Target in other cities:
This is another mini Target. It has just about everything you need from Pillows to Groceries and much easier to find because of smaller size. What I love is that you can have stuff shipped to your house or to any Target store. I just bought one thing I needed from the Target 34th and the rest I will have shipped to my house or to any Target. ☺️
Horrible. I should have done a online exchange instead of in store exchange. cashier and her helper(I assume manager) was not helpful and disappear after their mistake. They ended up doing a RETURN instead of EXCHANGE. Manager told me to rebuy at current price($12 more than my purchase price) and now I am item-less as he couldnt do anything. Manager(John) told me it is a TWO WEEK EXCHANGE POLICY IF I WANTED TO MATCH MY PURCHASE PRICE and said 90 day is for returns only. Which is know is not true. Completely untrained.EDIT: Spoke with Target customer service rep on the phone. It should have been a 1:1 Exchange. They was able to ship one to me at my original purchase cost. Only thing lost was MY TIME.
Came here today and was very blatantly followed by the middle aged black security/loss prevention guy with glasses around the store. Which is unacceptable and bizarre considering the fact that the shelves are mostly empty. Great way to make innocent customers feel welcome. Disgusting.
Honestly not a lot of people know this is a TARGET EXPRESS and it has gotten a lot of bad reviews due to the fact that it is small, has limited items, and the lines are long. Let me break it down for you.We are in manhattan, in a prime area for every New Yorker and tourist and have you seen how small the building is from outside? It WILL be crowded it WILL be long lines and it WILL have limited stock. Why? Because it is EXPRESS only a few everyday items. But the staff accommodates it by trying to get the lines moving as quickly as they can. They stock the shelves AS customers are shopping. And when you can’t find an item they go to the back and look for it.People complain about the line out the door. If your on the line it’s literally a less than 5min wait to get from the front door to the actual checkout. If you thought a Tiny store with a few registers were going to be “fast” then you should go to your nearest bodega and not there. Also people have complained about the registers only being on the first floor. If you go down stairs there is no place for these registers. Would you rather have an even more LIMITED stock of item just to TRY and get out the store faster ? No.And the codes for the bathroom that everyone complained about. Would you rather the bathroom be free to every homeless person to go and take showers in the sink? Or would you go for a cleaner than the average McDonald’s bathroom ?All I’m saying is this target is not bad and doesn’t deserve all the negative reviews it has gotten. The staff is friendly and we have a good selection of things to choose from. But one thing the staff will not take your attitude. They pride themselves on having a smile and be friendly but when you come off as a mean grinch you’ll get your smiles (maybe) but you definitely won’t get the 5 star service you could have gotten. Other than that this store is not the fast paced people would want but it is convenient and cheap. Please don’t leave your items randomly around the store. Those sock do not belong next to the Oreos. If you don’t want it give it to them at the checkout, they literally have people who will put it away, don’t make the job harder just because you were too lazy to walk back to where you got it.
The best grocery store for daily supplies and household goods in Manhattan! Some prices is even lower than in LIC. Dont panic when you see a long waiting line, it actually moves really fast. Check the price on Target website and ask for price match if the price of an item online is lower than the price on the shelf.
Lots of empty shelves. I went to grab a couple more clothing items for my trip in NYC and everything was very picked over in that area. Otherwise it was decently convenient. Heads up that in the self checkout lanes, you bag your stuff with their reusable bags and then select how many you used to pay for them. I didn’t realize that so I bought a nicer reusable bag they sold. They don’t do that in the state I’m in so I was a little caught off guard.
It’s pretty clean, I always see the employees cleaning or stocking. There are also store securities walking around which makes me feel safe. Self-checkout is super efficient. The biggest downside to this location is it has been very low on stock the past few times I’ve been over the last month. Hopefully they’ll start restocking soon. Some aisles honestly just look so empty. The pharmacist I saw seems like they didn’t wanna be there, but everyone has their off day so I’m hoping that that’s just a one time thing.
The shelves are constantly empty or not fully stocked in the beauty/shampoo department. There is always a long line for check out. It used to be a dependable target store but now since the pandemic there stock and quality has decreased dramatically. I avoid going to this target unless absolutely necessary.
They changed their hours and now, I (along with probably thousands of other working professionals nearby) cannot go here. I used to come 2-4 mornings/ week to pick up items for breakfast or lunch. Now that they changed the hours it’s completely inaccessible for me.Not sure WHY they did this. I heard a rumor that it was from all the shoplifting, but I can tell you that folks who shoplift are NOT going to be deterred by the change in hours. Conversely, they have just limited access to many actual paying customers that work nearby.
I used to be able to find everything I needed until a month ago when all of a sudden things became out of stock and no one has a clue as to when they will be restocked. Aside from that, its a nice store and quite organised. My major gripe is that throughout the entire pandemic it was conveniently open at 7AM and now it opens 2 hours later unlike other Targets in Manhattan...
This target somehow nestled between 34th and 33rd street down the block from Penn station and Herald Square! Not as huge as your standard Target and slightly larger footprint than your Target Express! Definitely a midtown treasure that Penn Stations Kmart used passes the flame on to for a convenient all in one shopping experience complete with a pharmacy, electronics section, clothing and your standard Touristy over priced New York Branded Souvenirs! Definitely worth a visit to see what this gem has for you
I usually dont come to this location but my item was not available at other location so I had to come here to pick up my order. First they got the wrong item then i asked them to return it. They return it but did not give me any receipt for return or any confirmation email. They asked me to wait while they looking up for my receipt. I am writing this review while waiting. I would never come to this location again. Very disappointed. They charge my card for nothing, very very much disappointed. I am leaving now and they did not give me my money back or no receipts that i returned it.
I like the dollar section that they have on the main floor, you can find some useful stuff and good quality for cheap. Iam also a big fan of their Greek Gods honey vanilla yogurt. It would be helpful if they sold Vitamin Water XXX at this location, $5 for six pack is a good deal
Missing half of the outdoor sofa I ordered online that was In Stock and supposed to be delivered in a couple weeks. After 1 MONTH, several calls and emails with customer service, I finally get a new tracking number with this response: Vendor also recommended, to please allow anywhere from up to 14-21 business days (for tracking information to become active). So I now suppose the missing half might come in maybe another month or two?? Ive gotten better customer service from Walmart, Wayfair, even Amazon. Why would I ever order from target again?
Around July, Anthony, in the electronics section has always assisted me we great insight on the new products instock. A gentlemen named Kelvin from tge same department, took time off the clock to helped me activate my track phone. My apoloy for the late review. Thank you.
Target used to be on top of things when it came to Covid. My last visit, no one was enforcing social distancing. They need to reposition the counters, the line, or the machines because theyre not making full use of all the self-checkout machines. Maybe flip them around or something. The store experience is great because its got that standard target look. The space isnt being used effectively though. The dairy section is cramped into the fruit and vegetable section. The space in the back of the store downstairs, the entrance, and the upstairs cooler section are being wasted. Target corporate could learn a few more tricks from large chain groceries.
Good offers and easy shopping.During the Covid time, they dont say that unvaccinated people wearing a mask are less likely to spread the virus as vaccinated people who do not wear a mask do. So many other places do this.Mask required for everyone. This statement states what I wrote above.Im glad Target respects the vaccinated.
Fair prices. Online pickup is fast and easy to complete. The self-checkout machines were a great addition. The cartwheel app is great. However, I wish that select stores would update their inventory to match what they market online VS in-store. Many times I find myself wasting time because they have advertised items as in store but when you get there, they were never sold there to begin with.
Target ExperiencePros:-Great Location conveniently next door to all sorts of shopping, entertainment, transport, restaurants and attractions-Fast Self CheckoutCons:-One of the smallest Target stores so it felt quite overcrowded-Understaffed and hard to find Associates to assist with anything-Disorganized and lots of misplaced items-limited variety in their products, clothing and goods-Lack of an Electronics department.Overall disappointed with This particular Target store. The Location may be wonderful, but the brand standard arent met.
I came here on a Friday morning around 11am.I came mostly for the food and produce section. The produce was organized and clean. Clementines are in season and were cheaper here than most places. It was a pretty good time to go. Not crowded, and checkout line was short. They really emphasize the self checkout at this location, which is fine. There are enough attendants to help out.I had a coupon I wanted to use, so I knew I would need assistance.I scanned my items and then asked for help to scan the coupon. The coupon wouldn’t scan or process correctly, but the attendant honored it anyway, which I really appreciated. He manually entered the coupon discount. This location can get crazy busy, as it’s in the center of midtown. And the checkout line can be insane sometimes, but overall this target has done a good job of managing.
The ordering experience on the website and the app is a mess. There are lots of fulfilment options that are marked available or not for seemingly no reason:- Some items are marked available in store, but cant be added to a store pick up order.- Some items can be shipped to my home, but cant be shipped to the store where I already am going to pick up an order- Some items are marked available in store, but are not actually available there, and employees say that its common that the website is out of sync with actual inventory. All this makes for a very jarring experience, where it is easy to find items I would like to buy, but I spend 3-4 times as long to figure out how to get them.Thats a shame because Targets network of stores would make its order pickup feature really convenient. But execution is really not good yet.
I am sure that Target has high reputation but this specific outlet requires an upgrade. The escalators were not working for the entire time I was there (approx 40 minutes). I got misdirected by the staff a couple of times about the product location and pricing. If you are standing at the help/security dais at the entrance and approached by a customer - I would not expect you to look away when a customer approaches you. There is a huge scope of improvement when it comes to customer service. I had a very good time shopping with the fellow customers and I must say that Target has a very good customer base :) Hope Target transforms the customer-employee experience soon :)
Why does this store even exist first of all they have tha hood stuff for kids and some cool shirts for adults but other then that this place is really boring , no real toys they have a limited selection , besides that there is nothing for adult men I didnt buy anything but Naurato & Dragon Ball Z shirts , dont waste ur time ,big store that doesnt have nothing u will only frustrate urself.
This rating is strictly for Order Pickup. I did an online order for my husband to pick up as he was traveling through this location. Unfortunately, upon receiving the order, I had problems with three items. Firstly, a box of organic baby cereal bars was over a month expired before I had placed the online order. Secondly, a cosmetic item had clearly been opened and tampered with, as evidenced by the half-opened safety seal. Thirdly, a package of baby cereal puffs was completely missing from the order. The online form says there are no available actions to be taken for any of the items in my order, and after I contacted the online chat they sent me on a goose chase insisting I call additional telephone numbers for various departments (product expiry department, etc.) to report the issues. In addition, I had 1/3 of my items cancelled because they were no longer in stock. Ive had no trouble with Order Pickups at other locations, but this lack of service and mishandling of orders is unacceptable.
I live close by so I shop at this Target at least twice a week. Staff are readily available and helpful. While checkout lines can get long, it moves quickly and helps if you pay by credit or debit. Its a good alternative to nearby, more expensive, grocery stores for basic grocery items and even has a limited produce selection and beer/wine. However, they often have trouble keeping some items such as fresh meats and dairy. Hopefully, this problem will be short-lived as the location matures.
I went to this location today and I absolutely shocked. One of the employee was eating tangerines(small orange)at work while holding clothes. (I don’t want to buy any shirts with citrus stain. :( ) gross. Employees were chatting each other, laughing, and talked about a customers behind the back very loud. (It’s not back room. It’s not nice to hear) lots of employees are chatting each other and not helpful.I normally go to Queens Target but it wasn’t like this. I love target, shop online all the time and visit different location.but today I was shocked. They might need good manager.
I am not a regular Target customer and don’t live close enough to any of the stores. But I recently got Target gift cards and need to use them. I have tried a couple of times but could only once find the sale items I was looking for. Finally this week (June 16-22, 2019) they have Breyers ice cream on sale. I stopped at Herald Square and then at Kips Bay store Friday afternoon, June 21. Neither of them had the ice cream. Today is the last day of the sale. I’ve just called both stores. Herald Square has 12 boxes of chocolate flavor which will be gone before I leave my house. Kips Bay doesn’t have any and advised me to call back after 2:00 pm. And though the managers and other employees were really nice and helpful, there is nothing they can really do. Target doesn’t offer rain checks. So I guess this will be the end of my another failed attempt to shop at Target.
I was thrilled when Target moved into my neighborhood. The produce area alone made the trip worth while.I went in there almost everyday. I probably spent between $100-$200 per week buying groceries and other items. Then a few months ago I was approached by security to say I could not return with my dogs that were in a stroller. My dogs thought small are service dogs. I promptly left the store and did not return again until 3 weeks ago. I needed to pick something up and my dogs were with me in the closed stroller. When I was approached by security I explained my dogs were service dogs and I would be in there for only a few minutes. The guard asked me to wait and then returned not with one store manager but with 4 other people who surrounded me. One angrily told me I was told several times the dogs were not welcome in the store. I explained that I was told once months ago. I again explained they were service dogs which the employees ignored. They retorted that I was welcome in the store but my dogs were not. The employees do not seem to understand that as service dogs, I do not leave the house without them/ Needless to say, I have not been back since.
My order was ready in 10 mins, this is very quick, even faster than I shop myself, which is exactly what customer needs. Target is really getting better, so much different than a few years ago. And they have everything you need at cheaper price and convenient location.
Some employees are absolutely rude for no reason!!The guy directing the checkout line didn’t know what he was doing and put a whole bunch of people who were paying card in the cash line to the registers. When it was my turn, the cashier who was open was rude and refused to check me out because I was in the wrong line even though it wasn’t even my fault. I tried to explain it to her, and she just ignored me and started talking to the people behind me.Even if I had gotten in the cash line accidentally (because I highly doubt people get in the wrong line for the sole purpose of annoying cashiers), she had the capability to ring me up (yes that’s what that card machine is for). I only had one item so it would of taken less than 3 minutes. There was no reason to have an attitude and be so disrespectful, pig headed, and unreasonable over something that was an easy fix. Will be getting my things elsewhere from now on.Only giving two stars because another employee was nice enough to ring me up.
Hello, I hold Target to a high standard, and this experience I encountered was really ridiculous. I know you guys expect your workers to represent your company in the best way that they possibly can. Which, made me decide to leave a review and let you guys know. Target is a store that I shop at for everything, no matter the department. From baby products to cosmetic items. The other day early morning (7am), I came in and could not find a particular item so I needed assistance. I saw a male with the name tag Darvel, so decided to call him over! Not only did he not greet me with a proper welcoming, but you could see he was upset. I understand it was really early, but I do not think that was necessary, since I am the customer. He made me feel so uncomfortable like I was bothering him, and he did not show no type of positive customer service. He was very rude, which made me walk out!, and never want to shop at another Target ever again! I am very disappointed, but I thank you guys for your previous business, but moving forward I will pass, and will let my family, and friends know the same!
So was always a fan of Target until I heard of there return policy if you dont have receipt with you. Because i did two return valued over thirty dollars with no receipt I can return anything unless I have an even number amount to exchange it with. After two return you wont be allowed to get s gift card and you must purchase something with an equal value or close and it has to be one item at time. Basically I wasnforved to purchase something anything close to that sum if I want to have it return and not have my time wasted. Pitiful I was forced to but random stuff just too satisfy there policy and now Im stuck with items that Im going to return anyway. Worthless and not effecient
Target has just about everything that I could ever need for any given reason. I have gotten things at target that I didn’t expect to be able to get without having to travel farther. Things that made my life easier. A quick sympathy card for a coworker, last minute supplies for a trip to Japan and all the normal stuff like hair products and I even got a mini backpack for my trip. Target is amazing!
Target at 34th street is a mini Target, so they dont have nearly the selection a regular Target has, but I have found that the grocery selection they have is pretty decent. When I lived in the area, I shopped here pretty often. The line can get INCREDIBLY long, so be patient, because its in the heart of tourist central.
You might think that a Target in Midtown would be chaos, and youd only be wrong because the workers there are very quick, efficient, and courteous. Just needed to stop in for a online pick-up order on a Sunday, and I was in and out in around 5 minutes. Appreciate the service!
Service here is completely amazing. I had lost my wallet and I was visiting places I had gone to before I noticed my wallet was gone. They looked in lost and found and this worker said she contacted the person that handles the secure safe on the floor downstairs. They were taking so long she said she’d go herself and when she came back with no wallet she apologized and offered to check the security cameras. The security guard was super nice, understanding when I told him I didn’t know the exact time, he even showed me the footage to see if I even had my wallet. It turned out that I lost it somewhere else and when I apologized for the mix up, they said that it was fine and didn’t complain. Great workers!*I found my wallet at Kyoro Shop who’s service was also spectacular if you were wondering.
One of the worst targets I have ever been to. Employees couldnt help me figure out what was wrong with my Red card, payed with alternative method now am unable to receive my 5% discount after being on hold with target customer service for > 6 hours. Card canceled, lost customer for life.
The lines are so long in the evenings that its impossible to check out. Most of the time I end up not buying anything as I dont have a half hour to spare just standing around. They need to put in in more registers. Whats the point of having a decent selection or prices (which they sort of do, not a lot of produce, decent toiletry selection) when you cant actually buy the things?
I really love this store. I live in Nyc but Im closer to the Bronx but I go to the target in Manhattan. The store is clean and spacious and the staff is friendly. Ill keep coming here...The target in the bronx is much bigger then the Target in Manhattan it has a huge toy selection. And in general has more food and more of everything else. Only thing is you need to find the right time to go. Because youll be on the check out line for 30 min or more. As the lines will be winding around the aisles.
This location only has 1/4 of the usual inventory of a normal sized target and that goes for everything from clothes to toiletries. Both escalators were shut down and customers were only allowed to walk down one and had to go up using the elevator...it was so bad that there were two lines. One to check out and one to go downstairs where everything is. Definitely not worth going to unless you are picking up an online order. This target is so bad that I like the DMV more.
I do avoid this target if I can, but its the only one thats centrally located in Manhattan.I love Target as they usually have the friendliest and most helpful associates. But I needed to get a pre-paid SIM phone card and went into the electronic section. I wasnt sure what the difference was in all the cards so asked the associate tending to the electronics and after explaining my situation he unlocked the shelf and gave me the card he said would be perfect for me. After I went home, I realized it was the wrong one as this card didnt even have a SIM, just a refill card for a provider I didnt even have. I trekked all the way back and waited in the long line to return to find out that I couldnt even return it. I think the reps who work in specific sections need better training - if he didnt know what was the best card, I would have done the proper research before buying the card, but he assured me it was the correct one for my situation.
Prices are very reasonable for the middle of Manhattan, only slightly higher if any than that of the suburban stores. Very new, lots of self checkouts instead of traditional cashiers. Layout is good, spread between two floors with more grab/go and checkouts on ground floor. Basement level, which is the majority of the store, is much smaller than a typical (not Manhattan) store but the selection is still seller, and groceries are great, at prices much better than area supermarkets.
This is a fairly large Target location for Manhattan...because it stretches from 34th st to 35th street.there is a street level floor and basement level via escalator or elevators. the location looks fairly clean and organized for the amount of foot traffic that comes through it. most electronics, toys, and grocery items are in the basement. the street level has a variety of items and a large checkout area. it can get a little cramped because of the crowds--lots of tourists + locals. my advice is shop via the Target app and do the pick up here.came here to pick up a Christmas gift that i ordered via the Target app and it was a breeze. online pick up is on the first floor, past checkout. just let the staff scan your Target app bar code for the item and they bag it and hand it over to you. super duper easy. in fact, this store handled the Black Friday/CyberMonday rush well. there was security and staff everywhere and no madness.bonus points for carrying Sapporo beer!the staff is helpful and friendly.drops mic cuz this store is on target
The last 2 times I have bought cheese at this store, Ive arrived home only to find it is moldy. first I got the good & gather brand, mold. then I figured Id spend more to avoid mold and get sargento - also moldy. gross. will not be buying grocery items at this target ever again. disgusting.
As a makeup lover, I can definitely appreciate the sephora-type set up for their affordable brand makeup. Its a bit on the empty side but what can you really expect from a target that located on 34th street. Im sure people are checking out faster than the employees can stock the shelves. Love the self check out line. Makes checking out simple and quick.
This is an extremely small Target. Although it has a bit of everything, the selection is small. However, they usually have what I am looking for. It is in an extremely convenient location. The line to pay was almost out the door. The staff were directing the customers so the line wait was not that long.
The keypad locks on the restrooms are annoying. Asking customers to find an employee to let them in is unacceptable. Other than that its really well stocked and most items are easy to find. But having all the registers on the top level is a bad idea because the lines get very long. Registers need to be on the lower level.
Its in a small store format. Expect alot of people, this is right at 34th St and there are allot of people. If you intend to buy fresh poultry here, get here early as they are usually sold out of chicken early. Prices for the produce are on the higher side. Overall a great store but the prices reflect the locale.
The item i picked up was used. I ordered a contigo water bottle. The bottle itself was new no scratches, but the cover was visibly used. It had dents, it even had some residue on the inside. I wasnt able to inspect the item until i got home. Very disappointed. My fault for not inspecting, I was expecting more from target.
This is a brand new Target store in the heart of Midtown Manhattan on 34th Street across the street from Macys. There are two floors and most of the store is located in the basement. This store is not as large as some of the Target superstores, but it is very well stocked and is very convenient. The new and mostly young crew are very helpful. There is a large market with lot of fresh and frozen food as well as boxed and canned food. There is also a large pharmacy. The prices are very reasonable. I am happy to have this store in Midtown.
Im happy to see Target have thoughtful recycling service. However, June 10th night , 2019, the fat woman at pick up station, horrible horrible staff. Im recycling plastic bottles, she asked me to do this do that, I followed, but she said, give way to the next customer, and just let me waiting there. Excuse me?! Unbelievable, Im not customer when recycling?! Very very rude person!!
Grocery store run for work and could not find maraschino cherries until I stumbled upon this sleek building with a target sign. Low and behold its a target or Target if your fancy. This location will also share a Traders Joe that I believe will operate on the lower level. The biggest sections of the store is dedicated to grocery and cosmetics/ health. So that should tell you this isnt your regular Target where you can buy a 55 inch and some tide pods more along the lines of a Whole Foods 360 like a diet Target.
Visiting NYC with a 3 year old. We went against every advise to buy a stroller. Bad idea. NYC is fast and her little legs can’t keep up. Target sells Cosco strollers for $20! One of the associates helped us open it once we bought it. All we wanted her to do was cut the zip tie and box but she went ahead and also put it together for us! So sweet!
I was looking for some dishware and didnt see the samples, I tried to open one box to see and an employee(a color person, female) which I didnt bother check at her name yelled at me with a very bad attitude come on man! And I was like what? This is how people train customer service staff? I ended up buying it bc I wanted it, just wanted to make sure is was that one.
OK so for some reason the targets in Manhattan are all pop ups with very little merchandise of each name brand. Ive gone in many times looking for a specific item on sale or not and just cant find it. TARGET, you need to focus on what the people are saying when it comes to your availability of merchandise. I usually go to CVS and get the same item I could of bought at target. Good prices on beer though. Oh and the bathroom code to this store is... 3810
I love target, it’s a great place to walk around and shop! But I had a horrible experience in this target. It was almost closing time, I was indecisive on what to buy, so I went back to where I picked up a dress cause I wasn’t sure about it and I wanted to leave it where I found it. I decided I was gonna buy it, then this woman that works there came up behind me and my boyfriend and said in a loud voice “you’re not supposed to be back here, we’re closing!” I was surprised at the way she spoke to us. I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to be there.. she could’ve handled that a different way, maybe say “excuse me, but we’re closing soon, you can’t be here at this section at moment cause this section is closing” something a long those lines. But she screamed at me and my boyfriend.. we didn’t trespass, we were just shopping.. I was appalled, I told her that we were just putting back the dresses where they belong, something not a lot of people do, and I got screamed for doing so. Then she said “well okay, but you can’t be here”.. again with the loud voice and attitude, mind you that I was in a section very close to the cashiers, I walked away, and left everything there, I no longer wanted to buy anything, I said “no need to be rude!” As I walked away in dissapointment and anger. Will continue to buy at target but will always remember the rudeness of that associate..
The line to wait to check out is way too long. Often price at cash register are higher than Target app, need to wait and call staff to make adjustments. Wait time for an team member to help is excessive. Very hard to find staff to help on the floor too, and the line for in-store pick up is also very long.
The store was free of crowds on late morning Sunday. However, the selection was extremely limited for pretty much everything in every department. Barely any toddler clothing, limited toys, and kids snacks. We grabbed a few things one of which was a toy and upon checking out, I quickly price checked on my iphone and instantly saw that it was advertised for $10 less on targets website. I mention this to staff and his answer was, oh sorry, it does that sometimes. Hmm ok...charge $10+ more to unassuming customers so they can pay the exorbitant rent in Manhattan? Right. He overrode the price without question.
I love this target is so convenient, I work near Herald square, anything I need I find it at target, even when the line is huge is still goes fast, but that is because they have more self check out, and the team members at target are also friendly can get any better then that.
I have a $175 giftcard for target which I was trying to buy disney gift cards with to pay off my disney vacation and their system is not allowing me to. This is something that I have done in the past but they have since then changed their policy. Its very irritating. There is also no where on their edisney giftcard page which states that you are not able to pay with target giftcards. I did not learn until I got to checkout that you were not able to do this. In this day and age with retailers going out of business you would think they would be more accommodating to consumers and flexible with their policy towards redeeming items using their own store giftcard.
It’s what you expect in Midtown Manhattan - long lines, smaller layout, and tons of confused tourists. I stopped in one day after work to avoid some of the Herald Square subway rush hour. The escalators downtown hardly ever work whether it’s Target or some other store. If you are in the area and need a snack or some emergency cosmetics I would suggest you go here. Don’t expect friendly staff. If using self checkout it’s best to have a credit card because the machines do not take cash. The 2 stars are for proximity to public transit and having a clean store.
As a blind person, I was very unhappy with my experience at this location and will not return! Told by an associate that this location does not stock men’s gloves, parkas or mufflers! If true, highly disturbing and if false even worse!!! People at the Bronx location are much more helpful.
Is it ethical to gouge your customers in manhattan because you think we can afford higher prices since we live here? In order to get the price advertised anywhere else here, Target requires you find the exact corresponding item on their site and present it as a price match at checkout. This isnt even legal, let alone ethical. As a side note, your store layout needs an overhaul... The current setup is inefficient and inventory Control likely very difficult
I bought a lamp and a peice was missing, after an hour on the phones they didn’t want to send me the missing peice and suggested I lug the assembled lamp at my own cost back to their store for an exchange. Their product was defective but they treat you like a criminal.
I feel very disappointed and embarrassed. i drove to this specific target to buy my daughter a very special birthday present she had asked for ( barbie house) i entered the store and asked for help and was directed kindly downstairs but when i got there i asked this young man named edwin for help he just stared at me and said something to his fellow team member and they started laughing at me..he continued speaking in spanish and laughing at me, i have down syndrome, i get enough stares everywhere i go..i kindly asked him again and he just brushed me off and said he was on his lunchbreak. i have never felt so embarrassed and humiliated.. i quickly left the store and never plan on coming back..i know that for 1 team member the entire store should not be bashed but.. it is important to speak to your workers about diversity...profiling...discrimination and professionalism.. i will be filing a complaint report.. my holidays have been ruined.
This target is smaller than other targets. Everything is hard to locate but after a couple of minutes, it feels like any other target. Most of the store is in the basebamt but the registers are on the first floor. The best thing about this target is its location. Easy yo access and the train station is nearby.
It is pretty small compared to other Targets, less choise of dinnerware, cooking ware and other home applies I was looking for. But I was pleased with the prices for food. Surprisingly for me you can find organic and good brands (like Fage, Arthurs king flour, Bobs red mill flour etc) at very cheap price. Philadelphia cream cheese is only 2,39$ Best price in the city! ) but if you want more assortment, choose Target in Brooklyn.
Worst target Ive been to. Dirty staff doesnt care about their customers. Literally watched staff deny a women with a crying baby to use the washroom to change them as well as staff cut in front of her to use the bathroom themselves. Very little stock and products to offer. Also theyre selling Nova Scotia shot glasses in their tourism area.
I had bought a carseat at this location paid in Cash but then realized i couldnt use it. When I attempted to return the product WITH the receipt WITHIN 2 days they refused to accept the return!! The staff was rude and unhelpfull, they even admitted the error was on their part yet still didnt help me!!!!!!! The staff and mánagers need retraining!!!!
Horrible customer service. Tried to buy a travel sized deodorant in self checkout. It didnt have a upc/barcode. Asked employee for help, was told I guess you cant buy it. Why is the self check card Only? Every place else seems to be able to take cash at self checkout.Next time Ill go to Duane Reed.Complete opposite of my last trip to Wal-Mart where employees were more then happy to do a price check. To sell me more stuff, because you know, they are a retailer.
No respect to veterans..today I went with my husband he is in active military..we saw they had veteran 15%off today so we went for shopping..at the end while checkout the guy said (may be he is manager not sure ) offer is only online 🤷♀️..and left my all stuff there he didnot care .....it’s not just about money it’s about respect..if he want he can give some discount because I know how they can manage in register ...at last store setting and all clothing and everything was good except that....
Be carful buying meat from here twice they sold me spoiled meat that looked fresh and hadn’t passed expiration date .....first was hamburger it reeked then two months later I gave it a second chance and got spoiled bacon I opened the bacon within an hour of buying it because I live close it was deadIt looked fresh but it’s spoiled
I went to 34st.target i shop got some food on sale all looked good.into i went to pay a young light skin 👧 was rude had a bad arttude i ask in a nice manner please can you double check if what i got is on sale.she said when i bring it all up i will tell you.my issue is how she said it very rude.i said forget dont tell me just bring it up please.and yes i was mad becuse i am on a budget.
Their delivery service is the worst. Ordered something that was delayed due to a winter storm, and then they cancelled my order because I never responded to an action? I reordered it, which was once again delayed, but this time I clicked to continue my order. The day my delayed order shouldve arrived Target sent me an email cancelling my order.
The store location and the most of the workers where really helpful but i witness many of the so called managers be not so helpful and demanding at the most the way the speak and conduct themselves is very wrong a disrepectful to the workers i witness one specific guy pick on this girl and she was working really hard really doin her best target is not a highschool and the way u run a business is very important if i was the boss i would of fired him

2022-06-18Clothes are very pretty, and some of the associates are polite but the lady who qas in charge of the fitting room took FOREVER to RESPOND, mind you… I had to go and look up for her for her to say to me that we could only USE 1 fitting room per area, but the fact that she had us WAIT for more than 20 minutes it’s crazy.Very poor customer service on her side, Thank you NOT thank you Elizabeth…

2022-01-09This is a very cool store! I went there and bought a few items during the holidays. They have all kinds of items and they offer them for a really good price. There was a lot of people shopping but you will be surprised how quick the queue quickly moves. I would definitely come back in here to shop once I get back in NYC!

2020-04-04Everything you need! This Target is small but its packed full of so many things! There is a produce section, decor, and pharmacy. We found everything we were looking for and more! The staff was super kind in helping us find what we were looking for and the bathroom. The checkout line went really quick and there was more helpful staff there.

2022-04-28This is a great place for people who work in the garment district near 34th st. A wide variety of foods clothes household products etc. the back entrance on 33rd st is still closed. The ONLY way in or out is by the 34th st entrance. Which is a little annoying. But not that big of a deal. The amount of self check out lanes are impressive! Really liked that convenience

2022-05-30I bought a packet of Hero dark spot patch and when I got home I opened it and it was already opened and instead of 6 patches there were only 2 patches. and i don’t know how they were able to be opened since they keep these patches locked and you need a worker to opened them for you so that you can get them

2018-06-16This not a full target, more of a target light. They have a small selection of items from each of the categories you find at a regular target store. For instance, you can find video games here, but just a couple and not the latest ones. That said, it is a very clean, well lit, and well organized store. It does not take long to find where the item you needed would have been if they had carried at this store.

2017-11-02This place is a nightmare! People abandoning their baskets/carts beside checkouts as the line is so long it’s out the front door. A complete joke. This place needs to improve significantly. All checkouts on the top floor doesn’t make sense.Apart from that major issue the store was well stocked and reasonably priced for being in midtown.Toilets had keypad locks?! Where you had to ask staff to let you in.

2018-08-24Not your typical Target. Why, because they are trying to fit a Target in a shoebox. Dont blame Target. They are working with what they have. Very limited stock. First floor a disappointment. Basement level has more to offer. Space is the factor here.
