Overall our stay was okay but they did not have anything they promised available such as the beach pass ,the free breakfast ,and the jacuzzi. When we booked this hotel they literally had a picture of a jacuzzi but the room they gave us barely had a clean bathroom and a very small bathtub which did not have a proper shower curtain. It was not the worst but definitely was not what they promoted themselves to be. The pool thou was very nice.
This is a Motel, located by a very heavy traffic road so get earplugs if you want to sleep. Also rooms are not insulated so you basically have your neighbors in your room. My room smelled mildew and they were trying to cover it up by using a lot of bleach...very unhealthy too.No breakfast and terrible coffee.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MOTEL. They will blindly charge you double with zero communication and when you call to ask will blame you for not asking in the first place! No receipts, not advertisements, not invoices, just a blind charge you are unable to contest. Zero care for the customer. Defensive almost aggressive phone etiquette. No breakfast. Bar onsite that is not staffed. Rates so ridiculous its laughable.
Great room. I had the king suite with jacuzzi. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The jacuzzi was very clean and relaxing. The shower is small but doable. The staff very friendly. Great location. Close to everything. Definitely will return in the summer.
We are here now and I was very nervous based on the reviews! It was one of the nicest places we ever stayed. The room was so clean and updated. Hard wood floors, very comfortable beds! They had a great breakfast included. We stayed on the poolside and it was very quiet. The people were so nice. We did not have any issues.
Paid a lot of money for two nights on valentines day weekend (i know, prices are raised for the holiday). When i called three times to book the room and spoke to three different people, the prices changed each time. The room itself was ok except we got the hot tub room and when we got there, none of the faucets or hot tub worked. We called the office and they came pretty quickly to fix the situation, i guess the heater was turned off? Question is for how long. When we turned the faucets on, it spewed rust colored water like all night. On top of that, the ice machine was right next to our room so every time someone used it it made an obnoxiously annoying sound. Some of the towels had weird stains on them as well so needless to say we didnt use those. My girlfriend and i have stayed in a couple of hotels for far less of a price and i have to say this one was the most unappealing. I recommend finding a better one.
Nice motel with updated clean rooms and a large outdoor area. There is a pool, small volleyball court with sand and a large outdoor tennis area. The nightly prices here are always reasonable during the Summer season, its a great spot to stay at and drive out to Montauk for the day. They are also dog friendly which is amazing! My dogs loved running around in the backyard area. The only downside is that if you are staying in one of the rooms on the first floor you can constantly hear footsteps upstairs.
Only reason Id really give a 2 is because the location was in the heart of almost everything we needed. The room wasnt as clean as pictured, we had trouble accessing the Wi-Fi due to it going in and out and we were right above the office so I wasnt sure why it kept going in and out. There were holes in one of the walls which I brought attention to the hostess at the desk so we werent charged extra for damages. This is more of a motel than a motel. The price we had paid wasnt worth the stay. Our last day our bags were infested with ants on the bottom from what Im assuming was a crack in the wall.
Terrible customer service. At the beginning of the checkout when we asked could we get a second floor room, they said we have none. We didnt believe it being the off season. We asked another staff and she did help.At the time of check out I asked for a late check out due to work, and the lady was very rude and short, but gave an hour extension. After that they were breathing down your neck to check out, mind you in an off season, AND didnt even have to have it cleaned. Quite insulting. The rooms were ok. No frill rooms.
False advertising!Where do I start... was not what I expected.... whatever is being advertised they do not have! No beach passes! this place is not being kept up with. Not maintained at all! Horrible room service! Dirty drawers! Our bed sheets were not changed once nor was the room cleaned. We kept it clean ourselves. Even though we tipped cleaning staff! Pool is not cleaned at all! Horrible internet service/WiFi! All the money this place makes they should invest and upgrade.
I booked for 2 night, i had to cancel 6 days before because couldnt go for family reason and the still decided to charge me almost $500 in cancellation fees. When obviously the can get rebooked right away since it was for an August 2020 weekend (pandemic season when everyone goes to the Hamptons)Trash managing. Non sense.I understand the rules and I take responsibility but this is very sad rip off. Be careful with the Karma.
Nice cozy comfortable clean hotel with a touch of delicately design and soft colors that blends together, offers tranquility as soon as you walk in your room, you could definitely unwind and relax on the cushioning bed or just sit and enjoy a movie, listen to the radio or CD thats right by the night stand.I like the composition of the rooms and the price its just perfect. Thumbs 🖒🖒🖒 🖒☺ definitely ☺🖒🖒🖒🖒
We rented a handicapped room because my husband walks with a Walker. I showered first in the morning & THE COMPLETE BATHROOM FLOOR WAS SOAKING WET. I DRIED MY FEET & BODY & MY SLIPPERS WERE ALL WET FROM THE FLOOR & SAW THE FLOOR IN THE MAIN ROOM GETTING WET AS I WALKED IN. WHOEVER DESIGNED THIS HANDICAP ROOM DID NOT KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING. I WAS WORRIED STIFF WHEN MY HUSBAND SHOWERED. DID NOT SHOWER SUNDAY WHEN WE LEFT I FELT IT WAS 2 DANGEROUS. Room 101 August 13_15
Nice cozy place with friendly staff. Great for weekend outings. Cooperative staff makes the stay enjoyable. Rooms are airy and well maintained. There is a nice and big pool and 2 tennis courts. They are in the process of opening a bar lounge and a tiki bar by the pool.
Nice resort located between the bay and the highway on the West end of Southampton Town. The Atlantic resort hotel features spacious rooms, large comfortable beds, large kitchens and clean bathrooms. Available for overnight stays, weekly rentals and more in the summer season Month to month rentals available in the off season. Hotel grounds feature a pool colorfully lit at night. Location is 10 minutes away from the beach and village by car, and 5 minutes walking distance to the bay
So I’m not the kind to write reviews but I paid extra to be in a bigger room and I like this hotel but IT WAS SO LOUD!!! You hear every single foot step at 6am in the morning!!! I did not paid to come to a hotel to wake up with a headache I’m so glad I only had one night here I would have gone crazy. I really wanted to like this hotel ;(
This place is a glorified Motel 8. The room was humid, small, with dated bathrooms and appliances. I stayed in the room after the renovations. I think they try to pretend its a boutique hotel, but its lame Wayfair furnishings. I would never stay here again, especially for the price I paid.
The Atlantic Hotel -A Southampton Find!By Christine Kelly, PhDDelightful! The mid-century modern vibe and incredibly accommodating staff make the Atlantic a true value in the otherwise-prohibitive Hamptons!Well appointed rooms; strong covid19 protocols; beautiful, well maintained pool, but most importantly ? A front desk staff who went above & beyond the call of duty to serve this customer when a third party reservation entity hijaked part of my reservation and overcharged!!Siya ( manager) handled the matter with grace, kindness & efficiency. Now that is a reason to return! Most of the reviews here seem completely out of touch to me - almost as if they’re sabotage by a competitor? The Atlantic Hotel was a sweet & terrific stay!
Shabby motel on a busy roadWe stayed in room 112 on a Monday night in October and the price (less than $100 a night) is the only positive for the place. The room looks fine at first sight thanks to a beach makeover but (1) one of the main sockets was missing (health hazard), bottom of the bathroom door was rotten. Bed linen was clean though (which is nice) but we were awoken at 3 am by someone character banging on the next room’s and and shouting at the occupant. Not to mention the constant noise from heavy road traffic day AND night. Hence I would not recommend this place
I like the location for the most part. It is a motel - theres nothing in my two stays that would challenge that it wasnt something more. They seem to be renovating all of the rooms, both stays were in a renovated room. They take dogs in some specified rooms and are priced very attractively, especially in the off season. I doubt I would stay anywhere else in the area. The rooms are pretty big, some even have 2 beds in separate areas. The walls are thin so you will hear your neighbor (if you have one). The room layout is weird in the two bedroom units, the tv is on the same wall as the couch so if you want to watch tv you do it from the bed or a very uncomfortable desk chair with no cushion or wheels. Did I mention they were very affordable and take dogs? Lol. I feel relatively safe. Very friendly staff.
Old/dated property, but looks like the management is working on updates. Not worth the $350/night, especially since we stayed for a week and we were a big group. On busy highway; loud day and night.Ac window units held in with foam. Door was crazy squeaky. At first look the room looked ok, but then we found dirty floors; bathroom reeked of urine - we found a dirty wash cloth hanging in the shower; old furniture; exposed wires; hair in sink; closet damp and smelly. No blackout curtains. Ok beds. The cleaning staff was very accommodating and did a better job cleaning on following days.Crabtree&evelyn soap/ shampoo/ conditioner/ lotion and nice towels.Decent continental breakfast.Didn’t use the pool, but it looked ok, had towels and a radio and even a grill and 2 gazebos.Lovely old oak behind the pool.
I will never go back to this dump and here are the reasons. I was very disappointed when I drove into the inn. The outside looked so shabby and unkept. I wouldnt have sat on the seats outside my room if I had an emergency. The check in desk smelled like a cemetery. The site says 3.5 acres, I saw about half a block of grounds. There were lounge chairs that were broken and unusable. I was told by Denise during the week Monday and Tuesday the pool was being used by a childrens camp and we could go in the pool after 1pm. Before I booked my reservation I spoke with Denise about 10 minutes she never mentioned the camp. I love kids, however a camp of children is different then children supervised by their parents. When I finally did stop by the pool and I dipped my feet the pool floor had a lot of dirt on it and Im not talking about leafs and the water was about 76 degrees. The following day the water color was better but still not inviting. My husband was very excited about using the grill advertised on the site, however when you look at the grill there a about three flower pots right in front of the grill not making it inviting for use. Obviously it would have to be a man to move the pots of plants away from the grill. When my husband did open ed up the grill top, the grill was very dirty. You could tell the grill was not cleaned on the last use. The room itself was a 1 on a scale of 5 being excellent. The tv was tiny and the sound was horrible, being very savvy with technology I tried to fix the sound, but the tv was such a cheap brand we could only watch it to get the news. The room was clean but thats it. When I left I wanted a copy of my bill and with a smile I was told it was given to you when you check in. I told her it wasnt and she said really Im surprised again with a smile, but why not not just say nothing and reprint the bill. Instruction were horrible, I like to know my streets and was told dont use gps just look at the landmark like movie theater. Well after getting lost with not telling me street name I did use my gps and stopped listening to their directions. The continental breakfast consist of a tub of creame cheese thats was left out for hours and old bagels. There were little packets of oatmeal and bananas. This was the cheapest continental breakfast I had ever seen.If your like nice clean an inviting accommodations do not stay here. Needless to stay I will never return to this place.
Clean, safe, police patrol the lots late at night so you feel like your stuff is secure there, good (if a little bland) rooms, no issues with the service, and discreet, helpful staff. Ive only stayed here for work but could totally imagine staying here if I was in the area for any other reason since It felt quiet, private, and safe. But screw the Hamptons! Go vacation somewhere remote, beautiful, and uncomfortable but also less distracting.
The service is poor. We have a baby and called to make sure they have a pack and play crib available. When we checked in the guy working said he didnt know where it was and didnt bother looking for it. He said he would call the room and never did. The next day when we complained the manager was like, We have it right here. The hotel is in poor condition and we are on the ground floor so the people above us sound like a hurd of elephants! Woke our baby up several times stomping across the floor. Yes that loud. The heat is an old wall heater and took several hours to heat the room. Also the rooms facing the street are extremely loud and you will hear the highway traffic like it is in your room. After getting here and getting in our room we looked for other places to stay because it is just crappy. The photos online are photoshopped and polished. You can tell they tried to renovate recently because everything has paint on it😂🙈 the side of our nightstand has blotches of white paint. The wood mirror frame on the wall has white paint overspill.... I cant LOL.
Avoid this place it is not secure. I checked out of this place and someone come in my room and smoked in it. My card was unauthorized a smoking fee (which I dont smoke) and I had to dispute with my bank. The manager Jack, hung up in my face, and ultimately could not provide proof of smoking damage. This hotel values money over hospitality. Ive stayed at this hotel plenty of times. Ive spent THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS and have never had a problem such as this. I have been accused of illegal activities and unspeakable things I am APPALLED. There are other alternatives in the area that are more reasonable with price and value hospitality. They have illegal immigrants living on premises as well this place gives a black eye to the beautiful Hamptons.

2021-09-25After checking in, we realized we’d been here before. Our recollection was that it was tired and much in need of a good sprucing up. Happy to report it’s been spruced. Our room was bright, clean and well-appointed. The downside — then and now — there’s no soundproofing between rooms. I don’t think we had neighbors on the side but we could hear every step taken by the couple above. The Atlantic has a large, terrific pool surrounded by some very comfortable chaises. All in all, it’s a bargain where we’ll be sure to stay next time we’re in Southampton.

2021-11-01I had great experience staying there. The stuff is absolutely friendly and eager to help. Great location. Close to the Main streets and seashore. Feels secluded and quiet. The room was cozy.Definitely recommend this place!

2021-08-24Pretty affordable for its great location and nice rooms. The pool, tennis courts and volleyball court were great to have. The main receptionists were all VERY helpful and helped deliver a package that came late to my address even after my stay. Definitely recommend!

2021-10-10Just OK. Nothing at all special about the place. Our room faced the highway about 50 feet from our door and it was pretty noisy. Pillows were rock hard. The only comfort furniture in the room was a chair with a broken leg.

2021-03-28Very comfortable rooms and beds the bathroom however needs work we could smell the weed and cigarettes the people next to us were smoking ALL NIGHT. Which also brings up the issue of them blasting music and screaming and yelling from 12am to 3am we did call the front desk who did come up and tell them to be quite they waited a while and started up again absolutely horrible guests! No reflection on the hotel it self but still a bad experience for our 1st time

2020-08-13This hotel does the job and does it well. We had a very pleasant stay with our children. The pool is great, there’s tennis and a little man made beach for volley ball. The rooms are big, with clean comfortable beds. The staff are friendly and accommodating. But like most hamptons hotels (motels) it won’t blow you away with luxury. The floors could definitely do with some covering, even one rig would make it cozier. Also if your downstairs (which we were) you can hear every footstep above you, some floor coverings would also solve this problem as it can be pretty loud. They were a bit slack with providing clean towels at the pool, not a big deal. All in all I would recommend this hotel. The pool was never crowded and it has a relaxed vibe.

2021-05-29This is called “hotel” but it is a motel. Very expensive and very substandard. The front desk person was sleeping, hair unbrushed, breath stinking when I went into the lobby this morning to get some coffee. He told me he was sleeping so he couldn’t make coffee for another half hour. About 45 minutes later coffee was still not prepared properly. He is rude, yelled at me, refused to take any money off of our bill, and refuses to give his name. I have contacted corporate but they have not contacted me back yet. This is a joke, do not stay here. Looking for other accommodations immediately.

2021-10-31We were very disappointed with this motel, which is what it is. We had bugs in our room, stained towels and the bathroom was in need of repair since there was a hole in the shower wall. Noisy inconsiderate guest were outside at 4am and the management did nothing about it. Will never recommend this place to anyone staying in the Hamptons.
