Target in other cities:
Large selection of home goods and groceries, with a Starbucks, a CVS and photo print services available inside.Totally a destination spot to shop at. The crowds were large, but the stare is so big that it seems to swallow up customers so you can’t tell. The parking lot is fast and furious, just be careful, especially if you have little kids.Huge variety of seasonal apparel, produce, snacks, games, home goods and decorations for every holiday season.Big self checkout section for efficiency.
This Target offers a lot of merchandise, but the store is poorly maintained inside. There is a lot of miscellaneous merchandise laying around in the wrong places and the floor is quite dirty. You may be able to get what you need here, but it will not be a pleasant shopping experience.
This target location is remodeling, certain item is all over the store. The store associates are all pointing which direction to go for the items I needed and gave me all the wrong directions. If you don’t wanna come to work to help people please don’t come in. The cashier Ashanti was very helpful with cashing us out and had knowledge where everything was. Please improve your service in certain areas would be much appreciated
Theyve been remodeling since forever 🙄. Its been months (almost a year) and the store is still a complete mess. Disorganized and cluttered store. Dirty and dusty floors. Empty shelves. They have only a few essentials as most items are out of stock. The workers are often on the phone, or talking with each other and killing time. Starbucks is always out of stock of most menu items 🤦🏻♀️. They should close the store and then re-open when they finish up their chaotic remodeling.
I do buy a lot of things at target specifically, but they are not my only exclusive go to store for everything. However my last visit to my local Target store was excellent. First I was looking for Kings Hawaiian bread but could not find it. After asking an employee for help, he not only told me where it was located but actually walked me over to get it. Next at the cash register line I was very kindly greeted by the cashier, after paying and leaving the store for my car I heard someone calling out sir repeatedly so I turned to look and it was the cashier with one of my bags that I had accidentally left behind. What a great shopping experience
Cashier greeted me with a warm good morning, and the gentleman that collects the carts was extremely polite and offered to help me with my packages to my car. I don’t know their names but I shopped at the Valley Stream store 6/8/21 in the morning at 8am. Hope my review can get them some recognition for their warm smile and kind gesture.
They’re in the middle of a remodel and no one knows where anything is. Literally no one. Asked four different associates about the location of one item and got four completely different answers. If you don’t have competent employees, what makes you think you can handle a remodel while the store is open???
I bought this electrical scooter for my daughter for Christmas. When we opened the box Christmas morning, the scooter was in terrible condition. It was already used and the parts were broken. Whoever was working on the floor Target, should not have allowed this product to be shipped out. This absolutely unacceptable. As a result, my daughter started crying because her Christmas was ruined. I do not recommend purchasing this item or purchasing anything from Target.
I went to this target in Valley Stream New York today 9/19/20 at about 1-200 pm. I had a most distressing experience and want to warn other shoppers of what may happen to them. I bought $31.82 worth of mostly groceries and exited the store about 2 pm. I bought coffee from Starbucks and since there is no seating allowed my sister and I, both elderly , sat on a metal bench right near the front entrance. There was a long line of potential shoppers lined up in front of us waiting to enter the store. Our carts were adjacent to us on the bench. The line of people and others milling about obscured our view of the carts. After about 10 minutes as we got up , I saw to my dismay that although her cart was there , mine was not. I had my groceries in a Target branded shopping bag placed in the child seat of my cart. If a person just wanted the cart ( which there were other carts available ) he/she could not miss the shopping bag right there. I went to the security guard who was rather indifferent to my plight and didn’t seem to want to do anything to assist me.my sister and I did check out other carts in the vicinity all to no avail.I returned to the store and spoke to a manager who did not seem concerned that a theft right in front of the store on store property was any problem for Target. He opined that once I left the store I was responsible for my own items. When I asked to at least file an official complaint he informed me I could call the police on my own. Which I did. The police officer told me he would view the store video surveillance and if it showed a theft ( there were many people standing around us so it wasn’t necessarily going to show anything on the tape) he could report as a theft but if the tape wasn’t clear then he could only report it as a suspected theft. I understood this but am upset that Target takes no responsibility for not having enough security to forestall thievery. The presence of crowds of people trying to enter the store obscuring views also seems to me to be Target’s partial responsibility as well. Just be FOREWARN!There are thieves about in Green Acres and Target especially and Target takes no responsibility for allowing this to happen . Be careful with your bought items at Target . Be mindful of your surroundings and know there are people who look for shoppers who might make a momentary lapse in judgment to take advantage of them. And most Importantly dont look for Target to assist you if you are a victim of thievery at this store.
DO NOT APPLY HEREworking here was literally the worse experience of my lifeThey do not train you and expect you to know how the store worksI quit my job as a beauty consult because they kept scheduling me over my availability and they expected me to work while I had morning sickness(I was pregnant at the time) they do not care about their workers well being. I also applied for part time they had made me work 9 hours a day everydayWhen I tried to talk to a manager there was no one to be found.
Let’s talk about the customer service is horrible. Asking for a item is totally impossible. The manager is never available. They show you things with there fingers. All the cashiers hang out in customer service instead on the sales floor. The aisle stay empty. This Target has got to do better. Just awful.
This is just for the online pickup. There seems to be a misunderstanding on what online order pick up is here. 1. Customer orders items online for pickup at the store. 2. Customer gets an email that their order is ready. 3. Customer goes down there to get their order. 4. Customer goes to guest services where Target personnel hands them their order.Step 1-3 goes as planned. But step 4 is when things go to blazes. After youve gotten there, with your email that says order ready for pickup, you show it to guest services AND THATS WHEN THEY SEND SOMEONE THROUGHOUT THE STORE TO ASSEMBLE YOUR ORDER!!! For the record, its a recurring event. Ive had this happen twice. Fool me once, shame on me, but twice......man, I give myself two stars for doing it to myself again.ETA: MUCH BETTER. GREAT JOB GUYS. EDITING TO ADD STARS. Dont know how or why but they have gotten better. Thanks guys.
I requested for a product which I was looking for my son and was quickly helped by a store associate Steve Julmisse. He was very kind and polite and immediately went to track the product and get it for me in less than 5 minutes.I hope that all other sales associates help the customers and bring a good reflection of the store like Steve does.Thank you Steve.
My least favorite of the Long Island Targets. The staff is rude and the lines are long and slow there. The always seem to be understocked on the Weekend. Also it takes forever to get your Drive Up pick up order. Parking lot is also crazy I prefer the Westbury or Freeport locations.
This is one of my favorite target stores. One of the biggest out in valley stream. From food to technology and clothing you name it they have it .they even have a pharmacy. I like the fact it is also located right next to green arches mall ,and so many restaurants. Dont forget about the stores very spacious parking lot.plus the Q 85 bus lets you off right near this store.
I love Target, but todays Drive in order was the worst. There were issues with 2 items. I caught one while I was still in the car and went in to return it. Then I was the 8th person in the return line. The other error was caught at home and I didnt have time to go back. Drive in is supposed to save time...and be accurate.
Your standard target, great products but the customer service is horrible . Workers always look mad that theyre there . No smiles no nothing. Returned an item and the girl did it fast but seemed to have an attitude for no apparent reason. Love target ,but the workers take away from the shopping experience when they seem to be in such a bad mood everytime.
It was a long wait for a store member to help me. Over 10 minutes. More staff was needed to help facilitate this service. I was the only one on line. Once the staff member came over everything was very quick. However, my bottle of sunscreen was broken. Noticed when I got to the car.
I usually go to this store 2 or more times a week. I went the other day to buy a lightning cable and i ask one of the team members to get one for me because is kept lock so after 15 minutes i found one ask and when i made the line to pay he tells me the cable is 52.99 i said but it says there that it is 19.99 he took the cable and slammed it on a cart and said NEXT i ask he again i need the cable he said leave i am not going to sell it. Target headquarters need to step on to their game cause almost all the employees on this store are not happy and won’t help anyone that ask for help! Something it feels like i am at Walmart
Totally unprofessional setup, your store was not set up to handle/receive orders for pickup. There was one small sign by the Guest Services counter directing where the pick up line was, but it was turned around so people who did see the sign would be on the wrong line. So, then you got stuck on the same line as returns, so you were in Hell. When your turn came up, the person who was assigned to do pickups had to be found. Then she walked you back to the front of the store where the pickup items, and we waited again. Not an easy or pleasant experience
On Monday, 27th April 2020 I arrived at Target to do a return. My daughter had already called to verify that they were doing returns. As a first responder I was told to go wait in the line like everyone else as first responders were only allowed the courtesy on Thursdays and corporate was adamant about the rule. A Hispanic male said he was the manager and I just had to wait in the line, even though I explained I was on my way to work. No initiative here.
I came here to this location to pick up something for my registry under my name. There was no line at all and there was about 7 people behind the desk. Not one person took initiation to ask if I needed help. Another random customer comes up to the desk and the guy gets service in 0.5 seconds. Someone finally came up to me after like 5 minutes and asked if I needed help. It was the nice elder lady behind the desk who seemed busy already doing something on the stores inventory handheld device. I told her that I was picking up a baby crib and she saw that it was a big order. Not one single young person thought to go help her after she blurted out that the crib was big. Instead all the young workers want to run their mouth and fool around. Smh
The person that served me was extremely rude and disrespectful as if I was a bother for coming to the store and picking up my item from the in store pick-up section. No greeting, no smile, no thank you... just nasty looks and gestures. Would never shop here again. I wish I was a secret shopper so they could really feel the impact of how horrible their service was. The crazy part is that the store was empty and wasnt even busy where I could even sympathize for it being busy and understaffed but that wasnt even the case.
I love Target but something really needs to be done about the Valley Stream store. The parking lot is dirty, carts don’t work and often have trash in them, the store is hardly ever stocked and the foods in the refrigeration area is always going bad because the refrigerators always go out. This location needs an overhaul!!!!!
There are some items sold there that I like and have not been able to find in certain other locations not to mention that a lot of the prices are great! However, the aisles could be cleaner and the price checker machines need to be better maintained; I tried to price check more than one item and it seemed like you can only price check one item every half hour or so at three different price check stations.
MEDIOCORE is the best word forThis target a lot of young folks standing around doing nothing me and mom have been coming here for years and once the pandemic hit this store completely lost it and they really do not have a lot of stock Ive gone there and have seen literally empty shelves of cold foods as well
This Valley Stream Target store is a mess!! Never fully stocked with many items even with items not on sale or in the weekly circulars. I went on a Sunday early afternoon and it was disappointing! Several empty shelves in the food sections, beauty products unorganized, several disarray items everywhere. Employees hanging around like its a hand out spot. This Target needs to do better!!!!
The place is clean and the staff were of great help, but I had a horrible experience with in-store pick-up. Apparently target never got my order so I had to cancel my online order and walk out empty handed. By the end of the day, I ended up shopping at Amazon. Now Im happy.
I go to this Target once every year or two. Nothing ever changes.I needed a pillow, and I came to Target because I knew they have bins with different types of pillows. And I got my pillow. It took me about three times longer than it should have to choose a pillow. Just like the rest of the store, the pillow pins were mixed up, with some price labels missing from the shelves, and the pillows all shuffled up, so you have to confirm everything you pick up to see if it matches with the description and price on the shelf label, assuming the price label on the shelf isnt missing. I had to memorize what the different pillows were as I looked at them, because the lack of organization on the bins and shelves was too lacking to be of help keeping them all straight. As I walk around, it seems like almost every shelf in the whole store is like that. Everything is in the correct department, but no one ever goes through to make the shelves neat. I wonder if one of the managers said, We neatened everything up once, so then if the customers messed everything up, its their problem. Sorry Target; thats retail, and regardless of the mess we make, it remains your responsibility to keep your shelves neat. Otherwise, shopping becomes an extra-complex chore. If you got the time to hunt through the messes on the shelves to see what your choices are and try to compare to see if you want one of their items, then youre good; everyone needs a hobby. Im just saying it would be easier and faster to shop and select items if they were organized neatly, lined up nicely, etc.Even Walmart on the other side of Green Acres has better organized shelves, even with their crowds. I just didnt know if they have pillows. It would be interesting to find out if all Targets are disorganized messes, or just this location.Im not a good enough shopper to say how their prices compare. The parking lot is a little bit like spaghetti. You cant go too far straight before you hit a concrete curb and have to turn. Although the lot is only the size of a postage stamp, you have to turn a few times to get into or out of it. In the case of one forced turn, the next forced turn occurs in 3 feet. The forced turns and general arrangement of the lot has to be rearranged. Ive never seen the lot filled, so they could afford to make the spaces a little bigger. And if it ever did fill up, there is massive quantities of overflow parking a few yards farther.
Target is good, but the management in this store was so bad. They just change rules frequently, never showing out in writing. I used to buy some soda there. In target ads and signs on the shelves there are never showing limited on quantity. But they do. Three weeks ago, the manager told me it was limited to each favor I can get ten. And today they just told me there was nothing about the favor, I only can get ten In total. My point here is why you target guys dont just put some words in your ads and the signs that could save everybody times for sure. Because I am good man , and always read those things carefully then follow. And I felt so bad since these thing keep happening to me. It just like a fishing cheats.
I called ahead to inquire about ready to feed enfamil neuropro and was told it was in stock. I also asked how many were available because i need alot. I was told that there are only 4 or 5 on the shelf. I drive all the way to the store and they tell me that it is a limit of two per customer. There was no sign in the baby section also when i was called i was not told that. I understand there is a crisis but i should have been told before i came all the way to valley stream. Very unprofessional
It should be embarrassing to TARGET to have a huge line of people who already paid for their items to wait much longer than people returning your products. Your clerks return with apologies along with your purchase for the long wait. My clerk said she had to search several holding locations before finding the item. You should have someone else being the runners or the items “READY at the pick up window” or send the customers to the holding area. Poor utilization of personnel and technology. I was waiting so long I could have gone to the shelf and purchased the item in store. The only benefit was getting the item if it was out of stock.
I love shopping at target. Ive been to this one a handful of times and each time Ive been on line for over 30 minutes. They have plenty of registers and plenty of employees working so why not open more registers at peak time, especially when they know this is the busiest day and time of week. I will not be coming back to this Target.
Valley Stream Target is my target but Im seriously about to give up on them due to the rudeness of the employees there.... I have a newborn and have been using the drive up quite a few times successfully. This evening I ordered some items and the team member Anthony came out and brought the items... I knew the items were mine based on the diapers in the cart... I called him over to me but he went to the other car... When he realized it was mine he came over very rudely with an attitude... I signed for my items and he literally left the cart in front of my car and walked away leaving my items in the cart... What kind of customer service is this? If I spend my money somewhere I deserved to be treated with respect and if this is the type of service Im going to be receiving then I will spendmy money elsewhere.
I have experienced theeeee worst experience in my entire life witnessing managers talking down towards their workers at the food court section while i was ordering my Latte like they are un human. Seeing cashiers rolling their eyes not wanting to help customers. Strolling into the grocery aisle forget about it ive picked up expired yogurt& beef products additionally. The summer products section everything on the floor not to mention ive seen a worker sneaking eating while walking around with a cart full of stuff.
This Target location hosted a Trump rally recently where hundreds of unruly followers without mask gathered. We were unable to park or gain access to the store. They did not follow the guidelines of the store or the CDC.Shame on Target for hosting an event like this in their parking lot in a pandemic.I will not shop at this or any Target store ever and all well thinking consumers should boycott this chain too.
Good place, great little finds here and there, starbucks staff not so great, gave me an attitude and made the drink wrong a second time when I asked them to correct it. Very rude. And no offense but if Im paying almost $10 for a drink it better be done right especially when it only has 4 ingredients
This store is poorly managed. Shelves are often empty / poorly stocked. Display pieces arent checked to make sure the model on display is placed atop the correct price / product description placard. Im a fan of Target, but the Valley Stream store needs to have more management on the floor actually directing their employees.
I love to shop this store for groceries, but sometimes what they offer on the cartwheel app isn’t at the store, but they offer it. Which I think it’s just unfair. Not all target stores are the same. They should make all targets the same, and offer the same things, including things in the cartwheel app. That’s why this why I rated 4 stars. To get the most out of shopping there, you need to use the cartwheel app on your smartphone. You save lots of money.
This target is a fail as a first responder I was told “oh it doesn’t matter”. Cool I went on the line at 8am google and the website say they open at 8 it’s currently 8:38am and I’m still waiting on the line. I will never shop at a target again. I will stick with Walmart. Bye!
Have been going to this Target for a while, it is convenient I ususlly stop on the way home from work. This one day at the register I asked the casher if she was open she had one customer, she replied Im closed, Ok so I went over to the next casher. When I get on the line I look over and the casher is taking customers, Im like look at this shes taking customers to the lady in front of me, and she looked at me and shook her head. Sorry to say but I feel like she not taking me because I was caucasion. Then my casher put my bags on the counter with the previous customers bags not paying attention and talking with the other casher. Not paying attention he gave the customer my bag and I did not know till I got home. It was pumpkin decoration $6 and clean and clear face wash$3 and change. Seriously the people in this Target need to be trained on customer service. Im very pissed off. Would rather take the ride out to mall and go to that Target.
Everybody is very rude with no patience u cannot ask a question terrible guest service.. i just went food shopping there and i dont like using plastic bags so i brought mine and she didnt help with any item put in my bags she was rolling her eyes i asked how to use cartwheel she said: i dont know”” with the worst attitude. I will never spend my money at this target again.
I want to send a RAVE review to Ms. Avalon, she knew how to ran the store and Still have time to help a customer 1 to 1, she loaded the Kodak kiosk w/ photo paper and assisted in several other people that needed her, rather than just blow me off and say ‘someone is coming to do it’...SHE DID IT...PROBLEM SOLVED!! THANK YOU
I live in Brooklyn, but the prices in this Target compared to the other Targets in NYC are worth the trip. The only time they level out with other Target stores is when theres a sale. I only had a minor hiccup when the scanner said there was inventory in the back, but the employee couldnt find any.
I wish I could give them no stars today. Its sad when one employee represents an entire billion dollar corporation. My car was parked close to the entrance and my car battery died. I asked surrounding customers for help and tried to hold a parking spot so that I could get a boost (I was parked head in). An employee of Target kept insisting she wanted the spot (thought employees should be saving those spots for customers), she became irate, yelling at me that it was illegal to hold a spot in the state of NY , that she works for loss prevention, took a picture of my license plate and sad she was going to call the police all for what? Because the other spots werent close enough ? Because she was upset that she did not want to park in the 100s of open spots a little further from the store ? I thought Target employees were suppose to help? Not try to run you over and argue over a parking spot and then take the spot when I need the boost. Im soooo sad and disappointed that a Target employee refused to help me (especially after spending 1000s of dollars yearly at this location ) Im frustrated that a person couldnt help another person in distress knowing they needed help . I was just trying to get home and not take up another spot that she wanted so badly. thank you to that Target employee who clearly isnt fit to be part of the Target team. I hope you have a better day and lets hope your car battery doesnt die .. one day you will need the help too!
Visitors should avoid this location. In fact I generally recommend avoiding doing any shopping in the area. Customer Service here is dead. Workers stand around joking with each other, carrying on loud personal phone calls, blasting profanity filled music out of the electronics area and doing anything and everything except there jobs. It was a very sad situation.
The store itself and products and prices are wonderful- but the employed staff was terrible and rude. Upon first entering the establishment with my little four legged bff in my arms I am abruptly stopped by a man saying miss no pets!- first of all.. the correct way to handle that is to apologize to the customer for any inconvenience and then proceed to explain your policy- and that only if I have a special or specific need that I can come into the establishment with my pet- that was not done nor was I asked if my dog was a therapy dog I was just shunned from conducting business all together by a security guard ( in case any employer is wondering he was dark skinned and worked at about 2pm on Saturday April 14, 2018) also he tried to say that there was a big sign as I was entering and again that is just not how u handle your customers btw I do have a disability just didnt want to take him on -and took my business elsewhere and just brought what I needed
I went on a regular Monday, 4 PM. My first time in the store. Found Starbucks corner near the entrance. Caffeine is the only legal drug, so I had some. Just Legalize It.All downhill from there. The store is clean, but the stock is a mess, kind of like my bedroom. Stuff thrown all over. Items on shelves are only rarely lined up neatly. I couldnt find Darjeeling tea, or a nasal rinse kit (with the squeezy bottles which are great for allergy season), or Regular Olde Spice deodorant but only a bunch of weird variations. So I got on line with some weirdly-scented Old Spice deodorant, a pint of virgin coconut oil, and some Pepto Dismal for my mother. There are about 300 cash registers making an impressive display across one whole side of the store, but only 4 of them were opened. In fact, there was so much space -- about a quarter mile -- between the opened registers, it was hard to see which one had the shortest line, because the other open ones were so far away. I mean, youd have to walk a half a mile just to compare the 4 open lines, and by the time youve checked them out, youd have to walk a half a mile to go back to the shortest one, and then when you get there, its probably not the shortest line anymore. So I got on a line. The wait was 5 or 6 minutes. A new lady was being trained at the cash register. She was very sweet. The lady doing the training was a bit stressed. Teaching isnt for everybody, and the supervisor should be more thoughtful about to whom he gives the job.The store has the making of being able to provide a wide variety of goods, but the stock is such a mess that its ruined. Bottom line -- I couldnt wait to get out before getting a headache. So next time, Im going back to Walmart (in Green Acres). Wally is twice as crowded, but theyve never been out of stock on half my shopping list, and their stock is kept better organized. Not perfect, but better. Best part about this Target seems to be the night crew that cleans up. At least the place is clean, maybe even cleaner than Wally, bacteriologically speaking.
To sum it up in one word, H O R R I B L E. The store is disorganized. The employees at the register are down right nasty. They are callous and rude. I went to this store to buy a few items late one night. The lines were long. The cashier started shouting that I was taking too long to take out my money and she was going on to the next customer. I would not go back to this store under ANY circumstances. Prices are expensive.
Dropped my son off to school this Morning and decided to take an early morning trip to this Target. 8:00 on a Monday morning I couldnt believe my eyes. I worked in retail while getting through college and we could have never closed our store the night before in that condition. The food section especially. Total turn off. Poor selection, Holes everywhere and the little selection they did have was in such a mess!!! Come on Valley Stream Target !!!
The guy at Starbucks was very very nasty didn’t want to be there 08/10/18 5:52pm didn’t get his name he was not making any eye contact with me and when I said I wanted something else after I placed my first order with a big attitude he said No don’t have it with his lips out and rolling his eyes I canceled my whole order and he throws everything very bad service 2 other customers walked away after me cause his attitude

2021-11-20I love Target! It doesn’t matter which one, all Targets are amazing! This store has a Starbucks, and the staff at Starbucks are pretty cool. The Target employees are really nice at this store, some of them were super helpful and some were just fun. This store has a lot of fun stuff, and a lot of great Christmas decorations and ornaments. This Target is well stocked with everything you may need, from toiletry to travel to food supplies. If you’re worried about parking, there’s a huge parking lot infront off the building.

2022-06-04Good prices. Helpful cashiers and workers. Large parking lot along with access to many other stores. They have majority of items you will find in a grocery store. I recommend

2022-04-04I just left Target at Green Acres, I checked out at the self check out and the young lady working in the self check out area was very rude to my daughter. My daughter asked for a bag after purchasing my items and the lady pointed down to a closed box, my daughter reached down took one bag and the lady said “let me leave because I don’t want these people talking to me” so I pushed my cart right in front her her and we walked away. While walking away she says “you can move the cart to the front” I said “no you work here, I don’t!”These young workers need better training, because dealings like this will get people trouble!

2022-06-06Store pick up is a disaster. Avoid at all cost!!! Literally stood at the pick up counter for almost a 45 before I can get my order. Employees walked in and out. It was like if I wasn’t even there!!! When I asked if someone can help they say yeah they’ll be right out and takes then about 25 minutes to do so. No one wants to work. Should go to the Westbury store when your treated like a valued customer.

2022-06-09Once again this store disappoints with customer service. Two cashiers open at 3 pm with long lines plus self checkout was open too . The cashier cut off the line with the person in front of me while I was standing there in line . I went up to her to try and explain to her that you cut it off at the end not in the middle and she lashed out screaming at me that she had no idea where the end of the line was . While she was ranting I tried to explain that the end of the line is at the end . I proceeded to go to customer service to complain and ask why there was now only one register open with 10 people on it . Always a pleasant shopping experience in Green Acres if you don’t mind being treated inappropriately.

2022-05-23My daughter likes Target from way back but after plastic bags was banned in NYS and target started giving out reusable bags for free I think they should be commended because they are pretty sturdy and many places want to charge as much as a dollar

2022-05-29So far I had nothing but great experience at this Target in Valley Stream. I recently started to shop here because Walmart is always crowded and always out of stock for items I need. Target is a little more classy than Walmart.

2022-06-04I normally go to this target all the time. But worker at the self check out are rude, they make you feel like you are bothering them when you have a question. And the self check out is alway a hot mess. So disorganized and mess everywhere.
