sour cream frequently but no real complaints otherwise. Prices are pretty consistent with Targets in other cities; doesn’t appear to have an NYC mark-up on most items.
Easy layout- very easy to flow. However, HORRIBLE customer service at guest relations. People act like they dont want do their jobs and supervisors obviously dont care that customers are being served and cant wait to give their next orders of business once customers are finished at the register. I truly wish I had their names. Unacceptable. It was so bad, he packaged my groceries terrible which boared a hole in my yogurts. Will never visit this location again.
I came down to Brooklyn to visit my friends and family and yesterday on the 21st we went to target on 445 Albee square i had amazing customer service from this young girl name Netta (that’s what her name tag said )she help me with everything i needed cause I had no idea how to work self check out n she help me that line was so long though I was going to be on there for a long time but she had it moving I was on line for about 10 minutes she is great 👍
Terribly stocked. The excuse is always the truck hasnt come in yet. This store is in desperate need of better management. You dont wait until half of your grocery inventory is gone to place orders. Please be more proactive! Half of the workers go above and beyond to answer questions and help find items...half stand in the aisles having personal conversations and act as if youre interrupting them when you approach😒. Maybe the managers can call over to the other area Targets and get advice on how to keep adequately stocked shelves. Very surprising for the neighborhood the store is in!
Half of my order was not ready for pickup up when I arrived 2 days later. I had to get the rest of my order myself and I was still charged for the items not ready.Everything was in stock and sitting on the store shelves. I waited in line at customer service to pick up the online order. Only half of it was ready. Had to go to the back of the store in the baby section and pick up the rest of my order. I had to stand in line again to check out and purchase the items again. Still waiting on my refund from the first order.Dont waste your time with online ordering .
The guy who was at guest services this morning was fantastic. I think he was the manager (Joshua maybe?). So efficient and helpful. There was another guy on the floor, Malik, who was also very nice and tried to help. Overall very good experience. I’ve never been disappointed at this location.
Customer service was not helpful. I purcuased a CO2 soda stream refill canister that was defective. I asked for a swap. They didnt have any refill cainster or empty co2 canisters and refused to give me a refund on the defective canister at that time. However I was told to try to exchange it at a later date when they had refill canisters available. My worry is..since the canister is defective it might leak all the co2 out and i wont be able to get a refund bc it will appear that i used it.
Normally I go to the 1849 target 🎯 but today I was in the area getting my hair done. So I decided to give this target 🎯 a try. I was pleased as soon as I walked in , It was clean and I could find everything I needed. Until I reached the baby department. I walked up and down the aisles looking for (Jack&Cat) 9 to 12 months baby boy socks and to my surprise it was no where to be founded. Because it was my first time here I asked an associate for help. She didnt knew much about the baby department so she went to get a manger. When the manger came she told me that because this was a smaller target 🎯 the didnt carry baby sock. This made me mad as hell. How do you expect people to know you dont carry baby sock when you carry baby clothes. I asked her if there could be any in the back room and with looking she said no. I love target but this would be my last time ever shopping at this location. The sad part is she didnt even try to help me in any way. All she did was tell me no and walk away.
Kayla is Outstanding!I bought a gift from my cousins online Target registry. The order wasnt in the most presentable condition for a gift. Thats when Kayla went above and beyond the call of duty and located a duplicate with stellar packaging and brought it to me.I am a very Happy Customer😊I Highly Recommend this location and this is now my Go To Target. 💝
After waiting 30mins in line to do a return. I got light headed because I’m a diabetic and as my friend held my spot in the line I went to grab a snack. I finally get called to the cash register the cashier was rude she did my transaction with the most limited words and no eye connection and when she passes me my receipt she walks off. Being that I had to make a urgent purchase because again I was light headed , I waited til she got back and she basically dismissed me and told me I had to make my TWO item purchase at another register after I waited in a 30min line just to make a return. So I left the products there.Target at Albee square definitely has to do better with their selection of employees they hire. They seem to not like their jobs and I’m not saying all but the hand full I have exchanged words with definitely can careless about customer service!!This has to get better.
I think the overall demeanor/moral of the place needs a lot of attention. Some staff members dont even look like the want to be there. Which says to me either Target is a messed up employer that doesnt give a damn about accommodating work schedules for their employees. Or, they hire people who dont seem to have high values for themselves and it shows in the form of misguided info, a non chalont sales approach, or my favorite, 180° bout face when you look like you wanna ask them something. They all seem like Deer caught in the headlights, afraid to be on upper managements bad radar and possibly jeopardize upcoming holiday, sick, even maternity leave. M,m,m. Shame. No, I dont, nor have I ever worked for Target. I just know this and these types of political bully tactics runs rampid in the so called Fortune 500 companies. They make your personal life their business life and arrange things so that you personally have to deal with their business. 😉. All for money they gripe about paying you. Not, for your precious time and specific and special skills. (That they wont ever know about you).
I want to love this location, but its so meh. Theyre out of stock of a lot of key items frequently, and never seem to restock. Picked up a few food items and forgot to check the expiration date, until I opened them up at home. Its convenient, thats for sure, but all else is a wash.
This is the Target NYC has been waiting for. Its not a Super Target but its as close as youll get to one here. Decent selection of housewares, clothes, grocery/household necessities, although lots of damaged/opened items seem to be sitting on the shelves. Definitely the cleanest most Target feeling Target in NYC.
So much better than Atlantic location but small store with less selection, though you may not realize til youre looking for something specific like waterproofing spray or PUR brand gum. Lots of self checkout kiosks and rarely a wait. I like the home goods, but really feel like Target could improve quality of beauty products, clothing and healthy food options. Also there were virtually no smaller sized womens clothing (all XL, XXL) & very few accessories like hats and gloves. In smaller store, Id rather more accessories and less clothes instead of practically no accessories.
According to their website the store closes at midnight. I ran 20 minutes to make it in time because it was the only store open late that sells tampons. I arrived out of breath at 11:56 but wasn’t allowed in because “everyone already went home and there’s no one at the registers”. I begged to simply just get the tampons but the girl was being extremely rude and dismissive. If you’re going to close at 11:56, you better damn advertise that you close at 11:56, not midnight.
In this target is you are targeted for robbery (my phone was stolen from my cart) by shoppers, just a day ago there was a shooting and was in the news. This is NOT a safe place to shop. I will try to stay away from it. So I give it almost zero star because safety first. Some people working there are nice.Security cameras dont work when I aske to see who site my phone of my cart.
Had a amazing shopping experience at 445 Gold street Brooklyn NY 11201.....They had everything i need and more wonderful places always go there n spend more then i expect to 🙄 lol but i must say they have a wonderful cashier name Danetta she was so wonderful and have great customer service skills and really respectful love everything about that young lady the company need more workers like her she is awesome hope you guys appreciate her work
I usually go to the target in Atlantic terminal mall, but today I decided to check out this location since traded joes is just downstairs.Horrible decision; the area is just so hectic and really busy/crowded, if youre driving dont expect to find parking easily at all. I also noticed this target doesnt have as much selection AND the prices are slightly higher than other targets. I was not pleased with that.I did however, really enjoy interacting with one of he customer service agents; she was extremely nice and helpful and she is the reason Im giving this another star on the rating scale.
It is great to have a target to go to. It saves us so much time being able to find almost everything we need in one place instead of travelling round Brooklyn to find items at small shops. I think their pricing is also the same as it is nationally so it saves us a lot of money.
I have had some hit and misses with thia Target especially the customer service, but a wonderful rep named Michelle was so helpful I had to write a review. They ran out of large plastic bags and I had items that were too big to carry. The cashier privided no alternativeAnd directed me to customer service. Michelle found me some large garbage bags and escorted me all the way to my cab too help Me! That is customer service, she was warm and accomadating and now I may shop at that Target again.
Better Target than at Atlantic terminal, with fresh fruits and veggies, meats, and your regular frozen and boxed goods -- along with with every standard non-food option that all Targets have. Bunches of self service checkouts move things along at the end of your trip. Bathrooms are in the back corner by the produce.
Love this Target, l shop here twice a week and with the pandemic among us l feel very comfortable in the store when l first walk in l say hi to the person setting at a table near the entrance and get a free pair of gloves 🧤 then l go on to shop l go early so there are not many customers, the staff is very helpful and l find most of what l’m looking for and the prices are still pretty good, l’m so grateful this store is here and open for business. 😷😊
First time going here today i normally go to the Atlantic Mall target. First ill say its an okay size store but not enough variety for me . They have like a little of alot of things and lack alot of things. I couldnt find what i wanted in the pet section as far as the food or a carrier much less a pet bed. Cat food barely has a selection to choose from and the electronics section was so small i was able to stand by the register and see everything within that square box of a section. The aisle next to it has a few electronics 😖.Looked for a few cleaning products also. You ask for sales help and the person come but be of no help. You work at the store shouldnt you have an idea of what products your employer sell and be able to recommend something similar in place of nothing sheesh. The next associate i encounter was in electronics for a laptop. Maybe these are supervisors in the off color tops but anyway he tells a guy i want a laptop. This guy walking like he had all day and i can wait. Mind you im like a foot away from him 😱. He gets the laptop then goes back to talk with his friend. Now we at the register waiting for their conversation to end so we can get rung up and leave 😂😂. The girl leaves and he ring us up then here comes another male employee and they start talking 😂😂. Im like omg this has got to be the coolest job as im leaving and see more employees in pairs just conversating chilling. No thank you for shopping at target , eye contact or words except the price. Where is the Customer Service ?
This is the worst Target Ive ever been to. I come here at least once a week and every time something really annoying happens. The majority of the staff are unprofessional, the shelves are often unstocked, and checking if something is in stock online or ordering for in store pickup is a complete waste of time. Honestly, just shop somewhere else if you can.
I think the employees that work at the Mc Donalds on Flatbush across the street might be related to these employees at this Target. They try to make you feel like you should be so lucky that they came to work. They all hide from their jobs and give attitude when someone asks for any type of help or service. They should diversify their employees. Maybe the ones there will learn something from others who do come to work and want to get ahead in the world. Because of who they hire, this Target sucks. Taking my shopping and $$$$ somewhere else. This gets ZERO stars!!!!!!
I dont know why I thought the level of service would be an improvement here at the new City Point Target. However, its even worse than the Atlantic Terminal location. Ask the security guard a question, she couldnt be bothered to even look up to make eye contact when responding.
Never have what I am looking for in stock, customer service sucks, associates seem to run the show not management, merchandise is stuck anywhere on the shelf BUT where it should be..... must I go on??? An associate down in the HABA area putting away what must have been from customers changing their minds having a grand convo about her relationship troubles.... How about cashiers who are told they cannot leave their station and go anyway??? Will never recommend this store to anyone!!!
What a bad customer service. They wouldnt even looking at you when scanning or asking you a questions. And starting on with a bad attitude Her name was sheylly..they should working on their customer service or they will eventually loose all their customer. I love target but not their employees
A tragedy now compared to when it first opened. Haven’t restocked the pet section in literally over a month. Nearly refused to reach for the back stock when they were low on paper goods until I asked multiple times as the website says the store is in stock but because I didn’t order order ahead, access to that stock was forbidden. Also just generally really unhelpful. Just as bad as the other one on Atlantic now :(
My first time at this Target, usually I go to the one on Atlantic Mall. I was so busy shopping I put my iPhone down for a second and ended up walking away leaving my phone. When I realize my phone was missing, I approach a staff member and told her what happened. The young lady took me to customer service, where another member took my phone out of a locked draw. Thank you Target
Want to give a zero for service but 1 is the lowest. In the Albee square Brooklyn target I went to exchange a case of pampers that was the wrong size. I grabbed a few boxes and 1 size was Im the wrong spot. I lost the receipt and because i paid cash they put half the money towards another case if pampers. I am never shopping at target again
Unhelpful staffs, they hate their jobs then they take it out on the customers. I ask for directions and the staff mumbled a few words and without pointing directions or being really helpful other staffs ignored me calling them as tho they ain’t hear or see me. This target is the worst unhappy employees ever
Its always Albee Square Mall to me...I was just in Target and spent over 200 hundred dollars easy and this man was very upset that the cashier took her time and folded my clothes and she also let me know one of my items was on sale...Ohhhh he was big mad and place all is items on the belt and left.. I just wanna say to the cashier..Thank you for being professional and i know rascism is alive and kicking..I will still continue to shop in target
Last night when i finished shopping at target my son almost accidently but a cashier and she raised aliminum foil at him and checked if my wife was looking afterwards and of course my wife said something but that wasnt just it, a few seconds later a bearded man walked up aaying he was a manager (he was security) he told us we was lying and escorted us out but while he waa walking us out he told me wife to get her papers... Really dissapointed at they way they handled everything very poorly and unprofessional.

2022-05-12Located on second floor.Store seems fully stocked.Prices are better than some supermarkets nearby. There is a Starbucks near the exit. They sell Lego sets in the toys section in the corner.Lots of self checkout machines.Separate lines for pickup and returns.

2022-04-10Honestly, I love Target department stores. The variety in clothes, toys, food, snacks, shoes. Plus inexpensive. We dont have variety like that in Barbados. This one had long escalators to the top floor.

2022-03-23I used to prefer this location to the Atlantic-Barclays one because it was more relaxed and I could take my time browsing without being in anyones way. Lately, Ive been followed from aisle to aisle and stared at by staff my entire time here and it just makes me feel uncomfortable and targeted. Will most likely stop coming and tell others if this continues.

2022-06-09First time coming to the store and the first thing I see when I walk in is death stares. The women at the post in the front don’t even greet you with a warm welcome. The eyes are beyond uncomfortable. I never reviewed this. Once I came to the store again the same person stares at me and you can tell when someone talks about you because their friend looks as well. It’s an uneasy feeling and I will not be shopping hear again.

2022-04-17GREAT customer service. When it was time for check out the young man Anthony so kind and generous with making sure my items would get damaged since there was barely any paper towrap it with, so he improvised to make sure it would arrive to my home not damaged. Thank you so much Anthony. Best employee in this store and hope to see more employees just like anthony. YOu have a great team member!

2019-10-16Always have clean dressing rooms and the staff is very helpful to exchanges in sizes. Always open late so that’s a plus since I work late nights and always need to get a few supplies before heading home. Great deals and specials weekly so this is my go to place in an emergency for laundry detergents and soap.

2022-05-12Target is like the general store of our times. They have pretty much everything. It is of course a major chain and not a family owned business but that distinction is beyond the scope of this review. One thing Target had gotten right is self checkouts. They are fast accurate and dont do that annoying place your item in the bagging area thing. If you are going to shop at Target on a regular basis you need to download the app. You can earn rewards and get special discounts with the Target Circle program - 1% back in rewards. One thing to know about Target Circle, is if you sign up for and use the Target credit card you will get an automatic 5% discount if every purchase but you wont get the additional 1% Target Circle reward; you can however still get other Target Circle discounts. Regarding this particular store, given its location on Fulton Street, youd expect this Target to be overcrowded and messy. However, its surprisingly orderly, well stocked, and I never wait more than a minute or so to checkout. The customer service team is also great. Theyve assisted with everything from finding items to returns past the standard time frame while being courteous and friendly.

2017-05-31Its well stocked and maintained in an orderly fashion. The staff seems to generally be engaged, although you get some folks who are simply passing the time on their shift. Lets see what happens as the neighbor continues to change with newer residential developments coming to market.

2019-02-20Great huge store. I enjoy shopping there. I wish the blacknhaircare section was bigger. I was surprised this week to find almost empty shelves.
