Wasn’t really that good to be honest. The place was smaller then expected especially for a target and it didn’t really have the products (a power bank in particular) I wanted. Not to mention some of the prices were much more expensive when compared to what around here locally like with the food. Honestly if you’re looking for a Target just go to the one in Harlem or the Bronx it’s much better. If you’re in the heights stick to local stores, would be more worth your while. I will say it at least looked nice inside
This location of target,doesnt have large sections of the items. If you need to go to this particular target,there is only a large amount of pharmaceutical and or makeup section.
Good location for everyday needs, small store, not a big target store, limited items.
Ii love target but not this location. Everything is sold out and then when they stock the shelves they just fill in empty gaps and no consideration of removing the tags for items that are sold out. It causes confusion and quite frankly just annoying. The young staff working seems to only care about personal conversations and offer no help to a customer looking through empty shelves. Going forward I’ll be going to the 225st location. Something else could’ve gone into this space rather than just squeezing a target into the community..UPDATE 10/12/21: now the store closes at 9 where most targets close at 10, therefore I can’t even make it here anymore.. useless
It’s smaller than I had hoped so the selection of items isn’t great, but it will do for basics and some of the usual Target things. The self checkouts aren’t working well at the moment. Giving 5 stars because the staff throughout the store was very helpful and friendly.
I just wanted to leave a comment recognizing Anthony. I am not sure what his status is within the store, but I witnessed him being extremely gracious and patient with a homeless customer. She made a bit of a mess within the store but while assisting her Anthony reassured that it was no problem and they would gladly clean up after her. Often times it’s forgotten that the homeless are people too but Anthony showed nothing but kindness towards her.
Go there everyday its about time and I love they price match right at checkout. Thought it is always busy I have not had to wait on line more then 2 min self check out or full service .BRAVO to that. Though I would like to know when they will stop doing credit card only at self check out. Please fix this ASAP. And thank you for having an NYPD presence there I seen to many Chain stores locally just been devastated by the on slaught of shop lifters on Opioids. To the point that their stores shelfs are consistently empty and you cant shop them. So thank you target for being proactive in the safety of you customers and employees
Everytime I go to buy, there’s people stealing and walking out with merchandise, makes me feel very unsafe to shop here !!!! SMH
As a resident of the area in Manhattan, Washington Heights I’d like to know why you’re wasting our resources with NYPD working as security at the newly opened store 181st street.NYPD officers are not for guarding your store, they’re paid 80K-120K per year & NYC already has an over inflated Police budget, this budget cuts funding & services to more important issues in NYC, schools, transportation, healthcare.I find it disgusting that Target assumes people of this neighborhood should be policed while shopping, spending money at your Muti-billion dollar company (who pays low wages and exploits its workers) hire your own private security.
Went today. Its a mini Target. So kyoot. Everything aint broken yet though, just wait. On top of that, barely any electronics. Go for health, food, some home needs, and clothes.
So exciting brand new store ..all the shelves well stocked..welcome Target to the neighborhood..convient..close to buses and subways..customer service nice. Hope it stays a good store

Dont come to this Target for electronics. This store is mostly food, clothes and care products. There are already stores in the area that sells those items in the surrounding area and for cheap. It a small small target store.

Inconvenient, small bathroom, no parking, homeless stealing, awkward exit, this target is a go one small and on a second floor, they have almost nothing of what you need and everything of what you dont, rude staff, specially the one who never is in uniform walks around just because she pretty and dont help costumers, how is the supervisor accepting a worker like her, the security is just there by name

On Thursday, December 2, I went to this Target to buy some things for the night, when I was about to pay for my products I had a credit card failure and several guys tried to help me but nothing could be done. I was leaving and one of the people who attended me told me that he was paying for me. I was surprised, I dont think it usually happens that someone offers to pay for something, haha. Well, the point is that today I went to pay him and he was not :( if you read this, I left the money with the security boy 🤣🤣🤣🤣
To be so small, it has enough, and one is needed here, it has fallen from the sky 😊😊😊 and compared to the prices of the supermarkets around it is better
They do not have tv, electric scooters or scooter for children, bicycles none of that

2021-09-02So far so good as the saying goes. this store just opened few weeks ago we definitely needed this in the neighboring to bring some brightness after the pandemic so many stores around closed. I know for sure at least people will have the excuse to come here often to do their shopping now. the space is decent it is not like other Target just keep that in mind when heading here is more compact is that makes sense to you. Welcome Target to our multicultural Washington Heights neighborhood 🥰

2021-08-15This finally opened after many delays and it’s mini but the selection of products available is quite thoughtful. Great if you just need to pop in for something quick or want to just browse a little bit. Got a little bag for going to the grand owning which was a nice touch. Nice to have something here this space was empty for a while.

2022-05-17It’s a small Target but definitely is more than a CVS, which is what I expected from the reviews. Decent food selection at lower prices than nearby supermarkets. Small clothing area, umbrellas, pet area, cleaning supplies, etc. Sure, it’s nowhere near the size of others like the Bronx location, but compared to mini-Targets downtown, this one is miles ahead.

2022-03-20First of all, this is not aTarget, this is a mini Target. You go to this place after work hours and you don’t find anything you are looking for. Not only that, I went there today, 3/20/22 at around 12:30pm, to get some items, and to my amazed, I did not find any of them. The place needs to be better stock. Also, some of the workers need to be more courteous. Honestly, I hate going to this Target but sometime I am in the vicinity and just go in. For a Target, the should had found a bigger space🤔

2022-04-18Felt extremely violated by the return experience and felt my rights as customer were violated due to targets inadequate software and staff. Do not give drivers license they illegal scanned mine.1. Incorrect product was given- Target at fault, but was easily fixable.2. Target in person credit card machine was not able to return purchase to my credit card. Target at fault ...This is where things went downhillThe app glitched we had a difficult time confirming it was the correct card. Theres several back and forth3. Target employee 1 asked for my Id. I wasnt notified that it would be scanned. I was never asked to consent and do not consent to Target having my drivers license on file. This was a significant breach of trust and communication. My drivers license is a legal form of identification- something very few institutions have access to. In my eyes its basically on the same level as a passport. Im beyond disgusted the teller scanned it without asking me.After he scanned my drivers license I angrily took back my drivers license. I told him he didnt ask to do that (scan license) and that I didnt consent.Multiple missteps by the target system and team. Still not able to return even though target fulfilled wrong size product.Continued back and forth about my credit card not being sufficient. A 2nd teller takes over return.2nd teller was knowledge of the online order system and eventually helped me process the return. Which was helpful but doesnt make up for target having access or privilege toy drivers license.Overall I would not recommend this location or online ordering form this location.Ive never had an experience from it learned that I should be careful and question before being taken advantage of etc.

2022-05-28If I could give this zero stars I would, was visiting a friend and we came to this store. He was the only black male in the store and the security followed us everywhere pretendning to be on his phone. when being confronted about the situation he got mad. Maybe diversity training should be in the works. Oh yeah my friend would not steal he has a PHD
