This review is 5 years late, but I plan coming back today for a computer repair. These guys are actually amazing - they are real, genuine people who genuinely care about your satisfaction as a customer. They don’t operate like most tech stores with a hundred hoops and laters, they talk like you and I and kinda feels like an uncle of yours got super tech savvy and now wants to help you with your tech needs :)
Great place with great people. I have brought my computer in twice now, once for a repair and once for upgrades and I was happy with their work both times. My brother in law went here too for a cracked screen/leaky battery and he was super happy with how quickly they fixed his issue.Highly recommend coming here if you are a PC person but not too sure on what to get/do, they will guide you in the right direction and help you on the way.
Outstanding job fixing my son’s gaming computer when he got a virus. Very quick and efficient and had the computer running better than it did before the virus. I highly recommend for all your repair/fix needs.
I bought a old rotary phone into Tech Boys in the Sayville shop hoping someone would give it a try to fix. The owner of the shop pointed to Rich in Tech Boys Patchoque that he recommended may do the work. Rich said it was something new to try and gave it a go. Rich is Awesome!! The Bell rotary phone rings, takes and receives calls. I appreciate the experience and the outcome of something that was special to me it was well worth the journey.

I have found Tech boys in Patchogue to be competent, honest and reasonable. Back in November my computer acquired a serious virus so Rich wiped and reinstalled my HP software. Since that time I have returned with a variety of smaller often unrelated questions. Because of my advanced age I have a lot of questions. He always patiently takes the time and has not charged me anything since the original problem. Very generous I would say.
Shattered my glass on my iphone. They repaired it, but it still wasnt working right. They guarantee there work for 60 days, so after 3 weeks I stopped in and explained the issue. The owner is professional and I have to say, after being in customer service all my life, I work for the # 1 customer service airline, he went far and above which is hard to find these days!!! I HIGHLY recommend this business, workmanship and service!
I think anyone who works on a computer whether it be numbers, text, or art can imagine what it would feel like to not have backed up in awhile and have your hard drive take a huge dump. Its an unbelievable sinking feeling to think you have to redo everything youve done in the last 3 month, 6 months, or in my case, 380 days. Thank God for Rich and everyone at Tech Boys Patchogue. Not just for their quality of work, ability to help me understand what happened, why it happened, and how to prevent it, but for the price. I talked to 4 other long island recovery/tech specialists and Tech Boys price blew them away and I didnt even have to tell him I found a certain price for him to beat it. Simply, he just isnt trying to kill anyone on money. They really know their stuff over there, super nice guys, and super affordable. So, before you freak out, before you go to best buy and spend thousands on a new computer, talk to Rich over at Tech Boys. Hell save you money, hell save your data, and when you get your machine back (mine was a complete rebuild and data recovery of 500GB and i got it back the NEXT DAY) it will be running like a beast! My battery even lasts twice as long! Ill never go anywhere but Tech Boys for any of my machines. my laptop he rebuilt is a 2012 and Im about to have him bring my 2006 Mac Pro back to life. If youre looking for someone to build you a custom PC to your specified liking, without killing your wallet, go to Tech Boys. I was in a jam with online college, my current mac book couldnt support what I needed for online classes. When I went to the corporate stores for an all in one PC, the prices were very high in my opinion for what I was going to get out of the all in one PCs specifications. I found Tech Boys online, and so glad I did. He was able to build me a PC capable of school and gaming ( I am a gamer and had a long talk about that aspect of my PC ) for an agreeable price. I have had my PC for about 4 months now and I am still above and beyond happy with what he was able to build me for the price. I will always go back here to upgrade my PC. The owner is very knowledgeable and experienced, and told me he personally preferers building great PCs for people, and he proves it.
Have been dealing with Rich and the guys at Tech Boys for a few years now for all my business computer/network issues as well as for repairs to my personal lap top and my cell phone. They are always quick to respond to our calls, very helpful in resolving any issues we have and great to deal with. I wouldnt use anyone else!
I wish there were more stars I could give! I’ve been coming to Tech Boys for a couple years now and honestly they NEVER disappoint. Rich, the owner, always works with me for whatever it is I need. I’ve gotten numerous items fixed from phone screens, to my laptop (even retrieving a 25 page term paper I thought was lost in the ethers; how you guys did that is still beyond me!). Tech boys works with anyone and everyone. They’re very patient and knowledgeable, which is a big help! I’m also buying a new home and plan to use their service for camera installment to make sure my house is always protected! Do yourself a favor and please check them out! Built a custom PC and it wouldnt boot so I brought it to these guys and they were able to fix it for me very quickly. Rich the owner walked me through what I did wrong and installed Windows 10 as well.When I went to go pick it up (dropped it off Saturday and was able to pick it up in the afternoon on Monday cause they are closed on Sundays) Jesse and Noel walked me through what they installed and everything. When I brought it back to my house I had 0 troubles starting it up. Works like a charm.Excellent customer service and overall everyone who works here is very knowledgeable. I would recommend to give them a call with any tech related problems.
Absolutely recommend!!! Rich fixed my daughters iPhone XR that was totally smashed n crushed, in less than 20 minutes!! Theyre very reasonably priced and have everything you need (covers, screen protectors etc.) right there in the store!! THANK YOU!
I have received a negative attitude from the workers multiple times and I know others who have gone here and have had a similar experience. They lied about the damage on my screen and tried to convince and up sell me over $100. Overall, poor attitude and poor service. I have been meaning to leave this review for a while. I am expecting a snarky remark from the company after this review :)
These guys are the BEST! I mean that, my dell xps desktop, i use for work...one day it booted up with only a black screen and white cursor. I went to geek squad, they couldnt help me out and another company, they couldnt help either. Jesse & Noel are amazing! friendly, great customer service FAST! and keeping me posted periodically through phone calls. These guys really know their stuff. Do yourself a favor and choose these guys, the absolute..most impressive computer repair place i have been to. I was amazed at their incredible service.

These guys where great. I was reccomended by a business friend who used them for there security system Installation. They where on time , very professional and informative at the appointment and we hired them after several other estimates.Pricing was fair and work was spotless. Brought my phone to fix the screen that worked TOTALLY fine but was just cracked an now the phone been bugging out ever since...battery dies in less then 5 minutes and when u plug it in to charge it says plug into itunes...can swear they switched my battery with an old one or something because when i got the phone back its like the battery was unplugged...u dont gotta touch the battery to switch the screen.....switchin a screen shouldnt cause these problems its soooo annoying...guy at the place is like i can put the old screen back on if u want....no help at all...worst mistake ever was taking my phone to this place....to answer ur question yes im sure it was patchogue tech boys...
Coming in without a prior call my laptop fan needed a fix after it has started making a grinding noise. They fixed it immediately and for a quality price for the speed at which they worked. Highly recommended and they are very courteous!

Technicians are always ready & willing to help with whatever needs to be done. As well as being very courteous. I would definitely recommend them if u need any kind of service.
Had to fix a laptop computer screen (non touch). The price was very reasonable. The service was extremely fast. The part had to be ordered but even that only took a day. And the techs were friendly and patient. Before you replace a tech item, consider an upgrade or repair.
Mike and Rich are very knowledgeable. Laptop had crashed during Windows 10 upgrade. They discovered it also took down the hard drive. Fast service at a reasonable price. Initial analysis was received within hours with an accurate estimate of the repair necessary. Highly recommended.
Tech Boys ! The Name Says It All!!!!Stopped in to see Rich with a few year old gaming pcThat I was looking to upgrade for Christmas. After a half hour of talking with Rich and his computer Guru Noel we had a plan to get some great upgrades that fit in my budget! I was @ Tech Boys in Patchogue on Tuesday 11/21/17 and I thought I was going to cry when I arrived with my phone which had reset by itself, froze and was very hot. I use my phone for my self employed work and has very important information on it and cant live without whats on it like so many others out there. The technicians where amazing! So calming and knowledgeable. Took care of me right away and it was extremely reasonable pricing that I gave a tip as well. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. They were my Angels that day.😊😊😊😇😇😇 Cant say thank you enough.
I dropped off my laptop 8 days ago having paid over $300 for a service that the guys said they could easily perform. After looking at my laptop the guys said they could wipe out everything and install Windows 10. I received a call yesterday (one week from the day I dropped it off) from Anthony who now tells me he cannot get windows 10 on the laptop and my only options are windows 7 or 8.1, I reluctantly agree to windows 7. I was told I would be refunded for the Windows 10 software and my laptop would be done today. I will update this review after I get my laptop back. So far.....extremely unhappy.

Rich and his staff are miracle workers! I own a small prop rental company and took Rich several remote control Rose Props for Beauty and the Beast that I built 10 years ago. We rent them quite often and they werent working well any more. Rich searched and located some old parts to fix them, so I could get out some immediate rentals. However, he wizely suggested we rebuild them with new technology. Now, they work amazingly well! My clients are really happy and so am I. I bring all my tech repairs to him. The prices are reasonable and he works fast!
This place is amazing. My Ipad screen stopped displaying and I waited at the Apple Store for nearly three hours to review options. I was told that repairing it was not possible.. I could purchase a refurbished one for $299 with only a 90 day warranty. But I would have to download all my settings from the cloud and I needed it for work immediately. Rich the owner at Tech Boys, repaired the IPad within 24 hours for less than half that price and its like new again. I like giving my business to a local guy rather than a large corporation--especially since the service is excellent. I will be recommending Rich and Tech Boys to all my colleagues and friends because they are courteous, professional and very competent. You cannot beat that combination.

Had to switch main board over from my cracked beaten up s10+ to another s10 in better shape. Tech boys was awesome and able to do it all same day and even switched over a few other things that the phone need as well. All for a great price. GO HERE NOW!
Richie and the guys at Tech Boys are my go to guys when it comes to all my laptop and phone needs! Purchased a refurbished laptop, he upgraded the hard drive to solid state, more memory and cleaned it up and set it up for what I needed from it. Most trust worthy guys around! I send all my friends to them, and Richie always does the right thing!
Rich was very honest and comminuted everything going on with my device step by step and was very quick to respond with any questions and concerns I had. He was the ONLY one willing to help me with my issues after being told there was no hope to have them resolved by a number of other places. If i could give 10 stars i would! I had a problem and Rich had the solution, fast and at a great price! I had a broken laptop screen for my HP Elite x2 and RIch stated it was going to be difficult to find the part and get it repaired fast. However, after he did a little digging he found the part and it arrived faster than we botrh anticipated. When i came in to have the work done he stated that it could be a few hours. I ran to Staples to grab some other items i needed and within 45 minutes Rich called me to advise thast the computer was repaired and for me to come back in. AMAZING !! Rich is my guy for any repairs and i sugges the should be your as well!! Thank you RIch!!
Worked with me, put 60 down they called me back 2 days later and said your screen is here? Was amazing to see it was half the phone, half an hour later my phone was brand new again except for my charging problem which they overnight my charging part and said its going to be 20$ Next day my phone was Better than when I bought it 2yrs ago! ( quick charge ZMax. Pro) they even told me Dont worry about the 20$ when handing me my phone? Awesome thanks!!!
Rich at Patchogue Tech Boys was the nicest, most patient young man to deal with! He called me right back when I left a message on their machine off hours.He was able to retrieve ALL my data after salt water damage! He was helpful and honest. Recently I had an issue with my cell phone. My phone is very important because it’s a part of my business.I went to Tech Boys .They were so kind, and worked on my phone right away to fix the problem at a very fair price. I highly recommend them!
I really appreciated their honesty. I just called them to see about getting my Asus MemoPad screen repaired. He checked his available prices and told me that the job, including parts and repair, would probably cost $130-160, and that he probably just recommended I look into buying a new tablet, unless I found a used screen myself for much cheaper.
Had an issue with my personal pc brought it up to the shop for them to look at, within 20 mins i had it back in my hands. Super fast service and communication would highly recommend this location to anyone in the area with pc issues in your life 10/10
These guys are the absolute best!!!!! I had cracked my screen just before leaving for my honeymoon. I couldnt see the screen at all and my volume suddenly stopped working as well. Not only did the fix my phone, they fixed it after the store had been closed. They really went that extra mile, were being courteous and very fast while giving me more than I had went in for. I cannot thank you guys enough. There is no one else I would recommend using for phone repairs. Phone has been working like new again.

Theyre way too expensive. I went there last year to find out if there was a way to transfer my info from one phone to another. My old phone couldnt charge because the phone USB pin was broken. When I went in they were rude & didnt really want to help me. I got very angry & told them if they didnt want to help me to just tell me, dont walk away & ignore me. The attitude changed & one of them came back to the desk & asked the other 2 guys if they had any ideas. They figured out how I could charge the battery, put it back in the phone, & transfer my stuff from one phone to the other. They sold me this battery charger, for $25+. Afterwards I found out I couldve gotten it for less then $10 on Amazon. The place is dreary, messy, & the first time I went there, their prices were so outrageous I just said thanks & left. I really needed to get the info from my phone this last time, & I can tell you it was absolutely the last time Ill go there. Theyre rude, I wouldnt want to leave my phone with them, not helpful, ripoff artists.

I fell on the ice during the last snow storm and cracked the screen to my iPhone 6+. Called on Monday morning and the phone was fixed 20 minutes later! Excellent job! The screen is usually 100$ online and typically same to install! 195 later and Im back in action! Pricey but worth it!!

This is the second time I used Tech Boys. My Android phone crashed and Rich was able to get me up and running with a walk in. Both times I have used them service was fast , good and reasonably priced.
Rich was very accommodating and professional. They managed to pull all the data off of my very dead, salt water logged, iPhone 6. On top of that, once I had a replacement, they restored it to have all my data and I walked out of there with a carbon copy (data wise) of my pre-damaged phone. Highly recommend these magicians!
Had them recover a fried solid sate hard-drive. I couldnt be more happy. The fee was reasonable and they recovered and organized the entire drive. not an east thing to do well. Good job. I highly recommend

I have worked with TechBoys a bunch of times, Sayille and Patchogue locations. These guys know their stuff, and they wont kill you on price. I am a computer science major, build my own computers and all that, and TechBoys is where I bring my stuff when I am having an issue I cant figure out on my own.
I live in Sayville and have had nothing but great experiences in the Tech Boys Sayville Store. Recently, I had a service completed on my iphone 5 and new iphone 6 + at the Patchogue store. As usual, the service was top notch! I highly recommend using the Patchogue store, ask for Pete.

2022-02-13After calling around looking for a tech to help me with my not so common water cooled personal computer build, I found tech boyz. I right away felt I could trust them to handle the job. I had a great experience and would recommend this place to anyone with personal computer tech or other tech related issues. Trusted them with my expensive personal build and tech boyz definitely delivered. Computer is back up and running like a champ thank you again!

2022-02-10I was having some phone storage issues & went to Tech Boys to get a phone with bigger storage. Rich was extremely helpful & friendly & the prices are always affordable. Rich ordered me a phone with bigger storage & helped me get it all set up & erase the stuff from the old phone. Also, the phone arrived within a week, which was perfect. I would’ve been completely lost without him! I highly recommend you go to Tech Boys if you’re having any phone, tablet, or laptop issues. They’re very knowledgeable & treat your items with great care.

2021-08-18I walked into the shop with my MacBook Pro not charging. Rich was able to diagnose my issue and give me a solution to my problem within minutes. He went above and beyond my expectations. Even recovering my files for work on a flash drive minutes before my computer screen shut off for the last time. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend rich to anyone I know who needs help with their computers!

2022-07-16Awesome place! My phone had the dreaded question mark on the battery and it shut off if it was not plugged in. Left it with them for an hour and everything is working again! Will come back for sure if ever in phone or computer trouble

2019-04-18Came in to Tech Boys in Patchogue, looking for a pretty complicated RGB build. I spoke to Rich on the phone and we set up a game plan.. of which I completely deviated from and went overboard. Regardless, once I brought in all of the parts, they went right to work. You absolutely get what you pay for. I went to them because building with RGB is way over my head and they absolutely exceeded my expectations.Jessie was who I spent a lot of time talking to and going over stuff with during the building process. This guy is the absolute best. Awesome person and the work he did was incredible. He listened to and accommodated all of my ideas and everything. These guys are great and will really take care of you.If you need something done with a computer, particularly a computer build, then absolutely go here. They are way more than just a phone repair shop. They will build you a beautiful computer.

2022-02-16I brought my son’s gaming computer to Tech Boys, it was built by my son who did a great job for his first time, but it would not power on. Being in IT myself I knew as soon as I spoke to Rich, and Rob on the phone that Tech Boys Patchogue was the place to bring the computer. Very responsive, knowledgeable, and fair prices! Computer was back the next day, and they completed the build.

2022-02-24I dropped my external hard drive and it had years of family photos on it that were so important. I spoke to Rich and he told me to bring it in and he would see what he could do. He was able to recover what was on it and I could not be happier. He gave updates as it was in recovery mode and was successful in retrieving the photos. I HIGHLY recommend Tech boys of Patchogue!

2018-02-26Went down here to get my CPU fan installed after having a lot of trouble getting it on. They got it installed in no time and did an excellent job.Everyone was nice and they had a good selection of parts to buy! Would come again.

2020-07-28I damaged the screen on my Macbook Pro and waited ages to get it fixed, knowing it was going to cost a pretty penny. When I brought it into to Tech Boys, Rich confirmed the high price tag on the part. His repair fee was incredibly reasonable for a pretty in depth job. He was very professional and communicative and had my computer back to me in record time. I feel really good about recommending them. Super experience.
