The Canuck rules. My go to spot to watch any game. Great food and service. Bartender Trent is top notch.

Great drinks, food, and staff! An all around great experience with every live NHL game on at least one tv! Definitely a highlight having Labatt Blue and Labatt Light in NYC with great people.
Great place. Aggressively Canadian, which is the best kind of Canadian. I just wish they had some more Canadian things on the menu like ice wine, Nanaimo bars, London fog, pierogies!
The shay burger is delicious. Perfect place to watch a hockey game and feel like you’re at home.
Hockey Fans unite!! Easy walk to the garden. The best spot pre or post game! Wings were solid and the fries were fantastic. So many TV’s too! Will definitely be going back.
We went on opening night and it was not quite what we expected (kitchen staff was overwhelmed). But we are going to come back.Couple of notes that could improve the Canadian experience:1. Remove the peppercorn gravy from the poutine, use brown (beef) gravy instead. And less gravy, ours was drowning in gravy, poutine should be gravy and cheese on top bit crispy at the bottom.2. Try getting ahold of some more Canadian beers like Alexander Keiths or Richards Red3. More wings flavours4. In Canada we only serve our burgers rareWe only had minor complaints and as good Canadians we felt it was an honest attempt, looking forward to see how it goes moving forward. Ill edit my review when we go back :)

This place rocks! My go to spot after Chelsea piers for a burger, poutine and a few cold suds! The interior is super cool as well - wall-to-wall Canadian art and memorabilia.

2022-07-03First time here 7/2/22. New cool vibe, I used to come here when it was Jakes.I had the shay burger with the Caesar salad. The burger was good and so was the salad! It was a good portion as well.Friendly staff and comfortable bar stools with backs. Hooks for purses and small bags under the bar.Plenty of TVs.Ill be back!

2022-05-05We visited NYC for our 50ths and being a Canadian living in the UK, I searched for a sports bar (ideally Canadian themed), to visit and catch some hockey/ baseball this April. I found The Canuck and made plans for a Saturday night to catch my Leafs play on Hockey Night in Canada! I was so impressed with the look and vibe of The Canuck, it really felt like I was back in Canada on Hockey Night! Great atmosphere, great food, great service and a friendly crowd. I cant rate this highly enough! Love it!!!

2022-04-18The Chinese takeout wings might be the most delicious wings Ive ever had! Poutine is a must try, they absolutely nail it every time. Great staff that cares about great, friendly service, plenty of seating, and they always have a good game on. My highest recommendation.

2022-01-21Check out The Canuck!!!! Look no further for a great Canadian bar in Manhattan! We had a happy hour here before the Leafs & Rangers game at MSG (might I add, it’s a 13 min walk to MSG from The Canuck), and this place did not disappoint! They will do random game day drink specials, so we had $5 LaBatt Light cans. Also, the food is not typical “bar food.” The club sandwich and Caesar salad were amazing, and the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of poutine was remarkable. Great poutine, great atmosphere, great people. Will be here before every MSG game!

2022-06-09The Canuck is awesome. Some of the best bar food in the city. You have to try the poutine! My favorite burger in the city is the Shay…another must. Games are always on and there isn’t a bad spot in the entire bar to see a TV. You may see some Canadian celebrities stop by too…

2022-05-30Had a good time here, but check your tab before and after they run your card. Cool place, good poutine and selection of beers. Stopped here for a beer after a bus into town.Low rating is because after I gave the server my card, they brought it back charged with an extra $7.50 shot added to it. Im glad I caught it and after trying to figure it out the manager was able to refund the incorrect charge, then I paid the correct tab.

2021-12-28Great addition to NYC bar scene! The bar is very well put together and there’s always something eye-catching on the walls. Food is excellent - personally, I enjoyed the wings - and there’s a really solid selection of beers and drinks. Our server was super helpful and answered all of our questions. Overall, a great experience and will be back soon!

2022-04-23Great spot, great wings/poutine, AMAZING memorabilia on the walls, and nice Canadian crowd. Sadly, I’m docking a star for being under staffed and double charging us on more than one occasion - needs to get a little more organized. I get it…they’re 6 months in but…still.
