I walked In and after 6 minutes of looking me at the cashier, with all bagels ready, with coffee ready they say they can’t serve me at the moment.People like this don’t deserve business
I used to drive past 3 other bagel places to come here because I really do like their bagels but I really dont like getting ripped off. I came here for two sandwiches, chicken salad on a bagel. I paid $16 for 2 sandwiches (including an extra dollar for a whole grain bagel). They were the skimpiest sandwiches; we couldnt believe how little chicken salad was on them. There are two or three other places less than a mile away that charge the same amount or less, their sandwiches are very generous and they include a side salad. I wont be back.

It was my first time visiting this bagel shop, and I was pleasantly surprised!The employees work like a well oiled machine taking the orders, and moving the growing line. And they were very pleasant !I ordered egg salad on a onion bagel, and it was delicious, and reasonably priced!Ill definitely be going back.
Drove 3 miles, waited 10 minutes for a toasted butter with jelly corn muffin.. Drive home found a burnt dry muffin, no napkin or fork. Time to find a new place

Great food, great service, great variety. The staff maintains strict COVID-19 guidelines. I see everyone wearing masks and fresh gloves for each order, and customers are socially distanced. I feel very safe here. So glad I found this place. Its my new go-to.
Food is great there I wont knock that. I would have given it a 5 stars but its alil pricy to start off cause a b.e.c. is 6 dollars with nothing extra on it just, a Bagel with cc is 3.50 like its alil pricy but w.e. and to top it off I called ahead for a bagel with cc and they told me come in 10mins and I did so and my food wasnt ready she completely forgot n I had to stay longer while the store was dead so I wasnt much of a priority so ehhh 3stars but w.e.

I’ve been coming pretty regularly recently, probably 2-3 times a week if not more. The food quality is very good. My problem is their ability to accurately follow mobile orders. There hasn’t been a single order in the last 10 orders that hasn’t had something majorly wrong despite various attempts at making accurate instructions. How hard is it to understand that selecting “bacon, egg, and cheese“, checking off “extra meat”, and writing in the note box; make the extra meat sausage, make the extra meat sausage in addition to the bacon, and make the extra meat sausage (1/2 bacon 1/2 sausage) all mean Adding bacon and sausage? Not double bacon, not double sausage. It isn’t hard, either fix the mobile order interface to include specific extra meats or read. I don’t usually care about this stuff, I understand business or that I make mistakes in making orders, but it’s been 10 times!

Their presentation is great, the food is good and the place smells terrific with all the fresh bagels behind the counter. But for a place that has been in business for such a long time, their service is very chaotic. You can’t tell who is taking the orders and who is making the orders, as everyone behind the counter keeps running back and forth to the kitchen. Which leads to long lapses between taking orders. Which causes the line to build up. The management should make a visit to All American Burger in Massapequa to see how they handle crowds so well...
Excellent food. Ordering for delivery or pickup is difficult as you may need call several times before your call gets picked up. If you are are willing to make the effort to order you will be happy with your food. Everything I have ordered so far was excellent!
The best bagels I’ve found on Long Island in 40 years. Beyond the bagels are their delicious spreads, egg sandwiches cooked to perfection and the most pleasant counter help ever! I go early to avoid long lines however I can attest they’re worth the wait!
I was visiting from Florida and had to stop by a couple times. Theyre the best bagels and everyone was so nice. I love the breakfast sandwiches. We even took 20 bagels home in a suitcase to freeze so we can have their bagels at home. If they would ship then Im be a lifelong customer.

I ordered a toasted egg onion bagel with egg whites peppers with turkey bacon. It was soggy dripping wet, really disgusting. Threw out most of it but still sick from it 2 hours later. I don’t think I can look at another bagel again. First time ordering from here Never again
They are the Better Bagel, nobody beats them. Large variety always fresh. Theyre also a full deli. With great food ,sandwiches are incredible. If you dont see it theyll make it. Places always immaculate. Parking lot easy to get in and out.even if you see a large line dont worry they are very fast. And they always get it right.
Bagels are good to eat and there are barely any wait times when you come here. However, I am not really a fan of their eggs. Something about them does not strike me as a good thing.Getting the typical bacon, egg and cheese youd expect everything to flow properly but the eggs leave much to be desired.Their egg bagels taste way too close to regular bagels. Ive had better elsewhere.
Its been part of the community for a long time. I know, Ive been coming to The Better Bagel for more than 20 years now. I like the new location ...more parking space! Food is always good and fresh and the people nice and friendly. Always service with a 😃
Once again my order was messed up. They can never get my orders right. I paid extra for avocado and they send hashbrown. I always get promised a refund and never get it
Ever since I moved away from NY for school, I would always look forward to going to The Better Bagel when I came home. I was in shock when I heard about the fire that destroyed their previous location, but that fire has made room for an even BETTER Better Bagel. Bagels, pastries, snacks, soups and salads make a visit here each time I come home worth the 8hr+ drive. Nothing but great homemade tastes come out of this shop. They are worth the wait at any time of the day. The only thing that could possibly put them over the top from where they are now, is a bigger selection of coffee available daily vs a coffee of the day. But lets be honest, were here for the bagels, not the coffee.
Someone else took my food from the no contact pickup. I wouldnt fault better bagel except when they remade my food they forgot the hashbrown and bacon on my sandwich which cost like an extra $3. Wouldnt be a big deal except I was charged for it as extra to my sausage egg and cheese so for $7.75 I just got a sausage egg and cheese standard sandwhich.

This place is so beautiful when you walk in everything in the case is so well presented you know that this place definitely caters. The food is exceptionally good and worth the price they do make wonderful wraps and wonderful salads in fact they have a salad bar. This is an excellent spot for breakfast and lunch and the people are very nice and they have a lot of people working so the line always moves you never have to wait that long this one is a keeper!
Great food, HORRIBLE customer service, was Cursed out by Steve after waiting an hour for 2 sandwiches and a few bagels. (Called me Fing A Hole for requesting a refund ) Will bring my business somewhere else.
First off, ABSOLUETLY horrible service. And my bagel was not fresh!!! In my life I have never! Major attitude from the young lady who made my bagel. Why!!! And i was told by management that she may have been having a bad day. That is absolutely NO excuse. Also, I asked for tea with honey and lemon. NO HONEY. And i am a very loyal customer to businesses in the area. I spread the word on my facebook, twitter and word of mouth about great restaurants, boutiques etc... if i could give a half star i would! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Only a few bagel places on long island get this great review and this is one of them, I only review the bagel not service or orders bagels are awesome especially the New bacon egg bagel basically an egg bagel with bits of crunchy bacon in them. Wednesday is bagel day at work and they have a great price to boot on wednesdays
Ordered a platter 2 eggs over easy with sauted onions and peppers and home fries well done. Also a bagel toasted on the side. They forgot the bagel in my bag. The peppers and onions came from the salad bar and tossed in a platter the home fries sit out all day so they are just warm. They taste like they were in the microwave. Every time I give this place a shot they let me down.
The best place to go for bagels on Long Island. Ive been going here ever since I was little and the quality of bagels and staff are always top notch. When people rave about NY having the best bagels, its because of places like this!

Good bagels but the girls at the front counter are really nasty and rude. Been here many time and same thing , definitely lacking customer service skills. Bagels are always great. I go on Wednesday when a dozen bagels are half price. But I have gone other days to order things. Never disappointed.

I only go during lunch time. All of their food, wraps, salads, hot lunch specials are amazing! however, the service is extremely slow and will sometimes be waiting 5 + minutes for a salad that is already made. But the food is great and fair prices.
Go through the line unless you don’t mind waiting 30+ minutes for online orders. They prioritize the line.
The clerk that served me was great, she was training a new clerk and set a great example for her. Aside from that, my food and drink was tasty, wholesome and affordable. Great job.

2022-02-05The Better Bagel literally has the better bagel. Its exactly what you want, crisp outside, chewy inside, half the size of your head. Big fan of the toasted coconut coffee. They have a good range of snacks, salads and Sammies too. Oh, and they have flavored cream cheeses that are top notch. I hear they are adding popovers to the menu and I cant wait.

2022-01-31This is the second and last time I go here the first time they added a pork sausage to my turkey bacon egg and cheese after I said I don’t eat pork and they burnt both of the bagels. This time I asked for my bagels lightly toasted and they came out burnt again. If I’m paying these prices which are a little over the normal I should be getting a quality of services with it.

2022-04-22Great local bagel place. Not crowded. Everything I ordered was good. Also great coffee. I like my bagel a bit burnt and most places wont over cook for fear of burning. It was just right! Ive been to a couple other bagel places near by... Better Bagel is far better!

2022-05-15Their bagels are fresh with a huge selection . All their sandwiches from breakfast to lunch are on point. Their coffee (Brownstones) in my humble opinion is the best around.This place gets packed in the morning on the weekend so do yourself a favor and order from their online page or app which is superb! Itll be waiting on the rack and they even provide a pickup time!

2022-06-01We do documentaries and reality shows across Long Island and in New York City. I have never came across a cleaner bagel store in my life and I used to bake when I was in my teens at multiple stores. The quality is unquestionable fresh, I dont eat salads at any location except this one. Every time we come back from an investigation, my team requests breakfast here every time. 2019-01-12Great service and food; what’s not to like?!Their toasted coconut coffee is the highlight of my summer trips to this establishment.Nothing better than grabbing a flat everything and your choice of topping-butter, cream cheese- something more creative...you can’t go wrong.If you’re in the neighborhood stop by...if you have to travel a bit; their bagels are worth it.Oh, look at their menu if sandwiches-just delicious-I haven’t ordered anything that I wasn’t happy with.The staff is always friendly and helpful!It’s great knowing there are places that have high standards and great quality...I’m heading there now to pick up some bagels and can’t wait.I hope you enjoy their food as much as I do-and my family.

2018-09-23One stop shop for all deli, breakfast, brunch and lunch needs. Their avacado toast is amazing, with thick fluffy pieces of bread. We visited the shop three times over the weekend and every item was delicious and well made.

2022-01-03This is my favorite bagel place, located in s Amityville on Merrick rd. They have the absolute best whole wheat bagels and the best tuna. I havent tried anything else because whenever I am there, I get the veggie tuna and the whole wheat bagels. Cant help it. They are always busy, but they are usually well staffed. The place is very very clean.
