From 5 to 1 starsWow guys, completely unbelievable. I dont know your name other than youre likely Jims wife and Jim Jrs mom ... and own the place, but you have no idea how to treat your customers. Enjoy offering free stuff to all of your personal friends and then offering your table, after we had been waiting for an hour and told we could sit there, to your friends that just walked in. You were clueless to the fact that we had been waiting for an hour and WE were who the host was looking for a table for.Reservations for 6 or more, yet your friends that you needed to give your table to were a party of 4. We asked how many reservations were in front of us and were told there were only two, for parties of 10 and 6 and those tables were already waiting for them. When you were confronted, you lied and said they had a reservation. You continued your lie by saying that it was set up months ago.You knew we had our daughter and that she was hungry and waiting, but you decided your friends were more important and all you could muster was Im sorry to us, when in fact you should have given your friends that message. Pathetic.Very disappointed in having supported you all these years after you purchased the place and for constantly recommending you. Well be sure to tell the same people to avoid you going forward.
We were very appalled with this bar tonight. We took out food and it was packed in with people not social distancing. My husband felt very unsafe and like we could have been exposed to COVID easily. I have health issues and this is unacceptable. How can I be guaranteed the person making our food was even being safe? This is very disturbing and disappointing. While the food was decent, we will not be going back there.
My date and I arrived at this eatery around 8 pm on a Sunday. The 1st thing we noticed was it was loud. We sat in a booth in the back and our wait staff arrived immediately. We both ordered the burger w fries. Mine arrived exactly as ordered, medium rare.. Juices ran into the bun, fries done well and BBQ sauce on the side. Biting past the crispy, seasoned, coating into a delicious juicy center - perfection!!! My dates medium burger came to the table well done but because the meat was so good he ate it and enjoyed it. 4 stars because of noise level and 1 burger over done.. We will try you again!!
LOVE THIS PLACE! I went in after an Islander game with a friend over the weekend and the atmosphere was awesome! Great live music and the food was great! We had the garlic parm wings which were delicious. We both had burgers that came out cooked to perfection and the portion size was generous to say the least. Our bartenders Patty and Jay were on top of our drinks all night and were very friendly. The manager and owners were very friendly and greeted us with a smile on the way out. Most certainly will be returning again soon!
I have been a few times because I believe places deserve second chances after poor service but I can tell you now I will never ever go back. The place was recently taken under new owners and since then it has gone to the dumps. The food used to be good now awful the servers minus two ladies were awful rude and not attentive. The two female bartenders were very friendly and when asked to speak to management the gentleman who I believe is also the owner was unprofessional and discourteous even hostile from the jump without us even addressing our complaints. I don’t normally complain about small businesses and frequent them over chains but I’d sooner go across the street to Applebee’s then ever go back to this place ever again. The new owners should be ashamed at ruining this Bellmore gen
I love this place. The staff has never let me down, but more importantly the beer selection is very good. The food is amazing. Ive tried several different meals (Ive been back several times) and I have yet to come across anything subpar. All of the food, service, and beer has been exemplary.
Dec 2017-This modern pub is a great place to grab a beer, watch a game, or enjoy some fantastic food.Gets crowded toward the end of the week.Dec 2018- updateCame here on Tuesday for dinner with the wife and stayed for Trivia Night and cocktails. As always they had friendly staff and sports on the TV.Keeping the 5⭐ rating for another year.On second thought, 4⭐s because they use to have a better selection of IPA.
Ive been wanting to go here for a while and finally made it. What a disappointment! The grilled chicken was gristly, onions on a salad where they were not advertised on the menu, greasy potato pancakes, and a tasteless chicken sandwich... The buffalo chicken flat bread received a good report though. What really destroyed the experience was the service though. Our waiter disappeared twice for cigarette breaks and was generally inattentive. He didnt come by to hear that the food was lousy. After telling a few friends and family members that have been here about the experience, they were unsurprised.
Food was okay nothing to rave about. We got in and no one was at the hostess stand so I started to seat myself until some guy came up to me and asked what I was doing...at other bars I usually seat myself guess not this one... Everything was okay...the wait staff is nice though which is their saving grace. Not sure about that other guy who I guess is the owner and just hung out at the bar. I read good reviews about this place maybe it was just an off night...kids screaming as well felt more like chuckie cheese with kids throwing crayons at my back. Wont come back.
Tonight I had stopped by this location to meet a friend, to eat, enjoy each other’s company, and watch the Super Bowl. The time was 8:52 pm and the hours are listed until 2:00am. I walked into this establishment and everyone looked at me as if they had seen a ghost. I immediately felt uncomfortable. I called my friend that I was suppose to be meeting me, he walked in seconds later and one of the bartenders tells us that the bar is close for the evening, and refused to offer us a clear table to sit at. I would say it was roughly 25 people there, the bar was crowded but there were mostly, if not all, the dining tables were empty. I was confused to why, the bar was closed or why we couldn’t be seated. However, we accepted it and decided to walk to Applebee’s. We finished at Applebee’s at 10:21 pm and walked back to our cars, which we park about 20 ft in front of this establishment and had a clear view of the inside. There were still the same amount of people there. I was still confused on what was the reason why we couldn’t even sit at the table. So, I decided to call, no one picked up. I called again and as I called the second time, two individuals walked in and were seated immediately. It is safe to say we were discriminated simply based on the fact that we were of African American and Hispanic decent.
We have eaten here a number of times. Food is good and consistent. The chef is very nice - has come out to the table to check on us when they are not as busy. Although it is a pub, it is child friendly and has a childrens menu.Local tip: they open shortly after the Bellmore Theater ends the first show. On more then one occasion we have gone to A kids show, the over the 3rd rail for lunch. Its not crowded, can accommodate a large group and only a few doors away.
I ordered take out for dinner tonight and it was way below sub par. We ordered wings we never got and got chicken bites we didnt order. We were missing a salad, and the burger was extremely dry and frankly not edible. Extremely frustrated because I drove 20 min to pick the food up and got home to see all of the mistakes. When I called the restaurant they were not helpful at all and told me their machines couldnt do a credit to a credit card and there was nothing they could do but offer to help me out the next time i came in. Very angry, save yourself the trouble and do not order food from here !!!
I usually don’t waste my time written reviews but I use to love going to the 3rd rail the food was always amazing but now things completely changed the food is no where as good as it use to be my burger was over cooked my fries was very soggy they took so many things off the menu and the service was just unprofessional our waitress had a really bad attitude and there was this guy at the bar being really loud he appeared to been intoxicated I soon found out he was the owner that was completely unprofessional I don’t know what happen to this place 😞

2022-07-08The server recommended the Rueban egg rolls.Smelled like dirty fryer oil and soaked in it as my fingers were dripping with grease. The cornedbeef was hard and fatty. Gross and sad looking.Looked forward to my burger they advertise as having several high end meats but was frozen and very dry. Another big miss. The 3rd rail is just that, shockingly bad.

2022-07-06My 1st time here and my last. Went in here for my engagement party with my American friends and never had anything I ordered. My fiance had been here several times pre pandemic and really liked it here. The only thing positive I can write is the waitress was very apologetic which we tipped her and walked away. Good luck anyone who steps in there I hope they have your food.

2022-04-08Cozy bar and grille located on Petit Avenue in Bellmore, NY. This bar and grille, conveniently located next door to the Bellmore movie theater, never disappoints. Highly suggest the spinach salad.

2018-05-08What a wonderful experience. Pete the owner is a fantastic chef and a great restaurateur! Every thing was perfectly prepared and presented. The salad was fresh as was the burger. The wings are succulent and amazing. So worth the stop, and you can even go by train since hes right across from the station. Must go for a nice local vibe and bite to eat, or to simply hang out for a drink at the bar. Friendly service also!

2022-05-12Staff was extremely rude when I needed to use the bathroom, my boyfriend was ordering a beer and was told “this isn’t a public restroom” well technically it’s a public bar so yea it’s a public place and anyone ordering a drink can use the facility, he never did get his beer bc the bartender was too busy ignoring us. If I could rate no stars I would. Will never be back there again. What a joke

2016-12-11Excellent burgers and great beer selection. Huge portions and it always comes with a free macaroni. Liquor and mixed drinks are also available. The bar is almost always bustling, but I would consider it to be more of a cozy restaurant than a straight-up bar, though both are equally good. Plenty of seats and very rarely have I waited for a seat. A good place for friends to drop in and have a great meal and a good time, but not usually good for a dating spot due to the hustle and bustle (depending on the night). Live music is often performed here; its quality varies but more often than not adds to the mood. All in all, a great place to check out in Bellmore.

2022-04-24Great burgers, lively crowd, good service and live music. Musicians were very talented but a bit too loud for a small place.
