The Cellar Door in other cities:
Absolutely loved the atmosphere and as it was my first time there tonight, the beers I tried were fantastic! So relaxing and a great way to end your day. The place was immaculate, very clean restrooms, all around hands down one of the best places to go for drinks in the city of Oswego!
What an awesome little hole in the ground prohibition style bar that has been retrofitted into a modern day micro brewery. Grateful atmosphere and wonderful bartender. Almost forgot to mention their beer. Its probably the best beer Ive had in the entire state of New York. They also have live music on Friday evenings and a weekend brunch.
I absolutely LOVE this place. The owners state of mind is perfectly focused with well-set goals for the business. I went there to meet friends and came early and the owner loved to talk about the business. Delicious beer and very clean area all throughout with a stellar contemporary design. Oswego needed this.
Was in town visiting this past Tuesday and decided to go on the Taco Tuesday ride with Murdocks Bike shop. Ride finish at the Cellar Door. Im not a beer drinker, but I tell you those tacos were some of the best I have ever had and I have had tacos all over the U.S.So, do your self a favor and take a nice bike ride with Murdocks and then enjoy some fantastic tacos. And if you like beer Im sure you will not be disappointed.
Aesthetically, this place is awesome. The decor is minimal, but appealing and I enjoyed the look of it. Someone may correct me, but I believe this is not handciap accessible. The beer options are fair, especially for a small town. The food was so-so and my first choice from the very limited menu was 86ed. I ordered a burrito, which was spicy-hot to the point of being unpleasant (though not indicated as such on the menu).Ultimately, I really wanted to like this place, but it left me feeling luke warm at best.
Awesome upstate NY beers. All alcohol served here is 100% made in NY, meaning all ingredients used are grown in NY and the products produced in NY as well. Small town brewery with an awesome atomosphere. This brewery has a variety of styles of beer that I wouldnt normally choose to drink but all are fantastic and never disappoint. Well worth checking out if youre in the Oswego/Syracuse/Rochester areas!
Very hard to find online or on yelp and need some outside signage but this place is great cant wait to come back. Could only give 4 because I only tried the beer but certainly a five potential. I would lose the couches and put in some nice high top tables instead of sitting six you could sit 20
Thank goodness beer is brewed again in Oswego. The brewers have a fine sense of history and have posted a collection of photographs on the towns brewing past. That wall built of limestone in a tap room a walk down from the main street is beautiful and historical too. Peppy service from a local staff helps you enjoy the beer in the cool cellar. It has an ultra lounge collection of couches if your entourage doesnt want to sit at the bar.If only the kolsch tasted like a kolsch brewed in Cologne.See if you can find the vision board collage created by the brewers. I saw that and forgave them for the kolsch.

2021-10-26Love the atmosphere and comfy leather couches. Wonderful food aromas will draw you there and my fave is the Charcuterie Board. Knowledgeable professional staff, something new going on every night. Tasty brews, awesome atmosphere, great assortment of patrons from all walks—my fave place in Oz ❤️

2019-04-20Phenomenal place. If you’re looking for a nice place to get some quality bar food with some top notch beer - this is your place. The garlic parmesan wings are delicious - they’re baked, but still nice and crispy. The best part about the entire place though is the staff! The manager, Terry, is the greatest guy - always takes awesome care of us when we go. If you’re in the market for a beverage in Oswego, look no further!

2018-05-22This place is amazing. I cant say enough good things about this place. The menu has a good number of sandwiches perfect for drinking beer. I tried the Ruben wrap. It was very tasty and not too filling. The sandwich and pint was about $12. The beers are displayed on a TV screen with all of the important information and the staff is very knowledgeable about each one. Im very impressed how this place has grown. My favorite place for a beer and a sammich!

2021-11-16We went for Trivia night. First time Ive been there. Nice place, comfortable. Other patrons seemed friendly enough. Trivia was fun. Had a good time. They have bar food but we didnt have any as we had eaten already. Full bar, large selection of beers. Dont drink beer so dont know about it. I will probably go back for Trivia again.

2017-12-21I like the laid back atmosphere. I never have trouble finding a beer I really like. Ive only had the food one time, but it was very good. At times its a little crowded for the small space, but it doesnt take long to get served. Theyre always friendly.

2018-03-31Great kitchen and fantastic brews. The staff is very welcoming and the owner is quite accommodating. What they dont produce themselves they typically pull from distilleries and breweries in the finger lakes. Always a wide selection of craft beers and locally distilled spirits. They have events most nights of the week including a movie night with popcorn. This location can be a quiet respite in the loud bustle of this college town. Worth stopping by for a drink.
