Very professional and helpful. I wasnt sure what to expect at first since I was new to having my card. The staff was very friendly, informative and helped me figure out exactly what would help me. You can tell that they are knowledgeable and care about their costumers. Their store itself is so clean, classy and modern. Ive decided to continue to go to the Botanist and would recommend them to anyone!
On website they say 21 + or medical card to purchase …. They will not sell to you without a card . Don’t waste your time
From the website it appears that they sell adult use cannabis. Sign on the door stated you need a medical card.
Are people there are kind, polite, and willing to work with you. Their prices are reasonable, and you never have to wait too long. The interior has a clean aesthetic, and the employees have a very professional demeanor.
I was going in for the first time and Kelsey made me feel at home. She helped me print my temporary card without me having to ask. She went into great depth on the products and their different affects. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good experience with friendly staff

Never had a bad experience here, even when I showed up right at opening and they were just unlocking the doors. My very first time in, they were offering discounts for people who donated warm clothes and stuff to charity, and thats a small thing, but its the kind of thing I like. I also like that they offer some products made in New York, though they could do more to point that out because I had to check the documentation to find it out.
Everyone is so friendly every time I come in. Theyre always trying to help the customer save money and the point system is fantastic. Ive had my medical card since 2018 and this dispensary is by far my favorite in this area.
I wish I could leave no star at all. They don’t even deserve 1 star. I travel 60 miles one way to pick up for my wife who is going through chemotherapy. This is the last time I will ever return. I always have some kind of issue with this place. The staff is awful here the man behind the glass don’t know what year it is. He had a 5 minute argument with me over my issue date on the card telling me it’s expired & over a year ago at that. The card was just issued in October of 20. I asked him what year he thinks we are in? Hello the dam card is 3 months old. Unbelievable is all I can say. Thank god I found another place to go to. Maybe they will be a little more appreciative of the 1000 a month I spend on medication. I hate to leave reviews like this because the owner is a nice guy. But being self employed I also understand you’re only as good as your staff.

I did not receive the discount I was eligible for due to the girl forgot to put it in correctly. I was told she could not re do the order correctly that she would put a note in and it would be corrected the next visit. The next visit came and I was denied the correct amount off. If this issue gets fixed I will change my review.
Ive been going to this location off and on for a couple years now. This company is definitely better than Mad Men. When I first started with them I thought they had the best aesthetic, the widest range of products, and the most invested staff. My first time there the pharmacist asked me about my asthma and seemed to really be considering the medical implications.Unfortunately, since then it hasnt changed at all while the main competition, veralife, has consistently improved. The staff is still kind but it takes twice as long to get in and out of the botanist and theres half as many customers. The botanist came out with their own brand of Vape cartridges but they dont seem to update the menu. They dont carry live resin of any type despite verilife having it in stock for over six months. What Vape options they do have are extremely limited selection and the last time I went in there they were sold out of roughly half the options anyway. Perhaps the most damning aspect of their supply issues is the fact that for the last month theyve only had one variety flour for sale. I was told that they would be most likely getting more in very shortly when I visited about a month ago but repeated checking on the menu has shown me that they are still completely out of stock. That is correct, this is a cannabis dispensary with almost no cannabis for sale.
Never has a good supply of flower mostly selling Columbia care and matter if and when they have it the few vapes they do have are pretty good though love the indica and hybrid that are 65 customer service is on par with every other dispensary also found the menu of 50 items dissapointing honestly if you want good flower go to medmen if you want a good vape go here
Ive waited 10 long years for this day, the day I walk in and legally purchase medicine and it went perfectly! Pharmacist I talked to was professional and experienced! Explained the store, products and everything you need to know/questioned. And the products??? LEGIT, they have everything you could need at several different dosages, and the vape I got was the best Ive EVER experienced. Cant wait to see what else they can do in the future!!!! Highly recommend!!! Its a medical provider, not a business!!!!

The building itself inside is extremely clean, and has beautiful displays of their products. The people I spoke with made sure I understood each option and their various benefits, and I left feeling confident that I’d made the right choice in where I went and what I purchased. I just went to The Botanist for the first time and was so impressed! The reviews had me nervous but I decided to finally take the chance.The very personable & knowledgeable pharmacist took care of me almost immediately and took an abundance of time discussing my needs and the products. They currently stock Etain & Pharmacann. He says they have some really great products of their own coming in the near future. Im very excited to experience the future products because theyre going to be better than whats currently offered. Everyone was very friendly. Its a very nice atmosphere. The prices are on par.I am very happy that I took the chance and went today!Editing to add: the 2 different products the pharmacist recommended are working much better than my previous products. It was so nice getting helpful advice.

Update 10/01/21: Terrible, literally one, selection of green 1:1 vapes. Go to MedMen for a 1:1 vape selection.Very secure location with a very spa like feel to it. Everyone is very warm and welcoming. When I had to speak with the pharmacist about options there was a little hiccup that was solved in minutes. I personally go to DENT neurological and their recommendations are expected to be followed very specifically. I wanted to try the tincture option because it was more cost effective. When my script was looked up and it specified I had to use the capsules or vape the pharmacist was on the phone with DENT and got the tincture option cleared in minutes. Great service, a welcoming and comfortable environment that you can feel safe in. Highly recommend.

Was just there. Even though Covid 19 restrictions, they were able to take time with a 1st timer. The pharmacist was even nice enough to bring my RX out himself.The prices are a bit high but thats 55 percent sale tax. They do have some discount programs.Ive tried my new product and it is working, where my plain CBD had failed. So, my money was well spent.
I used to go to another dispensary but they were always out of product. So today was my first time here, service A+ the staff were so kind and helpful I had questions about the different types of marijuana and they were very helpful and I was able to purchase 2 different types of thc. The product A+, the taste is great! Not harsh the battery pack is of good quality. I will be coming here from now on! In regards to Social Distancing, this company has the check in and out procedure down pat!! A+++. Friendly folks working to help educate and sell you the right thc/cbd balance for your ailments. You can also call ahead and have a pharmacist consult over the phone. Then you know just what to buy when you arrive. Yoda the pharmacist was there my first visit and made a great impression, but all the pharmacists have been great so far.

I arrived at 6:37 knowing exactly what I wanted, yet I was denied entry. The guy at the front said “we’re closed” despite it saying on their website that they close at 7:00pm. He then pointed to a sign that said “we take out last patient at 6:30” Why wouldn’t this be communicated on their website? Why is there no one that picks up the phone when you call? I would not recommend this place simply due to their lack of fundamental customer service skills and business etiquette.

This is my edited review. That didnt last long. The only clerk and cash register were taking care of the same customer for 20 minutes(or longer)while I and other customers walked out.Tried the Botanist again Same story, the one drawer that was open was taking care of a customer that needed a lot of instruction. Instead of handing customer off to someone that wasnt occupied, the clerk monopolized the only open drawer and the line got longer and longer and longer. This happens more often than not. If you are pressed for time save yourself time and aggravation and take the drive to Verilife!! I have tried more than twice and came away aggravated

I actually dealt with a pharmacist in trying to figure out what i needed! The pharmacist was very friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate as well. A person who actually lived the medical marijuana life, both professionally and personally!! Please Buffalo try out the Botanist! You will not be disappointed!
The Botanist is a Great place to get your medical marijuana needs. Great staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. My personal favorite is the boost vape. Compared to other local dispensaries taste amazing.

This place is a joke. The prices are double or triple the costs of medmen. They are resellers of etain and pharmacannis products for at least 1-2 months until they get their own products. They never responded to email asking for menu or hours. Took 2 hours to inprocess, the decor reminds you of a psychiatric ward all white, no music, nothing. They dont understand the laws yet, brown bags not secured for purchases.Ill try them again in January, until then they arent worth even one star.I recommend avoiding at all costs, not affordable or friendly.Medmen has higher quality for way less.Plus their security team is professional,funny and they say they are good lookin. They also enjoy listening to Free Bird.

Dont just look at there website fir prices. I thought they seemed a little high. But they give you a ton of discounts. And it reduces the cost tremendously. Also they have a punch card after you spend 100$ or more 5 times you get a additional 20$ off your purchase. They carry pharmacannis vap carts cheaper then pharmacannis. Yes you herd correctly cheaper much cheaper.
So far I have had no problems with this facility, they are knowledgeable and have more products then when I went to Pharmacannis and even Cheaper ❣️👏 This is always a plus when you are on a very strict budget trying to get your PAIN medication! The state did this backwards, because they should have had our insurances approved this so we the patient who are disabled don’t have to pay the doctor and for the medication! Not in our resources! Medical cannabis works better than fentanyl any day & your not knocked out all day! I love life, & want to be awake!!!

Been there about 3-4 times already,I mean during this recent CV-19 event it’s a fair statement that interaction to look inside is limited.The people seem pretty calm and respectful within my age group,however from the economic perspective someone like myself who uses medication on a daily basis due to my condition tolerance is high and So are the prices with never any kind of sale other than the initial “First Time” buyer discount.you will be dealing with patients such as yours truly,who come out of pocket unfortunately who Come back to purchase 2 Cartridges at a time spending almost $600 monthly meanwhile the Industry out west charges anywhere between $15-30 in your average 500MG half gram cartridge meanwhile over here Companies are trying to triple their Profit Margins,Its hard times as it is when will we all see sale discounts when purchasing 2 or more?also I tried their Own product The “Boost” the effects are okay for a Sativa but when I checked the amount of oil within the Cartridge it seemed so much less than a half gram cartridge for $70 I think that should be repriced the least,not sure if it was because the cartridge was a little wider with those bigger holes for the wick to absorb more vapor but I definitely prefer the Pharmacann style stainless steel cartridge.Nothing bad against them just definitely a change of prices need to happen ASAP all across NYS dispensaries.

All 3 local stores (Madmen, Pharma and Botnist) are using the same product (Pharmacannis, Madmen does have a second product line though) yet each one has different prices and potencies. The vapes are known to have issues from clogging to tips breaking off. Madmen and Pharma will replace a bad rig no hassle. The Botnist is the only one that does not back up their product and will reply to you with statements like well the bottom doesnt taste good anyways. Their personal preference should not affect their ability to stand by the product. The companies know they are over pricing it and are intentionally doing this and taking advantage of the patients who are already paying out of pocket. The very least they can do is stand by the product. Anywhere from Colorado west ward the cartridges are $30 for actual potency not micro dosing and you can buy refill bottles for significantly cheaper. Unfortunately this monopoly of stores in NY feel because other medications are unjustly over priced they can be too. It is disgusting to say the least. If you cant back your product up I will go to a store that can so Im not out the money. Driving 1.5 hours is bad enough to be so insulted is unacceptable. The comments about the layout and sending you out the side of the building are correct and for female knowing you have a product worth stealing it can be terrifying. If you are already suffering physically the extra walking can not help. The whole set up is silly and poorly explained. Extra points to pharma for their coffee bar and no hassle return policy. They also have the best set up for handicap parking/proximity with madmen coming in second because you need to travel a bit farther into the building.
Its a nice little place! Its in the cut but still in downtown buffalo. Ive been to both MedMen and The Botanist and I gotta say, I like these guys better. They have better discounts, their vape cartridges are actually cheaper than MedMen by $10, the pharmacists know what theyre talking about.Its just not like MedMen and they dont have flashy bags and you gotta be buzzed in to even enter the building, and you leave out this weird side door but theyre really nice! Check them out if you havent already!

No way to get ahold of them to see what they have for a refill, or to even place a refill. Prices magically skyrocketed, but somehow the book list and prices didnt change. Their crappy pharmacannis cartiridges are always defective, and they rarely have everything on their menu. Dont waste your time, they dont even have their own product. Go to etain.

Omg! Fellow people in need of medical marijuana...The Botanist IS the place to go in Buffalo! Please read on!!!I have severe sensory sensitivities and the Botanist Staff is so compassionate, empathetic and kind to me. I usually enter a public building with angst knowing what I will endure and leave completely shot for at least the rest of the day if not longer. Not here! Today was my 2nd visit. Last time Dan the pharmacist, with in minutes of my turn, asked if it would be easier on me to be in a quieter setting. He could tell by my behavior how overwhelmed I was. He also was so knowledgeable and didn’t rush me thru just to get the sale and get on to the next sale.He told me that Patrick the security guard would be made aware of my circumstances and would show me to a private room where I could await my turn in a much more subdued environment. Today I arrived and was standing outside (there was someone checking in and on his phone and even with my ear protections, it would have been too much) to wait to be checked in by the security. Patrick actually remembered me by sight and came to the door to get me and take me to a private room to wait my turn. Jesse came in to help when it was my turn and again also very knowledgeable, accomadating and just plain pleasant! Then a tall gentleman was able to get my script refilled and make the monetary transaction while I waited in a better suited environment for my issues. Dan, the pharmacist also stopped by just to check in and make sure I was good. Who does this? Let me tell you...the BOTANIST does and NOT most medical or public places, TRUST ME!To all of the people who complain about the wait...REALLY? Have you ever considered there are thousands of us that need this and NY is JUST starting to let this happen...that maybe there’s rules, regulations and protocols to follow? There may even be mandated time allotments per patient? And how about that every person in need has different needs for different issues, isn’t it better to be really heard and helped than just another sale? So please, I get that EVERYONE’S time is important but for me, your neighbor or just fellow human being in need, take a moment and reflect on that.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!Why dont they just call the business Pharmacannis?Went there expecting different product from Pharmacannis in Amherst and MedMen in Williamsville. Nope, same exact product as Pharmacannis and what they give you (for me it was vape) it even has Pharmacannis on the label! Also they offer no 50:1 ratio either!The parking sucks for handicapped people. Had to park at one end for handicapped and enter at the other end. THEN, they have you exit the dispensary next to a pretty much vacant field! Ohhh did I mention, they just handed me the vape product (in green tube), NO bag or security bag like Pharmacannis gives you in Amherst.and they make you exit the building next to a vacant lot with NO SECURITY and with it being downtown! Then again, if youre handicapped, you have to go along the whole length of the building to get back to your car! Pretty bad when Pharmacannis in Amherst has better security! Will NOT be visiting again.Staff was pleasant and helpful was the reason for the 2 stars, not their fault with the product they offer, other then that, I would not recommend.
I googled recreational dispensary and they came up. I drove 3 hours to get here just to find out there are no recreational dispensary in the state only medical and they will not honor out of state medical cards

2022-07-11I literally cannot say enough about this dispensary in their staff! Their attention to detail in this ever-changing and confusing medical marijuana program in New York City is unparalleled! Its my cheers where everybody knows your name and theyre always glad you came coming from someone with physical and other disabilities I just cannot even explain the level of service that they have! I go in they know me by name! And every time I am greeted by a new person however they are so personable and friendly theyll say hi how you doing and get to know a little about you to help you with dosages and strength which everybody knows have endless combinations! By far the best dispensary in Western New York

2022-06-09This gets a 2 star rating because they are price gougers. They charge insane amounts for their products, and there’s no need to be greedy like that. The Botanist offers high quality distillate tinctures and edibles (but get you excited about the flavors to find out they are sold out 1 hr after you call to make sure and travel there) but their flower is below par and crushed up and dry, horrible taste. If they charge a fair price they will see more customers and higher return customers. I’m not going there ever again.

2022-07-11I cannot say enough about the staff at this dispensary! Coming from somebody with physical and other disabilities they are very personal. I can definitely call this place my cheers. Where everybody knows your name and theyre always glad you came. I am greeted by someone different every time yet everybody knows me by name when I walk in! Ive gone to other dispensaries and its very cold and unpersonable. Their attention to every single detail in this confusing and ever changing medical marijuana program is absolutely unparalleled! The customer service is out of this world! You can call and speak with someone to help place an order, delivery, or even speak to a pharmacist about your prescription and what dosages are correct for you. Five stars Plus! I refer everyone there! And Ive never heard a complaint. And they even have a great loyalty/rewards program that cant be! A punch card when you spend over $110 times you get $100 off $200 and also $1 equals one point. A thousand points is $50 off $100 in botanist products or you can even use them on non botanist products 50 off 150. They really got this figured out! Stopping or give them a call you wont regret it!

2021-11-19This place is wonderful. The people are kind, informative, and the place has a very natural feel, as opposed to others in the area, that have more of an apple vibe. To be honest, I havent used them much as I dont often go downtown. Their selection has grown a great deal since they first opened with humble offerings.I recently had surgery and cant drive yet, so I was happy to learn that they now offer delivery as well as a product type Ive tried at the other dispensaries with mixed results. The gentleman I spoke with was so friendly, interested in my feedback, and due to my circumstance was kind enough to offer delivery personally the same day. That to me is above and beyond. That really took me by surprise, and I have so much gratitude for this kindness.So, in short, support these folks. Ive never had to wait long, Ive had near zero problems as compared to the competition, and they are just good people helping patients. Highest praise to these folks.

2021-10-14Best service, best prices, and best quality in the area. Never had a problem with any of their cartridges. One of the other places has carts that clog , or somehow leak down into the battery. Not too many things worse than a cart that doesnt work when you need it. Oh, and everyone I see working there is always smiling. Its so good to see people smiling.

2022-05-03This is an UPDATED review.....I had a terrible initial experience at this location. I found myself there due to convenience and location, the experience was TOTALLY DIFFERENT. The people were much more helpful and patient. It was near closing time and they allowed customers in and helped them. The time the staff member took to explain the products, my options, and how to change my prescription was refreshing. I wasnt rushed or pushed but given information so that I could make the best informed decision.

2021-11-14Everyone here is very nice. The staff are all very informative, nice and professional. They are happy to answer questions, demonstrate and give recommendations. Its easy to get to, right off the thruway. Ive never had to wait in line and they have a great loyalty reward program!
