The food was absolutely delicious. The amount you get for your money is well worth it. The only possible problem is that staff are not required to wear masks. No one is, staff or customers. For people that are concerned about this, I would pick somewhere else to go. For people that dont care, definitely go!
This was my first visit to this restaurant and I was very pleased. The food was excellent (I had the pot roast sandwich) very moist and tender. The fries that accompanied my sandwich were my favorite batter type-crispy, fresh and not greasy. Our server was new (Jennifer) and she was very attentive and gave us great service. Ill be back.
No complaints about this place, the alcohol selection is pretty good and the food is alright. Prices are a little crazy but I guess when youre the only actual bar in a town thats what you do lol. However their Moscow Mules are to literally DIE for, they are the best ones Ive had at any bar. I highly highly recommend them especially with the cucumber vodka
Food was absolutely incredible. Service was very fast even though every table was filled & the bar area was crowded. Only complaint was the volume of the TVs (bar was very loud and the televisions were even louder, making it difficult to hear each other at our table in the dining area). This was our first visit to The Byrd House, it definitely wont be the last!
Last night 9-25-21, my band Split Rails played at The Byrd House. it was a very good experience. The patrons were friendly and greeted us warmly. The staff were polite, congenial and most helpful to us. It was cool that The Byrd House has an entrance for the bands to carry their gear in without interferring with the patrons that were eating and drinking. The atmosphere was electric. The dining area was packed as our band set up for the nights festivities. The Bryd House is a very clean establishment, and it is definitely Buffalo Bills territory. Once the dining was completed the staff opened up indoor windows that had separated the bar from the dining room up, which then opened the bar areas so that patrons at the bar could see, hear and enjoy the band from the bar. I Personally will be back there to experience their food and dining room facilities. As for the band we got to play on a large stage there with room for our six piece group. we received lots of positive praise from those in attendance, and for those who danced throughout the night. The owner is friendly, helpful, informative as well as accessible. It is our hope as a band to have the privilege to play there again soon. I would highly recommend The Byrd House for a fun night out.
Read some reviews, sounded good. Im a pot roast sandwich maniac, cant explain it. When theyre done right theyre outrageous. Not here tho. As a matter of fact it was one of the worst ones Ive ever had, damn I was really hungry too. My son enjoyed his chicken wings. Two other aldults waved off their meals in a so-so manner as to not offend, dinner was on me. Service was so so, not enough help for a dinner hour. Personally I wont be going back. If you read the reviews about this place.. then go there, theres a sharp contrast in comparison. Fake reviews? Who knows these days, everything else is fake, why not. Hope this helps in your restaurant pick for the evening.
Walked in and took forever to greet us, then was advised to pick whatever was open. The booth was filthy and had to be cleaned, after we sat down. No server ever came, eventually just got up and left after watching two servers standing in front of the kitchen on their phones. Shame, this place could have so much more potential if they actually cared about their customers.
This establishment is a sports bar/lounge. There was a major car show in the streets outside and the outside temperature was in the 90s. We got to the lounge and the streetside wall was a garage door and was wide open so it was 90+ degrees in the lounge. We ordered our meals and waited nearly 45 minutes before our food started to come out of the kitchen. The food was totally unremarkable There are other restaurants in Orchard Park that I would give a try before coming back to the Bird House.
There was nothing wrong with this place, but on the other hand there was nothing great about it either. Food is fine. Service is fine. Beer was fine. It didnt offend so much as there just wasnt much to it. The ingredients feel like they come out of a plastic bag (particularly the bread which has that grocery store white bread taste), but they are combined to make serviceable meals. Come for the beer, eat if you have to.
The food is pretty standard and good....the Cauliflower Crust BBQ Chicken pizza is great. The service ABSOLUTELY sets Byrd House apart from and has our loyalty. Im sorry I cant remember her name, but there is one server here who seriously is the greatest server we have ever had. They seem to take pride in their service and the community here in OP.
Stopped for a guick lunch with a friend. Nice place !! Great menu for a fairly small place. What I liked best was the ability to order half a salad that was a nice size portion for lunch, there is fish on the menu (getting hard to find a restaurant that has haddock for a Friday fish), and that the prices were very reasonable for OP. Small street side patio was perfect for our lunch ! Service was s little slow but the salads were very good. Full bar and nice atmosphere. I really really hope this place does well as the choices for right in the village are limited. Im going again next week for lunch, this place is definitely going on my rotation for lunches out.
Good hot food and nice drinks all reasonably priced. Only thing I would do differently is order my burger rare since i ordered it med rare and got medium. My dining partner ordered rare and got their med rare. So just order one step down of what you actually want and itll come out great! The burgers were big and could barely be finished.Id def go back if I was in the area again.
It’s one of our go to spots in Orchard Park. The staff is always extremely friendly when they interact with you. My husband and I have tried quite a few options on their menu from appetizers to dinner and even Sunday brunches without any complaints on their food. It’s a beautiful, calm atmosphere with a lovely patio to enjoy in the summer. It’s dog friendly as well which is a huge bonus.
Ive been going here on a regular basis for the last year. Started out with great service and excellent food. Every time weve gone here the service and food has gotten progressively worse. Seems like they love putting balsamic vinegar on just about every dish they have. Ordered take out wings and hot pepper on focaccia bread. The peppers and tomatoes tasted like they were just about to go bad and the wings came with no blue cheese and barely edible carrots and celery. This was a take out order. Other times weve been, the food was cold and our waitress was no where to be seen. Asked for water and it never came. The other time asked for hot sauce and it never came. (same waitress) take out wasnt any better. I think they must have a new chef because the food used to be excellent, now its borderline rancid. I thought we had found a great local place in OP that wasnt too pricey with good food. Ive tried to give this place a chance to redeem themselves, but it doesnt look like its going to happen.
After multiple rude comments and getting terrible food which they took off my bill. I was told thatit would be nice if we could pack up her things and leave now we have a family friend waiting to sit downeven though there are plenty of open seats outside for them to sit next to us or away from us. we waited a half hour for our seats and was only sitting down for 20 minutes until we finished our food. Me and my friend both got up to order more drinks and thats when the owner told us to leave for absolutely no reason. This is just one of multiple rude comments the owner said to us that night. This was yesterday June 19th 2020.my parents friends own the bar and went to high school with them, I have always been treated phenomenal and even hooked up on drinks and food, but not this time- they were very rude for no reason and then proceeded to ask me about my sick mother in front of everybody stating they had no idea whats going on with her but we all know they do because they asked me and told me she was sick.Aka they played stupid to get information out of me leaving me embarrassed and ashamed. They then proceeded to ask me if that was still working or employed-I told them no because of the pandemic but its very nerve-wracking and embarrassing for me to tell them that Im not working right now when I came there to relax and have a stress-free day with a cold beer. We all go to bars to forget about her problems-mine were brought up as soon as I walked in the door by the owners- they only asked so they could get information and spread drama rumors around the town of orchard Park about myfmy like they have before.... the byrd house is nothing but a drama-filled melting pot with rumors flying about, if you dont want your personal information out there please stay away from this restaurant and bar as the people are very judgemental and clicky...... I will never be going there ever again nor my family and Im ashamed that I had to tell everybody around me how my mother is sick and cant even leave the house -while they smirked and wisperered about...... the old Byrd house was great at the old location, the place is so bougie now you cant go there without hearing rumors about somebody else or yourself. If you are personal person and take that seriously please stay away from this bar. 💙
Just had dinner with my lovely girlfriend here for my first visit. She got the bacon gorgonzola and scallion burger anr and I got the flaming Byrd burger. Absolutely delicious.. Best burger I can remember having in a long time. 10/10.. I could eat that burger every day. Her burger was absolutely amazing as well. Wonderful job and very pleasant environment. I look forward to coming back.
Had a late dinner there on 9/10/19. Craft tap beer was warm, served in a warm glass. $7/pint for a local brew. Ordered a Gorgonzola cheese burger, I have no idea what the cheese was. Maybe something poured from a bottle? I think they finished the burger in a microwave. Good french fries, good waitress.
First time there. Sat at the bar and ordered a breakfast burger (burger with a fried egg on it) and home fries. The burger was bland. The home fries seemed a little off. The plate looked good when it came out but the taste wasnt there. The bartender was good and the interior of the place was nice but Im hesitant to eat there again.
Had dinner there recently. An upcharge for honey with the sweet potato fries was a joke! The cost of differenct-than American cheese on a hamburger was $1.25. I thought I was dreaming. How cheap can you be. I will never frequent this local pub again. I had a Reuben that was the worst. Corned beef looked, and tasted like shoe leather and the other ingredients. were stingy. Unfortunate that we have to drive to Hamburg for a decent sandwich.
Good food, friendly atmosphere and still open during Covid. While most most people flock to Mangia this place also has delicious food im a relaxed atmosphere and is a quick walk down the street in Orchard Park. Nice area to walk and a few shops to visit too if you are looking to potter around. I would ask that they bring back the delicious and well priced Cobb salad you used to have. That was definitely a favorite of ours.
Food was outstanding. Our server Pam was horrible! Nearly finished the meal before we saw her. Afterwards we waited so long another server cleared our table. Twice she passed our table with zero acknowledgment, just brought herthe check and dropped it on the table. Had to give the check to the hostess because our server was AWOL. I would go back for the food but not have Pam as my server!
My wife and I were in Orchard Park and were jonesin wings. Duffs crossed my mind, but then I remembered their wings suck. We had never eaten at The Byrd House so decided to give it a go. The wings were excellent. We ordered them Hot BBQ. They came out crispy and delicious. The fries were good as well. Well be back for sure.
Service is great, entrees are perfectly decent, the music is way too loud to hold a conversation or avoid tinnitus the next day.The goal was to spend time with friends, we couldnt have a conversation and no staff member was empowered to turn down the volume, even though the areas farthest from the speakers were full, and everything near the band was empty.
Was very meh. Multiple bloody marys ordered at the table and every one was different. The bang bang shrimp was amazing but the corned beef was very plain. Same with the salt potatoes that I put my own salt on and the carrots that just seemed like plain steamed carrot sticks. For a holiday special it was just very lackluster
The soup was amazing but the menu is a little confusing. Never got a real answer when ordering a sandwich you can substitute or add a cup of soup or salad for $2.50. So if you get a cup of soup, wouldnt it be $2.50 not $3.95. I got a dollar off the bill but never got a real answer from the owner or the waitress.

2022-05-22Went out for a reasonably priced light dinner. Both of our burgers were perfectly prepared along with orders of sweet potatoes fries. Staff was pleasant and swift on thier feet. Great to see the warm weather has arrived and the outside area was opened. It really changes the feel inside with the garage doors opened up.

2022-02-12Bar: Great mix of outside, high-top table, and stand-up areas. Attentive bartenders. Good beer list.Food: Everyone goes in expecting bar-quality food and ends up thinking, That was really good food. That kitchen punches way above its weight class.

2022-03-06Terrible food!! My fiancé and I had fish fry with cole slaw a macaroni salad. With in 4 hours of eating at this restaurant we were both violently ill. I guess that’s what we get for ordering fish on a Saturday! Terrible atmosphere! The waitress was awful. Overall horrible experience! This place has really gone down hill!

2022-05-20Im really disappointed that I have to give a 1 star. We were here a week ago, we were in Buffalo for the night. We have stopped here before with family members. We loved the food and thought we would stop again. Thurs night not really busy, walked in and waited to be sat.....waitress came over to us, made an annoyed sound and walked away with a menu. We waited another min or so and thought maybe we should seat ourselves.. so we did. We sat at a table right behind the hostess stand...and many waitresses and even the hostess walked right past us seating others, tried to get their attention but felt like we were being ignored. We waited another 10 mins and walked out...really disappointed!

2022-04-28I went to this place after my favorite place down the street Tap and Grille was full one night. It was a cold and snowy winter night, during the COVID public health crisis and at the time, there was a state wide mask mandate in effect. I thought it was odd that zero employees were wearing masks. I then saw they all were wearing T-shirts that said “I have Byrd Immunity”. So yeah, if you are in cult 45, this place is definitely for you. Otherwise, it will most certainly leave a bad taste in your mouth.

2022-02-10Lunch here was just awful. The soup was extremely salty, the salmon I ordered on top of my salad was deep fried and oozing with grease. The BLT comes with cheese (?!?!) and the French fries have some kind of gluten-laden coating on them.

2022-03-302nd visit! I didnt rate the 1st experience, but will now. 1st visit - large party - 16 people, husband ordered filet mignon (medium rare) the steak came cooked all the way through - not even a hint of red or pink at all, sent it back - owner brings the new steak out to him & apologizes, it was just terrible! He ate what he could of the garbage piece of meat as we had plans with our group & needed to move on.2nd visit my mother in law suggest we meet here for lunch with my children, its a central location for both of us. I ordered a Greek burger well done & my daughter (5 yrs old) gets the kids burger. I also order her burger well done - I cut my burger in 1/2 & the entire inside was bright pink, I mean it was rare! sent it back, did not reorder - again we had plans & needed to move on, my daughters burger was blackened - we cut away as much of the burned that we could. Will not go back! I wish I would have snapped pics but was so mad I didnt think about it until after.

2022-06-27Six of us were there for brunch, and after hearing raves about their brunch, we were kinda disappointed. Food was just ok; not bad, just not great. Service, however, was very good!
