Great restaurant and prices are good! They give you a lot of food and the free refills on drinks are a bonus!*Update*I am not sure if this was just our experience, however, it seems that getting napkins are now a rarity. They only give you one, and if you request more... Its not necessarily a problem but seems like an inconvenience. Just add napkins at the table or when customers are seated. That would be nice.
While I understand that all of the cooks called out, I thought the waitress was incompetent. We got our dinners before the appetizers so she had to take them off the bill. We waited a long time for a glass of water and some butter, not the cooks fault. No apologies, nothing. I ordered a combo, but only got half of it. She finally brought the rest when I was almost done. Very disappointed
I ordered the Cobb salad. My chicken was burnt. I sent it back to be remade. By the time it was, my companions had finished their meals. I just took it home in a box.The remade salad had mostly what appeared to be an iceberg salad mix. There was very little tomato, cucumber, bacon, egg, or cheese. There were maybe 2 carrot slices in the whole salad.Next time, Ill get a burger.
I ordered through UberEATS and the pasta was very undercooked. The handful of pieces of grilled chicken were extremely dry. The only thing that was cooked properly was the broccoli. The taste of the pasta was okay but it definitely did not make up for how hard it was.
Food was cold when it finally arrived at our table, waitress( heavy set Puertorican ) was EXTREMELY RUDE, the guy hostess was extremely nice, and friendly he did MORE work than our waitress , he even came over and asked how everything was and when we told him he took care of everything , great guy. When the check came the waitress said you dont have to tip me and snatched the machine out of our hand and walked away !!! She NEVER once came over to check on us, she was busy talking for 23 minutes to the 4 girls at the table behind us . She should be FIRED !!!!
Had a good time. Came in today as the doors opened. Amanda, I believe, was our waitress. Service was fast and fresh even with multiple other tables having been filled at the same time. Solid experience. 👍
Ive ordered take out and the food is absolutely incredible and they have probably the only an Cleanest bathroom in the entire Stuysavant plaza... !! Which is very important 😉 especially after a Big Burger from TGI Fridays..!! Thanks guys for wonderful service and clean facility.!!!!
Nice size restaurant. They didnt have enough staff so longer than usual wait. The food was average, waitress was nice. The prices were decent.
Tough dry steak, cold fries and the longest wait ever. From the wait to be seated to the very end. It took 15 mins and 2 requests to not get steak sauce. The only thing wasnt slow was the chk. A 20 minute wait to be seated turned into 35 minutes and I happened to hear the young lady telling another employee we were waiting because they were waiting on more servers. My baby loves Mac& cheese and said it was the worst she ever had and shes 8. The pasta was undercooked and crunchy. Horrible just horrible. This has become a trend with all the TGIFs our family has visited in the last 3 months.
Me and my girlfriend were hungry and being 12:30 am Fridays was the only thing open. We trekked over from UAlbany to Stuyvesant plaza where the fridays is, walked in and asked if they were still open. The bartender said they were still open for takeout orders only. So my girlfriend and I both ordered small things (cheeseburger & whisky chicken bites) the bartender (you rock btw, super nice guy) got the order in and said it would be about 15 mins. This review is not for the bartender he was super friendly. However we waited about 30 extra minutes for our food to come out. And it’s 1am now and of course they’re closing up shop, but we notice a waiter walking around with a bag of food (which we thought was ours) turns out the food was for him and that’s why our order was taking so long. The cooks decided to make food for the employees before us (the customers) but okay fine that’s cool, I didn’t really care much about that. The thing that gives this a low star is the unprofessional manner of the waiter. The waiter (young guy, maybe early 20s) as he was walking out of the restaurant with his food and a female worker, looked back at me and my girlfriend as we were still waiting for our food, and flipped us off with a smirk on his face kinda like a “haha we have food and you don’t kinda thing” However the food was good though, I hate to admit it. Fridays fix your unprofessional staff. Shout out to the bartender tho, think his name is Ryan, he was awesome.
In This particular establishment at this location, the meal was trash! Undercooked, took too long to receive, most of it was cold. Dont eat here ! Waste of the and cash. I couldnt get a full refund either, brought a family of 5 , 4 wouldnt eat their food, it was too cold and disgusting as they put it. Many people around us were experiencing the same results as we watched. Horrible! Not all TGIF are Gross but this one is Hands down the worst Ive been too!
Tonight’s experience was beyond disappointing…It took 30 minutes just to order, and it was during an empty period.Our appetizers were cold, and undercooked.Our entrees were even worse, cold once again, and dry…Overall, pretty bad :/
They are the worst. We waited for our food. Then the food did not come with the topping and prepared the way it should have been. I asked the host what happened to our order, and she went to the back and never came returned.
We made reservations and when we arrived were seated immediately. We ordered a water and a mistletoe margarita. Delicious and very pretty. We ordered the signature burgers which come with bacon. We were told that they were out of bacon. We ordered them anyway. Our burgers took over 30 minutes to come to the table. At that point we had been seated for over 50 minutes. When the food came out, they told me the onion rings I ordered would be out in a few minutes. These took another 5 minutes to be served. Service was very slow. Food was mediocre.
We had jsu come from a behind the scenes tour of the Capitol. We were hungry and ready to get our grub onOur waitress Nicole is the only reason this reviewer is giving this review a 4 Star.Nicole single handedly salvaged this review on here on.My wife and I ordered the lunch specials. My lunch was fine. Both my wife and son had problems with their fries being cold. When new fries came out, they were definitely hot. Unfortunately, they looked like they were halfway burnt or just overcooked.When it was all said and done, Nicole made it right and got a 20 percent tip.I just dont agree that someone let fries that looked unacceptable come out of the kitchen in the first place.The bad thing about this is that they were NOT busy.Thank you Nicole for salvaging our experience.

Terrible service from the cooks an bartenders. Our waiter did his best but the food wasnt good and I was close enough to see an hear the bartender ignoring everyone except the people at the bar.

From out of town and looking for a familiar place to eat. Stopped by, walked in and stood for over 5 minutes and no one said a thing. I walked over and sat at the bar. I literally sat for 10 minutes and no one came over. So I walked out! Thanks for nothing!
Food was amazing cocktails were awesome server was so very nice. Bathroom was disgusting your shoes stuck to the floor the sink area was gross so I think a little attention to the bathrooms is needed a little more often
Came here for lunch today. Ordered food, mind you 3 lunch specials all sliders with fries and salad. We watched a table that came in 15 mins after us get their burger and salad before us. Along with another table get their appetizers before we got our salads. All the food came out at once and below is what I got. I think they forgot the fries. Other guest with us ask for another water and never got it.
Great date nite with my woman. Nice atmosphere and the staff were very nice and friendly, on top of the food and cocktails which were exquisite.
This location at TGI had me and my group of associates wait an hour after telling us it was a 25 minute wait. We also watched them serve other tables. Me and my associates had to leave hungry and dissatisfied after being disrespected by this establishment.
No staff 3 dinners came out at the same time mine 45 minutes later and get this no plates they put it on a platter and apologize.
Table was dirty, margherita was sickenly sweet, food was sub par. Will not be returning.

Very poorly run for delivery orders. Youll have a 50% chance that your order is correct. And they will take a couple of hours to replace it after you call to complain. As a fool, I keep on gambling because I like their ribs. The last three orders went like this: 1) ribs did not fall off the bone, I had to tear the meat off...nasty. 2) Perfect ribs...delicious. 3) Got a tasty half a rack instead of a full rack! This restaurant is very poorly managed for delivery orders. Order at your own risk...50% chance youll get what you ordered.
Worst experience at a restaurant, EVER. Where to begin. Should be 0 stars. Should have realized the red flag when there was no wait on a Saturday night. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to greet us. Another 15 to get only half our drinks. Put in the app order and finally got the rest of our drinks with our apps. Did not get any plates or silverware with our apps. Ate off napkins which I took from other tables along with the silverware we needed. Entrees took forever and not one was entirely edible. 2 fish and chip meals that were gross. 2 steak meals that were extremely undercooked. An app platter someone got for a dinner was halfway decent. A chicken sandwich that was supposed to have avocado came without. No explanation but when we asked the waitress said the avocado was hard, but offered no other solutions or apologies. Even the chicken tenders tasted like they had freezer burn or had turned bad. My daughter ended up getting sick from them. $200 I would rather have burned. We will never go back to this place.
Late visit into TGI Fridays after a long day of travel. Our party chose to get pot stickers and wings in lieu of a heavy meal. Both were delicious and dear daughter said the wings were better than Pizza Hut which translates into high praise. Knocked off a star for cleanliness of restaurant. Initial impression while we were escorted to our table over a floor sprinkled with french fries, straw wrappers, and other indistinguishable food stuff left a feeling of trepidation. Waitress was friendly and the food came out quickly. Five stars if the floors hadnt been so neglected.
Waitress was High...messed up our order; then she starts to fabricate the issue like if it was my fault! My girl friend was extremely peeved off.left a tip felt bad for her, my partner said she doesnt deserve one....but yet ive been there...she shouldnt be doing whatever shes doing.. WITHIN WORKING HOURS...food was pretty good though... NOT THAT I ATE.
Excellent location, service and food flavor. The Cheeseburger with bacon was delicious and juicy. My wife grilled salmon was also delicious.
Waited for at least 35 to 40 mins on 2 burgers and mac and cheese for a 2 yr old. The server we had wasnt too attentive in regards to checking on us. We left before we got our food.
Very disappointed, I have ordered many times grilled chicken wings and they keep making them fried just like every other place it doesnt matter how many times you repeat yourself to make them GRILLED. If it was for fried wings you can get them everywhere around the city and probably better . The last time I ordered grilled wings only a few of them were grilled and the rest , fried . If it is so hard to make them grilled do not offer it or let me know from the beginning you cant make them .
TGIFridays Stuyvesant Plaza Albany Ny.Stay Away from this place. Horrible, My family went here on 12/11/21 and the service was BAD BAD, Was not packed at all. we waited 2 hours for our food and 1 of our party members never recieved their food. I never got a drink that I ordered. the waitress never put my drink order in, when I asked her about it thats when she out the drink order in and I still never recieved the drink. I went to the bar to ask for my drink and the bartender told me that she had to wait on the bar first and it there was 10 ppl at the bar she was lucky. But still refused to make my drink.Absolutly HorribleThis place doesnt deserve any stars at all.
One of the most polite waters I have ever met. The best quality food for a tjis. I am only giving 4 stars because of the length of wait for the food.

TGI Fridays used to be a family friendly place but when they remodeled they put the bar in the center of the restaurant. My family didnt like hearing loud folks at the bar. The food was sub-par, I got the wings but I would rather purchase the ones they sell in the frozen section at the grocery store. They are pretty much the same size. If you want decent wings, go to a local pizza place, not a chain. Other than that the waitress was nice but rushed us at the end.
Forgot half my take out order. No sauce for the cherros, no side to my sandwich, and the sandwich itself was missing part of it. Ill NEVER return here, again!
They were out of everything, didnt get what we did order! Dirty!! Just AWFUL!! USE to love this place! Never go again!!!

My experience here was very good and I haven’t been out to eat in a while. Food was seasoned well and was served hot to me and my friend. Our server named Kyla was very attentive to us and made sure everything was correct and we had great conversation with her. I will be back for more !!!
The place was almost completely empty, but with a 15 minute wait because of a lack of wait staff and a kitchen that was backed up, with 4 tables seated.The management needs to get their act together if they’re going to save this place. Otherwise it’s going to quickly run out of business for such mediocrity.

My husband, my daughter and I went here for lunch today..its been 3 years since we been back to this location because we moved but any ways our waitress was super nice I think her name was Amanda, she gave us time to look at the menu we got drinks and the appetizers going, drinks were delicious husband got long Island I got the new cotton candy cosmo, so delicious! And very unique. The waitress brought our daughter meal with the appetizers which was great idea. Then we got our meals it was hot so much flavor just so so so good, they totally redeem themselves from the last time we went here years ago. We will be back. We did brag a little bit.to our friends how stinking good it was.
The food is great that atmosphere is nice , its a guy that works there I keep forgetting his name but hes a great server makes my experience great each time. The drinks are good . If youre ordering any kind of meat tell them you want it tender or it might come out tough. Always busy but its a good place .
Don’t know why this is even getting one star… but the experience at this location was THE WORST. It did not take that long to be seated even though we were initially told that the wait would be around 20 minutes- it was more like 5 minutes….HOWEVER….. the service was beyond lacking- 0 customer service…. the wait staff for our table had no approach. We waited more than 50 minutes for our “meal” to be brought to us, and we had joked beforehand that we’re gonna have our meals with our fingers. Ditto! No utensils then we had to wait for them BUT wait no napkins either! UGH! The whole experience was a JOKE. We literally laughed or else we’d have been crying. I could mention more but will end with just don’t go there hungry but maybe go with a sense of humor. 🙄
Terrible service from blue haired waitress. Her attitude was bad and service worse.Bathrooms were so nasty even though when I was In there the host was as well but they still were the same when we went back in with my daughter before leaving.I ordered the cajun pasta it usually is my favoriteBut this time it just tasted like soggy plain pasta. No bread stick that was supposed to come with it. When I asked she said with an attitude o we are l out of bread sticks. Ordered 2 desserts shesaid both were 7.19. The price was 9.79. Waited 20 mins for them. All our dinner plates still there food on table she brings them with melted completely melted ice cream I was very disappointing at this time we made her take them back I asked to remove them from my bill she still tried to make me pay for it I had the manager come and remove them. He was very nice and the other qait staff were very nice as well!!
Not good at all no one to greet us when they found someone they had no postive attitude it was like we were bothering her there food prices are outrages it was so bad for 16 dollars i got fish and chips it was 3 small cold fish patties 2 scoop potatoes cold husband got burger not good the bartender has no clue how to make my drink only good thing about this was we didnt have to pay for are dinners we barely barley barely touch and are waitress was awesome! Great attitude pleasent she was the only waitress that was really working i forgot her name the manager was great to i know places have to make cuts on alot of things but at least make the food worth the price sadly to say other people told me about this place i shouldve listen....tgif use to be the best
Ordered boneless chicken wings that were just nasty. Also had a bacon cheeseburger that was burnt. The fries were okay and my daughter liked the broccoli soup. Overall disappointment! We wont order from there again!
No utensils, no napkins, and the seating was sub par. Despite several booths being available, we were seated at a small table by the window. Mind you, this was a party of 4. Our party waited over an hour for our food. I ordered the Dragon Glaze Salmon Entreé. Disappointing to say the least. The Jasmine Rice was shameful. The broccoli was cold and bland. And the Salmon I Dont wish to mention. Tell everyone you know, this place is a must avoid. Id much prefer to be spit on and told to leave than be fooled by eating a microwave level dish.
Rewards program is a joke, so many restrictions. Tried stopping in the other day and beer selection at the bar was practically non-existent. (Offering Bud and Bud Lite does not count as “variety”)
The family and I were in the area because we were touring the campus at UAlbany. Its in a nice little shopping center.Food was good. I had the flat iron steak, everyone else had burgers. Food was very good. The place itself looked clean. Our waitress was very nice, and attentive.Only problem I had with the place was that there was only one waitress. Granted, wasnt at all busy, being a Sunday, and the college campus being closed to the students. But, none-the-less, one waitress (that I could see). Our food took awhile to get to us, not the waitresss fault. And, we ordered an appetizer, and that never came. Would of eventually came after our food, but that defeats the purpose of an appetizer, so we cancelled the appetizer. And, my younger son who had sliders, his food didnt come until us other 3 were about half-way done eating.So... good food, people seemed nice, waitress was good... but need to get more help in there, to get our food faster. 👍👍
Very nice waitress, but the food was way overpriced for the serving size. Also both of our meals were burnt on the bottom. The restaurant only had 3 tables full, so they werent busy, but were very slow! We wont be back.
I think they didn’t handle the rushes they had properly. They should have served the customers first who was waiting an hour and half each, instead they served DoorDash and other food delivery services first. The food was also burnt and wrong orders were filled, causing people to leave early. In the end it was corrected and the food was amazing like always. I mainly think costumers in the restaurant should always come first!!!

This wasn’t the first time in this restaurant, but this was our worse experience. First, after a while, they just brought two dishes without the sides orders. At this we didn’t have any silverware. Then the suppose manager came to our table and ask us about “if we have any issues”. We explained to him all the “faults” and he, with attitude try to blame us because we complied. I told him that nobody was trying to give him or give anybody a hard time. But all the faults was an employee fault. He came with attitude but we let him now how we felt at this time.
Had Jamie as my waitress just now and my pores are cleared and my crops are watered. Excellent experience💯
This is the worst eating out experience I have had in a while. Very long wait to be seated ... close to an hour. Food was ok, but took a long time to come out. Then took forever to get check. All in all over 2 hours, closer to 3. Waitress said they were very short staffed due to employees not coming back after COVID shutdown. Will not go back. Awful experience.
The only reason I am giving this a two star rating is because the food was actually pretty good. The service was very subpar, it took 15 minutes for me to get one drink, 20 minutes for my order to be taken, and I had to go searching for my waitress just to get my check to leave only for her to be nowhere in sight. Totally would not recommend going here
We arrived at 7 pm and had a 15 minute wait. We were seated and no one came to take our order till 7:42 we placed our whole order at that it is now7:55 and we just got our drinks. They. Are short handed and service is very poor.
2nd time we have been to this location. 1st time was a bit of a bust, gave it a little pass because it was extremely busy. This time is no different then the first staff nice enough, long wait to have orders taken, long wait on drinks, given incorrect and gross tasting drinks, food is gross and takes forever. TGI Fridays is known for having good drinks and food, this location is seriously lacking in all important areas of the food service industry
Food was absolutely delicious and our server was great! My only complaint is that my mom uses a walker and the hostess had us go to the second floor and pretty much just powered thru without even looking back to see how we were doing. A little more attention to a customer with a disability would have been nice. But again the food and service was top notch. I wouldve given a 5 star rating had it not been the hostess complaint.
Second time here and my last. I waited 10 minutes to be seated, after that I waited 30 minutes before the waitress asked if anyone was helping us. Meanwhile she is the only one in this area. Tables arent cleaned off, service just plain sucks! Dont have a full restaurant of people with two servers! 😒 just horrible service!
Its an okay restaurant the foods okay it fills you up, the staff is nice, but if you got a sensitive stomach I dont recommend you going there. The prices are on the high end but some are pretty low. Besides that it a okay restaurant would I recommend going there probably if I want to go to an nice little restaurant sure I would! Tootels~Star M.
Service started it good but then my steak came rare and I ordered medium rare... Took 10 minutes for waitress to get back so I could tell her... Them 20 minutes for another which was also rare... Looked at menu and my meal was not at all what was described... Them waitress NEVER came back to table...I had to ask three times.... Other waitresses... To get our check.....
Im going to give 4 stars to the associate manager. She was very pleasant and the one that waited on us. Our server passed our table 4 times never stopped. Ten minutes sitting there without even a drink order placed . She came over and took our order. Brought our food, appetizer and entrees. Always coming back to check on us. Food was very good. I wish she could have gotten the tip but said she wasnt allowed as I never even knew who our server was till the end of our meal. I was in the restaurant business for many years so service is more important to me then the actual meal! Sitting for ten minutes without even a drink order is unacceptable! But the manager definitely made things better and was wonderful after I said I would rather her take care of us the rest of the night. So thank you for making my mothers day dinner very nice!

Came here for my boyfriend nephew birthday party. Took almost 40 minutes just to get water. Silverware was dirty. I ordered a chicken Cobb salad & chicken was BURNT. Very very very poor service absolutely no training in the kitchen. Food quality was bad, burnt, dry, and plates weren’t even cleaned off! Bathroom was nasty, dirty and not one clean stall. They couldn’t even please a 4 year old guest. This was disappointing and such a terrible experience.
If Icould give it a minus I would. Stopped in for lunch just now. Sat at the bar and watched the barmaid mix drinks for waitresses/waiters, as she talked to an employee draped over the bar. I was the only one at the bar besides this employee BUT there were empty, dirty dishes on either side of me. First Icleaned thesticky whatever from the cleanest spotI found to sit. Not so much as an Ill be right with you for over 5 minutes. She came right in front of me twice and just kept flapping her jaws to the other employee. I left! Too bad, Im a GREAT tipper for good service. Wont be back!
It could of been better service wasnt good food was actually better than I expected but expensive just for two people
A little upset appetizer was good but we waited almost an hour for entrees my wife’s salmon was overcooked and burnt and my pasta and chicken was undercooked manager must have knew something was because he came out after a while and apologized without me saying anything but did nothing to right the mistake. Disappointed, use to be a good place to sit down and have dinner this was the third time we’ve tried and was not a good experience.
We just ate at this restaurant. The person who was “host” gave a very bad first impression. He was very sloppily dressed. When there were no guests to seat, he sat slouched in a chair in a corner of the entrance drinking a drink and playing with dirty rubber gloves he used to clean 3 different tables. On the flip side our waitress Ky and the manger that we we talked about our concerns with the “host” to were very professional and on top of everything. Ky definitely did a superior job under a busy stressful environment. We would highly recommend this restaurant despite the issues with the host because the manager took immediate action on the issues.
Ordered food. I live 5 minutes from them. The whiskey sliders came burnt to a crisp like little charcoal nuggets. With cheese. No type of sauce onions ect like in the description. The fried were also burnt and unseasoned like we ordered. Horrible horrible 😫
Oh T.g.i. friday’s .... the food was awful! We did a curbside order which was a fairly easy order. The whiskey glazed chicken sandwich was the saltiest thing i’ve ever tasted. The pot stickers were ice cold. The burger was burnt af and the fries were soggy. The waitress who brought our food to the car almost dropped our drinks on us, she kind of just let it go in the window. I will not be returning to this location. It was disgusting. Big waste of money.
Came to eat here today with my wife. The greeter had no clue what she was doing. She told me there was a 20 min wait and I asked to sit at the bar while our table was ready. She said sure and I had to ask, aint you taking a name for when the table is ready? She said sure, hold on..... Comes back, I give her my name and sit at the bar. She walks by unclean, empty tables. Meanwhile customers are still coming in and most walking out. She finally cleans the 2 tables and by passes us. We order and eat at the bar. When we leave, I ask her, is our table ready? She says oh your next. LMAO. I tell her you already sat 5 customers before us. Thanks we already ate at the bar and thanks for the table. Lousy host and lousy service. Props to the bartender though. He was on point.
Waited over 20 min to get our drinks then waited up to a hr and a half for our appetizers that never came… asked how long it would be and she said she would check and never came back… ended up just walking out.. would not recommend this place at all
The wait wasnt too bad but then once seated at our table my daughter and I had to wait so long for our food. Our waiter Pedro just kept forgetting us somehow. We literally sat by the kitchen.
I usually get the Cajun chicken and shrimp, but this time around I had to spit out my first bite. The first flavor I got was cilantro and the noodles were pasty and and taste plasticky. We also ordered the chicken tortellini and that was a disappointment. No flavor at all.However the bread sticks and chicken fingers were delicious.
The only reason why it’s a 5 star is because of the bartender SEAN(shawn/shaun).We arrived at here as newcomers and stood at the front for 5-10 minutes before Sean came to help us out. The wait was getting a bit upsetting.He sat us down, assisted us and apologized for the delay. Due to His personality and his assistance and the fact that he is the bartender who is also is serving and helping around while severely understaff, he made my first experience a great experience. Not to mention the amazing burger I’ve tried as well.It may have taken awhile but Sean sure as hell did make a difference. Thanks man.
We went to the Albany Fridays today. They were unbelievably out of coffee, waitress said they had been out for days. My husband’s salmon was burnt and my son’s 6oz sirloin (more like 4oz) were both tasteless and the broccoli was old. My cheesy chicken was over cooked, the chicken pieces were like hockey pucks. I told the waitress, she said she was sorry but there was nothing she could do. We have eaten at this location for years....never again!!!!!!
Horrible service or shall I say lack of! Was seated (party of 3) by the young man at the door who looked around for seating as of they were busy....literally empty! 2 people came in right behind us and they were also seated! As we WAITED we watched a waitress ask the other people what they wanted to drink. Watched them get their drinks as we continued to WAIT! Young lady finally asked us about 10 mins after we got there if anyone had come by our table. Said she would get someone. By this point another table had been seated. We WAITED about another 5 mins as we watched that table get drinks and yet NO ONE HAD COME TO CHECK ON US! We got up and left! It isnt the first time this place has sucked but its the last time I try!
Very disappointed with Fridays. Used to be one of my favorite places to go, maybe it was just this location but sesame jack strips were good but a little overcooked. I ordered a steak, 6oz, seemed more like 4oz. The temperature was correct but the meat was not quality it was very tough. My friend ordered salmon and I couldnt believe how small of a piece she got and it was overcooked. The manager did bring her another piece that was pretty good but same size. Our waiter was friendly, but was absent. I had to go find him to pay our bill in order to get out of there. I wont be returning to this establishment.
Staff did not greet us. After we said “a table for two please”, the staff took to menus and started walking and did not say one word. The waiter was slightly better but not that much friendlier. The food we ordered turned out very mediocre and not worth the amount we spent. The fries were hard and cold.Overall the staff seem very uninterested, drained and not pleasant to be around. Maybe theyre over worked or they just don’t care. Not sure but no... never again
The waiter Jonathan its absolutely amazing. Hes an absolute sweetheart. Always made sure our drinks were full and that my son was entertained and happy. We got our food quickly with no issues. Great service nice environment.
Im not sure if tonight was not their night, it took forever to get our food when there was not that many people in the actual restaurant, we didnt get our entire order. The bathrooms were an absolute disaster and like freezing in there not to mention. Was not very happy with the service at all
Slow service got take out and when I got home was missing the three different sauces I paid for. On the bright side I got a chicken 🐔 sandwich 🥪 that was amazing. Wings were killer too
Have been here 3 times. Once for lunch and twice for dinner. Lunch service and food was great. Dinner service and food was very bad. Tonight took 10 min before server came to take drink order. The coffee he brought us was cold and disgusting. When our food arrived the plates temperature was warm and the food barely had and heat to it. Was as if had set there for to long before brought to us. The server only check on us once,yet kept checking on the others in his section. He walked past us numerous times to go to the other tables checking on them but not us. Had to ask the hostess to have him bring us our bill and told her how bad it was. She should have informed the manager,yet not once did I see a member of management checking on the dining room. Will not be back.
We were charged for food that we didnt order. Which was not cool. I just saw this on my receipt, the day after. I took a loss of $13 plus tax on that. The appetizers was really good. I think everyone else in my party enjoyed the food. My Cajun chicken and shrimp with pasta had no flavor. Even adding salt and pepper did nothing for it. So I brought it home to doctor it up the way it should have tasted. Over all, the main person we brought there, enjoyed themselves. Thats all that mattered. Ill attempt to go there again another time. It had been almost 15 years since last going there.
The food and service are very inconsistent. The last time we went we had to send back a burger that looked like it had been forgotten about under the broiler, I cant believe they even sent it out of the kitchen, we sent it back and it came back after 20 minutes later raw - not edible. Our other meals were fine, just very underwhelming, the service was very slow - we had to wave down people every time we needed something because no one came back on their own once the orders were put in.
This was one of the worst places I have gone to eat in quite some time. They had hardly any staff, took forever to get seated in an almost empty restaurant. The food took forever to be served, the didnt give silverware, had to ask for it, no napkins. Total waste of time and money. Will never go back.
We, a party of 3, waited 15 min to be seated, another 15 for someone to take our order and another 40 to get our food, and the place wasnt all that busy. The only reason that I can give them two stars is because the food was halfway decent..
I took my family out for dinner, let’s just say it was so NASTY down to the bathroom. The bathroom smelled like a Porter potty, the food was rushed and not even good. Oh yeah we had to ask for forks and napkins Never again.
My steak... Sent it back to be cooked a second time... Came back just how it was sent in. They didnt even attempt to recook it.... It was room temp when it came back to me.
Steak was terrible, shrimp was not very good, wings were excellent but the celery was about a month old. Not what it used to be, oh well. Time to find a new place to visit.
So I went to TGI Fridays tonight for dinner. I asked if there was any specials and apparently the specials were on a piece of paper that was not included in the menu that my waitress had to go and get. Kind of annoying. Anyhow my waitress took our drink orders and came back with the drinks. I was disappointed that they were out of lemonade. I ordered my dinner which came out pretty fast and hot. Granted the place was almost empty. The waitress gave me my meal however she did not notice I did not have silverware. I had to ask for it. I finished my drink during the meal and wanted a refill. After waiting for my waitress for over 10 minutes, I walked to the bar area and asked the bartender to make me a refill. I was extremely annoyed that I had to get up and get my own refill. The bartender made the drink perfect. Over all, based on the recent number of negative reviews I probably will not be returning to this TGI Fridays anytime soon.
Nothing fancy here, but its a good place for happy hour with friends. It wasnt busy at all when we went, which I really liked. The bartender was friendly and frequently checked in. The wings are delicious!
It’s always hit or miss at this location. I’ve had plenty of good experiences and plenty that were a nightmare. I’ll forever be a customer because I love the Jack Daniels items. Usually if there’s an issue with the food they correct it immediately. Menu has changed a little bit since Covid but that’s mostly every restaurant right now.
Stay away from here no one seated us for 15 min then the lady had attiude food was horrible for 16.99 i got 3 little under cooked fish cold mash potatoes shape as the scooper they used and coleslaw was bad hubbys cheeseburger was under cook my sangria drink had so much lemon juice in it toke her forever to make my drink the place was dead i dont think bartender knew how to make one only best thing was the waitress she had a positive pleasent attuide and was the only one really working everyone else standing around i under places have to cut corners but this was horrible and this place back in the day was always busy on the weekends
We went for my daughters birthday in March and we told them it was her Birthday..they did a nice job singing and gave her a sundae which they never told us we had to pay for. We go to pay and look at the bill and there was a $3.99 charge for a sundae..i never asked them to sing or bring her the sundae they just did so I figured it was free just like everywhere else who sings and gives a free dessert. I dont care about paying for it but it would of been nice if beforehand they told me their would be a charge to sing and bring her a dessert. Other then that the food was great
Sitting at the bar for drinks, started with appetizers, then get a table for dinner...The fruit flies buzzing around us and the overflowing trash can was ALMOST as bad as the Potato skins we ordered..I have never had CRUNCHY Potato skins before, and i mean crunchy..Maybe the first clue to their food was the almost empty parking lot at 6 p.m. on a Friday night..Heres a thought, empty the trash can or at least have it covered and use bigger Potatoes..Glad we didnt opt for dinner, the appetizers were disappointing enough..
The service was very slow, even though there was not any people here. I ordered the rib special which took forever to get and drink refill forget about it. I was so bored with the service it gave me time to write a review. The salad still had dirt on the lettuce. But the food looks good. Thats why I gave it a three star.
We tried getting a quick bite to eat after a long day. We both ordered meals with fries, which should have been simple enough. Apparently that was not the case. Both our meals came and the food was cold. We didnt even bother to try anything else. We played for our drinks and went to the pizza place next door. No manager/supervisor of any sort even attempted to speak to us. Add to this the fact that the host sar down a couple directly behind us when the rest of the restaurant was pretty empty. We WILL NOT be going back here.

About 3 weeks later I got to the one in Albany NY and they had to remake me and my partners food so many times we just said we dont want anything besides the fries (the remade ones) the waitress was attentive to our needs but very spacey and didnt write down anything while we were talking to her (probably why it was wrong three times) and the fourth time the manager took our order, made our food, and then got mad at us when we said it was worse than before.. absolutely borendous at Albany, NY TGIF.
Onion rings were overcooked. Lemonade tasted like water. Too much BBQ sauce on their wings.
Went here for dinner with a friend. We sat very quickly and the server was great. I ordered a Caesar salad and there was not enough dressing and it was SMALL for $4.99. The sirloin and ribs were tasty however the portions are terrible. This is sad because I used to love Fridays years ago for good food and healthy portions. Unfortunately this is just another case of a typical chain going up in prices and smaller on portions. SAD! I probably wont be back any time soon.
Food was TERRIBLE!!!!! The french fries were old and stale. They tasted like they were cooked weeks ago and quickly reheated. We also received cold buffalo wings. We never received eating utensils. One of us ordered a beyond meat burger that smelled fishy. The waitress was very accommodating but i will never go back. I wouldnt say they deserve the 3 stars they got.
Places atmosphere and servers have changed from what was good about the place. Feels more commercial instead of a nice relaxing neighborhood grill. Took the servers 10 minutes to even look at us. They were about to seat us, then took care of another family that came after us.

I hadnt eaten at a TGIF in probably 10 years, but we have a group of 8 guys that get together for dinner every month and it was TGIF this time. It started off on a negative note when 2 of us were there a few minutes before the rest of the group came. We thought wed sit and order beers while we waited. The hostess would not seat us! She said it was corporate policy that we could not be seated until half the group was present! We gave her a look of disbelief, as the place was literally empty on that Monday evening and she waid the waitstaff doesnt have time to run for drinks every time someone from the group comes in. Another example of warm, welcoming hospitality from a chain restaurant! That just put us in a mindset for the evening that no one at this place really cared if we ate here or elsewhere. I could have understood maybe if the place was packed and the waitstaff were running ragged, but again, it was very empty. Things got better as our waiter was friendly and prompt, and the food was good, particulary the impossible burger I ordered. The draft beer selection was rather weak though.
Im always happy at TGIFridays. They have reduced the amount of menu items, but that is to be expected for restaurants since they cannot operate at full capacity. (Side note: I miss crowded, loud restaurants where I had to wait for a table. Dont you?) The food and drinks are always great and I have never had bad service. If you are going to Stuyvesant Plaza, stop in to TGIFridays.
There was a wait, it was worth it! Brandon was our waiter and he was amazing! It was totally packed but he stayed cool under pressure! Super attentive and so friendly. What a kind guy! Fridays is lucky to have a person like him on the team. Good was good too! Wish they had more vegan options!
The food took way too long and was a little nasty. Bread sticks came out broken in half was such a turnoff. Seemed recycled. Bread sticks and Alfredo sauce came out different times it was a mess service took way too long never again
Ive eaten at other TGI Fridays whats better than this one, my medium well Burger was well done, a steak that was ordered medium well was medium. In my opinion the cooks need to learn how to cook. Oh and by the way when it comes to burgers and theyre toppings 🤣 theyre called toppings for a reason🤬.

Horrible experience. The hostess had me on hold forever. Then hung up on me. The order was cold and it should have been fresh hot and then there was no honey mustard or ketchup. I called to complain and the manager James had me come back in for them to redo the order. Then made me wait in their lobby for another 20 mins for fries and chicken tenders.... They forgot the sauce and ketchup again so I had to wait for them to get that also. All that and the sweet potato fries are still cold. Im pretty sure they just repackaged my original fries. What a waste of time and money. McDonalds would have been better.
Tried to eat here and we were completely ignored. Stood by the door for 10 minutes waiting for the an employee to seat us or tell us how long the wait was but no one came over so we left.
Food was mediocre, mac and cheese was out of a box with some cheddar melted on top, the burger I ordered was not flavorful at all. very disappointing! Only plus was the personable bartender.
The food was ok. Not the quality Ive had at other Fridays. The Mac n cheese tasted like they just sprinkled bread crumbs on top after it had been cooked and the pasta was tough to chew. My sister enjoyed her burger though and the dessert was great. The service was eh. The wait would have been a little ridiculous as it wasnt busy but we werent in a rush this visit.

We went here on Thursday 8/29 and while our Server was AWESOME, only some of the food was Great, my Mothers food left something to be desired.My Mother treated me to dinner, and hers was simply terrible, she got the ribs and they were tough, had hardly any sauce on them and very little meat.When the Manager on Duty took them away to get NEW ribs, imagine the shock when the SAME RIBS were brought out, just with more sauce on them.The Manager tried to deny that, but there were things about the new ribs that were identical to the old ones.Overall VERY disappointed in TGI Fridays and It will be a long time before we return.
I’ve been to TGIF a lot of times and typically like it and I try to be understanding with COVID . But we didn’t have refills we didn’t have silverware , no plates waitress was very rude and short answered with us . She didn’t ask once how we were . Everything was terrible to be honest . Mashed potatoes were cold . Just was a terrible time .
Im not the one to complain but tonight was not a good atmosphere. Kids were running around Fridays like it was a jungle gym, screaming and being obnoxious. They were running throughout the whole restaurant that I had to watch every step I made. They were so loud that I couldnt even hear my friend talk nor the music playing. Im sorry, but a restaurant isnt a place for kids to run around like its a jungle gym. I understand one or twice but not the whole time the family is there. If this issue didnt occur, I would have given this review 5 stars. Besides this, the food came out fast and cooked really good. Tonight I went and got the endless apps for $10! Definitely worth trying!
Food was great. Service on the other hand left much to be desired. Wait staff only had sections of about 3 tables and were more concerned with carrying on conversations with each other rather than check their tables.
My friends and I went on Saturday night. It didnt seem that busy only about a 5-10 minute wait. We ordered drinks that took 15 minutes to get to us. After we ordered a wing platter and chicken nachos. After waiting 25 minutes(which is somewhat average) we got our food nice and cold as if being pulled out of the fridge. We informed the waitress who got the manager who told us she would have new ones out in 10 minutes. We decide to wait and after a half hour goes by we finally get the food that did not taste all that great.
There was a group of 5 of us and it wasnt even very busy. We ordered appetizers and entrees. It took almost a half hour for appetizers to come, which wasnt too horrible. However, when our food came it was completely cold like it had been sitting for at least 15 minutes. We asked if anything could be done and they said they would make the food over. We asked to just have the food taken back and ordered a couple more appetizers. Long story short, we spent 2 hours to get a few appetizers and the service was less than desirable.
My family and I always come here every couple Saturday’s for dinner. But this particular day, we sat in our spot for a half an hour, getting there at 5:00 and not being served for drinks until around 5:30. There was one person who did everything to help us, serving us and many others, since no one else was. He was very friendly, and got us anything we needed in 5 minutes or less Appetizers came quick since he was there, knowing how to actually do his job. I suggest coming when it is not busy, since they have decent food I like.
Date nightI enjoy going to TGI with my girlfriend. Their price and food selection had us coming for more every time. Let’s not forget about the frozen drinks and smoothies. I think i need one right now.
The four stars are for the manager who tried to make things right with my drink (mudslide), thank you for being so attentive in that matter. And 5 stars go to the waitress Cat, you are awesome. To watch you come in and rectified peoples order as well as getting orders out by yourself, speak volumes about your work ethics. Thank you so much.
Initially the service was nonexistent. Had to ask bartender to seat us. Good was average, no complaints. Once we got a hostess the service did get far better. Good experience overall
We ordered $60 worth of food & needless to say TGIF needs to stick to burgers & fries. My broccoli was brown & over cooked - mushy. The rice was the worst - clumpy, uncooked, no flavor & tasted stale. I would not recommend their food, neither will I be ordering from them again!
Our server, Val.. was amazing. Friendly, fast, and honestly dope. This was such a refreshing experience to dine out and not have a single complaint. The food was hot, and D.... Licious. I have to add that her attitude was very down to earth and peaceful, very polite. Only met her for an hour and would invite her to my wedding.
Awful. it took almost 20 minutes for our waitress to bring 4 glasses of water. then, she had to go find a pen before she could take our order.....another 10 minutes. Bathrooms were dirty, the floor was sticky, and poop smeared on the toilet. when our food finally arrived, it was mediocre at best. we had to take napkins and silverware from another table because our waitress was so inattentive. food was lukewarm and very disappointing....couldnt get out of there fast enough.
The prompt service and friendly atmosphere will bring me back 100 times over. I never feel out of place here, weird as i am, and im always treated as family. Their veggie/vegan options are out of sight, and their conclusions are unmatched by any chain. Finally, their Baileys Brownie dessert is the best Ive had!
Food was fantastic! We had such a great time! Our waiter was great and very funny! Our drinks were absolutely off the charts, if youre looking for a good drink, ask for a Blue Hawaiian! Youll thank me later! All in all we had a great experience, place was clean, friendly staff all around. Food got to us rather quickly everything was hot and tasted fantastic! And the price wasnt bad!

Just left TGI Fridays about 2hrs ago, it was the worst experience that I have ever had with them. The service was slow, the place was not busy at all. I think the waitress did try but had an off day. Our food came out cold or lukewarm multiple times. I ordered the spinach and cheese dip and it came out so cold I literally stuck my fingers in it to show her the middle was ice cold and she literally just brought it out to use the only thing hot was the plates. Then our food also took over 40 min to come out. My husband didnt get his app. Until after his food came out and it was also cold on a hot plate. We will not be visiting there any time soon. Especially after the bill we had to pay for food that we didnt even get to enjoy or finish. They also didnt have any To go boxes so I ate some of the cold food since I didnt eat yet and Im pregnant. Long story short we had to leave our food because they couldnt provide us with the right Togo boxes so I could heat my food when I got home. 70$ something dollars down the drain.
After making this our weekend date night restaurant for a couple of years, we ordered our same meal for takeout ONLY TO BE DISAPPOINTED. The food was dry, no flavor as if it had been cooked in the morning and warmed up. Step up TGIF, we are all in this together, cook for your customers like you want us to come back.
This is the second time that have come to this location and have been ignored by the waitstaff. Even just a quick stop to let us know they’re a little busy would have been fine. We sat for 15 minutes and didn’t even get water brought to the table.
Food was ok. Wait staff was horrible. We had a large group (11) and it was not busy and they acted very put out by us. Took forever to put tables together and take our orders. Once we did it was ok and our personal waitress for our table was good. The ones that greeted us and organized our seating was horrible. My 1st instinct was leave it was obvious they didnt want to be bothered and I should always go with 1st instincts. I wont return, there are private owned non-chain restaraunts in area that are way better. Better wake up and teach your staff how to be polite and welcoming. Instead of hanging at front door chatting and talking about people.
Place was dirty. Windows needed cleaning, table wobbled and menus were sticky. Service was very slow. Took forever to get food and it was not busy at all. French onion soup, all broth, NO ONIONS at all. Could have gotten better meal at Burger King or McDonalds. Will not go back.
Its been a while since Ive been to a Fridays and it will definitely be a long time before I go again. Prices have gone up while quality has definitely declined. I had a small chicken sandwich that was $12 and okay. The fries were stale and I didnt eat them. The service wasnt great, but wasnt terrible either.
Place looks run down from the outside, but we were immediately greeted, a waiter held the door for us to come in, our waitress was amazing and checked us frequently, making sure we had full drinks and enjoyed our food, on the way out everyone was polite and thanked us and a waitress held the door as we exited. The only thing even slightly negative is the prices (about $18 for 2 Jack Daniels chicken breasts) but completely worth the price in taste. My bf and I both agree this place had the best tasting food and best service out of every place we have ever been. Highly recommend going here.
Cant say the food was good or bad because it literally tasted like nothing! Not sure exactly how fries or onion rings can be created to replicate the taste of air but seriously, it was bland to say the very least. At least the alcohol tasted like something and my company more than made up for what was otherwise a lackadaisical approach to culinary boredom.
In general you know what to expect going to a chain like TGI Fridays. Food was standard but tasty - drinks were cold and well attended to. Overall decent experience, certain bar-staff could have been a little more knowledgeable on promotions and menu items but a more than acceptable evening for food and drinks.
Some of the wait staff is constantly on their phone. We came in to the establishment and the host was talking to another staff member (which Im assuming she was on break, because she was on her phone) but she was so distracted that when the hostess was trying to show us to our seat, the young lady was so busy with her phone.. she was blocking the way w/out a care in the world!. Food was ok and the waitress we had was very nice and attentive. (Hence the 3 stars)

Newly remodeled (fall 2016). Clean. Staff is friendly, and the food is generally good, especially when compared to other chain restaurants. Love the fried green beans. My son really likes the ribs, which are just about as good as you can get at a non-BBQ place.
The food wasn’t that great but i loved my server kyla and if i ever come back i’ll request for her to be my server again!!
Nice atmosphere and layout in this Fridays. Service was great, waitress was super friendly. Food was hot and tasted great! Other Fridays in the area Ive been to lately have been slacking, but this Fridays was great!

2021-12-11Food was very good. I had bucket of bones. Girlfriend had sizzling chicken and cheese which was good as well. The waitress was very polite and had a positive attitude. She was very fast with taking care of our needs while we dined in. The restrooms were clean as well which is always a plus.

2022-01-15Had an absolutely HORRIBLE take-out experience at this TGI location. I ordered curbside to go at 7:06PM and my order was supposed to be ready at 7:32PM. After waiting in the curbside area for 15 minutes, I came to the assumption that curbside just isnt a thing here and went in for my food. (Not sure why curbside is even an option on the app) The hostess directed me to the pickup area near the kitchen where I waited an additional 15 minutes before someone finally asked for my name on the order. She said they were waiting on one more item. I figured at least my food would be hot and fresh when I got it. Far from the case as my steak was ice cold. I also ordered mashed potatoes with onion rings as sides. I got about 2 onion rings (as pictured) and broccoli instead of potatoes. I left out of here at 8:03PM. 31minutes past the time it was supposed to be ready. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 10-15 minutes to Clifton Park TGI because the employees here are trash through and through

Delicious 😋😋 but why didnt they take the time to make sure celery wasnt brown and had a weird small and this is the second time I ever received celery when fresh celery and carrots are always suppose to with wings $14.03 (coupon on app which saved me 3.00) for 12wings and brown celery and the manager was even aware of the situation and was nonchalant about me telling him smh I removed the celery myself 😳😳

2021-09-18We had to get our own silverware from another table because our waitress never came back with any to begin with. Second I asked for no peppers and onions which you can clearly see on the receipt and in the picture you see it came out loaded with them in top. Shrimp was burnt and hard as a rock. Got up to go to the bathroom and the floor was so sticky it took my flip flop off. Nobody takes pride in working anymore, If you fix something you would never eat yourself it should never be brought out for the customer! This place used to be good but has gone down tremendously since the last time we were there.

2022-06-09Warning Wednesday Night is karaoke! Music was obnoxiously loud and not one light was on around the bar. Forget about seeing your food you can’t even see the menu to order it. We ended up walking out and going across the street. Friday night or something I’d be all for this but not when your just looking for dinner after a day at work.

2022-06-08Ordered curbside delivery, checked in 5 minuets early and ended up waiting 10 minutes before calling and checking on our order. The lady who answered the phone was rude and said itll come out when it comes out. Fine. Waited another 20 minuets before checking and this time the rude lady said I sent it out right after the last time you called. We still had no food. In turn 5 minuets later some employee walks up, hands me warm drinks with the ice melted in them and soggy fried food. I asked if there was anything that could be done and they said no. I was extremely disappointed.

2022-06-20Location is1475 Western Ave, Albany, NY 12203The server was great. He was doing the job of 3 people. Was the only person seating customers. Being a waiter, and also busting tables. If he wasnt doing all of that he wouldnt have gotten the tip he got because it took forever to get waited on and get our dinner, but was so out of his control. Watched him have 4-6 tables at one time also doing everything else he was. All the other waitresses had 2 maybe 3 tables and not doing anything else. The food was horrible, husbands chicken was so dry he couldnt eat it, my ribs were way over cooked, burnt, and dry. Will never return to this Location. That waiter deserves so much better.

2022-05-30Ive eaten there many times before but this time the experience was horrible. Imagine this while out dining with your children. One hour before we were served our water. Two hours for drinks to come. Gave us the wrong drink. Three hours wait for appetizers. Four hours before the food came. The food was cold and under cooked and one of the meals wasnt ready. We were one of five dining so it wasnt crowded. Then as if that wasnt enough the waiter was rude and short. when I said it was unexceptionable, He had the nerve to ask if we wanted to take it to go. We left without eating after waiting a total of five hours. Five meals in the trash. Like I said Ive eaten there before never was it like this. I cant recommend it because theres no telling what will happen. I gave it one star because the hostess who greeted us was lovely. When he noticed the food hadnt come he said something to the waiter.

2021-09-20I ordered a New York strip steak and fries, I ordered it medium (to go) and it was rare and the fries were completely saturated with grease. Just buy a prime steak at the butcher across the plaza and get 5 guys fries.
