Scammers… was quoted $285 to move a bed from Bushwig > Harlem.. The dudes tried to say it took 3 HOURS + 30 min waiting time? I checked the traffic it was a 50min journey & my old room mate said it took them less than 10 mins to pick everything up.THEY pushed into my apartment & demanded more money before they moved the bed into the apartment. I refused - so they left everything in the street & left.DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS!
My experience with TDY Moving & Storage was unmatched, all around they are a great company and have phenomenal customer service. This was my first major move and TDY surpassed my expectations. From the scheduling process to the actual move they were happy to help in any way possible. Sara was patient with us as we selected the best move date/ option for us and made sure we were covered from start to finish. The foreman, Marlin and his team (4 man team) arrived early and managed to get everything out of the old apartment and into the new one in 4 hours in 90° heat and we’re on the third floor. The team did a phenomenal job (wrapped everything - not a single scratch on the furniture or the apartment, they let us use their wardrobe boxes free of charge, etc). I plan to book them again for my next move!

I chose TDY moving for our recent move because 1. they were the quickest to reply to my inquiry 2. they took the most time on the phone to answer my one million questions and 3. they provided the best value. Our move had to be rescheduled a few times due to complications beyond our control. The team at TDY of Sara and Adam were super easy to work with and had no issues making the last minutes changes we needed.When moving day finally came, the TDY team arrived right on time and got work. Our move was big but not overly complex. We moved from a 3 story walk-up to a split level home. The team of five (2 foremen and 3 regular movers) made short work of the 100+ boxes we had plus all our furniture. There were no major issues at all, the guys were friendly and always willing to do what we asked regarding the location of our items in the new house.We did have some minor damage on one item but it was easily fixable with some wood glue.Overall, I was extremely happy with my choice to go with TDY. I recommended their moving service to anyone.
This time are for my home moving needs I hide TDY home moving services and trust me this is the best company I have ever found for such needs. I was transferred from one station to another for a new project at my office. at a very short notice I was asked to relocate by my company and I was looking for a reliable home moving company who can shift my 2 bed house although I am single but I have a lot of stuff related to my sports so they came up. The manager was Adam who dealt my query and the packing crew included John jay n Max. They wrapped up my stuff very safely and moved to my new city and new home and was all very timely and very economical. I highly recommend them for my home moving needs.
We had to move last minute, and Billy went out of his way to make sure everything would be taken care of and go smoothly. Mala was wonderful to call the day before and check all the details. On the day-of, John and his crew handled everything like true pros, taking extra care with our belongings and bringing their positive vibes to what couldve been a very stressful day. Overall communication was great across the board, and Billy was super kind, responsive, and helpful throughout the process. I would not hesitate to use their services again - highly recommend!
A friend recommended me TDY. I called them and they were able to accommodate my request for services. Two men John & Max arrived for the packaging and moving job. around 30 cartons and 1 bed complete furniture setup was to be moved. They wrapped and protected everything. Great services at a way reasonable cost
Tdy home moving is an excellent company in town I had them to my wrap up my family home which is a 4 bed house on the countryside.they have amazing cargo fleet with a very efficient and hardworking and dedicated team members. They did the job very well. I collected a lot of quotations and they were the lowest and had the best profile among all the competitors . I chose them and I am really happy .I strongly recommend them

I interviewed 6 companies for my move, and TDY was the most professional, did a great virtual tour and gave me an estimate that turned out to be right on the money with no surprise charges.On moving day the team was on time, efficient, and pleasant to work with. They were very careful with everything and it was a truly stress free experience . I cant give them enough praise.I highly recommend this company.

Let me start by saying the booking process and Sara in particular were great. Unfortunately the moving process went downhill from there.There were several issues with my move: 1) hired 4 movers, only 3 showed up due to miscommunication 2) one didnt wear a mask despite rules in my building 3) two of the employees argued repeatedly throughout the move about where to put things, how to assemble. Very unprofessional and as a result, damaged one of my pieces 4) two bedroom pieces less than a year old were damaged by the wrappingYou would think that the lead/manager/owner Adam, would be apologetic about the above. Instead he was very nonchalant, first offered nothing then 3 cents per pound and acted like he was doing me a favor. Including when I described how two of the movers fought over how to assemble a marble table top with one leaving the other holding the heavy item. I was concerned it would drop. Well, guess what? There is a large chip on a very expensive table despite my repeated urging to be careful as it was fragile.Any company with professionalism would be embarrassed that two employees were arguing and as a result damaged a clients pieces thousands of dollars in damages.All this and I tipped them well, got the sodas, etc. I will never, ever recommend this company and if you like your furniture would suggest you look elsewhere.
My scheduled mover cancelled on me the morning of my move at the end of August (busiest time of year). Someone put me in touch with tdy moving company and they went out of their way to find a crew that was finishing their job earlier than expected and sent them that same day to take care of our move. Our soon-to-be- married were being given an apartment full of barely used furniture for their new home but had to move it out that day by a licensed and insured moving company. Not only did they find a crew to move us but they were able to complete the COI that was needed in less than an hour. The crew who showed up were careful, responsible, packed all of the furniture meticulously, and worked tirelessly to get our job done. I would highly recommend this company and will forever appreciate their kindness and willingness to find a creative way to help!!!

While most moving companies only want to make some profit but TDY Moving and Storage is one of the very few companies who care more about their customers than their balance sheet. Their quote was unbeatable, the movers were hard working and the move went absolutely perfectly. The foreman directed his men so well and they carried my big furniture so efficiently. I asked the crew to be extra careful with my breakables and they were just that. Even the final fill was fair. I am just blown away by this company since I have never had this good of a moving experience.
Due to some domestic issues I had to relocate from one town to another and I was looking for someone to assist me in my home moving I contacted tdy home moving based on their reputation in the market and received tremendously grade services regarding packaging, shifting of things and transportation from one City to another. The movers from TDY Moving and Storage were wonderful. Very professional and personable men that worked carefully and fast with an amazing attitude. They took the time to go over each room with me to receive instructions and then carried them out- asking questions along the way when necessary instead of guessing. They told me I could just relax as they moved everything out of the house and I actually did because I could see how careful they were with our belongings. I highly recommend them .
These guys were absolutely fantastic. I asked for three movers for our move. My girlfriend and I were moving to Clifton, NJ from Brooklyn, NY because she got a job there and I was also happy to go and live somewhere else. The foreman and two other helpers came in our apartment on time and packed the things quickly. They wrapped them so well that nothing got damaged or broken. Both of us were very satisfied with TDY Moving and Storage. They even arranged the furniture at our new place and did not charge us extra for that. They saved us so much time and money. I moved last week and the experience with TDY Moving and Storage was great from start to finish. The foreman called me to let me know they were on the way and were there on time. The moving team did an excellent job. The movers were courteous, friendly and above all he took care in handling my items. They ensured that no packing materials were left in my home after they finished unwrapping my furniture. The movers from TDY Moving and Storage were terrific. They packed most of our stuff and all of the valuables and delicate things. We did not have one nick or chip out of anything including glass sculptures and designer side tables.The moving team showed up on time on the moving day and were very efficient in getting everything boxed up and loaded on their truck. They arrived later in the day and were as efficient unloading as they had been at the originating location. I was totally impressed with their attention to detail. They made the moving part go smoothly-great job.

TDY moved us from Yonkers to Briarcliff Manor, with a stop at a storage unit. We received a flat rate estimate from Ed, the movers were on time and the Crew Chief John was phenomenal. We paid them additional money to pack our house and it was well worth it. On the day of the move they were on time, professional and quick. I could barely get them to take a break. They treated all of our belongings well and took great care moving the furniture into and out of the houses. This was our second move with them, the first was just as good!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

When I discussed my move with their sales rep, he was responsive to all my queries and he never pushed me to hire them. I got convinced and hired them. Movers showed up on time and they were well equipped with all necessary tools and the packing materials. They packed and moved my things and they were very fast and accurate too. I relocated from Brooklyn to Florida. From the very beginning, TDY was professional! Eddie emailed and texted to gather all the details about my belongings and dates to move. Once we firmed up a plan, he sent his guys to pack up my apartment. They were awesome! They came prepared with boxes, tape, checklists, etc. They were quick, tidy, and professional. The delivery truck arrived on time. The guys unloaded quickly and confidently. They brought things upstairs, and into our over-the-garage apartment. They never left a scratch or scuff on my new white walls. I was so happy with the service. They even went above and beyond and drove their truck 15 minutes away to pick up a bunk bed for us. I am so happy I used TDY movers, and would recommend them! Also, their pricing was more than reasonable!!
I just moved few days ago and used TDY Moving and Storage. The movers were attentive, very skilled and professional. They worked for couple of hours loading, disassembling, reassembling and unloading our house items. Many of the boxes were labelled, so they quickly moved the boxes into the correct rooms. You really cant get a better moving company than this. The amount of integrity and professionalism these movers had was amazing. Highly recommended moving service.
All I was expecting from TDY Moving and Storage was to deliver my valuables without any damages caused to them. Their customer service seemed friendly enough to convince me. They quoted quite reasonably too. The moving team arrived on the moving day 10 minutes early. The movers worked very swiftly packing and loading every valuable of mine. My belongings arrived in great condition. They made sure, at every step of the way, that there were no issues. That is a serious level of efficiency in my book. Everyone was great at letting me know what I needed to do to prepare for my companies move. The guys that showed up were simply amazing! They moved heavy desks up two flights of stairs and kept a great attitude the entire time. They took care in wrapping the furniture to pro-tact it and as a result I had no damages whatsoever! I had hired TDY Moving and Storage for my relocation.The foreman and his team of five long distance movers arrived at the appointed time. They started right away and worked straight through without a break.They were just as efficient unpacking and placing our stuff where we told them. The entire job was completed within the estimated time and not a single thing was damaged.Definitely the best moving experience Ive ever had.
TDY Moving was an excellent moving company. We had lot of over sized large pieces of furniture. In addition, we also had a lot of fragile items, antiques and breakables. The moving team was able to safely and quickly relocate us in couple of hours. We were impressed that there were no damages or scratches. I would hire them again for all moving needs.

Not happy with these movers. I used them this past December to move out of New York. Sales people were great in making the sale. When the movers came, the head guy mentioned the process after saying tipping was customary and how much it should be, which I felt was very unprofessional. I immediately called the distribution supervisor letting them know how I felt. They reiterated that i can tip how I felt the service was. What was I going to do, I needed to vacate so I continued. The whole time I was with the movers the head guys was telling me his sob story. I felt sorry for the other two guys that came with him. The other two worked hard and stuck to the job. In the end I tipped them more than they deserved, but did it incase they might have been rough with my stuff or quote on quote could have lost things in transit. I received my things in about two weeks which was good nothing lost. They delivery guys were better, worked hard and stuck to the job. One of the pieces was damage from the delivery which was packed by their New York team, the head guy! The delivery guys said they would let the office know and some will contact me in regards to that. Needless to say, I’m still waiting to hear back. If I didn’t get a call by now, I doubt they will ever call. I will not be using or recommending them.Update: I received calls after the review was posted from the sales and distribution staff. They were both very apologetic about my experience with the team. I moved the rating up as I felt the sincerity in their words. Hopefully this will make future client experience better with the movers as in what is communicated to the client during the onsite move and communication process from the movers to management when there is damage to an item.
I didn’t know where to start with my move from NY to CO. Luckily, TDY Moving and Storage eased the move for me quite a bit. They transported all my belongings safely to my new destination. They maintained the time schedule, worked very fast and didn’t charge much. I was really impressed seeing how skilled and experienced the movers were. I recommend them strongly.
Dont use these guys if youre traveling cross country. And dont make the mistake like I did for not buying additional insurance - I got $54 for a broken $600 bike, a cracked marble table, and movers damaging my staircase. There are no repercussions for the movers to be gentle with anything they do. They arrived with my boxes smashed, a couple of the hung clothes closet boxes upside down, the boxes smelled like old lockerroom, the guys were running in out and just throwing my stuff around like they were in a race. Horrible experience!

My things were nicely packed and arranged in their truck so as to prevent anything from breaking or being damaged by them. When the time came for everything to be unpacked, it was done so quick and efficiently I was astonished. I googled movers to get a good price. Once the day was over nothing was damaged or broken. I was so impressed. I did not even have a place to move yet. Spoke to Martin, GREAT guy on the phone, kept in touch with with for two months. Than the move date. Sunny day, three young men arrived, Brandon, ET, Travis. OMG Great men. They arrived on time and did not stop from the time they began loading the truck. It was a hot summer day on June 4, 2020. They did not even talk on there cell phones like these young generation due. I recently moved from Brooklyn, NY . This moving company was amazing. They were on time, efficient, polite and very careful with all of my belongings. The movers wrapped everything in moving blankets, tape, etc. They took apart all of my furniture and put everything back together with perfection. At my new home, they even wrapped the wall with plastic and blankets to ensure that there were no scratches as they carried my heavy furniture up the stairs. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again in the future.

My apartment was a tricky one. The wonky stairs and narrow hallways made it difficult for furniture to go in and out. But the movers from TDY Moving and Storage made it seem like non-issue. They tackled the job so professionally and efficiently. Not even one scratch surfaced on any of my items or the walls.They work meticulously and fast so there is no chance for you to have a bad service. My belongings were delivered within the allotted time and my price was very close to the original quote .They reached my new home the following day in great shape. Moving out in long distance is quite an experience. The TDY moving took care of everything like a guardian angel. The movers arrived on time. They were all very efficient and experienced. It took them a very short time to finish loading everything onto the truck. Their movers were absolute rare finds. They were so respectful to all the old rusty furniture pieces I own .They packed everything very well earlier so my valuables could survive the long trip. I was given quite a long window for the delivery. But luckily they delivered everything on the first day and I could happily avoid sleeping in the sleeping bag. I would definitely hire them for the next time.
Professionalism is something most companies people lack. The moving companies are not any different. I have seen my brother trying to set up a moving company with his friends who work out. But this business requires the men to be skilled and trained since you are essentially in charge with someone’s belongings. I was so glad to see that one company actually practices these theories. I hired TDY Moving to move my belongings after a thorough research. I wasn’t particularly happy about having to move but I had to do it. They sent over 4 movers who were on time and got to work immediately. I had a lot of belongings. But the movers didn’t complain about a thing. They put their heads down and packed for hours. They didn’t take too long though. I would call that very efficient. The best thing about the movers was that they were experienced and very skilled. I am thoroughly impressed seeing how professional these men were.

They came within the first half hour of their arrival window, and worked diligently and rapidly as soon as they crossed the front steps. A crew of 3 movers emptied out a 3 bedroom flat with kitchen, living and dining rooms less than given time (packing and loading). Professionalism and customer satisfaction clearly are not a priority to this company. Also:- One person delivery- Negotiations have failed- Damaged/Destroyed Items Delivered- Missing Boxes, then delivered weeks later- Furniture not reassembled- No Inventory of Items deliveredAnd now, 43 days later and counting my frustrated conversations with the company have been just that my conversations. I have moved over 10 times in my 55 years in this world with horror stories galore each time....my stuff was lost, damaged....movers were late, rude disrespectful and just unprofessional. So moving during this whole COVID thing was not something i was looking forward to. But my expectations were not only met but it was an easy and screw up free experience. from my first phone call to TDY I could tell this place was different....the Dispatcher(Sarah) was courteous and upfront about procedures and $. I had to change my my moving day at least 3 times and each time i was told it was absolutely no problem. My movers called the day before to confirm and again on moving day to say they were 30 mins away. The movers were friendly and really knew what they were doing and treated all my stuff(with over 60 boxes) as if it was their own and then placed it in each of the rooms at my new place i requested....including the basement without a hassle.....they even helped me move in some new furniture that was delivered as those delivery guys wouldnt come in my house bc of COVID. I recommend TDY as highly as possible and they made a stressful day go as smooth as possible. Thank you TDY!

I had been living in the same loft in lower Manhattan for 41 years. Obviously, I dont like to move. So, when my wife and I decided to move to the Hudson Valley in Sept 2017, the anxiety was through the roof.We must have talked to about a dozen companies before settling on TDY. We selected TDY based on price (about down the middle) and the sense of confidence that I got from engagement over the phone and their assessment visit to our place.Living in one place for that long, you collect a lot of stuff. You are supposed to purge BEFORE you move, but half my stuff were my book and record libraries, which took up one of the two 27 footers almost all by themselves. I couldnt make the decision then on what to get rid of, so off it all went to our new home.Complicating things, the new home was being gutted and redone to near passive house standards: it would be another 12 months before we could actually move in, so the stuff and us went to a rental in the countryside over a two-day move.Throughout this process, TDY and their staff proved that my fears that this move would be one of the worst ordeals of my life were totally unfounded. They arrived ahead of time, worked quickly but with extreme care and sensitivity. When presented with an issue, never made assumptions, always asked questions and kept me informed on every step of their process. They were always polite, personable and friendly. And they did not go over the budget estimate we agreed upon.We are now moved into our permanent home as of September 2018, and we still have not completely unpacked, but so far nothing is amiss and everything is intact except for one item that I moved myself so it wasnt their fault.Anyone contemplating a move into or out of NYC should definitely consider TDY as their first choice to get the job done in a timely and cost effective manner.
TDY Moving helped us with a 2 bedroom move from NYC to JAX, FL. Everyone at the company, from Ed who gave us our quote, to Angie in the office, to Miguel and crew at our home were extremely helpful and attentive. We found the quote extremely competitive and TDY was also the only moving company who guaranteed that we would receive our belongings within three days. And in three days we did, receiving our belongings at the tail end of a hurricane and in terrible weather. I would highly recommend asking for Miguel to be your foreman for the job. He oversaw our move from beginning to end and ensured that everything came together smoothly. TDY Moving made our transition as stress-free as possible - definitely 5 stars! A+
We used TDY to move our furniture and belongings from our old apartment to TDY’s storage unit for two weeks, and then to our new apartment, all within NYC. I was amazed at how nonchalant they were about losing some of our property between their storage unit and our new apartment. We had to buy a new curtain rod because they misplaced ours and they seemed utterly unconcerned when we called them about it. Now we have to go out and replace a large mirror that simply never arrived at our new apartment. The movers were very friendly and efficient and they gave us a good deal but if I could do it again I would pay more for more organized and reliable service, particularly for storage.

We contacted TDY Moving and requested the first available date as we had to moved out of the apartment by the end of the week. Sandy suggested to make reservation for Thursday or Friday. We booked them for Friday and sent our detailed inventory list. Within an hour or two they call back with prepared quotation for Friday, 4.5-6.5 hours moving and 4 movers for work. The day of the move the movers came on time. They asked us what to do and got the work immediately. Guys didnt stop. The only break they did was for lunch. In 5 hours the job was completed and I said our movers goodbye. By the way, Ive already recommended these guys to all my friends. And I know with whom Ill organize my next move.

If you do not want to loose your items, have your furniture or expensive display decor items broken please do not use this company. They will take all your money, no way to file any claims, keep on adding costs whenever whoever feels. Never ever going to advise anyone to use this company. The delivery driver literally threatened us saying pay money in full and then you get to see your items. I asked what if anything is damaged he straight away said not my responsibility! Basically this company just takes your money and then contracts the pickup and delivery to third party who are terrible at their job and irresponsible. John from this company kept on calling my husband and sweet talking until we finalized them to move our items. The moment pick up was done John did not get in touch. We kept on calling him and after many phone calls he picked up. We were worried as there was no way to know the status of our shipment. Our furniture was not only damaged, the center heavy coffee table completely broken, 2 boxes missing and many items inside the boxes damaged. Which I can very well imagine since I saw the driver and his fellows literally throwing my boxes on floor. Hubby called up John again and this time he said well I don’t handle this, the guy who handles customer claims is on leave and he will get back to you. But no one ever got back. I’m very frustrated, had my lesson and warning others please look for a better company.

I was quoted more time than what it actually took. These guys weren’t messing around! Also, Jeff was able to fix a bar chair arm rest that was wobbly for months. I had no idea of the company or of these men.I had a quote of $1700. for my move from a Westchester mover; TDYs price was less that half of what was quoted from the first mover. The movers were on time, worked tirelessly in below freezing weather, were meticulous in detail; they treated my furniture as if it were theirs. I recommend TDY without reservation and if you get Jeff, Brian, and Carlos, you are triply blessed. Thank you.
A top-notch company, from the communication and coordination via email to the actual day of the move. The foreman and his team of movers were professional, friendly, hard-working and efficient. They packed up, moved and unloaded our two bedroom apartment in under four hours, while taking care of furniture and other possessions. If and when we move again, well be calling this moving service again.
The people who pick the furniture and drop them are very professional. I am very demanding when it comes to be careful with walls and hard hood floor and they were really carefully. I am a little bit unhappy with the final price since it went from $2k to $3300 plus tipping, but it might be my partners mistake because he was living in one studio apartment, but lot of things so I would guess that when they tell you the price they will probably assume the standard things in the room. Also keep in mind that whatever they did not charge to the credit card you need to pay in cash.
I was moved by TDY Moving and Storage. It was the most professional move I have ever had . I was moved from NY to LA . The guys were fantastic , very human and helpful. If you are planning your next move do not hesitate to call them . It was great experience for me and a golden opportunity to meet these amazing people .

Movers were great! Informed me of the possibility of an earlier arrival time, which was great. When they arrived they got right to work and protected all my furniture before loading it on the truck. They made an effort to put my things in the correct rooms when we arrived and finished before the estimated time. Great experience, am planning on using them again..
Scheduled a move with TDY Moving and Storage that was done last weekend. The moving team was extremely professional, punctual and super fast.They showed up at the scheduled time and were done moving everything in around 3 hours . I was not expecting such a speedy move and it cost less than what I was expecting it to. I will definitely give them a call when I move next time.

TDY MOVING & STORAGE is an Excellent company they moved us from New York to Tennessee. Eric gave us the quote over the phone. Ed McKeon came to our appartment to assess the amount of belonging we were moving and confirmed the items and volume and confirmed an exact amount on a contract that would not increase unless we added more. Nigel and his team, Darrel, Jay, and Erez, assessed everything and got to work quickly. They labeled all items that needed to be moved and handled them carefully as they loaded the truck. All items that they disassembled were carefully padded and wrapped and labeled. All items that were irregularly shaped, they found a way to safely package. The pick up truck was securely packed. TDY knew that we had a tight window for our move, between 11/24/18 and 12/09/18. On 11/28/ 18 they confirmed that our belongings were leaving New York for Tennessee. On 12/ 01/18 John and Nicholas delivered our belongings. Every box, every tub, and every item arrived in the condition that it was in when it left New York. John and Nicholas did a fantastic job re-assembling furniture and logistically arranged boxes by labelling they were so friendly. We highly recommend this company.
I used TDY for 2 jobs, and was very pleased both times.First they moved a bunch of stuff from a house to a 2-bedroom apartment. They were incredibly efficient and did the job amazingly fast, taking care to protect all of our things. The guys were respectful, friendly and professional.Then they cleaned out our house which had 4 decades of stuff in it. Again, they were efficient, worked fast and at the end the house was enpty.Ed, the owner is very reasonable regarding pricing, and although they arent the cheapest company, they are very fair, and for the professionalism and quality of the work, I think youd be hard pressed finding a better moving company.I highly recommend this company.
I cannot say enough about what an incredible job TDY did with our move this Fall. Ours was a little bit of a complicated move, as they picked up half our stuff from Wall Street, moved our things into storage for six weeks, then picked up the other half from Long Island and finally delivered it all to our new address in Jersey City. In addition to the multiple locations and many moving pieces, we have VERY large pieces, including two MASSIVE dressers (I mean--huge), a and an expensive 8-ft mirror and many fragile items. Not only was everything handled with the utmost care and professionalism, our things were returned in the exact same condition as when we last saw them (no dings, nothing broken, nothing smelly, even after 6 weeks in storage- they keep everything wrapped and protected in temperature controlled environment. You can definitely tell after getting your things back!). The movers were absolute gentlemen, including Jeff who was our lead mover for each of the two pick ups and our final delivery.They were fast, efficient, careful, timely and absolutely fair with all their prices and practices. Not only that, but Angi (our customer service rep in the office) was so incredibly patient and helpful through many many phone calls as my roommate and I coordinated logistics.We could not be more pleased with everything and will absolutely recommend TDY to anyone. Hoping we wont have to move again for a while, but when we do, well only work with TDY from now on.
After being relocated to NY from FL, I was most worried about how I was going to move all of my things across the country. But with TDY Moving and Storage, I did not have to worry about a thing. They were on time, extremely kind and helpful and so efficient. This company proved to be the best. They are dedicated to making a long distance move a wonderful experience. I am so glad I chose their business.
TDY is essentially what you would expect from a moving company exempt they are twice as expensive. I moved from New York to San Francisco and its wasnt a pleasurable experience. They contract out, out of state moves so the people delivering my stuff didnt actually work for TDY. They showed up late and delivered one of my items to a previous customer and offered to pay me to pick up myself, 2h away from where I lived. TDY themselves are reasonable. The upper management was willing to work with a little but the people I spoke to over the phone to arrange the move were dismissive and left out key details that ended up doubling the cost of my move. Maybe they are better for local moves but I wouldnt use them again for a cross country move. Shop around, although Im not sure any good option exists.
S company who over charges and underperforms. They damaged expensive pieces of furniture and the insurance is a joke. Company also padded the bill. Staff are overworked and underpaid. The owner makes a lot of money and tries to get you to pay his staff in large tips even after your items are damaged.Alway like supporting a locally owned business, but in this case, save yourself stress and your belongings from being damaged. Go with a reputable company.Run.
The moving company was very organized and responsive to all inquiries. They delivered necessary moving supplies timely. They are better than most. On the down side, several pieces of furniture were scratched, including two very expensive glass tops and an oak frame. They were too quick on the move and did not protect valuables sufficiently. However, they did offer to fix the non-glass furniture.
EDIT: After posting my initial review, TDY got back to me, listened to my complaints and apologized for bad service. They provided some reimbursement for the second job, and explained how my case during the busiest summer season ended up not working out which was just an unfortunate series of events and would like to correct it if they could. I appreciate them reaching out to me and updated the review since then.** Please stay away! Not worth the price. They dont take accountability for lack of communication with their scheduling and dispatch desk, which led to horrible service. It took me two weeks and three re-scheduled appointments due to no shows. They also continue to charge me for storage even though I got my items out. Shop around for better service and prices. **REVIEW:I used TDY Moving & Storage to move my items out of my 1 bedroom apartment near Columbia University in summer 2018 into their storage facility. The service charge was $780 one way ($195/hour for four hours one way from the apartment to the storage location -- this was their pricing that includes labor charges and the truck for loading materials). The service was good and punctual the first time around, BUT this was NOT the case when I scheduled a delivery back to another apartment near Columbia University.- The first scheduled delivery NEVER made it. I had called in advance twice and confirmed over the phone for a Sunday delivery, but there seems to be no communication to the dispatcher about a delivery to be scheduled. I was at my new apartment waiting for furniture to arrive, only to find out that they would not show up and had to make alternate arrangements for my stay.- After spending hours on the phone going through several people, they apologized and confirmed that the next available time slot was 5pm on a weekday, which I accepted. On the day of, I waited again and they showed only at 8pm. Apparently the delivery guy was given the wrong address! They dropped off the furniture but refused to assemble it even though it was part of the contract obligation that I had just paid another $780 for!- Worse, one leg of the couch was missing and they also left some of their materials behind (tarps to cover sharp edges of furniture, metal bars to prevent boxes from folding in when stacked in storage)- After several more hours on the phone, they agreed that the furniture had to be assembled as per contract, and rescheduled the job for the following week. And to no surprise, they NEVER SHOWED UP AGAIN! The excuse I was given was everyone was too busy with existing jobs and cannot make it. Of course, now that I had paid everything the first time around, they were off the hook.- Finally, they came the following week (delayed again by 3 hours from the scheduled time slot) and assembled the bed. Note, this was 2 weeks since the first delivery/assembly was meant to be done. I overall spent about $4000 for delivering to storage, storage for 1 year, and delivering back from storage to my apartment. I realized I would have been better off buying new furniture than dealing with the hassle. They did not even offer any compensation for multiple no shows and mishaps.- STAY AWAY!

These movers were on time, professional, effective and under budget. Our freight elevator broke the night before. These guys didnt bat an eye, planned and efficiently used the small passenger elevator and the stairs. Still finished an hour under estimate and saved me a couple hundred bucks. I was quite satisfied with the service provided and will use them again .

I love TDY! They made multiple extremely difficult moving jobs as simple as they could possibly be. And the price is so reasonable - Im floored by how TDY is willing to negotiate to meet customers needs. We had to navigate a heavy load from a Brooklyn brownstone to a Harlem rooftop apartment, all with narrow stairs, and then two more jobs with the same heavy load the following week. Im so grateful to Sadik and his team, as well as Adam in TDY headquarters, for helping out two young girls with budgetary constraints. I will use them again and again. TDY is without a doubt the best!
Made an appointment with Adam to move my office from Queens to Brooklyn. He set me up with a date and quoted me a very reasonable price. His men were friendly, prompt, & efficient. This is the first time that Ive dealt with a moving company and was left completely satisfied. I will definitely use them again & highly recommend them!

Horrible experience! The movers damaged many pieces of our furniture! They broke dishes and lamps, ripped lamp shades, and scratched our mirror. They also forgot pieces to our bed frame, causing other wood pieces to crack. We paid a lot of money to have most of our stuff ruined. They acted like they were in such a rush and were very careless. This is their job! I was extremely disappointed. I do not recommend using this company, especially if you are moving a decent distance.
I only have the best things to say about TDY Moving - they accommodated my move with less than a weeks notice and provided competitive pricing in the market. The onsite team were timely, polite, and incredibly hard-working and efficient - this was easily the best move Ive completed, thanks to TDY!
They came to my apartment at exact same time. There was a minor communication misunderstanding about the quote prior the move, but it was not significant and got resolved right away. Total time for the move took extra one hour than the quote due to some unexpected highway traffic and I had to pay extra amount for . But I got refund for that which I highly appreciated. They also helped me packing/unpacking and made the move very easy. They are very professional and definitely recommend their service.
The movers were punctual, professional, and completely reliable. I highly recommend this company. Not that I like moving but if I have to do it again, I will not hesitate to call this company for my next move. My previous move (with a different company of course) was a disaster and this most recent move was the complete opposite. More than five stars!!!!!!!!

The best ever moving company in the world, I must admit. I had my cast iron clawfoot bathtub that weights 500kg (250pounds) moved out. They disassembled it the best way possible and wrapped it up perfectly. TDY guys: Adam, Sadik and others, are impeccable in their professionalism, doing the job in the most efficient way. They are extremely kind and hospitable and most of all, such lovely people. Theyre such a pleasure that I do wish that I move something everyday. Alas, its only when the 500kg bathtub is around.

Just writing full details of what happened here, hopefully is completely unbiased and take it as my 2 cents–Everything was packed and moved very professionally and timely, and I believe Ive given the laborers a hefty tip for the day. Its just the communication between the dispatch and the workers may have some problems to sort out– I am writing this in hopes that they will fix the issue and wont affect future clients.When I asked for the quote, I repeatedly mentioned on the phone I will need certain items to be moved to the basement for garbage. Shortly after they asked me to send a list for records and deposits, which I did wrote up an estimated amount of boxes/furnitures and written the garbage disposal again in the email. On the day of the move, the laborers arrived, Ive briefed them again for the disposal plus an additional request to just leave 2 cabinets onto the curb for someone else. I guess the communication was lost, I had to run early and didnt supervise until the end. They ended up leaving everything on the curb and was left there for the day.Next day for me, everything became messy with the condo management because of the debris. I came back all the way to Brooklyn to clean up the mess. Extra money was spent. Im just writing here to let everyone know, my loss your gain.
Overall decent job, felt at times one mover was procrastinating since they bill for extra hours. Also hit us with a surprise $150 “materials fee” that was not explained ahead of time.
Well , I have to say, I appreciate these guys, they worked with me for 4 years, to handle payments ,keep my stuff, and make sure everything went smooth.When it was time to deliver they, brought everything in nicely, The moving men were gentlemen, and fast. Movers were pleasant but when I went to pay their was a slight discrepancy in regards to paying for a fee I wasn’t aware of . I was under the impression when I spoke to the sales person the clock started when the workers got there and clock ended when they finished putting everything together. After Paying 1300 of paid work time they added an extra $150 for moving time which wasn’t explained to me in the beginning . I do understand misunderstandings happen but after calling angry and annoyed almost 3 weeks later never had a follow up call or nothing .communication is key and didn’t feel as if I got that aspect of the service.

Ian and the guys did an incredible job, they were right on time as promised. Friendly, courteous, and importantly clean. Ian was very helpful in helping to take apart my bed frame and headboard. Everything was excellently packed and safely transported. This was a huge help to me today as this is a very stressful thing to go through. I also learned a lot from them also (ex. Do not pack your clothes in large bags thinking they are easier to transport.) It is much easier for them to carry, pack and stack boxes. Ive never used a moving company before but my back is just not capable of lifting what I used to be able to. These guys were awesome!!! Very quick, very professional, and managed to have trucks outside my apartment within an hour of calling. I recommend these guys to anyone looking for the best bet for your buck!!!
I had a terrible experience with TDY. I moved across the country and had asked them for a quote. They gave us a fair price but after moving all the furnitures in the truck, the rate had litteraly doubled. We were just given new informations we never heard before and were forced, at this stage, to pursue.You can imagine the feeling...The furnitures were delivered in good shape, thanks god but had we known and had we had all the information upfront it would have been a completely different story...

Do not call these people they will try to RIP you off with their outrageous prices I have a 5x 10 storage with a mattress , 2 tvs water color and bins and bags of clothing equal or less to 15. I wanted it moved 5.6 miles with no stairs involved. He told me I needed 3 men for a mandatory minimum of 3 hours($134 per hour) plus a mandatory 1 hour of driving which we all know it doesnt take that long to get that distance. Grand total was over $500 for a job that can be done by 2 people in 2 hours . I got quotes half that price or less .
What an incredible group of genuinely nice guys! Mars, Jay, and Tyson were the absolute epitome of professionalism and personable. That is not an easy combination but they nailed it! We moved from NYC to the suburbs of Philly. The guys were fast, professional, and knew how to deal with loading a truck on a city street. They beat us to the house and had everything unloaded by the time we pulled up. I would recommend TDY to everyone! Thank you so much for making a difficult day easier.
If I can rate less than one, I would! Very disappointed with this company and it’s service. My boyfriend and I, did move to Florida almost a month now, and we haven’t receive out stuff. Not to mention that the crew that pick up our stuff in NY was a kind of rude and we had to leave things behind. After conversations with one of the owners (Michael), they agreed to charge $2,400.00. My boyfriend paid the half with the commitment to pay the other half at the delivery in Florida. They said that will be delivered in 10 business days and this happened on June 20. Once we got to Florida, my boyfriend called to al if he can pay the other half in a check. Then Michael call him to tell him that it was a ” mistake” in the matb and wanted to charge $1,800.00 ($600.00 more upon delivered ). That was not specified in the contract. He blamed the mistake in one of his employees. My boyfriend files a report to the BBB cause they wasnt honor the contract. The last communication we has, was from Eddie the other owner which with the attempt to withdraw the report from the BBB, offer to deduct the debt from$1,200 to $600.00.My boyfriend asked about delivery day and it was two week ago. To this day, we havent received our stuff, just excuses that they are short of staff deliver.

Update 10/28/15: The owner Ed called me this morning and apologized profusely for what happened. Said he did not know about what was going on (the calls were not routed to him). Also vowed to improve the company’s policy and give his cellphone number to all future customers so that they can contact him directly with concerns. I appreciated him reaching out and believe that he genuinely felt sorry for the way things were handled...seems like a sincere guy. He even offered to refund part of our payment which we also appreciated. THAT’S good business.10/27/15: I took a week to calm down before writing this review to reflect on my experience and hopefully write a more balanced review. I was moving from New York to Georgia and so researched moving companies since I had some furniture that I spent a lot of money on and I didn’t want to risk friends helping me move them. I interviewed 3 companies and decided to go with TDY because the reviews online were great and the price was competitive. Well now I know the price was too good to be true. I had to change my move date several times which they accommodate without any problem. I continuously remind them of us not being available the first 5 days after moving for delivery and on Saturdays because it’s our day of worship- this they said would not be a problem. Things started to go downhill on moving day as when they arrived they told us that the cost of the move would double from $1100 (what was initially quoted) to $2300!! because they did not know about a storage unit in the basement. I explicitly told the person about the storage unit and the approximate number of boxes there when she did the initial proposal (she did not have time during her evaluation to see it...in hindsight I should have insisted she see it). Given that we were now in a time crunch we stupidly still went ahead with them and now instead of using cash to pay half on pickup and the other half on delivery, we had to use our credit card and pay the FULL amount upfront per their policy since we did not have that kind of cash available. Prior to pickup and even on the day of delivery we were quoted 3-10 days delivery time. We got a call 1-2 dys after pickup asking if we were available to accept delivery in a day. We reminded them that we stated on numerous occasions before pickup that we were traveling for work and not available until 5 days after. I guess that was our missed window because after multiple calls to their dispatch department to find out what’s going on with our stuff we would get vague replies that it will be delivered soon. The phone was answered by Nigel who was polite but unable to provide any information so I would leave message after message for the boss” Adam who would then take days to return my phone call. Fast forward 3 weeks- we were relieved to get the call that our stuff would be arriving soon. The 2 people who delivered our items were very polite but dropped several boxes and stacked heavy boxes on top of boxes clearly labeled FRAGILE. After all of this frustration I now have my most prized possession, my china cabinet, that I wanted to protect the most ruined. The doors and shelves were taped together with duct tape (by their moving personnel) so the wood is damaged when the tape was removed. Pieces were also missing so that it can no longer be assembled (their personnel tried and stated this fact as well) and the sides had big pieces of wood chipped! I also have chairs with a broken back and foot. 2 bookshelves and a lamp totally destroyed, a box of china that I received as a wedding present with all plates and cups broken! Even with all of this I never once received a call from TDY apologizing for any of their mis-steps and damage. I am looking into any legal action I can take including following up with the BBB but would definitely NOT recommend that you choose this company.
Mu mother Clarisa Aexander used the service for this company. They are so efficient. We used them in less than 24 hours they had everything moved. Angie did a wonderful job. My family could not have asked for more from the office staff and the movers. They are very courteous on time and will recommend them to any one.
The guys were very professional, thorough, kept a smile throughout the move. Moving can be quite stressful. They actually took much of the stress out of the move for me. I have used them twice already. I will use them for all of my moving needs. I highly recommend them because each time they exceeded my expectations.

2022-02-28I had hired Adam, Ross and their team from TDY to packup my home and move to storage facility. They were kind enough to manage all things on time. They also arranged storage facility for me which was excellent. I recently spent a year abroad and had put most of my furniture in storage as per the recommendation of a friend. I was very pleased to note that my belongings were well taken care off. Highly recommend them!

2022-02-20Was lucky to hire TDY. I feel privileged that I could get an appointment by them on day and time of my choice. All the hype about them is really true. They were very friendly and very skilled. They worked very quickly to accommodate me. Every step they took in packaging, loading and unloading was in line with their Sops. They practiced all health abd safety protocols too. I would recommend them, and I would use them again. Lastly, pertinent to mention that we were dealt by their manager Ross.

2022-02-07Not happy and not a good experience overall to how my service was conducted. All my requested things were not all moved, time waisted, hidden fees/ different calculations fees at the end, aggressive tip request upfront and lack of accountability taken after reporting an incident by their movers and property damage. Better is needed to ensure team works does occurs during the moving process with movers and reimburse customer timely, properly for any minor or major damages instead of trying to send the same person who created the damage. Not respectful, not a good option and unacceptable!

2022-01-18I was extremely pleased with TDY moving and storage! I was given plenty of notice the movers were on their way. Everything was packed up and moved in a safe and professional manner and movers were very courteous. Best price and great value, highly recommend.

2022-04-21If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I scheduled TDY to move my daughter to her new apartment in Bay Ridge. They were on time, fast, professional and so great to work with. They even rebuilt a cheap dresser that basically fell apart (which was not their fault, it was just put together wrong). The pricing was reasonable as well. I would not hesitate to use them again.

From my first contact with the call center - where Sara assisted me in making my reservation, assessing the logistics of my move, and developing a reasonable and realistic estimate for the cost of moving my belongings from New York City to San Antonio, TX – I knew I could rely on the quality of TDY’s service, and I was not disappointed.On the day of my move, the movers (Mars, Jax, & Maino) arrived on time and ready to work. They were very helpful, courteous, and informative throughout the job. They assisted me in wrapping my more delicate items and were very efficient in loading them into the truck.While I was initially told that it would take 2-3 weeks for my belongings to arrive, I was surprised (and relieved) when they arrived in only 9 days. 2022-03-30The movers were very nice and gave a solid effort, but they placed a Nordic Trak elliptical on a dolly that was left unattended, which then rolled down the driveway, hit a curb, and fell right over. A few pieces broke off, and I couldnt test it out because Id need to assemble the equipment (which would take a couple hours, at least). The foreman was very nice, and suggested I call Adam, the owner of the business. I called yesterday and left a message, but havent heard back yet. Im hoping they will be responsive, because theres a decent chance the equipment was damaged. Also, one of the workers was smoking while on the job which was a little off-putting. But they were nice overall and worked very hard.
