Waitress was very nice. They were out of lemonade and couldnt bring both appetizers at once because they only had 2 fryers. Restaurant was almost empty and I see why. I thought it was very overpriced for what you get and wont ever go back. For comparable items, they cost more that longhorn, Applebees, red Robin, etc. What they called a potato skin was actually half of a skin and the boneless wings were hard. We buy these potato skins in the frozen dept at the grocery store and theyre far better. Entrees were ok but not great
Poor service, large order and the waiter didnt write the order down and he obviously didnt remember it as he came back several times to ask. Which also caused an order of the wrong flavor wings, which we had to wait for that to be fixed.Everything from the floor to the seats and tables where sticky and gross.
I ordered from this Fridays on 3/5/22. The orders taker who was a female taking orders over the phone got my order completely wrong. My wings were NOT tossed in sauce. She put the wrong size of fries in. On top of that the strawberry Lemonade I ordered was water down no flavor just color Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had an any restaurant in Buffalo New York I will never order from this place again I guess because it was at night they did not care. My came up to $88 I’m VERY UPSET. Then she had a nerve to ask me what I wanna do about an order she got wrong it’s 9 o’clock at night what do you think I’m gonna do I need to feed my kids And obviously I had to take this as a L but I will never spend my money at this place downtown in Buffalo New York ever again I do Uber eats and I picked up lots of order from there most of the order would say order was wrong. I should have known this would happen.
Ive eaten here a few times over the years when im in town. Tonights online order sucked. I ordered the combo platter, and the cheese sticks were cooked so much the cheese was not in them anymore. The potato skins had half melted cheese slices on them, and the wings were hard and dry. I suggest catching this place when their busier, maybe the food is fresher. I did watch one server turn a party of four and one away saying they couldnt take anymore guests, then a few mins later a different server sat someone else.
Was there at around 10pm on Saturday. We received our meals but not the appetizers. The guy said he was going to go check and he was resting over the counter on his phone. I order the Cajun chicken and shrimp and it was burnt. We were still hungry after we left only went there cuz Nola was booked, should have went to McDonalds.
Their Delivery Process Sucks... If youre waiting on an order they made it and gave it to someone else... Guaranteed. And theyll tell your delivery driver that theres nothing they can do about it.Dont bother ordering food thru a delivery service because theyll just tell the drivers that the customer can just call the delivery service and get together their money back.Edit:Owner Responded Ill see how it changes and review again. But by the looks of previous reviews. The management team dont care!
Ordered a center-cut sirloin medium well with mashed potatoes and jasmine rice. When the food came out the server asked me to cut the steak to make sure it was cooked medium well. When I cut the steak, blood just poured out of it, the inside of the steak was dark red/purple. The blood pooled around the mashed potatoes and rice. The server took the steak back to the kitchen, and I asked her to take the sides because there was blood all around it. When the food came out the second time, the steak looked like an accordion, the cook made several cuts throughout the meat. The sides were transferred from the old dish to a new plate. The server was polite and apologetic and removed the charges from the check. I did not get the steak at all, after 2 times I figured the cook was incompetent or tired. Management did not approach us about the situation.
I gave this place 2 stars because the food was good, however nothing else was. We walked into an empty restaurant soon after they opened for the day. We were told by the host/waiter we could not have a table of 8 because it would require him to put two tables together. So the adults and kids sat at different tables. The table was dirty, and the shelf next to the table had chunks of food on top of it. It took 15 mins to get drinks. Then another 45 to get our food. The bathroom was the worse part. Sticky floors, it smelled, garbage was full, and locks on doors did not work. The manager should be ashamed. They can do better.
It was nice to sit outside, quick service, which was great because this was a last minute thing as we got rush tickets for Aladdin so we had to make the show within about an hour or so.I ALWAYS love getting the Jack Daniels sauce on the side for burgers and steak, its my favorite.Dont forget to join the stripes club and ask for your free chips and salsa when you arrive.
The food was awful. I mean, really, really bad. First off we were in a time crunch. From the moment we walked in, we only had an hour and ten minutes to eat. I say only because we ended up cutting it close. Normally that would have been plenty of time at a chain restaurant. Not this time. We started off with two Cokes. Ever have straight Coke syrup? Well, now I have. It wasnt actually pure syrup, it had flat water in it too. So we had flat, sickly sweet Coke. Delicious. I ordered their Cajun pasta, she ordered a cheeseburger. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. All of a sudden, we went from having an hour, to having 30 minutes. After waiting half an hour, in a TGI Fridays that had maybe a half dozen other people in it, the food came. Cajun pasta. Looked tasty. Its fettuccini in a creamy sauce, with res peppers, a little spicy, with chicken, and shrimp. It should be pink. It was not pink. It was brown. It looked like beef stroganoff served at a homeless shelter. The chicken was rubbery. The dish tasted burnt. The chicken, the shrimp, the peppers, the sauce, even the pasta itself, they all had the flavor of char. How the hell can you make pasta taste like an ashtray? The breadstick it comes with was not burned however. Probably because it came out five minute minutes after the food. Im guessing it was the second one they cooked. The first is probably being used to draw a picture. Her cheeseburger, ordered medium well, was well burned. Blackened. Chared. It was tough, and looked like charcoal. Her fries tasted like they were cooked hours before and reheated. It was disgusting overall. I usually dont mind these places. TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesdays etc. Ill be avoiding this one from now on though.
WHEN I ARRIVED WHICH WAS AROUND 7PM NO ONE WAS WAITING TO SEAT ME SO I WALKED OVER THE THE BAR A NICE BAR TENDER WELCOMED ME AND SERVED ME AT THE BAR. 10MIN LATER THE WOMAN WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO SEAT PEOPLE CAME OUT THE BACK AND SAID SHE DIDNT KNOW THERE WERE CUSTOMERS THEN SHE PROCEEDED TO TALK AND GO BACK IN THE BACK AREA NOT UP FRONT TO SEAT GUESTS. I ORDERED MY FOOD AND IT TOOK A HALF HOUR I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE PLACE. HOWEVER THE BAR TENDER GUY KEPT ME COMPANY AND HE MADE THE BEST PASSION FRUIT FROZEN MARGARITAS SO THAT WAS A PLUS. WHEN MY FOOD ARRIVED MY STEAK WAS SO CHEWY AND TOUGH I COULD BARLEY EAT IT. DONT THINK ILL VISIT THIS LOCATION AGAIN
Walk in to no one at the door for about a good 5mins. Once seated waited about 20-30 minutes just for someone to come ask what we wanted to drink...but the girl wasnt even a waiter and didnt know NOTHING about the food and drinks. Then had to wait about another 15-20mins for the drinks. Once we got our food it was not what we expected at all! First plate was sizzling chicken and shrimp, the chicken breast were two VERY small pieces that were very burnt and dried out... definitely not fresh. Second plate was the whiskey glazed Burger which was also very dry and there was no glaze on it...pretty plan...and sad NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!!!!
Only giving 2 stars because the bartender was nice. My fiance ordered a medium well steak that came out charred on the outside and completely rare on the inside with blood on the plate that seeped into the sides. After requesting a refire and replate of the sides because of the nlood, the steak was returned was brought back having been completely overcooked. The chef had mutilated it with multiple cuts Im guessing in an attempt to check if it was done. But not only was it black on the outside but also partially on the inside. I ended up sharing my sandwich with him, which was cold by this point. Dont recommend going here. Horrible last dinner for our stay in Buffalo.
Been sitting for 25 minutes no drinks served yet.we ordered a soda and a water.horriable service.ok so after 45 minutes we walked out of your restaurant for no service. No drinks were ever brought to our table or the other 2 tables by usWell your customer service contacted me last week (6 days ago from today) saying management for this store would be in contact in 2 to 3 days.i guess your managers arent in customer service answering customer complaints
The service was so slow that it took hours to place our orders and receive our food. The place is severely understaffed. The poor waitress was left to serve our large party alone while the manager was nowhere to be found and offered zero help. Very poor manger! And they wonder why places like this one have a hard time finding workers! Get out there and help! Steer clear unless you want lukewarm food and a manager that leaves staff to fend for themselves.
The smallest of the chain here in Buffalo NY. Obviously due to being in a Hotel. TGIFridays is my #1 FAVORITE Go to restaurant for good eats at affordable prices. However, This location you can tell suffers from lack of staff.. long waits to be seated and get food. This is understandable with all Thats going on so my score is not based on the wait time. My Food however was NOT great.... very over cooked dry food and the taste was unlike any other location ive been to. Im ok with a wait if my food is being cooked well. But to wait so long and then have cold, overcooked dry food. Well... so again, this 3 stars is only based on my food. But I still absolutely love Fridays. I Will just stick to alternate locations.
Very nice welcome at the door, waitress was very friendly and attentive. While we were waiting for our food a woman began choking. Our waitress showed great concern and care. The manager came out and was ready to perform the heimlich. Four other employees also came to the womans aid. Once the woman was alright they brought her some water touched and reassured her. It all ended with the woman hugging them and saying thank you. It was beautiful to see! Great employees here! I will return for that reason!
My boyfriend an I orderd pasta dishes but our server came back with one dish explaining they had run out of pasta due to large party who orderd sevearl pasta dishes and they only had enough to make one dish. The server apologized and said i could order anything else on the house, I was discouraged and my boyfriend offerd for me to have his pasta dish and hell order something else. then our server called him a true gentleman and went to put in my boyfriends order. but when he came back hes like both your orders are on us! we were shocked and grateful so we only paid for our drinks. Ive always like TGI Fridays but this was amazing service and the food was super delicious. definitely going back!
Food brought at different times but everything was yummy. Done with dinner before second drinks came. Saw someone get a large piece of rainbow colored cake with ice cream. We only got one scoop of ice cream and the one we saw walk by had three scoops… not sure if person I was with asked for less? Convenient to so close to Shea’s. 😊
Got a brownie slathered in a chocolate sauce and a “dollop” of vanilla ice cream. I freaking laugh at that!!! This is not the first time they have disappointed me. The salad i got was rotten twice. A Cheese burger was badly burnt and chicken was dried out. This is my 5th time ordering. I just dont even want to bother anymore. Not worth my time to walk down from my hotel room to get a correct portion! This place needs to get a clue!!!
I was in Buffalo for a vacation and didn’t know what was good to eat we had searched and found this place. I called ahead of time to make sure it wasn’t gonna be a long wait because I had a group of 10. The manager is the one I talked to she told me it was a going to be a 30 minute wait I said okay perfect we got there and sat for about 45 minutes till someone even came over but we were waiting for the other half of our party so I wasn’t to mad. Then everyone had arrived. We sat for at least another 30 minutes until someone came over. A gentle men came over and said “your waitress asked me to come and get your drink order” we said okay gave them our drink order and asked how long it would be before our waitress wasn’t busy and could serve us” because we had decided what we wanted. Our server came over after about another 20 minutes got our order and then we waited a good hour for our food. We received our kids meals first 4 meals then about 15 minutes later another 4 meals. All 8 people finished there meals before me and my husband even received our meal it was ridiculous. I hate to be a Karen but I’m so surprised that this place is even open. We had bugs chillin on the ceiling falling into our food we didn’t even realize until later or I would of left before waiting for our food. Alll the manager could do or say was sorry and gave us 20% off. If I’m being honest I should of just walked out and not paid anything I never not tip I’m always one to be patient and everything but this was beyond disgusting and just SAD. You shouldn’t be serving more people if you can’t serve the ones that are already in your restaurant.
Table of 5, ordered drinks and appetizers first, received those and ordered food. Burger and steak were overcooked. Never saw our waiter to get refills or anything else we needed. A manager, Im assuming, came over I dont know how long after we were waiting for things to say our server was dealing with another larger table and they didnt want to overwhelm the new girl. At this point there appeared to be no one in the whole half of the restaurant we were sat at. She gave us refills and to go boxes and the check. We were ready to pay and leave and no one came by to pick up the check. We asked the hostess to run our card so we could leave. She said she had to get our server, didnt see him for another 10 minutes. Overall not a good experience.
Not clean enough. I had to ask for the table to be wiped down. Not practicing any safety standards for COVID. Ordered chips and dip and was served a communal bowl of dip and chips for the table. I had to ask that everyone be given their own dip and a small plate for their own chips. The service is slow and the prices are high. The food was nothing to brag about. I will not be returning
I ordered artichoke spinach dip to go. Sadly the chips were seriously stale beyond imagination. Did not have the energy to go back to return the chips. I’m not a big fan of chain restaurants. I should have gone with my gut feeling & not order a single thing. On the other hand, Staff was very pleasant & friendly.
I have been going to TGIF for many many years. I dont know if its just this location or what but I will not be returning, at least to the location on Main Street in Buffalo. Food, menu and timeliness of our order were not good at all. My salad was returned 3 times before the order was right. The lettuce came from a bag, not very fresh tasting or cold either. Hamburger and fries were stingy. Small, thin patty and amount of fries. It took over 30 minutes to get our food. The menu seems much smaller. A lot of food items have been eliminated. Needless to say, we will not be going back here! Very disappointing!
If I could give it 0 stars I would. The absolute worst service ever. We had a waitress who WAS DRUNK. she smelled of alcohol... even my 6 year old daughter knew something wasnt right. We waited about 15 minutes for drinks. Then we ordered and she forgot my daughters food. After 20 more minutes of waiting for SPAGHETTI which should take about 2 to 5 minutes... I asked another waitress and she brought it right out. Never came over to see how food was. Never came to refill drinks. She was to busy walking out front to her car and then texting on her phone in the middle of the dining room. Lady next to us walked right by her to go get her own wine from the bar because the lady forgotI told the manager I believe she was drunk. Doesnt seem like much is going to happen but will never be back again. Worst service and experience ever at a restaurant.
Horrible! After checking in to holiday inn Express we figured to just grab dinner here. After waiting about 20 minutes we had to ask the hostess who our waitress was. After about 45 minutes we received our drinks. We put our full order in as well as a appetizer. Our waitress had no communication skills. I had a salad with steak well done (came out bloody) and my husbands pasta was cold, no appetizer came, not to mention we waited as long as we did. We gave up red flags everywhere!!! Said we would pay for our drinks that we barely drank and wanted to leave. Just expected better service all the way around. But there was barely anybody else in the restaurant, just be cautious if eating here. Settled for pizza and wings for the night.
The hostess was great and our server never came to take our order. The hostess stepped in and got us straight. Sadly, the server never came and the hostess did everything. She was so nice and polite. We did wait for a while before we got our food but it was still good.. Saturday nights are too busy if youre looking for great service. Other than that, the food was good and the hostess had an awesome attitude under pressure! Next time I would rethink going there on a Saturday night. The restaurant gets 3 stars but I give the hostess 10 stars!!!!

2022-06-29The food was good but could have been better. Went here for dinner on my birthday and got seated quickly. It was very cold in the restaurant and when I received my food it was already cold, it did taste good and service was decent I would have given more stars if the food wasnt ice cold.probabally wouldnt eat here again after having to microwave the food to eat after we left. Wasnt the greatest end to my birthday.Yes you can send the review

2022-06-06Was dinning here tonight. The service was horrible, the food was nasty and the waitresses were not on the same page, none of them knew what was going on, total chaos, brought my food to the wrong person. Another customer lost her patience on the waitress for bringing out the wrong food to her. I waited 15 minutes just to get water, another 45 minutes for fries and fish the restaurant was not even crowed. When our food came out it was cold. I was so frustrated I asked for to go containers without eating. Our waitress was dull she clearly didnt wanna engage with us. Complete turn off. This experience destroyed my appetite and my date night. I will never dine here again.

2022-01-29The service was great and the atmosphere was good. Got there early so not crowded. The food was fresh and hot. The only thing was I ordered the burger medium rare but came out over medium well. It still had good flavor. Will have to imagine what it wouldve been like the way I ordered it. But Ill still go back

2021-12-13Ordered through DoorDash. The dinner I got was $30 for about $8 worth of food, so I know theyre not hurting for money. The wings tasted like pure fish. I hate fish because it tastes rotten to me. I dont recall seeing fish on their menu which means the wings are spoiled. I understand the price of food is high but that doesnt mean cut corners and put your customers at risk to save a buck or two. The salad was mostly cheese and cabbage, hardly any lettuce. Very disappointed. I wouldve expected this low level of service from Applebees but not Fridays.

2022-05-22HORRIBLE SERVICE. If i could tell you the name of the waitress I would. She ignored us for 35 minutes, we got water-NO STRAW, when we finally ordered our food and mixed drinks from the bar.. food was ready long before it was brought to us(we could see the kitchen from where we sat) it was cold -but by this point we were in a hurry and hungry.BTW-we grabbed silverware rolls off the DIRTY table next to us, no extra plates given,no napkins. After an hour and one of us going up to the bar we were informed by the bartender that we ordered our drinks at a bad time- his words well.. bad timing as we complained because we had yet to get our drinks. He also informed us that although he was tending the bar and making drinks for everyone else, he was not the bartender and couldnt make our drinks. When it was time for us to leave we had to flag down our waitress to ask for a check, she then brought us our drinks that were ordered 1.5 hours prior. She got an attitude when we said we no longer wanted them, and that we didnt want to pay for them. She argued with us and denied her horrible service . We could understand if the restaurant was busy, but we were seated in less than 2 minutes and there were only 4 tables total in our section, us-two tables getting ready to leave and one eating. We ended up being comped for our meal that we BARELY ate. I will never go back to this location. If you plan on seeing a show downtown DO NOT EAT AT FRIDAYS.. although its close and convenient, not worth the headache.

2022-02-24Our server and manager were nice enough but we had to send a steak back twice. The first time it was raw and the second time they just heated half of it and the other half still had raw parts. We also werent the only customers with problems

2022-04-07If I could leave zero stars I would. Went there April 1st and my family and I were served raw under cooked potatoes skins. The bacon on it was horrific looking. The service is the worst. People answering the phones are rude and Stacey the “manager “ shouldn’t even have a job dealing with customer service. I’ve gotten nowhere in almost a week and had to call corporate and leave a complaint. We were told by the restaurant they would rectify the problem. They haven’t done anything. I’m from Long Island and we eat at Friday’s often. We will not spend another penny at downtown Friday’s as long as I’m living in Buffalo

2022-06-20My daughter and I went to the TGI Fridays on Niagara Falls Blvd in Amherst NY. The customer service wasnt that great and my meal of which was the Half Rack Of Ribs was extremely disgusting. There was extremely little meat on them, they were dried out , hard as a brick to the point I almost broke the plate trying to cut it, extremely little to no sauce on the, and burnt crispy. I asked for the manager and I felt he nor our waitres didnt really care, it was like a oh well I dont know what to tell you.I informed him that I have been there on numerous occasions and the Ribs were delicious but this time they were disgusting and that I was disappointed. I never got the Chips and Salsa either, although the girl claimed that she put in the order. Overall it was a extremely bad and disappointing experience

2022-04-15Well if there was a zero i would have done that! The most disastrous evening out for years!! Cant say meal out because i didnt have one!!The server was a nice young lady, but with no support from the manager, the bar staff or kitchen!!My wife ordered tonic water, the server was given soda water and she pointed out that it was not the same. She was told to serve it because they are the same drink and we wouldnt notice…. We did! So, no tonic, my wife ordered coke. Well, I dont think they have cleaned or serviced their drinks gun yet!! Flat and way too heavy on the syrup. Undrinkable! So the server apologised and came back with a glass of water… At least the tap worked!We ordered a chicken burger and a Beyond meat burger. So the Beyond burger arrived, a shame that it was actually a meat burger!! We pointed this out, the server took it away and then came back with the same plate saying the kitchen said it wasnt and to bring it back!! I still dont have my chicken burger. My wife nibbles at the fries waiting for my meal….12 minutes later a sad looking meal is delivered to me.Enough was enough. Could we speak to the manager?? To be told “shes aware, she was at the bar when you had the drinks problems….” But she wouldnt come to see us.So poor server had no support, looked frazzled and there were only 5 other tables in…Im a third generation hotelier and restauranteur and spent time with TGIF in Covent Garden, London, UK 35 years ago. Their training program was excellent and i used them as a customer in the UK and California for years. So I dont know what ‘this evening’ was, and please dont blame COVID there were at least 6 staff I could see plus kitchen staff it was dire!!So i know where I WONT be going for an evening out any time soon - TGIF’s anywhere!!Very very sad to see such s demise.
