Target in other cities:
Large store. Lots of items. Several cash registers for checkout. If you enjoy Starbucks, theres one inside by the front entrance upon entering. Always clean store and bathroom with lots of stalls, mirrors and sinks. On the 2nd floor level of the shopping plaza. Elevator and escalator accessible. Paid Parking lot. Taxi cabs stand with plenty of cabs if you need. Applebees is downstairs adjacent to the shopping center, if you want to eat. As well, A Taste of Seafood restaurant (across the street from Applebees) is there.Costco, Bobs Discount Furniture, Aldi Supermarket an Old Navy all under the same roof in this shopping center.
Management in the front end section is trash both morning and night. The 2 managers who open in the mornings are extremely unpleasant to deal with and have attitudes especially the manager Jessica. Cashiers have nasty attitudes and try to charge extra for items listed as “sale” items. The night manager Adina/Athena idk her name but she’s extremely rude and plays favorites with cashiers.
This Target is at the East River Plaza complex at 517 East 117th Street. If travelling by bus from the Westside of Manhattan make your way to 106th Street and transfer to the M116 (M116 actually begins at 106th Street) via the M104, M7, or M11. Hop on the M116 which will take you through Harlem to 1st Avenue and 117th Street, about one block away from the East River Plaza. Or take the M96 to 1st Avenue transfer to the M15 on first Avenue (make sure you get the ticket at the machine before you transfer). For other areas please check Google Maps or the MTA info page. If coming from the East side of Manhattan take the M15 or buses travelling North and get off at 116th Street then walk East. Target is a One stop place for everything you need - clothing, cosmetics, housewares, baking goods, pantry essentials, fresh produce, frozen fruits and vegetables, meats, candy and everything you need to fill the fridge including beverages and ice cream! You can also find wonderful television sets on sale, new cel phones, and all your tech needs at Target. There is an amazing selection of Toys for boys and girls. The service is great - just ask a sales person for an item and they will locate it for you and if it is not on the shelves they will make sure to get it, if available, from the stock room. This place is huge! When you enter the store there is a big Help-Desk Station on the left and an eating area with a Starbucks Cafe where you can sit and enjoy that cup of joe to get your strength back and keep-on-shopping! Grab a pizza, Pasta Bowl or a Sandwich or just a bottle of water here. Restrooms are at the far end of this eating area. So for any holiday, season or event. Target has everything!
I had a cashier that took such good care and time to complete the transaction quickly and formally. Linda put my clothes in bags as if she was wrapping the crown jewels for the Queen of England. I was so surprised at how carefully she did her job that I had to let you know how much I appreciated her efforts. I guess you might say other stores would be lucky to have such a caring employee!
I popped in really quickly tonight to grab a few items with a friend and totally botched the self checkout out experience but Justina who was working the area did a great job helping me out. She exuded a warm & inviting energy that embodies the true meaning of customer service.
Just wanted to give a review on my experience today. Shouting out two employees I came in contact with. A guy name Tyree in the food section who helped my cousin and I and was very knowledgeable of where things were and was really kind. And the cashier I believe her name was Ariel. I like to look at names and address then by their names while I’m interacting with the employees. She was very patient. Some employees give attitude when you want to price match and she didn’t have a problem. She checked the prices and changed where needed. She was kind and very professional. Nice today today in target on 117th. Blessed.
Who doesnt love a trip to Target. Using my Target circle on my app, I always check for additional discounts and sales. I was in and I was out. The whole 117th street complex seemed to be not crazy busy early this afternoon. To my benefit 😌. I love quick shopping trips like that when it comes to grocery runs.
Every time I go to this location I visit the 30 to 70 percent off section. And every time I grab the items from there and go to checkout they can never get it together. They end up telling me the item is not on sale. I have even taken pictures to show them that many of the same product was there and they still refused to give it to me on sale. It’s a shame because this is actually my favorite target. But this is something they definitely need to improve. I even told the manager I was going to put it in my review and he was like ok. Basically saying he didn’t care.
An excellent shopping experience at Target Harlem. They had everything we needed (bed sheets, swim shirts, Tick repellent, and a non-essential bag of Cheetos). Like always, great variety and great prices. We required customer service on this trip and the two staff members we engaged with were awesome - smart, capable, and wanting to help. Target is executing on all cylinders! Keep up the good work!
Good selection of merchandise at very reasonable prices as with any other Target. This particular store seems to have difficulty keeping the shelves properly stocked. Lots of empty spaces and things out of stock can lead to frustration. If youre already in the mall then its fine for a quick visit but definitely not worth a special trip.
This is in regards to the guest services department. Ive encountered Niko twice. once to inquire about when returns would reopen due to Covid extension and then 2nd time to do returns. Niko (the returns team member) was amazing! I had complicated returns I had to do, I could not find my receipt for one of my opened items and was worried I could not return it but Niko was friendly, helpful and patient. She was also very professional and did not make me feel uncomfortable during the long process. I had about 6 returns due to them building up over 2 month Covid return suspension and she kept a smile on for all of them. She was very genuine in her hospitality as well. 5 star customer service an all around she made me feel valued as a customer. She was just so refreshing as Im used to very rude, gloomy sales reps at Target. Thankful for people like her. This shop is also pretty big and well stocked mostly Id say in the beauty, electronics and grocery departments.
This Target needs to do better. It is a very busy store but there is no excuse for there being not one cart available inside the store at 10:00 am on a Sunday and no one outside collecting them from all the different levels. The store was not crowded.Almost every aisle has a cart with items needing to be restocked. Which would be fine if there was someone restocking them but there is not. There is just a cart blocking the aisle. This adds insult to injury because there are no carts at the front of the store. As for the relationship with Starbucks, if Target is staffing it then they need to do so. It is busy enough for two people. I waited twenty minutes to get my order taken and there were only three people in front of me, each getting one to two items. The barrister clearly was over it and offered minimal customer service.Hire more people or schedule better. It doesnt have to be this way.
One star is too much! My daughter went in to purchase a few items. When she arrived home to find out 2 of the items she purchased were not in the bag. I called back to the store to inform them of the situation and to also find out what would be her next move. Needless to say customer service did not pick up the phone. After 10 and I mean 10 tries some one finally pick up. Im normally pretty cool but i will be going back to the store today so my daughter can retrieve her items. I shouldnt have to go to this extreme just to get satisfaction. This is totally unacceptable. Extremely dirty floor, empty shelves and rude staff. Not fair that we as customers should be subject to these conditions. Customer satisfaction is not guaranteed!
Target, how is it possible that every single time I come here there are no carts at all? Seriously, how can you run out of carts every single day? The place also has about 50 registers, but only a handful are open at any given time. You will be lucky if you find a line with fewer than 3 or 4 people ahead of you. More than once I ended up leaving all my stuff not to wait 20 minutes to pay.
I attend this Target roughly 7-10 times a year and I was so impressed with the staff today. BEYOND friendly, everything was organized and clean, and you hear many of the staff talking about ways to improve in layouts and set up of clothing. While in the dressing room I could hear on their hand helds words oh good job and encouragement when people hit goals for the day. It sounded like a team... and when you have that and people who care about their jobs it shows. I wish everyone who worked at that Target today could get recognition.
As someone whos worked at a Target before, this place is a mess. And Im not talking about just the toy section. That I would expect. Its almost every isle has stuff on the floor or just thrown on the shelves. The other thing is their food court / Starbucks seem to close at weird hours. Came in at 5:30 on Saturday and they were closed. Asked an associate when the store closed at they said midnight. Oh well. You dont want my money for a cup of coffee? Thats fine, Im sure anyone else will take it.
Somehow staff is both polite and mildly rude at the same time. It’s an art. Customers are annoying, so I get it. However what really bothers me is how slow everyone moves. This place is never that packed when I go in. It’s always chill, but staff takes forever do get things done. Lollygag central. The Starbucks in there is the worst. Never gets my order right. Taste is never consistent. Whenever I double check if they put almond milk, they say yes... but it’s not because I get sick. Plus I know the difference in taste. What if I had a more severe allergy? Please demand higher standards and common sense of your workers, Target.
Location is great.. but it can get overcrowded quickly. Also they tend to move their products too quickly around the store. One week it will be in its normal location.. and the next its on some sale display. Then they are out of stock for things I want.. for example- mens size XL shirts. The service can come off very cold. They always seem to be stocking and always look busy putting things up for display. Cashiers are always friendly.
Target is located inside the east river plaza in east harlem. This kind of store was definitely need in this area because you can shop for a wide variety of things and feel like you are getting your moneys worth. The store is packed with customers on the weekends and its almost impossible to get a staff person to help you find something. There are never any shopping carts to use and while there are plenty of registers there never filled with cashiers so the checkout lines are long and it seems like it takes forever to cashout. All in all you can find what you need in this store because they have a wide variety of items for sale. So its worth a visit because this is one of only a few stores like this in Manhattan.
Worst Target I have ever been to. Im a huge Target fan but the service and upkeep of this store have really made me avoid it.The staff is unhelpful and rude, in addition to poorly stocked shelves and messy inventory. I would prefer to pay extra from a local store than even deal with this Target.
This is pretty much the only Target in Manhattan - its very big and items are stocked pretty well. Service is also friendly - never had a bad experience. Parking in the complex is about 5 bucks unless you stay over an hour. Compared to other Targets, I wouldnt say its as neat or clean.
Says online they have lysol products. I went all the way down there on 3/29/2020 and I was told by many employees no cleaning shipment came in so I mentioned what I saw online and the lady at the pickup order selection of the store tells me the website hasnt been updated. I know the crisis we are in but think of the customers coming so far looking for cleaning products in this crisis but because the website isnt updated were wasting our time when we could be elsewhere looking . Please please please think about elderly an non elderly customers in this crisis.
Shelves are always empty and now theyre super messy compared to when they first opened. The floor was sticky and there were even isles you couldnt enter cause carts were blocking. This target needs better managing. There is no excuse unto why this store looks like this or even to have empty shelves.
The people working here are not the brightest. It took me a great deal of time to get a price match from Targets own website. The deal didnt say online only and they had to call like 3 different people over to get it right. It is pretty cool that there is a pizza hut inside.
There was a promo for the game Mario Maker 2. They did not have them present at the checkout but went through exemplary effort to pinpoint the whereabouts of the promo. They eventually handed out the promo after 30 minutes of patiently waiting. My biggest fear was my inability to obtain it but because of them my dream has manifested into a reality.
A dreadful experience. Ordered a couple of LED lightbulbs for pick up. The order wasnt ready when I arrived, despite being informed that it was. On a Saturday, the place is a veritable zoo. Numerous escalators and elevators were out of service in the plaza. Altogether, a nightmare. Never again!
I feel this location is hit or completely miss. Not all the staff but I would say 70% of it at this location lacks customer service training. I really dont like asking for help and feeling like you could careless. When I go to other locations I feel more welcomed not as if Im a bother. When I go to Broadway in the bronx, Hutchison or even the Express location on 70th and 3rd I almost never have an issue with anything and I just cant seem to figure out why i do in 117th or the location in gateway mall. My assumption is lack of leadership or maybe training but I really hope they fix it.
The cashier was packing my merchandise for me, a miscellaneous order of small items. Only on arrival home I realised he failed to pack 3 smallest items from my order. On another occasion when my friends bank card wouldnt work, the cashier directed her to an ATM 10 minutes walk away despite one being right at the store next to customer services...Nice selection of merchandise but service leaves a lot to be desired.
I love Target. I can always find everything I need there. I just wish i had a car to help me move all the great things I want to buy there home! If you commute bring a suitcase and maybe some bookbags to put all your stuff in. But expect great deals and a nice atmosphere.
Its a Target, so everything is pretty standardized and you can generally expect to find what a Target has here. If youre driving in there is a nine level parking structure and you shouldnt have an issue parking. It is paid parking (I think its $6 for 2 hours. I dont know for sure since Ive never paid to park here).
This target needs help. So much space and they never have stuff. Blu ray section sucks and so on so forth. Dont get me started on their dinning area. Their electronic staff are the worst. Either they dont know anything or are just very lazy. I shop here every week and this electronics department only gets worse. The pricing and some of the staff are ok.
Target is characterized by being clean and organized but this Target is far from it (welcome to NY!). You can find what you need most of the times but there is very little variety. Almost everyone that works here is rude and doesnt want to be working so they have a bad attitude face (especially the food court).
I purchased meaty marinara and hot wings from the Harlem, NY Target location. After paying for my order I was not offered a receipt and my items were just left on the counter. I was not asked if I wanted a bag. When I requested a bag it was handed to me, my purchases were not placed in the bag. When I got home I found that my meaty marinara was incorrectly labeled. I called the store o let then know what happened. I explained that I lived too far away to return the food but that I wanted to let them know what happened in case other items were incorrectly labeled. I got the impression that the person on the telephone felt that I was wasting her time. So much for customer service.
This place is just horrible period. So I ordered a tv online and received an email saying your order is ready for pickup and it must get picked up before the 29th. Now I understand its the holiday season and having a little retail experience I know it can be a busy stressful time so I exercise my patience and waited. But after waiting 45 min watching everyone in the store walk around talk and play. Then after I got inpatient and upset then they went and pulled one of the floor because the one I ordered was no where to be found. Worst target experience ever
The conveniency of the order online it is not to expend unnecessary time at the store. It does not make sense, to order online and make an hour line to pick up your merchandise at the customer service line. The store is supposed to have a line destinated only for online orders picked up, so people can go in and out in a bit.
I would recommend Target to family and friends but not this Target location. Unfortunately for me, this is the closest target to my home so I have no choice but to frequent it. However, if the commute wasnt so crazy, I would fly to any other state and do my Target shopping. None of the Targets in New York City are good.
I was there yesterday, I like Target, Im happy there is a Target in Manhattan, its convenient for me to get to, but certain departments specifically the shoe department is a mess! Not only are different styles underneath the samples but different shoes and or sizes are in the wrong boxes and it was just a mess I had to walk out it was very disappointing! Please clean up that shoe Department!
Came in for a big item that was ready for pickup. They looked for it, after an hour of waiting around they said it was lost and told me to come back when they found it. Apologetic customer service but still a brutal experience. Would strongly advise against in-store pickup with this target.
Went there this evening to get a few tshirts. An employee with short hair was folding clothes in the women section and clearly she did not want me touching the clothes (???) The minute she spotted me near some shirts that I guess she had folded, she snapped at me to inquire what size I was looking for...in other words, dont touch them. She then proceeded to watch me to see which other clothes I would be shopping for (???) This is what happens when laziness overrides customer service. For the record, I am the customer that folds everything back.
I had a hard time coming in with my service dog. They had asked for things like an ID or documentation for my dog which is illegal. They followed me throughout the store and acted like they werent doing so. They let anybody in with their pet with a vest on now and doesnt even ask the 2 simple questions they can ask. My dog has been attacked twice because of their mistakes and they are very rude. Im a young service dog handler and I might not look disabled but they were highly rude to me. Im getting a new service dog for mobility work and I wonder how they would react to having a large 60+ pound dog walk in with a young 16 year old handler. I cant wait to record this discrimination against real teams. Disgusting.
Came to target with the kids for Halloween today and out of all days the food court was closed at 5pm. After walking several blocks to trick or treat the kids were looking forward to Pizza!! This has happened to us several times.. not to mention the workers are completely ignorant! Asked a worker why they were closed and she responded with “ take them to a pizza shop” followed by a eye roll! Being a loyal customer who frequents Harlem target several times a week, I am beside myself the way myself and my children were spoken to! I will not be making anymore trips from the west side to be treated like trash from trashy workers at Harlem target!
The store is always a mess when I shop on a Saturday or Sunday, missing product, messy shelves, shopping carts filled with product to be restocked. Asked a salesperson in the toy department where a toy was located and her reply was I have no idea. The worst and most infuriating part is the check out. Long lines and all the self check out closed, on a Sunday. I asked what I guess was the manager fumbling with the ropes in from of the closed self check out why they were closed, his repeated reply was because they are closed. I asked him they same question four times he replied the same four times.I wonder if the corporate office every visits this store and if they are satisfied with the way it is managed.
I shop here frequently. Clean, great prices and most of the staff is friendly. You need to check prices on items. Many times they are cheaper than marked. Sometimes the register does not give the correct price. Overall you will save a bundle. It gets crowded in the evening. Much better to shop during the day.
It was a nice visit as always but there were a lot of people putting out products so I really didnt see anything to buy for gifts but staff was fine there was no outstanding service or anything I walked and looked around and left I had no complications and most if the price machines were working. All over experience was smooth.

Its a bit of a schlep for me even from the UWS, but out of all the Targets in the 5 boroughs, this is 2nd tidiest, well stocked one that isnt way out in the middle of a public transportation dead zone. The #1 spot goes to the new one in TriBeCa. In dead last, Atlantic Mall in Downtown Brooklyn.Located in the East River Plaza, theres plenty of parking, livery cabs and the M116 bus. The semi-outdoor mall is home to a lot of other large format stores (Costco, Aldi, Burlington Coat Factory), which is why its located all the way down by the river but with no guy living in a van... maybe. Real estate prices dictate everything in Manhattan and youre just not going to get a suburban shopping experience in the city center. But this replicates what youll only find in the outer reaches of the outer boroughs or the real suburbs of Nassau County. The staff is pretty darn good for NYC. Some are super helpful and some are not. This location tends to swing more on the super helpful side. My most recent trip I had a lot of items to buy to get my $25 in coupons and $5 gift card. I needed more help than I even have before and they were all extremely friendly and led me right to the sections I needed rather than point at it and wish me luck in finding it on my own. I made out like a bandit that day. Thank God for my folding hand truck. Its a lifesaver. My only peeve is the number of broken self-service price checks. There never seem to be enough of them on a good day, a bunch of broken ones just makes it annoying.Theres a Starbucks and a Pizza Hut inside, but the Pizza Hut doesnt have full pies or Stuffed Crust so I ignore it like it doesnt exist. Man, what I would do for some Stuffed Crust....That doesnt take away from how good this Target is but boy would it make it 100% better.
They have the worst customer service EVER!!!! All the employees in there and the lines are ridiculously too long. If they would stop talking to each other then maybe lines can move. The young lady at the customer services totally disregarded me when I told her I had pictures to pick up just said they were not there instead of founding out from the lady who actually handles photos. I shop and ship online from now on save myself the headache.
Worst target Ive ever visited! Terrible customer service and management practically non existent. Always understaffed and employees are rude and dismissive in almost every instance. Constantly out of stock of basic items and very messy overall. Almost impossible to get a cart on weekends. You can tell that no one in corporate cares about this location.
I always enjoy my shopping experience at Target, and especially at the store in East Hatlem. In addition, it is most convenient for me and many of my New York friends and neighbors, as it is only one of two in Manhattan. I love that Target offers just about anything weather you’re looking for households goods, clothing, food, or electronics. It is marvelous to have this choice in Manhattan.
My experience @ this location was down right horrible!!!The people that Target hires are so negative!& rude ! This was my experience there today . & ps not my first bad experience there Im walking around the store trying to locate my items cause you cant ask for help in there most of them have atrocious attitudes!, so Im walking & a bunch of Target employees congregating in the Idles doing absolutely nothing started profilingme calling me names making fun of the I was dressed & the way I looked!!! Loud enough so they made sure I heard !!!! I was like WOW !!! Listening to these people just made me think!, How most people are ready to JUDGE YOU AT First GLANCE!!!Really says a lot about TARGET!!!! SHAME!!!!!!!! I WILL NOT EVER STEP Foot IN THAT TARGET AGAIN!!!
Absolutely horrible customer service. every time I call nobody ever picks the phone up. no matter what department I try to connect with. each department just lets the phone ring until the line disconnects automatically. I dont suggest ever calling them. Or even going there for that matter. Whats the point in driving or taking a subway or train all the way there for them just to not have what youre looking for. All this could be resolved if they just pick up the phone. The phone hangs up after ringing for 3 minutes & :52 seconds each time . Thats just highly unacceptable
I was trying to return four items. The guest services team member only refunded two of the items but took all four of the items from me. She told me that she refunded all of the items and I didnt realize the mishap until I was home. This took place at the Harlem Target on 11/20/2020 @ 11:51 AM.
**Very Long Story** Although they have lot of stuff to choose from. There prices are great too and some prices were like the other stores (non target). But Im sure all Target stores can relate to that. Today the lady who helped seemed friendly in general and she was quite helpful. But these 2 people the guy just couldnt take his eyes off me and was fussy about making me leave and well there are still customers at the registers. I was only looking quick at the details of something I pass by while I got to my cart and trying to leave. All the other associates werent like him. Watch out for the black guy with dark and light gray top with khaki pants. The problem is not this. **Note** that this is not the first time I was unhappy about the people who work there. So first time was few months ago maybe like 1 or 2 what happen was I really wanted a job. I seen the poster and before that I knew that they were hiring all locations. Ive always got use to paper applications and so wanted this specific Target to get my application. I called a location in queens she said that the stores have paper applications also. I was try to find application and the guy who work there told me to go to the Customer Service. *Customer Service* people is what I have a problem with. They say its online I told them a lady in Queens Target said I could do it on paper. I spoke to the manager because they thought she would know. The manager took me to the kiosk. As soon as we left they started *laughing ** about it. I saw them :/. Whats so funny about trying to apply? Then today my !!second!!* problem the boy who works there at the bus stop near the deli called me a under his breath looking the other way making sure I didnt see. His short girl friend was laughing. I saw what crazy ass?! The girl looked clueless. They kept giggling when I was looking somewhere else and looked at them they stopped miss giggle. There like little childern at that same damn Target because her and her friend boy were playing with Christmas wraps with ignorant Chinese ninja noises and she hit me intentionally like looked at me and HIT. They laughed at me and tried to hide their giggles. But theyre children. Did I mention this Target got some immature and rude sales people? He called me a Crazy Ass because I slipped on my own balance. I dont drink its just late night lack of concentration. *** Hes 55 about that height, black thin frames, sky blue pastel and African American guy. He saw me when he came out of work I guess in front of Target. I was waiting because a guy was getting the Supervisor about the lack of change. And let me tell you this is not the first time they gave me the wrong change its like theyre some type of crook. My mom gave me the change they were lacking that time. Wow! So today yes I waited for Supervisor. Every time a worker came out to go home they say theyre closed but the girl gave me wrong change. Could I also add that it was part of the Christmas gift I got money? There are some people in the target the gathering of associate some looked and ignore I got pissed. He didnt came back. The registers are closed they said theyre not going to open for 1 customer. Well when the guy was looking for Supervisor why couldnt that help me? So I have to go there tomorrow just for money change. He was with the fussy guy and he probably told what happen when they rode the escalator. Am I crazy for that? Or am I crazy for waiting my rightful change? Just like SONIA RAMPERSAUD who wrote a review here shes right they are quick to judge. How does that guy know Im crazy or not has he met me? Did I do something to him to make him act like that toward me? Yeah! A crazy ass -> me. Smh. They got some dumb, immature, and rude people working there. They are no better than the douchebags at time sq Shake Shack or 96st 3rd Rite Aid who have no respect for you as Customer after buying there product. If Im desperate like the office table like truly desperate Ill come. If not that most likely will be my FINAL VISIT. Good riddance.
Great service and selection. Not sure why so many reviews state this is the only Target in Manhattan (or 1 of 2 Targets, etc...) There are 5 Targets in Manhattan and there a more than 10 that are closely adjacent (across a river in NJ, Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn.) I think these people have never left their neighborhood on foot...lol.Added bonus are the other stores in the same complex with this Target, Burlington, Coat Factory, Aldi, Applebees, Bobs Discount Furniture, Costco, Marshalls, Old Navy, PetSmart, and Planet Fitness.
Honestly, who doesnt love Target? They literally have everything from clothes, to childrens toys, to books, and a wide variety of electronics. Also, unlike Walmart, they have more than two registers open. The clothing section is pretty organized as well, which is hard to find considering clothes are usually carelessly thrown about the isles.
I was helped today. I bought a rocker for my nursery but had no way to get it to my car as my husband was in class, and I was alone. I am 8 months pregnant with a particularly heavy baby boy. A friendly target staff member (female, about 5’1 with a dark complexion and bun) stayed with me while she radio’d a colleague to help me load the rocker onto a flatbed and purchase it. In comes Alvin. Alvin is AMAZING! Alvin put the rocker on the flatbed and guided me through self checkout. At self checkout, the rocker wouldn’t ring up because it was on clearance. We then went to guest services. Alvin navigated through heavy crowds with the rocker. After I purchased the rocker, Alvin helped me to the car. We tried to get the box into my car, which just wouldn’t fit. I opened the box and Alvin helped me load the rocker into my car. He was an absolute godsend, and a sweet person as well. His customer service skills are great. Alvin is truly an asset to the Target at East 117th street. The rest of the staff are great and patient as well. Thank you everyone! This mom to be is truly grateful.
Thank you! To all the workers in targets. Its very easy to comment on those days you yourselves are having a human day, then thank you all for the service you all together provide to help our dreams. May you all, from the top management, to the foundation that makes the BEST of target...have a very good day. THANK YOU ALL.
PLEASE HIRE MORE STAFF IN THE FOOD AREA! THEY ARE ALWAYS CLOSED AND WHEN THEYRE OPENED THEY DONT HAVE THE MAIN ITEMS. ITS VERY CLEAR THAT THE STAFF IS OVER WORKED AND TRYING TO KEEP IT TOGETHER ESPECIALLY THIS YOUNG LADY NAMED DENISE. SHES QUICK AND MAKES THE BEST DRINKS AND ALWAYS MAKES SURE EVERYONE ENJOYS THEIR DRINKS. SHES ALWAYS HELPING THINGS RUN SMOOTHLY EVEN WHEN THERES A LOT GOING ON. TWO STARS FOR THE LACK OF AND FIVE STARS FOR DENISE
Very cool place to shop, is super crowded on weekends but if you can handle that then this is the place for you!Always find everything that I am looking for and more. The only bad thing is cellular phone reception, I mean is terrible but other than that is a great place to shop.
Can get everything you need here, lines are way to long they defiantly need to hire more staff. Always go to the self checkout if you dont have a lot of stuff its quicker. Oh yea....Starbucks had a nat inside of their glass where the pastrys and cake pops are thats nasty. I really wanted a banana bread but um no.
Very unhelpful. I went in to go buy an AC and was told they were out, but would get a shipment in the next morning. The next morning I called and sure enough was told there were ACs and they werent allowed to give the price over the phone. I went in person to check it out and there were no ACs and told there was no shipment and there was nothing they could do. Now comes the good part. I called guest relations immediately to report my experience and was told that there WERE ACs in stock. He called the store, they put him on hold and told him they didnt have any when he had the computer right in front of him in the office telling him they did. He even admitted to the fact that the employees were dismissive and didnt even check. Too bad because this Target definitely has potential, given the location and the fact that its the only one in Manhattan.
I don’t remember how was the cashier I just remembered that the manager was rude like all the managers in target I scan a shoes on my phone and it says 5$ and on the store scan for 20$ she didn’t give it to me so it don’t make sense to have that option on the phone manager was rude. I’ll never recommend the store
Ive recently started shopping at this store and Im very impressed with the selection, prices and the layout. Being unfamiliar with the store Ive had to ask direction many times and the mostly young staff have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable about where items are located. In fact, when one is wandering around looking lost they ask if they can help. I dont live in the neighborhood, but my visit is worth the trip.
Great place to shop when you dont have time to go to different locations its like having a mini Walmart in NYC even though the prices are a little higher than Walmart. Every time I have an event I loss my mind in the $1/$3 section you can find great items for crafts , parties , gift baskets and out door events like BBQs
Pretty disappointing. Had a list of about 15 different things to buy and most of it was out of stock or there was only one piece of a set and not the other; for instance, curtains but only one curtain rod. After more of this I realized it wasnt worth the effort or the frustration so I left with nothing. I was really looking forward to having a Target right in my backyard, such a shame.
Waiting 30 minutes to get a TV that I want to buy is unacceptable, not only, employ that is here is saying to me that she dont need to help me, because is not her area (she from mobile) but then Erin, that didnt care that much, just came to charge my card and dont give a [email protected]/ about my complain. I dont recommend at all to buy electronics in this target, his department is awful
I was so happy when Target opened in Manhattan, even though I live downtown and it is a major ordeal to get there without a car. I went recently and boy has it changed. It looks much less appealing, the shelves look disheveled badly, and the merchandise quality seems to have dropped dramatically. Aldis is opening their first Manhattan store in the same complex soon, so Ill go back to the area. Hope Aldis starts with same bang Target did and keeps the quality up.
Target should relocate somewhere else in Manhattan. Anywhere else!! I like Target, but the East Side Plaza really is the wrong place. It is hard to get to, and in the winter, really difficult to shop at. Also, all the stores which usually are in good elsewhere in the city (i.e. Old Navy) are in really bad shape. How about moving to the UWS? I am sure we can find you a great location!!
The employees are mostly busy...I DIDNT experience any negativities with employees but i went yesterday and today... the shelves where poorly stalked n there is no varity snacks, n the shelves are bare.. and there is a poor selection and display of games, gameing systems, infant males clothing, the displays and stock is all misplaced n unorganized the displays are messy u find they are broken badly, n half eaten food will be all over...I love my targets but damn this one really😔i think you should reevaluate your employees.hope it improves soon..117th Mall Manhattan...SMH A REAL 😔🤔
Came to get a t.v tried to charge me 60 more dollars for a smaller t.v. Found one bigger and better myself. Asked another rep for help while he was standing around bouncing a beach ball off his head. Pointing to the price instead of coming around the desk and helping.
Terrible wait times. I went in to buy a pair of flip flops as my shoes were soaked from a rainy day at a music festival. Waited 15 minutes to get to the checkout, just to be told the flip flops were an online only item, and I would need to go to the customer service desk to buy them. Went to the customer service desk, waited another 20 minutes and decided it wasnt even worth it.
It was some big fat girl just chilling on her phone not doing anything I was asking for assistance and she was just looking at me like I was dumb like she couldnt comprehend and this was in the electronic section by the register I was looking for chargers and most of the stuff there you need the employee to help you take things out using their key she was just staring at me rolling her eyes . Next time I came another fat girl did just about the same thing please hire people that work and like their jobs smh bad for business
The employees have nasty attitudes especially customer service desk and starbucks... They are very unprofessional holding inappropriate conversations in ear distance of customers... I would recommend hiring more professional employees that reflect positive attitudes on the company
Was asked to leave because my dog that was in a dog bag was an issue highly upset me and my significant other will not be coming back to target and it seemed shady because the security officer didnt approach us he waved us over and whispered that we should leave because of the dog now if the policy was as so why did he not want anyone els hearing the rules was he making it up I dont know but it was handled very poorly there were other dogs visible why where they not asked to leave I would have even waited outside but nope we were silly asked to leave I guess target doesnt like paying customers I will be telling all my friends in the area to not shop there because this was truly unfair

2022-03-01I was just at Target a couple of days ago, it was my second time ever shopping at Target and a young lady named Breanna took very well care of me. She was very kind and extremely patient when I was having difficulty with my bank, she made my embarrassing and frustrating moment better with her sense of humor and understanding. There was a really long line behind me and she did not rush me, or get frustrated. It brought me great comfort. I will be coming back to shop at this target, their staff is amazing!!!

2022-04-17What I like the most in Target, is how the staff is always friendly and polite. Hope it continues the way it is. The pickup up experience is effective and faster. I always have a good time shopping in this store.

2022-04-20A big shout out to Julio and Keon for their exceptional customer service!!I stopped by the East Harlem location to pick up a carpet cleaner but was disappointed to find that the last available item was seemingly out of stock.I walked up to Keon and he quickly researched stock availability and retrieved one from the stock room for me. He also pointed in the direction of Julio for a speedy check out.Julio also went out of his way to guide me through the wallet app and he ensured that I received the $15 discount available from the weekly circular.I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and professionalism.

2022-04-29My grandma and I were in Target on Wednesday 4/27/2022. We only had 95 dollars to spend on our EBT. We let the lady, Breanna, (My third time getting her) know that we COULD NOT past the 95 dollars. She was very kind and understanding, She even did a price adjustment to help us save some money and the bill came up to 40 dollars in some change.Unfortunately, our EBT was not working and we couldn’t get none of our food. So my grandma payed for just the watch she wanted. My grandma even asked if Breanna could put the correct time on her watch, and Breanna did it without a problem. Everytime i get this young lady she is so sweet!Im giving four stars only because When we came back and tried to use our EBT, the cashier, britney, was extremely rude. We put our items on her register asking if she can do what Breanna did for us with the price, she said she didn’t feel like it and if we wanna do that to go to a different register. Breanna passes by and tells britney after us to cover i guess another workers area. she told breanna she’s not taking us that we have to go to self check out if we wanna pay.WHOMEVER hired britney needs to be fired right along with her!

2022-04-05I am disgusted at the atrocious service thatI received at this location. I had a receipted return, evidenced only by the Target app and because I did not have my state ID (which was lost) and only my Federal ID -EBT card, nor was my wife’s State ID sufficient despite her being my shopping partner- I was denied a return. Even after contacting Corporate at the Managers suggestion- and Corporate suggesting that :The manager of Target was in the wrong -Albert - the manager - was belligerent, nasty, provocative to such a degree that his own employees had to pull him back from conversing further.I truly feel that this was a perverse act geared toward the LGBTA crowd as well as those that are of lower income, because the EBT is a federally recognized Identification. I will never ever be going there again.

2022-04-06Met the most unprofessional and uneducated workers inside this Target.Marie Alexis dragged her feed walking to Arthur after I asked for a manager for help after 30min. Arthur made up a story or simply didn’t understand my request as to why I needed a manager. Marie as she applied chapstick our whole 3min Interection. She dismissed me as she mumbled and walked away saying she couldn’t talk to me cause I wasn’t listening. Sad to see your manager at night is Trash.

2022-04-15I purchased a playstation 5 online for pick up at a this location. I was on my way to pick it up and they canceled it.. I called customer service to complain. They could not help me.. Horrible experience.. I have been trying to buy this item for more than a year, I was excited that I finally got it, and they canceled it.

2022-05-02Would just like to give a HUGE shout out to Breanna and the manager Frankie. I was in target yesterday and purchased a skateboard and struggled to take the plastic off of the wheel. Frankie tried with scissors but the plastic was way too stubborn. Breanna ends up going to one of the aisle to get a wrench and brings it over to Frankie and he was able to help me take it off! They seriously went all out for me when they didn’t have too.. thank you Frankie and Breanna!!

2022-03-08I wish this target was a bit more upgraded from the other targets that have been to, like for example this target does not have an Ulta Beauty section. Their food section is usually out of stock and they don’t have enough variety either.
